Fav. Food: Steak, medium rare with a fair amount of steak sauce
Hated Food: Bologna
Hobbies:
Boxing - Jett is stressed a lot; he’s delivered a persona that is high maintenance and the easiest way for him to work out his stress is by pulverizing something. For particularly stressful days, he’ll hammer out an hour's worth of a beating on the punching bag he keeps at home. Jett is a competitive person by nature and enjoys a good match in the ring.
Stocks - A successful businessman, Jett keeps his eye on the money. He invests his funds wisely and trusts his gut instinct—which he claims rarely lets him down. All in all, he’s made more money than he’s lost, so he can’t complain. Watching numbers rise and fall isn’t as fun as driving a speedy sports car around, but it has its quirks and through luck or skill, he seems to know what he’s doing.
Appraising – His mother was a collector of the strange and unusual, so Jett grew up with her ramblings of anything antique. It was his mother’s passion that got him interested, and being around aged things brings him a sense of nostalgia. Like stocks, prices can change overnight and investing time, energy and money is always a thrill. He likes to keep informed and know the value of what he’s around, so he keeps up to date with his research so that he’s as accurate and educated as possible.
Business – Jett has always invested everything he has into the things that mean the most to him. He started at a locally owned antique store as a part time worker in high school, and through hard work he earned the favor of the owner. When it was time to sell, Jett took him up on the offer and expanded the already successful antique store into a multi-faceted business venture. Though he still owns the original brick and mortar storefront, he has since expanded to have an online store, an appraisal and restoration studio, an auction house, and a warehouse. He's become a trusted name in handling estate sales. He has an office downtown and has a wide variety of career options to offer others. He puts his heart into his business and is intent to push its success. He uses his influence and power to ensure he can look after members of the Dark Mirror Court and always has positions open for them.
Virtues:
Clever -- Tactful and quick witted, Jett works to keep everyone on their toes. He’s a quick thinker and can work well under pressure. He’s got a quick tongue and a sharp mind and he’s at his best when he’s annoyed or trying to prove a point. He’s got quick recall and can assess a situation just as fast. It doesn’t take him long to come to a decision since he’s almost always plotting something. His attentiveness to situations and typically crafty ways mixed with his charisma drives him to manipulate both people and situations if need it suits him.
Confident -- Jett can’t be brought down. He’s confident in himself and his skills—and of the company he keeps. He knows what he can do and doesn’t really consider what he can’t do; if he tries hard enough, he’s sure that he can get anything done. He exudes an aura of confidence and never seems to doubt himself. He’s critical of his faults, but never verbalizes them; if he finds something wrong with himself, he’d never let anyone else know, would just work to fix it without drawing attention to it. Not that he thinks there’s anything wrong with himself; in his opinion, he’s practically flawless. On the downside to his belief and trust in himself and his skills, overconfidence and arrogance plague Jett, but so far, so good; he’s yet to make a complete a** of himself.
Charismatic -- He’s handsome, charming and friendly. He’s a professional at sweet talking and no one can tell him otherwise. He’s relatively good at reading people and uses this to his advantage both for his own gain and to establish connections. He knows when to praise and flatter and when to hold his tongue and often uses this skill to win favors or friends. He makes a conscious effort to remember names and faces so he doesn’t insult anyone or embarrass himself. His charisma extends to everyone, though the manner in which he uses it is vital: to those he wishes to impress, he uses his skills to please and praise. It is rare for him to lose his cool; he has a carefully cultivated appearance and persona and he will always do his best to be likable.
Ambitious -- He is aware of his skills and will push himself to achieve all that he can—and more. He’ll do what he has to in order to get what he wants, and will never stop fighting for what he believes in. Jett is determined and knows what he wants, and has the willpower and drive to achieve whatever he’s aiming for. He never gives up, no matter how desperate the situation. He’s willing to go the extra mile and do whatever is necessary to achieve his goals.
Flaws:
Self-serving -- Jett’s priorities always start with himself and his interests. He doesn’t often do a good thing just to do it; there’s usually some ulterior motive. His altruism often has at least some level of performative action about it. He weighs the pros and cons of a decision and if it benefits him, he’ll pursue it. His goals and interests trump that of those around him, and he will pursue what he wants even if the outcome is contrary to those of someone close to him. He is very good at being manipulative and misleading others and while he often keeps his end game well-hidden to avoid detection, those he have stepped over may find him unpredictable or untrustworthy.
Competitive -- Jett likes to win. He doesn’t like anyone to be better than him, and he takes it personally when a new challenger approaches. He will go out of his way to establish dominance if need be. Sometimes he pushes himself and others too hard. He doesn’t like to lose and doesn’t like to back down. He can be confrontational and abrasive and is not against employing sneaky tactics if it ensures a victory.
Unforgiving -- Jett is a resentful being and will not easily forgive. He doesn’t believe in apologies and the only time he’s ever given one is when he’s lying to his teeth. Actions speak louder than words, and you can’t just say you’re sorry to Jett. Chances are, if you’ve pissed him off, you’re staying on his s**t list—which could very well be forever. If there’s an altercation of any sort with Jett, it’s best to explain what happened so you don’t find yourself the victim of harassment.
Prideful -- Jett thinks incredibly highly of himself and holds himself to very high standards. Just the same, he holds those that represent him to those same standards. He expects perfection in everything he does, and wants to see the same effort from those around him. He carries himself in high regard and puts a lot of effort into his presentation. He is arrogant enough to think he’s better than most people, and he takes great offense when someone challenges him to that. He doesn’t like to be wrong and will double down and fight about it long before admitting he might be wrong.

Challenge: “Looks like I’ll be pulling the strings from now on.”
Sailor Scout Attack: Crossbar Calamity Remarque can target all opponents within a ten foot radius. Strings descend on the target’s major joints and tightly bind themselves to limit movement; the target is unable to move more than five feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. Limbs might feel a bit heavy, however the target can move in a mostly functional manner provided they don’t get too near to the five foot radius. The strings will remain in effect for around twenty five seconds until they lose strength and snap off. This magic can be used three times.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Captive Audience Remarque can target all opponents within a fifteen foot radius. Strings descend on the target’s major joints and tightly bind themselves to limit movement; the target is unable to move more than four feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. Limbs will feel heavier and the target’s movements will become choppier and more difficult to control. The strings can cause an unpleasant, biting sensation; players can choose for the strings to bruise, break skin, or to take other lasting damage. The strings will remain in effect for around thirty seconds until they lose strength and snap off. This magic can be used twice.
Senshi Enhancement - Super Sailor Scout Attack: Puppetmaster
Remarque can target a single opponent within a fifteen foot radius. Invisible strings descend on the target’s major joints and tightly bind themselves to command their movement; the target may not even be aware that Remarque has used any magic on them until they find one of their limbs jerking by his own will. By his will, he can puppet a target to perform basic tasks, such as throwing a punch, pulling their legs out from under them, or limiting their movement. He cannot perform complex actions or take control of someone’s entire body. The target’s movements will be jerky and somewhat uncoordinated so it is sometimes easy to tell that they are not in control of themselves. A target can resist the action, but the strings will bite into their skin and cause an unpleasant stinging sensation; at player discretion, they can bruise or cut skin and pain can last beyond the duration of the magic. This cannot be used to permanently maim or kill a character, and while the character will be used as a puppet for him to control, players do not lose complete autonomy of their character for the duration of his magic. He can use this magic three times per battle, for twenty seconds at a time.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Marionette Mastery Remarque can target all opponents within a twenty foot radius. Strings descend on the target’s major joints and tightly bind themselves to limit movement; the target is unable to move more than three feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. Limbs will feel heavier and the target’s movements will become choppier and more difficult to control; the strings will tug at the target’s limbs erratically, forcing their body to move in awkward, unpleasant ways. The more a character fights against the movement, the more painful the process is. For the duration of the magic, the strings can cause sharp, biting sensations and players can choose for the strings to bruise, break skin, or to take other lasting damage after the magic ends. The strings will remain in effect for around forty five seconds until they lose strength and snap off. This magic can be used once.
Prince Powers:
Remarque Crystal Power Manipulation: Utilizing the power of his crystal, Remarque summons a flurry of strings to attach and hinder movement of every target (determined by him at the time of casting) within one hundred feet of him. Allies will be free to move around the area while strings descend on the enemies' major joints and affect movement; they are unable to move more than four feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. It will feel as though the strings wrapped around their body are being pulled by an invisible puppeteer, forcing them to move in awkward, choppy movements that they cannot control. The strings can cause extreme discomfort or even pain with too much struggling, but players can choose to have the sensation fade when the magic ends or take lasting damage in the form of lacerations or bruising.
The effects of the attack will last for up to one minute but characters may be able to struggle enough to increase their movement range. The process is painful but third stage characters can struggle enough to move up to five feet, and fourth stage characters can struggle enough to move up to eight feet. Movements will still be choppy and uncomfortable but they will have more range and a bit more control over their movements after stretching out the strings.
Marionette Mirage: A passive magic triggered only when Remarque is in extreme duress; when activated, five decoy puppets appear around him. They look exactly like him and are capable of mimicking his actions, however they are incapable of doing damage of any sort. They are fairly fragile and can be defeated with two hits for first and second stage, and one hit for ranks higher than that. When destroyed, they turn to dust. They are incapable of completing physical or magical attacks, have no energy signature, and cannot think, process information or speak for themselves. They can only mirror basic actions Remarque has recently performed (such as standing, walking, running, dodging, etc.) for thirty seconds before the magic fades. They are most useful for causing a distraction to allow Remarque to escape a hostile situation. This can occur only once per battle.

He is physically, male, about twenty, 5'8", and has long blonde hair, often kept up in elaborate hair styles, of which he loves to include braids and beads. He is both a dreamer and a hopeless romantic and is also both gullible and doesn't think he's very brave. He is an aspiring writer and has always preferred words to fighting. As Remarquian fashion dictates, he is incredibly fashionable and is always playing with new clothes and foreign fashions as well as his own. He is an avid adventurer who loves visiting new worlds and the more dangerous regions of his own, and he is always willing to introduce people to his homeworld.
Asteroid – Remarque
World Overview Known most for its colorful and fanciful lifestyle, Remarque has become a fairly popular tourist attraction. Those living on the asteroid are privy to a wide variety of lifestyles, however the majority of the towns sans the capital are just barely above the poverty level. The capital city is a home to a culmination of middle to upper class individuals and exists as much for tourist attraction as it does for political matters. Fashion and appearance is important on Remarque, regardless of lifestyle or income, and they are encouraged to express and excel in artistry of some sort. Nearly the whole of Remarque's habitable regions are bathed in light for all hours of the day. Early mornings look like sunrise, and the rest of the day until early afternoon consist of a bright sun and bright blue skies, however afternoons are comparable to twilight. The evenings until early morning are a perpetual state of dusk.
World Information
In the habitable region of Remarque, the land is flat and fairly accommodating. On the half the sun touches, it is always a comfortable temperature. Remarque does not experience seasons, so the climate remains akin to autumn year round. These conditions aren't particularly ideal for tending to crops, so the towns in the country grow what crops they can and the rest are imported.
On the outskirts of the habitable region, the only area on Remarque which experiences night and day, the temperatures are cooler. This area bares the scars of the environment, and if ever it could have been a habitable region, such is now almost impossible. Earthquakes and gas explosions were not uncommon when mining was taking place. The ground has been stripped of its nutrients, and there are the ruins and remains of towns unfortunate enough to be decimated by explosions and earthquakes. Due to these effects, much of the land has been exposed. Once the provider for minerals and rare gemstones, the outskirts have since been abandoned. Caves and tunnels in the ground lay exposed. The land is fairly dangerous here and is ill fitting for visitors or locals who value appearance and well-being.
The dark side of Remarque is a fairly unexplored region; a thick forest and steep cliffs combined with almost absolute darkness make it nearly impossible to navigate. Strange creatures have been known to wander into the outskirts and sometimes as far in as the plains. It has been theorized that there is an entirely different world on the dark side of Remarque, however it is rare to find a Remarquian willing to discuss such. Adventure and danger is ill suited to Remarquians, who would rather preen and craft than venture anywhere near this region.
Regions:
The Capital: Most people who come to Remarque will only ever visit the capital; a hotspot for artistic ingenuity, the Capital is a single, large city which accommodates a large number of both aspiring and successful artists and performers. There are nearly more theatres than restaurants, and a gallery on every corner. Nearly biweekly the capital is holding some sort of festival to appreciate new art. The streets are cobbled, while the most prominent architecture has been done in a gothic style, there is no shortage of uniqueness. Anything that can be made artistic has been. Citizens from the country side or otherworldly immigrants often migrate to see if they can't make themselves famous, and just as many have found fame, many have thrown their lives away in such an effort. The poor and struggling have made homes in back allies, and performers hoping to earn a little extra income can be found scattered throughout the city. Due to the tourism Remarque receives, there have been outside influences in nearly everything; their idea of fashion is a hodgepodge of their own gaudy influence and the high fashion of the tourists they receive. In addition to popular artists, performers, writers, musicians and artisans, culinary chefs from other worlds are invited to Remarque in an effort to promote creativity and share their knowledge and skill.
The Plains: A multitude of small towns and villages speckle the plains, which expand outward from the Capital. Crops and animals are tended to in this area, and it is within the plains that the majority of Remarquians live. While the citizens here take their work very seriously, they are still a part of the Remarquian society and value appearances and craft. A number of products sold in the Capital come from craftsman in this region.
The Outskirts: The furthest region from the Capital that still receives light, the Outskirts is the collective term for any area bordering the darkness. The Outskirts could never be described as thriving, however a few more daring citizens set up establishments and a mining community in order to harvest minerals and gems that were very popular in the Remarquian society. Many natural disasters plague this region, and there are more skeletons than living souls in any of the Outskirts. It is a haunting region; ruins and dilapidated buildings remain. This area is only for the brave of heart—or the desperate. The land is still rich with gems, however rock slides, earth quakes, and underground explosions have been not to occur in this rocky terrain. The Outskirts are the only location on Remarque that see both night and day.
The Shadows: Because only about a half of the asteroid receives some form of direct sunlight at all times, this leaves half the asteroid in almost complete darkness. Little is known of the Shadows, other than it is suicide to venture beyond the Outskirts. More myth than fact is reported of this region, however it is known to house strange, vicious creatures that thrive in darkness. Rarely, a beast will venture into the Outskirts in search of food; some have made it as far in as the Plains. Steep, rocky cliffs and trenches, coupled with thick, thorned foliage make this area almost impenetrable; there is no light to navigate, and providing an artificial light would only attract the attention of the local beasts. This area is shrouded in mystery, and while anyone interested in traveling to the region might be labeled insane, the area is open to anyone willing to brave it.
Cultural Information
Society: The people of Remarque could easily be described as self absorbed. A society that thrives on creativity, the people of Remarque are expected to express some artistic ingenuity and are introduced to a number of outlets during their grade school years. Regardless of social class, all schools are structured to educate and introduce children in such fields. The people of Remarque focus more on skills than education. Because of this, many of Remarque's best scientists, specialists and doctors have immigrated from their homeworlds—and are paid heartily for such.
Fashion: Where gaudy is good and the bigger the better, Remarquians always overdress. Their clothes are phenomenal in construct and they waste no effort in craftsmanship. Elaborate designs and cuts are common for those who can afford them—and for those who can't, they often improvise and develop their own unique style. Color, texture, design and an overabundance of overwhelming, useless and gaudy accessories are important to Remarquian fashion.
Economy: Most of Remarque's economy comes in to form of foreign currency attained from tourist locations. The Capital doubles as an artistic hotspot and an overlarge souvenir shop. Main exports include clothing, accessories, and arts while imports predominantly include crops and raw materials.
Festivals: While far less prominent in the plains, festivals are very common and important in the Capital. Nearly biweekly a festival is held; in Remarque, chances are that if there is something worth celebrating, there's a celebration for it.
Politics: Remarque is ruled over by a council of elected officials. The senshi of the planet, while considered an unofficial member of this council, serves little purpose in times of peace. Mainly a figurehead, the senshi is left their own affairs unless called upon by the council.
Law and Justice: Because there is no real police force on Remarque, the majority of conflicts are settled through words and minor skirmishes. The crime rate on Remarque is fairly low; theft is the most frequent crime, though as most Remarquians value physical appearances in an abnormally high manner, physical altercations are fairly rare. Murder is almost unheard of. In incidents in which a civilian cannot handle matters on their own, the senshi is typically called in to assess a situation before brining it before the council. Jail time and sentencing is a very brief process and sentences often include working in the Outskirts. In situations where a civilian's life is threatened, either by local, foreigner or beasts, it is the senshi's responsibility to tend to the situation with as few casualties as possible.

Realm Information
Quote:
He had trees on his Realm, tall and covered in branches and leaves. He had a stream of fresh water, soft grass. Flowers, from some of the strange green stones in Mirrorspace and some from his own. He’d been stocking up on supplies, dropping off a little extra every trip he could manage as much, but there was still so much to build. He had one structure–a little cabin, that had taken longer to build than he wanted to admit, but it was hard when you had to move everything in by yourself, sometimes just one piece at a time. He wasn’t into construction. It wasn’t like he really used the place, anyway. It was there for emergencies.
Magic Revision - Updated September 2023; Original Magic:
Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Crossbar Calamity Strings descend on the target’s major joints and affect movement; the target is unable to move more than five feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. Limbs might feel a bit heavy, however the target can move in a mostly functional manner provided they don’t get too near to the five foot radius. The strings will remain in effect for around fifteen seconds until they lose strength and snap off.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Captive Audience In the same way that the first attack consisted of strings fastening on the target, this attack does the same, however lasts for twenty seconds. The radius shrinks in size, preventing the target from moving further than four feet from where they stood when the strings attached. There would be a greater sense of discomfort and the strings would cling tighter, making movements choppier and more difficult for the target to control.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Marionette Mastery The same as his super attack, however his attack can extend to multiple targets (no more than two) provided they are both within his line of vision when he uses the attack.
Prince Powers: Remarque Crystal Power Manipulation: Utilizing the power of his crystal, Remarque summons a flurry of strings to attach and hinder movement of everyone (sans Dark Mirror Senshi) within one hundred feet of him. Dark Mirror Senshi will be free to move around the area while strings descend on the enemies' major joints and affect movement; they are unable to move more than four feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. The strings can cause slight discomfort or even pain with too much struggling. Limbs might feel a bit heavy and the strings make movement jerky, however the target can move in a mostly functional manner provided they don’t get too near to the four foot radius.
The effects of the attack will last for up to one minute unless a character struggles in the strings, though in doing so they may cause more damage to themselves. While first stage characters cannot break the strings through struggling, a second stage character that struggles may be freed in as little as forty seconds, third stage characters in as little as twenty five, and fourth stage characters can wriggle out within 10-15 seconds.
Marionette Mirage: A passive magic triggered only when Remarque is in extreme duress, when activated anywhere from three to five decoy puppets appear around him. They look exactly like him and are capable of mimicking his actions, however they are incapable of doing damage of any sort. They are fairly fragile and can be defeated with 1-2 hits, depending on rank of the attacker. When destroyed, they turn to dust. They are incapable of completing physical attacks, performing magical attacks, have no energy signature, and cannot think, process information or speak for themselves. They merely mirror Remarque's actions for as long as thirty seconds before the magic fades. They are most useful for causing a distraction to allow Remarque to escape a hostile situation. This can occur only once per battle.
