Like Tantalus and Damocles, as well with Chariklo and Amytis, Mintaka was one to keep her promised. After being reunited with the two couples, and learning more of their selves now, It was hard to deny the irrestible urge to join their family.
Even more so with the dangers of the future, and past to herself and Aurostibite.
She hadn't thought she could contact the prince of puppetry so easily, but through the help of the dark mirrors she had met, she was able to ask for his presence to fulfill a promise she had made a long time ago.
As such, she waited on the tops of the roofs facing the most open of the sky, watching it. the more she looked at it, the more she wanted to think she could miss it. But something pulled at her deeper and tighter to the mirror walkers and that too was something that worried her.
They all welcomed her, and she welcomed them.
"ahhh....sometimes decisions are hard." Mintaka stared up at star that she was named for.

"Only the important ones," replied a voice from behind her; Remarque's energy signature pulsed around him when he appeared--from a conveniently located mirror. He had made an effort to be on time, though it seemed that even when early, she had arrived before him.
"You're early," he noted. "Eager to meet me, or just had nothing better to do?"
He moved to stand next to her and extended a hand in greeting; he liked Mintaka, and a bit of friendly teasing never hurt anyone. Much. He was happy to see her--and happier to know how other members of the Court felt such closeness to her. It made him feel optimistic.
It made him hopeful.

"Of course it's the important ones." She smiled as he appeared, and regardless of their difference statuses and different court, she regarded the man warmly. Remarque, like most of the dark mirrors, had been a large part of her future.
and were always a large part of her past.
"I think you have this princely ego that perhaps thinks women wait early for you, Remarque..." Mintaka said, really in jest, if you couldn't tell by the wide smile she wore. "Perhaps I really did have nothing better to do then take you with me to my planet for a time."
She paused, taking his hand. "Are you excited? I have a little more power, so it'll be much easier to go." She breathed in, pulling out her phone. "I have other things to talk to you about, but...after we see my planet...okay?"

A smile tugged at Remarque's features. "If it makes you feel any better, it's not just women that wait early for you. Men, too." He winked, for good measure, but her excitement was infectious. "I'm all ears for you, Mintaka. And all eyes. I am excited to see your planet," he admitted; and how could he lie to her? He had made no secret of his desire to see space, and every opportunity out there was like a taste of victory.
Even if only for a moment.
Their time would come; he had no doubt. For now though, each little step was a little victory; he just needed to remember that.
"I'm ready when you are."

"Men too?" She laughed, "A true prince!" She cupped her chin and shook her head. "I'm sorry if I seem a bit bubbly but so many good things have happened within the week." Her time with Magiore had been the most happiest, but now that she was recovered from the funhouse, she was feeling all sorts of...good. All sorts!
"Okay! I've never taken a royal but I don't think it cost to much power!" Her finger hovered over the button, "I hope you don't mind, but I need to be touching you for it to work." She settled her arm in his, closing her eyes as she always did when she went to her planet and pressed the button.
It almost felt a little more rushed but it took no time at all and when she opened her eyes again, they were surrounded by the bamboo walls and ruins of the former kingdom of Mintaka.
"We're here!" She gripped Remarque's arm, pleased that he was in fact still there and let go. "Welcome to Mintaka! I will try not to scare you if I stare off. Sometimes...I see vision of a past self." She laughed and then started to walk down the broken brick cobble path. "Do you want to see the castle? or the ponds?" Or just take it in that he was on a planet? She wasn't sure if this was his first visit or not but...
"So....What...what do you think?" She looked around, her gaze lifting to the two star suns that actually made Mintaka. Her 'planet' was just a plot of land stuck between the two. One seemed brighter then the other and she realized that it was almost time for the first sun to set. They wouldn't have to much time before the rainstorms began again.

Remarque didn't mind if she had to make contact; it wasn't like she had to grope him or kiss him to do it, so he was fairly indifferent when the contact actually came.
Teleporting, however, left him a little less than indifferent; he felt a bit dazed, like tearing through space had left a part of him behind, back on Earth. A quick check informed him he was all there, still in one piece, and then afforded him the opportunity to look around. He hadn't realized he was holding his breath until he released it; his lungs had a faint burn when he inhaled again. "I think it's beautiful," he said after a moment, moving after her. "…I want to see all of it."
He just wanted to know what was so special about senshi planets; he wanted to know everything they held, everything they could be. Hew wanted to find that one little piece that would get him into space. Get them into space.
"…If you have a vision, it's fine. I've been attacked on planets before because of visions. I don't mind them," he said, waving his hand nonchalantly; despite how interested he seemed to be in taking in the surroundings, he didn't seem intent to let conversation suffer. "…What's your favorite place here? What visions have you had before?"

"Of course, if you'd come this way prince." She held out her hand to him, leading him over broken cobble paths, overgrown with foliage and vines. The further they went into the ruins, the more evident where they had landed was far larger then a simple housing unit. It had expansive outdoor halls, with buildings interconnecting with each other. Her walkthrough was quiet at first, the splash of a Koi fish in the ponds, a croak of the frog creatures, and a silent cry from the cranes.
She waited till they were in the center of the complex before speaking again. "This is my favorite, it's where I see her the most." The gardens were overgrown, and the buildings in ruins but it wasn't hard to see that it was the most inner of the sanctum. A table was set in the middle of it all, with four chairs that were obviously from earth, and she pulled one of the chairs out, then gestured for him to do the same. She pulled a third out just in case Past Mintaka felt like joining them.
"She's not very vengeful. Mintaka that is." She added, "This was a place of peace in the past, of trade and good will and happiness. It seemed that Mintaka had some ties to the silver kingdom, but very loosely. Not very involved with war."
She reached down and set up a umbrella in the middle of the table, spreading far over them and waited another moment. There was a distant rumble...then the sound of rain as it hit the ground. "We came at a pretty odd time." She added as the umbrella covered them from the heavy rain.
"The rain was good for crops like rice and wheat and stuff. I've found paddies in the distant, and creatures that could produce silk. Sometimes Mintaka walks past me, and she's not very talkative but....I see things she see's and it has meaning to her...and sometimes I feel it does for me too." She crossed her leg
As if that summoned the apparition, Mintaka's ghost walked the grounds around the garden, looking at her but not seeing her. Looking at their spot but not seeing their spot.
"So ask me what you want Remarque, and I'll answer."

Remarque didn't much understand the ways of Senshi and apparitions of their past, so he didn't press it. Instead, he just enjoyed the strangeness of the world he had been invited to. He took a seat across from Mintaka, closing his eyes so he could listen to the rain.
It was a familiar sound, but so different.
Or maybe it was just his imagination, and being on another planet just had some strange, reverberating effect within him.
His attention was not focused on the rain for long; when Mintaka spoke of the Negaverse, he opened his eyes and looked at her. "For a week?" he prompted. "What did they want of you?"
…And how had she managed to survive?
He seemed on edge, unnerved but composed. He propped his elbows on the table and leaned forward, intent on ensuring he heard her answer. It would be too easy to let the rain drown out her words, and for as much as he had been enjoying the noise earlier, his attention was fully on the senshi in front of him.

"Ah yes." She reached under the table now, pulling out a few things, mainly a set up for tea and set about brewing a hot cup. With the rain, the usually warm planet cooled, and it gave her a little bit of the chill.
It was also something to do to calm herself while she spoke. Thinking back on the event still scared her. Thinking about the week of torture and the pain and the immense hatred she had never experienced before then?
"Answers." She set the tea set to boil on the little portable stove and waited. How did she explain to him what they seeked when she wasn't even sure herself?
"Answers to questions I didn't know, nor have I ever known." She looked away, "And from what I have heard, I was not alone. Others were captured and tor...tortured as well." Her hands shook on the cup she held.
"It was terrifying. But I was rescued and now...." She thought of Aurostibite and where she stayed with him, even if he was part of that group. "I earned a love and am loved in returned because of it. I suppose the good follows after bad right?"

Mintaka seemed full of surprises; Remarque watched as she began to brew a cup of tea. He had heard little of the happenings of the world, and a guilt filled him. He had been consumed with his own personal affairs of late, and it made him wonder just how suited he was to be in any role of leadership. He had not seen some of his Order allies for a time, and concern flushed through him.
He barely showed any emotion, though; his jaw was set firmly and his lips stayed pressed together as he digested her words.
His eyes remained on her hands; he watched as they trembled around the cup. And then, he shifted positions, and reached out to rest his hands over hers.
"You could look at it like that, I suppose. Aurostibite, isn't he? Or is he not in the picture yet?"
He recalled some things from the distant future—or, at least, what he assumed was meant to be the future. Mintaka's name was tied firmly to Aurostibite's, but he did not press the identity for very long. "Are you all right now? Is the White Moon taking care of you, or do I need to step in and do their job for them?"
There was a bitterness there, but he was overprotective. He might not have known everything that transpired between the two of them, but in one lifetime she had become a close friend of his. He did not doubt that such could be the same in this time, and he had no intention of discarding her.
If Order wouldn't keep her safe, he would. She was too valuable an asset to lose, and he trusted her more with the White Moon than he could ever trust her with the Negaverse.

"It is him." She smiled down at her cup, thinking of the night the two finally came together. The cost of it only being each other's hearts. And her loyalty.
His question of the white moon made her laugh a little and she shook her head, even as she felt his hands wrap on hers. Oh was it that the dark mirrors knew just how to comfort? Knew just the right words to say? Knew just how to be how she always thought the peace she dreamed of would be?
Even her talk with Magiore seemed to surface now, and the doubts that lingered about switching sides, about choosing something else....
"The white moon is not overly fond of me, if we are to be honest." She shook her head, "They are more bent on....destruction then anything else. And though I have few friends there.." Hydrus, Megrez, Antiope to name really, "It was not them that comforted me, nor stood by my side. Well Hydrus did but...." She laughed. "Do you know the extremeties of the order side? That by bringing you here, I am already a traitor to most of them?" She set the cup down even as the little bit of tears formed.
"I wanted peace, and to be strong, and show...show them that there is more to this then fighting. That we could build a better world. Better then the silver kingdom." She laughed bitterly, "And I get disprected, humilated, tortured." She sniffed again before wiping her eyes.
"I brought you here." She started, "I brought you here to show you this, this world." She held her hands out now, "To show you what my world is like. Crumbling, broken and old." She waited.
"I've talked to Aurostibite, and we think-" She gnawed on her lip, "that perhaps the white court is not the home where I can achieve what I want too."

With her final words, Remarque's gaze returned to her; he had been scanning the land behind her, but those were the words he wanted to hear from every Senshi.
"There is more darkness in the hearts of the White Moon Senshi then there is within my Court. There is a freedom with the Dark Mirrors that neither the White Moon nor the Negaverse offers," he began slowly, not wanting to press the subject in such a way that would frighten her off.
"…Though, I suppose I should ask what it is that you do want to achieve. I imagine whatever it is, it involves Aurostibite. You would be closer to him, you know, if you were…on the other side of the fence, as it were. Though, if you join the Negaverse you risk losing memories of him. The Dark Mirror Court suffers no such penalties. If that were something you were concerned about, of course."
He shifted positions, straightened a bit. "We would welcome you, you know. Give you shelter and hope. Freedom from the White Moon. I am already fond of you. Moreso than I am of other members of the White Moon. Preaching about their justice while slaughtering indifferently. They fight like heathens and practice little restraint. I see monsters sprouting within the White Moon. Like the Negaverse, they are being groomed to think of only violence and bloodshed. Such a pity, that. I would help you escape it, if it was your wish."

"Peace." She looked at Remarque. "Peace is all I ever wanted. Whether it is with myself, to the court, to the war. I want to start small." She nodded, "In our future selves, I feared for my life, everyday with Auro. It was a gamble....but..."
And he said it himself, and she breathed a sigh of relief, he got it. He was on the same page as her, he was offering her what she already wanted to ask.
"I could not rightfully corrupt to the negaverse. You lose more then your memories..." She tilted, "But you lose your own sense of self and worth. I have seen her...I have met her." Ate, the darkness to her. The woman in future and present that still haunted her.
"Would you help me?" Mintaka's hands stilled, her breath held. "You would do that for me? Oh Remarque..." She closed her eyes, "If you would have me part of your dark mirrors, I would happily go. There would be nothing more greater I could ask of you." She let out a breath. "May I set a time with you?" As if corrupting was as simple as an appointment in her week. She was giving up her life, her identity....but she would be gaining so much more.Kyuseisha no Hikari /whispers did you want me to start another thread?

"I would help you," he promised. "I would do that and all that I could. You deserve allies who want to support you. You deserve freedom outside of the White Moon, and outside of the Negaverse. I would be honored to offer it to you. Any time, any place. I'll be there for you."
He kept himself calm; he couldn't afford to get too excited. But it wasn't just nerves and eagerness; there was a calm that came with her words. Like they were moving in the right direction. Like he'd done something right—that he was going to get to see her into the next, better stage of her life.
It was all he could have asked for for her, and he was more than willing to play whatever part he could.

"Oh Remarque." Mintaka's gaze could only soften, as a new found hope and all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings escaped. She felt...humbled, down to her core. He didn't even blink, at her, at her goals, at her wish. It was so...It was fantastic. She could only think that those on the order would never see it like that.
And the negaverse would never let her forget.
"I have a place, somewhere that is the best to do it. Quiet." Mintaka whispered, "I hope you don't mind if Aurostibite comes? I would like...just us." The hunt for Vespa and the battle that ensued for him had scarred her.
but she didn't think Remarque would mind....
"I don't think the rain will let up anytime soon..." Perhaps it was the planets way of telling her goodbye. One last beautiful rainstorm before she wouldn't see it again...."Would you like to go home now?"
