It had been a long time since Remarque had wondered if maybe he'd made the wrong choice somewhere along the line. Tonight was absolutely no different. At first he'd wondered if maybe wandering so far from his usual haunt was going to wind up a waste of his evening, though when some order aligned signature blipped onto his radar, a grin split onto his face.
The fall weather was near to perfect for his evenings; not too hot, not too cold—and with a damn near perfect breeze. Clouds speckled the sky, rolling in and blocking what light the moon provided. Which wasn't much, anyway; the moon was just a sliver tonight, making it a bit difficult to see—particularly given that someone had made quite the effort to knock out all the nearby streetlights.
He didn't have to hurry in any particular direction; whoever it was that he felt was already nearby. He'd catch them well before they wizened up enough to get away, he was sure.
He approached one of the few still lit streetlight, the light in the darkness, figuring that to be a comfortable place to summon whoever was so nearby. He called out, loud enough to be conversational but soft enough not to be hostile, "Hiding in the darkness is not particularly becoming, is it? Why don't you come out and greet me properly."

Fall was perfect for Addison. Fall meant hoodie weather and there was nothing better than big floofy cozy hoodies. Unfortunately for Sailor Cyllene, her fuku consisted of a miniskirt and torn fishnets- no hoodie in sight.
Her arms crossed over her chest to keep herself warm as she walked, enjoying the cool breeze and sparkly night sky. Was her moon up there somewhere? she wondered to herself as she stared upwards, not paying any attention to her surroundings or the strong aura of a 3rd stage agent of Chaos.
Cyllene squealed in surprise when she heard the voice calling out to her, startling her out of her distracted state. She blinked a few times, stopping in her tracks, and looked around herself.
"H-hello?" She called out in response to whoever was out there. "I'm not hiding! I promise!" She took a few steps into the street. "I- I don't wanna fight. I'm sorry!" What was she even apologizing for?

"Wise of you," Remarque replied simply; he'd met more than his fair share of arrogant white moon senshi well below his rank that still thought they could take him on. Naturally, he'd been the one to come out on top in every incident, though it was nice to think he wouldn't have to deal with unnecessary trouble. Sauntering into the light, he made himself comfortable standing there. "I'm not looking for a fight either, so I think you're safe."
For now, at least. He figured she had the advantage of being able to see him; standing under the streetlight left him a little extra blind to the darkness around him, though he had a vague idea of her location based on the source of her voice. Which wasn't sounding particularly intimidating to begin with.
"I'm surprised a White Moon Senshi would be out here. Doesn't seem like there's much to do but stir up trouble. Something interesting going on around these parts, or did you just get lost in the darkness?"

Cyllene wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, but she knew when she could and couldn't handle a fight- and this was one of those times where she was pretty sure she'd get her a** handed to her if she tried. And really.... Trying was just far too much effort. "Wise," she laughed. "That's not something I hear often," she flashed him a large, dumb grin as she stepped out into the street, flooding herself with light. And then came the questions, which quickly spiked Cyllene's anxiety. "N-no. Nothing interesting er, sir." Now that she had gotten a chance to get a good look at him, she realized that the sheer overlay and his power signature were familiar- he was one of them fancy Dark Mirror Senshi. "I just like to explore. It's easier when you're powered up- jumping high and running fast and s**t. That and the whole stigma of a young civilian girl wandering around alone at night, y'know?"

Sir? Sir was not something Remarque was used to being called, and he wasn't sure if he should appreciate the respect or scoff at the title. He decided, at the end, to merely ignore it. With the senshi in the light, he didn't hesitate to give her a brief look over, memorizing her appearance as best he could. She wasn't familiar in the slightest, but given her aura, she might have been new—or just very skilled at lurking in the shadows. "Oh, of course. I'm a bit impressed that you'd have chosen to explore out here, at this hour. Almost like you're testing your luck. You never know who you might find prowling, hm?"
He flashed a brief smile, every bit as friendly as it was smug. "Tonight, it seems luck is in your side. You're lucky you've not run into someone out for blood." He paused, taking the moment to extend his hand in attempts for a civil introduction. "Remarque, Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry. And you are…?"

Unfortunately for Cyllene, she was not new. In fact, she had been a Senshi for nearly two years... She just hadn't managed to power up yet. Apparently, she just wasn't quite ready for that. Or something. She really didn't understand how exactly powering up worked so she just accepted her fate as a permanenet first stage Senshi. "Sometimes my judgement is a little bit clouded," she said with a laugh. Typically, Cyllene exploring meant Cyllene was under the influence and making bad decisions. Now was one of those times- but at least tonight, her opponent claimed luck was on her side. An eyebrow quirked when he extended his hand to her; the only other Chaos person that was that polite was Benitoite. Weary of this stranger, she took a step forward and reached out to shake his had. "Cyllene, Senshi of Acid. It's a pleasure to meet you so long as you're not planning to kill me," she said as she eyed his big black buttwings.

"If I'd wanted to kill you, I probably wouldn’t have announced myself. Seems a bit impractical to put all this effort into introducing myself if I was just waiting to off you." Besides; killing? If she was dead, of what use could she possibly be to him? A first stage senshi was hardly anything to be intimidated by, and given her demeanor—or, at least, what he assumed of it—he didn't think she was the sort that was causing all sorts of trouble for the other members of the Court. Returning his hand to his side after the handshake, he took on a relaxed posture. Overconfidence plagued him; it was probably a mistake to be so quick to lower his guard around anyone fighting for the White Moon, but he held himself on another level from them entirely.
"Though, you must have known that clouded judgment would be of interest to me. What have you been getting yourself into?" he asked, brow quirked. He possessed no shame in prying; she was the one who had brought it up in the first place, and curiosity was one of the few things Remarque didn't try to control.

"I'm sure not all of you agents of Chaos are sneaky assassins. For all I know, you announced and introduced yourself to throw me off and kill me when my guard is down." She shrugged her shoulders as she stared him down. That the Dark Mirror Senshi didn't want to kill White Moon Senshi was news to Cyllene, so she remained weary of him for now. Snorting with laughter, she waved a dismissive hand in the air. "It's clouded because I smoke a big fat joint before I power up. Which... In retrospect, probably isn't a very good idea when people wanna kill me!" She laughed again, and flashed him a big dopey grin. "Well, it's also clouded because I've been told I can somehow switch sides and it's all very confusing!"

Remarque forced a smile; morally, he had nothing against drugs. He had no intention of dulling his senses or putting himself in a vulnerable position, so he'd avoided them, and while he was always judging others, he kept his thoughts to himself. Best not close an open door; Cyllene had mentioned confusion at switching sides, and if there was confusion, there was room to correct the situation—and her.
"Has the White Moon told you much of switching sides? It would be unfair if they neglected to inform that you had the option of such. Like they were trying to force you to stay with them. It is an option, yes. If ever you disagree with the White Moon morals—which, I could really get into, if you wanted—then you are more than free to abandon them. Honestly, I'm surprised more of the White Moon hasn't switched sides already, though I suppose if you weren't even aware that you could, that might explain it. I'm sorry, I'd have thought your allies would have treated you better. Trusted you more. We don't have that problem, over here. We work together, as a functioning team. We don't have to lie and deceive to get along or keep our numbers strong, so really, you have all my sympathies."
Not that he really had much to offer, anyway.

If there was a way for Cyllene to have wide, awe-filled, sparkling eyes, now would be the moment it happened. There was such a thing as a functioning team? As trust? Every word that Remarque spoke pushed her closer and closer to the metaphorical edge and she was just about ready to jump. If Remarque was a General King of the Negaverse, she'd have asked-- no, begged-- him to corrupt her right then and there. "I had no idea," she muttered, her voice dripping with disappointment. Why had no one ever told her she was free to go whenever she pleased? Were they really trying to force her, and others, to stay on their side? Was there anything that the White Moon did right? "I guess they don't make it a habit to tell us that it's something we can do. My allies..." She paused for a moment. "I don't really know that I have any, to be honest. The nicest people I've met in the year I've been a Senshi have been Negaverse Agents and a few of you Dark Mirror Senshi. It's pretty shitty, to be honest."

Remarque watched her carefully, though seemed to relax—not that he'd ever had anything to be worried about. Even if all of this had been some great trick, he liked to think he could make it out before anything bad happened. At the very least, should things have turned really sour, he could have strung her up and bolted.
Thankfully, however, she gave him absolutely no desire to do so.
"I agree. Sounds rather disappointing. I can't imagine having absolutely no one to turn to, not when the stakes are so high. How do you manage it? What…what makes you stay with them, when they've left you so alone?"

Cyllene's forehead wrinkled, deep in thought as she processed Remarque's question. When she finally thought she had an answer, she shrugged her shoulders helplessly. "I didn't think I had any other choice. Now that I know... Maybe it's time that I leave. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. But if it's been so long and nothing has changed... What's the point, right?" She pursed her lips before they split into a grin. "Looks like I gotta go on a hunt to find someone to help me get s**t goin' if I wanna switch, huh?"

He watched her, and then nodded approvingly. "Sounds like it. But I'm sure that won't be too hard. I'm sure there's a surplus of high ranking people out there who would love to have a good chat with you."
Not that she seemed like she needed much convincing on the matter. "I guess the only thing you've got to decide is if the Dark Mirror Court or the Negaverse is more your cup of tea."
Of course, he had a preference, but there was only so much he could hope for from the White Moon Senshi. No matter what her choice was, that she was corrupting was all that really mattered.

Well s**t, now she had another choice to make- not only did she need to decide if Corruption was her path... But to add to that, she needed to decide Dark Mirror Court or Negaverse? "I guess I'll have to think about it..." She scratched at the back of her head. "I appreciate you talking to me though. And not trying to kill me! I like living," she grinned. "I'll ask around for you if I decide to join you guys!" With that, she turned on her heel and skipped back off into the darkness- completely unaware of where she was going.
