Winter was the worst time of the year, though it was willpower and the routine that kept Remarque out in the cold. Even the perks of long sleeves did little to soothe his irritation when confronted with the cold. It didn't help that he hadn't found anyone out tonight, and that was putting a severe damper on his energy gathering.
While he hadn't intended to meet up with any powered folk, when he mirrorwalked to another corner of the park, he humored the idea of following the aura of what he gathered to be a General—refrained—and then finally gave in. He first suspected it was just Benitoite, but then wondered if he could con the smaller man—or maybe just outright rob him—of that heavy coat he got to wear. Which was worth a try.
Trudging through the thin layer of crisp snow, Remarque looked only half as miserable as he felt, rubbing his hands together for warmth as he weaved off the path to locate this general as quickly as possible. If the cold wasn't driving him insane, the stillness of the night was, and he'd take whatever he could get just to heat things up a little.

Being a General meant you got noticed a lot more than you used to when you were just a captain, and Wolframite was more on alert with his power signature than feeling as ease by it, and was usually out waiting for something to shift in the nothingness. He had once been tricked by thinking there were no senshi about, and was always feeling as if he could be preyed upon. Taken. Hidden and tormented without rescue.
Some worries just never left.
When he felt a blip of Chaos moving towards him, he stopped and summoned his weapon. It was cold and quiet in the park, and he had no such luck in finding as much energy as he would have someplace else. Winter was a hard time to collect energy for their side, but he was still making his quota. He waited for the signature to come to him, awaiting a report or whatever else with the same type of guarded apprehension.

When Remarque was within sight of the general, he realized that this was not Benitoite, and his plans, therefore, had been dashed. It would have been awkward if he'd spotted the General, spun on his heels, and walked off, so he figured he was going to make the best of it.
Even if this guy did have a peculiar look about him. "Evening," he greeted when he was near enough that conversation wouldn’t have been awkward. He couldn't call himself awkward when it came to dealing with Generals, though he'd had enough bad encounters with the Negaverse that he'd have been a damn fool to have marched right up. "You look a little on edge," he said, noting the weapon. "Something got you spooked?"

The sight of a peculiar sort of uniform had him indeed on edge, but he noticed it was not a senshi of the other side. It was their side, not corrupted, but from that order he didn't particularly care for. The weapon stayed, though he relaxed his tense shoulders and stood up more erect and less battle ready.
"It's called being prepared for the worse. It comes with dealing with senshi traps." Especially invisible senshi. "I'm sure you know all about those." It had been his order that did that elaborate trap that had him captured months ago.
He desummoned his weapon as he straightened out his uniform. "Evening. I haven't met you before...officially." He didn't see this senshi when he had been captured either, but he hadn't exactly been in the best of health to be observant.

"Senshi traps?" Remarque prompted, brow raised. "I don't know what messes you've been getting yourself into, but I can't say I've ever had to deal with senshi traps." He didn't linger on the topic for long; he thought next to nothing of it. The senshi were always up to something, and while he thought those affiliated with Chaos were the only ones willing to set traps and crash parties, he figured the senshi were just as capable. Probably just not as good.
That the General had dispelled his weapon relaxed Remarque more than he was willing to let on, and he considered then to be a prime time to offer an introduction. "Remarque," he said, extending a hand. "And you are…?"

A chaos signature in a senshi outfit without a hole in it's chest. "I think your side would know. It was the Dark Moon Court that came up with it. You're from their side, aren't you?" He couldn't be sure if the gaping hole from a corruption was being hidden from him.
Moving forward, he looked at the hand, but did not take it. "General Wolframite." He informed him. "You'll have to excuse me if I don't shake your hand." He said, looking at it before looking back to the senshi. He would rip his hand off before he got too chummy with a DMCer.

Remarque very much did mind Wolframite refusing his hand, taking it as an act of rudeness. He kept callous words to himself, though just barely. Lowering his hand to his side, he affirmed, "I am from the Dark Mirror Court, yes. Though I can't claim that I've had any experience with senshi traps. Of my Court or any other." Nor could he claim to be aware of any; he was in a position that allowed him to assume he would be made aware of such a plan from his own faction. It was with great curiosity that he prompted, "You've had some?"
