It was more than safe to say that Diotima didn't learn lessons very well, or at least she was a hard learner, because she was soon out and about again. Her steps were a little more careful, but not really overly cautious. She hadn't taken her last encounter too seriously and therefore was still feigning a streak of bravery as she took her first few shaky steps out onto the street. Being brave wasn't really the way to go and she was having more than a few second thoughts about really being out and about.
She'd chosen not to come out in the dark this time though, instead picking a quiet late afternoon where the sun was setting but the sky was still colored in shades of pink and orange. The evening chill hadn't set in just yet so she didn't need to shiver yet a few goosebumps randomly lined her arms and legs. Was it nerves or was she just....cold?

Crux was aware of the auras before she saw anything, or anyone. She moved away from them. Though vague, the senshi thought she could make out two auras, both chaotic. Two versus one didn't exactly seem like a winning situation. But as Crux continued to walk away, she noticed someone else. Another senshi, one with a faint aura. She was almost tempted to ignore the girl. If she wanted to be out this late, then that was her own decision.
And then Crux remembered what Pollux had said. Run away. Don't let the Negaverse catch you. They'll take your starseed. She remembered her dream, that terrible recurring nightmare and the pain. And she remembered Polaris. Then, it had not been her problem. But now. Now could she say the same? There was this nagging feeling, some sort of premonition, that told Crux if she left the blonde senshi alone then she would die.
She grabbed the girl by the elbow, tried not to let her annoyance show.
"Hasn't anyone told you it's dangerous to walk around in the dark?"
Under her hand, Crux could feel the goosebumps on the girl's skin. From the cold? Or from fear... she didn't know.
