Oberon knew he was getting in too deep the moment he felt the wave of dark energy. Someone much stronger than he was was lurking in one of the alleyways down the dark, deserted street.
A chill ran down his spine as he wondered what had convinced him to make his way out into the city this late at night and with no one to help him. He'd been warned against it, he'd seen the damage those with power could cause. He didn't dare assume that it was only those of Chaos who knew how to kill and hurt, for he'd been warned about what the BMC had done a couple years prior.
Still, for an almost twelve-year-old to approach a fully grown Dark Mirror Senshi... he knew he was either brave or very stupid.
He was sure the senshi noticed him before he even saw him, just as he'd known of his presence before approaching. There was another man he couldn't feel though. A non-powered man, crumpled up on the ground as the blond haired senshi with the black wings seemed to lean over him. But doing what...?
"Hey!" he shouted, his voice stronger than he'd expected it to sound, standing to his full height of four foot seven inches. He'd grown in the past year from a runty four foot five to a still runty height, but at least he knew he was still growing. "What are you doing?" he demanded of the older man, trying not to shrink away from the aura of chaos that was surrounding him.

Remarque had rather not been expecting to be interrupted, so the loud 'hey' certainly disturbed him. He had two mirror wraiths dancing through the male he'd found lurking in the area. He was decently dressed, so obviously not a member of the homeless community. He was probably just some dumb teenager that had been out at a friend's house and had too much to drink.
He certainly smelled the part.
Content that the mirrorwraiths were fine on their own, Remarque stood and quirked a brow at the tiny male in front of him. "Checking for a pulse," he said rather boredly. The male had fallen and hit his head rather hard, and Remarque, much as hooligans annoyed him, wasn't going to leave him here to die.
Thankfully, he was just unconscious—and that meant his energy was ripe for the picking.
As Oberon stood to his full height, so did Remarque—and five foot, eleven was a fairly impressive height to possess when dealing with a creature of much smaller proportions. He quirked a brow when he looked down at the chibi, no longer questioning how the aura had slipped past his radar. "What are you doing?"

"What are those things?" Oberon asked cautiously, but firmly, eyeing the creatures that were circling around, and seeming to pass through the man on the ground. They didn't look very friendly, and yet this senshi guy seemed perfectly okay with them.
Although, he seemed to be confused as to why this guy was checking for a pulse... wasn't he just going to kill him and leave?
"I'm... I'm here to stop you from hurting anyone!" he insisted, feeling rather dumb about this whole thing. What in the world could he do against this guy? There was one thing he could do, though... and that was to keep those monsters away from the guy on the ground. That was what they were supposed to do, right? Those of Order were supposed to stop those of Chaos?
Picking up a piece of brick that had been knocked loose from a wall or gate, the chibi hurled it at the monsters. "You're not allowed here. Leave him alone!" he said with a frown, hoping that would be enough to get him to... you know... change his mind and leave.

Remarque could handle many things, but trying to harm his mirror wraiths definitely didn't work for him. He hadn't expected the kid to throw a rock at them, but he reacted accordingly; it was a good throw, and it probably would have hit one of the wraiths with enough force to shatter it if he hadn't kicked it away.
Of course, it hurt his ******** toe, but it was better than trying to explain to Ares why he needed another wraith. "I'm not allowed?" he prompted, forcing his tone to stay even. He withdrew the shards and drew the wraiths back in, intent on keeping them safe. They'd gotten a good portion of energy, and it wasn't worth losing all that for a few extra seconds of collection.
Tucking the shards away, his eyes narrowed a bit as he examined the chibi. "I'm allowed to be wherever I want, little boy. There's not really anything you could do about that. But, pray tell, just what do you think you could possibly do to get me to leave? You don't seriously think you could chase me out of here." He paused, and supplied a very judgmental look as he sized Oberon up. "Do you?"

"No, you're not allowed to hurt people, or take their energy. Is that what you're doing?" he guessed, not entirely sure, but he'd been told enough about these people to sort of pick up what was going on. He was eleven, not two.
Oberon frowned as he was asked what he could do, although making an offended noise upon being called little. "Hey! You can't tell me what I can and can't do!" he said, not caring that he was being hypocritical at the moment. Yeah, so... there was a huge difference in what he wanted to do and what this other guy was doing! At least he wasn't going around, sucking out people's energy and doing who knows what else.
He also wasn't going around calling people "little boys" and other offensive things.
But there was something Oberon could do, and that was use his magic! Without another thought, he darted forward and lept into the air, just high enough to be able to jump over the older senshi's shoulder and give him a quick tap on the head, almost like a tag. "Adventure is out there!" Oberon shouted as he touched him, feeling the magic transfer in an instant.

Remarque was not really someone you said no to. As far as he was concerned, if he wanted to do something, he was going to do it. What morality he had prevented him from doing anything too, drastic.
Needless to say, Oberon's attack was probably not the best thing to present Remarque with. As the magic coursed through him, he zoned out for a moment—and then shook his head to locate the chibi senshi. When he found the boy, he looked down at him thoughtfully.
That annoying little chibi senshi. He was a kid, but—you know what? So what? He was still an order senshi, and Ares didn't even want kids, anyway. And hadn't Lenka taught him that all chibi senshi were just obnoxious little brats? The kid needed to go home—really.
Wait—home? Oh, no, no, no. There was a much better place for him.
Remarque typically didn't bother to throw people into Mirrorspace—often because he reasoned that if too many people disappeared, someone would go looking for them. Too many people that mattered, at least. Homeless people he had no issue dropping into Mirrorspace. Everyone else, he talked himself out of it.
Except, suddenly, there wasn’t that little voice in his head to tell him no.
"Kid, if you're looking for adventure, I've got just the place for you. Just hold still," he demanded, reaching down to grab Oberon by the front of his shirt. And—hell, while he was at it, why not just—
He lifted the man he'd been draining, throwing him over his shoulder even as he hefted Oberon into the air. The mirror he'd come through was a bit away, but he didn't mind. It'd be a short walk for a good cause.

Whatever Oberon had expected from using his attack, it certainly wasn't this. When he'd used it before, it had resulted in a comical show of enthusiasm towards fighting youma, but now...? This wasn't what he wanted... not at all!
"H-hey, put me down!" he yelped as he was suddenly hoisted into the air by the older senshi, struggling as best he could against him. He grabbed onto the senshi's wrist and flailed out his legs trying to kick at him to get him to let go, but nothing seemed to work. "Come on!! You shouldn't pick on kids! I'll sue you for physical assault!"
He couldn't figure out why he would need the unconscious man as well, but for the senshi to be able to lift them both... well, he supposed they all had extra strength, but it was still kind of freaky to see it, still.
Starting to panic a bit now, Oberon continued to flail, trying to claw at the man's arm through the white gloves he wore, but even that wasn't enough to cause any damage. He was suddenly feeling very vulnerable and weak, despite being a senshi.

“HEY!”
There was a lot of ‘hey’ing going around, apparently.
Ganymede came to a stop some yards away, not quite stupid enough to go charging right in but still anxious to get to his chibi friend. When one was out for a night of solitary patrol, it was typically expected that one would come across a power signature of some sort—perhaps a fellow senshi, or a knight, or a youma, or a Negaverse officer, or one of those mirror senshi—but what Ganymede never expected to feel was the familiar, weaker energy of a low-level chibi close to the energy of a fully powered agent of chaos.
Because that, honestly, was insane.
Insane!
He sprinted to the area as fast as he could, with not a clue that the chibi in question was actually Oberon until he got close enough to hear the sound of his voice and glimpse parts of his uniform—though it really shouldn’t have been so surprising, what with the amount of trouble Oberon liked to get himself into; he could never seem to listen when Ganymede told him not to go out on his own. By that point, the Dark Mirror senshi was in full view as well, and Ganymede’s stomach plummeted to see the other senshi with both Oberon and a civilian in his grasp.
That was when he started yelling.
“Let go of him!” he demanded. He didn’t exactly specify who ‘him’ was supposed to be, but he thought it was fairly obvious that he was talking about Oberon.

It was with relative disinterest that Remarque eyed the new eternal senshi that had drifted into his line of vision. Realistically, he should have put the chibi down, explained the situation, and made an attempt to sweet talk the senshi that could actually be of use to him into the Dark Mirror Court.
Strangely, that wasn't what he did at all.
Any idea that he might want to make a good impression flew out the window. He didn't care about making a good impression, or about trying to convert Ganymede. He cared about pissing him off. He cared about picking a fight.
Remarque paused mid step and glanced from Oberon to Ganymede, challenging "You want him?"
He didn't wait for the eternal to answer. Without any inhibition, it was without a care that he gripped the front of Oberon's outfit tighter, took a step forward, and hurled the chibi as hard as he could at the blonde.

The chibi senshi wiggled and struggled and did his best to try and be set down from the DMS's grip, but nothing seemed to be working!
Finally when he heard a familiar voice his heart soared! ... and then stop completely, because he knew Ganymede would probably kick his a** for being out so late on his own in the first place.
"I-I'm fine!" he called over his shoulder, continuing to struggle, his face turning red with exertion. "Just... talking," he explained, not thinking he was doing a very good job of keeping the panic out of his voice. Of course, it didn't take long for the senshi to change his mind about hanging on to him and Oberon was suddenly in the air! Only to fly right into his savior, knocking them both to the ground.
How many times had it been that Ganymede had saved him in a similar fashion?
"S-sorry," he groaned, quickly pushing himself off the eternal senshi and struggling to his feet.

Ganymede had just enough time to react with widened eyes and another disbelieving “HEY” before Oberon crashed right into him and they both took a messy tumble to the ground.
He coughed as Oberon pulled himself off, finding his lungs momentarily incapable of breath, at least until he’d cleared his airways and forced himself to inhale again, at which point things began to function a bit more normally. He wheezed for a few moments longer, slowly working his way back up into a seated position, his eyes catching sight of the dark mirror senshi, before flicking over to Oberon to check him for any sign of injury or distress.
“Idiot,” he muttered, stumbling up to his feet and rubbing the rather large sore spot on his chest where Oberon had landed. “Ow, that’s going to bruise. Son of a b***h.”
The Eternal senshi rolled his shoulders and shifted his legs to check for any other sources of pain or discomfort, but was pleased to discover nothing that overly-concerned him—just his chest and a bit of stinging at his back that he suspected stemmed from a few scrapes. He returned his attention to the senshi in black now that he had Oberon safely at his side, noting the unconscious civilian the other Eternal had yet to release.
“What the hell is your problem?” he asked, “Messing with a kid. You’ve got some serious issues. For a while there I thought some of you people might actually have a bit of compassion, but I see they must have forced all of that out of you with the rest of your sanity.”

Common sense seemed to have returned to Remarque, somewhere between hurling Oberon and watching the two tumble to the ground. He wasn't entirely sure where his urge had come from, or why he had been so inclined to act upon it, but he certainly wasn't one to chastise himself.
No regrets, right?
That little runt had done something, tapped him on the head. He hadn't felt anything, no pain, no delusions. Probably must have been some fluke. Figuring he'd simply had too much coffee, Remarque was quick to dismiss any doubts in his actions.
"I'd like to point out," Remarque said, figuring this might be a situation he wasn't going to easily talk himself out of, "If I'd been deprived of compassion, I'd have snapped his neck. Anyway, he's fine, thanks to you."
Ganymede had made for a fine enough cushion, he figured.
He glanced at the unconscious male over his shoulder, clucked his tongue, and directed his gaze back to the two senshi. "I'd warrant this was all some nasty misunderstanding. You might want to keep that little friend of yours in check before he gets himself in trouble. Probably wasn't very wise of him to run up and attack me. Aren't you teaching him any manners, or are you just letting him run around like that?"

"Sorry!" Oberon whined when Ganymede got to his feet, glancing at him in concern before crossing his arms over his chest in a pout. Hey! He was trying to help out, not get in trouble!
"You were doing something weird to that guy! You had creepy floaty things out, like dementors!" he shouted, totally offended that this guy would talk to Ganymede over him, as if Ganymede was totally responsible for what he did. "He's not my mom, dumbass! He doesn't get to tell me what to do! Besides, I can make my own decisions, and I decided to stop you from hurting that guy!"
He'd totally been saving a civilian's life. Or something.
"And I didn't attack you! I just tagged you. There's a difference. You're not hurt, are you? What the hell do you think I can do to you, anyway? Bite your ankles? I didn't, did I? So eff off."
No, his mother would not be happy with him using that kind of language and would probably bust into tears if she ever knew he'd been saying such things, but he was almost twelve! He was totally allowed to curse if he wanted!

“Right. Sure. Just a misunderstanding,” Ganymede mumbled sarcastically, meeting Remarque with a rather exaggerated eye-roll. “Because there obviously has to be another explanation for why you’ve got an unconscious guy over your shoulder and why you decided to throw a chibi missile at me that has absolutely nothing to do with being a world class creepazoid. Or insane. You’re free to take your pick.”
Personally, he was going to go with “insane.” No one in their right mind would believe some of the s**t those on the side of chaos came up with to explain away their actions. Anyone who did either had to be extremely gullible, exceedingly stupid, or just crazy from the get go.
Grabbing onto Oberon’s shoulder, Ganymede attempted to restrain him in case the smaller senshi should feel the need to jump in and cause even more trouble again. He did, however, spare an understanding glance at Oberon when he mentioned “dementors,” as he had a pretty good idea he knew what the kid meant by it. He’d seen the very same things before, the last time he’d confronted one of these people—the only time, admittedly, but no one there at that moment needed to know that.
Seeing none of these “dementors” in the vicinity, he focused his attention back on… well, whatever this guy’s name was.
“Maybe you’d like to prove you’re not all talk,” Ganymede suggested, his brow raised in welcoming expectation. “Why don’t you set that guy down, too? Gently,” he made sure to clarify, “or else you can see what it feels like to burn.”

"Burn?" Remarque prompted, amused smirk drifting on his lips. Admittedly, it was cute, he figured. That someone would dream to threaten him. Eternal senshi or not, the male in front of him didn't look very intimidating. "Well now. I don't see any reason for further hostilities. Your little friend," he gestured to Oberon, "You might want to keep him on a leash. And was his mouth out with soap. Mother or not. You know, he ran up to me, and assaulted me? And I just couldn’t help myself, I had the strangest desire to just pick him up and throw him. Apologies," he added, tone rather slick. "I don't make a habit of throwing children around. Not unless they strike me first. You want him?"
Remarque nodded to the man slung over his shoulder. "You can have him. Here, come get him. I was on my way out when you're little friend decided to attack."
Shrugging the male into his arms, he proceeded to walk towards the two at a rather casual pace. A part of him was tempted to deny Ganymede's request and just run through the mirror; another part wanted to tempt them into battle.
Of course, the majority part of him deemed to save enough face as possible, and he'd blame Oberon as much as he could for the violence. It was, after all, his fault. Somehow.
"You two have names, I take it? I'll exchange him," he lifted the male just slightly for emphasis as he approached, "For them."
