Sailor Orpheus was standing there in the middle of the sidewalk simply staring at a mirror in front of him. It was one of the wing mirrors on a car and he couldn't move, he couldn't stop staring. He wasn't asking who was the fairest of them all was but instead he was asking who was there. Every time he seen a mirror, he felt like he was being watched. He always felt like he wasn't safe, and that if he turned away from one for even a minute someone would grab him from behind and pull him in.
He wouldn't give it a chance.
He broke it, and even then the pieces of it stared at him from the ground.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" He yelled, kicking the shards under the car.

The night was relatively peaceful—up until a shout pierced the air. While Jett typically made his rounds while powered up, he had decided to try a different plan tonight. Being an eternal senshi meant he gave off a huge energy signature—which was entirely useless when you were snooping around town. So, civilian it was—until trouble seemed to be picking up. He had been oblivious to anyone in the area, so to find a Dark Mirror Senshi as the source of noise surprised him.
He recognized Orpheus, though he did not recognize whatever threat had the male so riled up. Jett skimmed the area immediately, looking for whoever—whatever—was causing the male such distress (he suspected a mirrorwraith, though there was no evidence of such—unless that's what the male was stepping on?).
When he couldn't put his finger on anything, he powered up in the shadows of the nearby trees he'd been spying in, brushed himself off, and started walking towards the senshi. Remarque could only hope that closing the distance would solve the mystery of Orpheus' agitation.
"What's the matter, having a bad hair day?" he inquired as he approached; he had not seen the male in ages, though that didn't mean that he had any issue with approaching him. They were both Dark Mirror Senshi after all—what was the harm?

What was the harm? Before he heard Remarque's words he felt his aura and that alone caused the dark mirror senshi to freeze, his very skin crawling from being anywhere near him. It had been so long since he had seen a dark mirror senshi that his hopes of them being gone was almost a reality but with that aura and that voice everything shattered like the mirror below him.
Silence was all he had in return for Remarque's attempt to joke about his hair while slowly he regained his composure, shifting from horrified to serious to finally landing on hopeless. He clearly had a calculative error here, bringing a dark mirror senshi to him instead of keeping them away.
"Didn't you hear me? I said LEAVE ME ALONE!" He said, picking up the remainder of the mirror shards from the wing mirror casing and throwin them at Remarque.

Remarque certainly didn't seem frightened by the glass; Orpheus' aim was good enough, though the shards did little damage to the eternal senshi. A few made contact, though none were so fortunate as to manage even so much as scratch. He seemed surprised, for the briefest of seconds, and then absolutely unamused. It seemed to be with great boredom that Remarque watched as the glass fell, clattering to the sidewalk at his feet.
He was silent for a few seconds before looking back up at the senshi. "I'm sorry," he said, voice a bit clipped. "I think you might be interested in elaborating. I'm not sure what the situation is here. I haven't seen you in—how long? I think the proper response might have been, 'Oh, hello, Remarque. It's been a while. You're certainly looking marvelous, do tell'. That was rather rude, you know. Just throwing glass at someone. Did your mother not teach you any manners?"

Sailor Orpheus certainly didn't seem to care that he was being rude because as far as he was concerned Remarque's whole existence just pissed him off. Certainly a lot of the rage was dedicated to his own situation but any outlet worked for him. He hadn't wanted to fight, simply that he wanted Remarque to leave, but then that b*****d went and brought his mother into this. His kindhearted, a bit naive mother who didn't even recognize his face anymore thanks to the dark mirror system.
"Don't you dare bring my mother into this you a*****e!" He yelled rather unpleasantly as he moved punch Remarque's marvelous face.

Remarque had a skill when it came to saying things to piss people off, though this time he'd hardly even tried. A little playful teasing was one thing, but he hadn't expected Orpheus—even after that display—to try and attack him.
He still wasn't sure what to make of Orpheus when the male's fist was hurling towards him, though being an eternal senshi had its advantages; he sidestepped the male to avoid taking a hit though made no effort to return one of his own. "You're a bit sensitive," he said tersely, seeming a bit more riled up now. "—Seriously, is there something wrong with you? You're attacking me?"
The idea of bath salts briefly entered his mind; he wondered if Orpheus might have gotten into a bit earlier in the evening.

Remarque might have been a bit more sensitive on the matter if he knew more about Orpheus' issue but that was not something he was about to cry out to the world, not yet at least. He was not angry enough, or depressed enough, to elaborate quite yet on his anger. Right now, simply attacking things would work. However, the power differences between them just stacked Remarque's odds.
He didn't like it.
Actually, it just pissed him off even more because he knew he wasn't a bad fighter. ******** magical boosters. It didn't stop him from swiping his foot down in hopes of at least knocking Remarque off his feet.
"No, I'm attacking the telephone pole you dumb ********. Get off your high horse, or perhaps you'd like to bend over so I can kiss your a**."

Remarque could humor the idea of the Dark Mirror Court as a family—up to a point.
The foot swipe, the insult was as much as he could take. Legs would forever be his weakness, but he was grounded well enough that all the kick did was hurt. Hurt, and piss him off.
His lip twisted into a sneer and his hand curled into a fist. "Watch your tongue, I'd hate for someone to hurt that pretty little face of yours because you weren't smart enough to quit while you still had a chance to make it out of this with any dignity. I don't want to hurt you, Orpheus. You've just made it inevitable, though."
He was confident enough—cocky enough—to think that he could beat this guy even without the benefits that came with rank, but he was too annoyed to consider giving such a go. He had the strength; he was going to make damn well sure he used it. It was with little restraint that he lunged forward, fist swinging at the senshi in front of him.

Orpheus didn't see Remarque as even remotely part of a family but instead part of an occult that stole his family away from him. He deserved to be in as much pain as Orpheus could possibly force upon him and then some but Orpheus knew even then Remarque would never know the pain of losing his entire family in a night.
"If my face is so pretty why don't you come over here and kiss it you queer," he snapped back before his tongue simply kept going. "I am smart enough to quit but I'm afraid I lost all my dignity when Ares threw me through that mirror and stole my life," he said before he stuck out his tongue so he could watch it, and Remarque too. Then, just like a snake, it slipped back in as Remarque attacked.
His first motion was the block the fist with his open palms but due to the strength bonus Remarque received Orpheus felt his footing slipping from the force. He wouldn't stop though, ducking down and going for Remarque's legs again. He wanted to step on Remarque like Ares had stepped on his life, taking away some of that pride Remarque seemed to have so much of.

To say that Remarque tolerated insults poorly was a vast understatement; he had endured some harshness in his time, however never had he been spoken to by someone who, for all intensive purposes, should have been an ally.
"So what—you're going to cry and b***h and sulk about it?" Remarque snapped. "Ares isn't even around, why the hell are you trying to take out your little pissant problems on me? If you want to throw a b***h fit, you picked the wrong person to whine to!"
Orpheus going for his legs was a damned nuisance and while Remarque hadn't necessarily put a lot of effort into hiding his weakness, he hadn't expected it to be so obvious. Which meant he couldn't really afford to play nice.
Orpheus had chosen his target, so Remarque picked his; Remarque was willing to sacrifice his footing if it meant he could rattle this guy's brain. He drew his arm back and aimed a punch towards the Orpheus' jaw, intent to end this before it got too out of hand.

Orpheus was about to say something back to Remarque that would definitely get him more than a punch in the face but that's when Remarque said something about Ares not even being around. His mouth opened to say something and then Remarque's fist hit him like a bag of bricks.
He fell back, sliding across the concrete. He yelped, rubbing his jaw as he winced. A small bit of reality fell back to him as he realized his position, shifting uneasily under Remarque's gaze. He didn't want to be here, he shouldn't be here. He had been doing so good to avoid all this and now he practically went out and looked for it.
He spat, blood hitting the ground with it.
"Whatever," he shifted, crawling back to his feet. His world was spinning a bit though, and he cursed Remarque's name as he wobbled. He was going to feel this tomorrow.

Orpheus withdrawing a bit meant Remarque could lay off the attacks; he watched the male warily, suspecting another attack. He forced himself to his feet, taking a casually defensive stance. He wanted to hold his ground without looking like he was aching to slug this guy just one more time.
"Whatever? That's all you have to say?" he asked, forcing his breath to stay as even as possible—which wasn't entirely easy given that Orpheus had just given him a run for his money. "No, 'Hey, sorry for flipping s**t, sorry, insert explanation' for me?"

Apologize? Orpheus' expression was covered in contempt when it turned to face Remarque after he made that comment. He had been considering simply leaving after all this but Remarque made his blood boil, causing the senshi to reconsider it. He wasn't ready to attack again so soon after the blow to the head but he wanted to. Tingling coursed through his fingertips, his fist clenching together and tightening.
"Oh la la, I'm Remarque and I'm a big baby!" He mocked, his closed fists opening to simple palms that he waved around.

Remarque's lip curled into a sneer again. "Oh. Sorry, Orpheus, I must have hit you a little too hard. You're babbling like an idiot. Would you like me to drop you off at the hospital now, or do you really want to press your luck for round two? Because I'm willing to let this slide and say you've just been under a hell of a lot of stress, but if this keeps going on, I don't know if I'm going to have excuse enough to stop myself from smashing your face into the side walk. Get it?"
Remarque made threats. A lot of which he never had to carry through, but none of which were ever necessarily empty.
Right now, he couldn’t think of anyone's face who would look better ground into the sidewalk.

Orpheus' fists curled tightly before releasing to grab the ends of his fuku with anger. He wasn't going to play into Remarque's tempting words no matter how much he wanted to. He did his best to laugh at Remarque, swaying his body back and forth as his eyes fell on him firmly.
"Yeah, I get it. Your magic makes this an unfair fight." He announced flatly, turning to leave.
"We can do this seriously when you aren't cheating, man to man."
His voice lingered in the air, or perhaps simply Orpheus' head as he then walked away, not looking back out of fear or simply a need to avoid temptation. Was he all talk? Perhaps right now more so than not but he was serious. If Remarque wanted to power down and face him man to man instead of senshi to senshi then he was game. He wasn't going to play with the master of puppets on a battlefield that was clearly biased. He might have been more willing when it started but ******** was his head ever ringing.
