This was definitely a first for Pharos and she had to say it beat trees. She sat on the rooftop of her some random building, far enough away from the city light not to be blinding but close enough for them to be so pretty. Of course at midnight it was no where near as lit up as an hour ago, but Pharos didn't mind.
She looked up to the sky, only spotting a few stars where she was and missing her home momentarily. On the farm, she could see stars for just miles, or so she like to tell her self. She tried count them once and ended up falling asleep under them. She lay back on the rooftop happy for the moment, basking in the quiet evening.
The little page had been so busy as of late running into monster, after monster, and figuring out new and creative ways to best them without her useless weapon. She hoped when she was a knight it would be less so because while she was fiesty it hadn't gone beyond her noticed that most of the other 'warriors' were bigger than her.
She pulled out the cloth flower holding it out above her head and puzzling over just what exactly made it special.

There was always a time to try something new, as Remarque had been reminded by a certain General-King. Ignoring the meeting altogether, the scenery alone was enough to make Remarque drift away from his typical route—and so he had.
Remarque had always been a fan of looking for energy on the ground, however being on the top of an arguably too-tall building had changed his perspectives. He was not the sort of fellow that could really understand or appreciate art, so he'd never looked for beauty sans when it came to women. The sky lit up at night, however, was an exception. Be it city lights or stars, it was a fascination Remarque had somehow become very interested in.
He might have blamed it on the Surrounding—on being somewhere where all you could see and enjoy were the stars around you. It had been a little over a year now, since he'd first been whisked away from in front of his bathroom mirror, and he was a firm believer that nostalgia stemmed from that—and all the reminders. Particularly in the field of reuniting with old acquaintances.
For as much as Remarque enjoyed his low elevation searching, he had decided that, for perhaps tonight only, he would consider rooftop gallivanting.
The moment an order aligned signature blipped onto his radar, he knew he'd made the right choice. He'd chosen this area, a bit away from town, on the off chance that during one of his leaps, he missed. The last thing he'd want after a fall was for someone to see him, though it had been 'so far, so good,' for now, and it took him absolute no time to stash such concerns and make his way to the signature.
It didn't take long to near himself to her. She wasn't radiating a particularly strong aura, so he didn't feel the need to worry. Not that he ever really worried. That was for people who didn't think they could defend themselves.
He was still a building away when she came into sight, though as appearances were everything, he composed himself from even at that distance. Her eyes were on something tiny—something she seemed to be examining. He couldn’t make out what it was anymore than he could keep his mouth closed for long enough to figure it out. "Seems a little to dark to be looking so intently at anything other than the sky. What's caught your attention so fiercely over there, hm?"

Pharos hadn't really paid attention to the other approaching her, she could feel them yes, but as she examined her weapon she hadn't felt the need to actually move. Whatever it was she would deal with it as best she could.
Pharos looked away from her weapon, up at the boy standing above her and shrugged, "weapon," she said simply before tucking it into her shirt and looking back to the stars.
"I was looking at them before, but its not the same here, the lights from the city make them less. Though the lights from the city are pretty themselves."
She gave he a questioning glance, but remained lain across the roof. He was cursing her existence like the last one and she currently didn't feel like she was in any danger. "What about you? Come out to enjoy the star or maybe the view of the city? Or something else?"
She was wary of him, only a little, he was clearly stronger her than her, she could feel it. She been a page for almost a year herself, but unlike a lot of the other's she hadn't had many encounters with other good or bad. She'd spent the whole summer on her farm with her mother and before she hadn't patrolled much when she had patrolled it had been with a partner. So she was never really sure what exactly to expect.

"I'm out," Remarque answered simply, as if that were explanation enough. But he wasn't one to leave a lady waiting; he elaborated, "I'm not up to anything nefarious, if that's what you're implying. I was just taking a walk, enjoying the sights. Felt you up here, figured a little conversation wouldn't be the end of the world. You knight-sorts have proven to be rather interesting to me of late. You can't blame me for being curious," he said—still seeming rather conversational.
It wasn't as refreshing or satisfying as speaking with a senshi, but Remarque figured you couldn't get what you wanted all the time. But, just as the most unsavory of characters, there was always something to learn. "What about you?" he prompted casually, glancing away from the page so that he could admire the skyline.
"Are you taking a break or is this something you do fairly frequently?"

She nodded when he said he wasn't up to anything. Really that was the main information she was after and so now she was more at ease. She sat up and gave him a questioning glance at him statement. She didn't really see what was so interesting about them. Senshi were certainly more interesting with all the magical costumes and all the colors, granted she was most certainly colorfully, but not varied from all the other knight of chronos, different but not too much so.
"Glad to know some of you don't totally hate us, curosity is okay. That moth girl, taunted and attacked me and I'm still not totally sure why."
Pharos stood, in all her 4'11" glory, and smiled. She was a pretty happy go lucky go with the flow kind of girl and in the absence of danger she remained as such.
"I was just taking a break. It's been a quite night and I like the stars, the city light too," she stuck out her little hand to Remarque, "I'm Pharos of Chronos. Who are you?"

Remarque could not help but quirk a brow at 'that moth girl,' as there was really only one that he could think of. He supposed Raven was well within her rights if she'd wanted to attack any knight—particularly one of Chronos. Of all the knights, it was them that he held a very particular grudge against—one that should have faded long ago, but had never quite reached the threshold of forgiveness.
Remarque did not, after all, forgive easily—if ever.
Still, he played along for the moment and extended a hand. "Eternal Sailor Remarque, Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry," he introduced. There was pride in his title, but then again. Remarque took pride in everything he did—and certainly in everything he was.
Taking the girl's hand, he offered a firm squeeze, and he'd have been lying if he hadn't wondered how easily it would have been to try and swing her off the roof while her defenses were so lowered.
"I haven't seen a Page of Chronos in a while. I was wondering if your like had been wiped out. Where have you all been hiding, back up on the Surrounding?"

Pharos noted the pride in Remarque's tone, she could hear it clearly. It seemed something he said was worth being proud of, although Pharos wasn't exactly sure what part of the statement that was. She nodded with a smile as she shook his hand. No thoughts of violence entered the little page's head unlike the senshi that stood before her. She hadn't be provoked or attacked so she didn't really see a reason to fight.
She shook her head quickly in the negative at his next question. "Wiped out? ... That's an awful thing to say. No we've not been wiped out and no we've not been hiding either. Knight's do not hide. We patrol just like you do. I guess you just weren't lucky enough to run across one till now."
Pharos voice was a bit louder than necessary as she tried to get her point across, she sound more determined than affronted.
"I never met a dark senshi before last week, but I did not assume them to be wiped out or hiding."

Remarque found himself to be rather lucky, so his perspective was a bit skewed when it came to rest on who, exactly, was the lucky one. He would have loved to argue, though instead offered a near saccharine smile. "No? We do prefer to occupy ourselves with senshi, so take no offense if you hadn't had the privilege yet. In fact, I'd count yourself lucky. A fair share of the Dark Mirror Court has a vendetta against knights. For very fair reasons, however, I assure you. Your kind has made enemies of us. For the most part. But I suppose that's what happen when you target one us and attack without mercy."
He was willing to engage in conversation, not out of sympathy or a desire to understand things from his enemy's perspective, but to know what they knew. It was a tedious effort; he mostly didn't care for any of the words that came out of their mouth, but on the off chance that one of them had something useful, he made the effort.

Pharos was becoming annoyed and confused. As far as she could see the dark senshi really didn't have a good reason to have a personal vendetta against knights. Was it all because of the surrounding thing, because if it was, she thought it was a terrible basis. She still wasn't entirely to certain who exactly was to blame. She really didn't want to think about it.
"I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. Who is targeting who and attacking without mercy. I have heard nothing of the sort. It sounds like excuses without real proof. I can understand why I need take out youma, since they regularly try to kill me. I can understand defending myself against attack and protecting civilians, but I'm not going hate someone or seek them out to hurt them just because the surrounding was a bad expression. And for most everyone at that."
Pharos sighed and shook her head, "sometimes this who war is very confusing. I wish there was some type of history book for it all or something." She frowned slightly but thought she might be on to something. Maybe if she looked around the surrounding she might find something that could help her and well everyone. She just hoped she would actually be able to read it.

Remarque couldn't help but scoff. Excuses without any real proof? Oh, please.
"A history book would be insightful, provided the authors were not of any particular bias," he shrugged. Of course, that was near impossible—what historical figure could write without bias? And who was there to validate any history book? It's not like there were people who could point out and correct mistakes.
He looked at Pharos, as if analyzing her after she'd spoken. "You seem, perhaps, a bit ignorant—if you'll pardon the word—of the apparent disagreements between knights and certain members of the Dark Mirror Court. Perhaps that is for the best, though. If what you speak is true, of course. You really don't have a vendetta against our court?"
He shifted positions to make himself a bit more comfortable. "I suppose that would make you a rarity. There are far too many who would jump at the chance to crush our numbers while they are so small. Tell me, the Surrounding was 'a bad expression'. What is your take on the Dark Mirror Court? On Ares?"
If she didn’t see them as immediately evil, on par with the youma, then he wanted to know what she did think. Because of Leto's and Navi's interactions with the knights, he'd assumed that there was always going to be some terrible blood fued. Not that he cared; as long as no knight hurt a member of the Court too badly, a little rough housing was fair game. He'd interfere when he had to, but to do so before then would just be a waste. The Knights had been around for longer than the Court—they had more knowledge and more resources, and if given the chance, Remarque wanted to pick up on as much of that as possible.

"I doubt there are many, if any, unbias authors, but I would like to think there are. Still there are no history book and with war you know each side has a different story anyway." It had been a really nice thought and while Pharos was optimistic, and a dreamer that didn't make her totally unrealisitc."
Pharos frowned for a moment at being called ignorant, but what Remarque said may have been true and it had led as he was suggesting to her not really having any vendetta against the dark mirror court. "No I haven't got a vendetta. I guess what they say is true ignorance is bliss, though still certain members isn't your whole court right?"
Pharos smiled at the rarity comment even though she wasn't to certain it was a good thing for her, then blinked at the word expression. She'd been rambling and hadn't realized she'd said expression. "I'm sorry, did I really say expression, I meant experience, was rambling slightly, sorry. As for the dark mirror court and ares I'm not sure what you want me to say. I haven't met very many of you save a year ago and from what I'm told, the only opinion I can form right now is that a bunch of you seem very angry and that maybe that anger is um whats the word ... misguided. You seem decent enough though. I guess I can say only time will tell."
Pharos was probably more confused if possible, she felt maybe she needed to seek out more interactions with the dark mirror court, but at the same time, she also felt it wouldn't lead to a good opinion judging by her conversation with Remarque.

Remarque seemed to ponder her words for a moment and then shrugged. "Very nice of you to say that, Pharos. I like someone capable of actually using their brain and not just letting themselves be herded like sheep. You'd be surprised with how many knights I've met that had never met another Dark Mirror Senshi but attacked anyway. I appreciate anyone who is capable of using rational thought, then. Perhaps you are not ignorant so much as wise, hmm?" he offered, figuring a bit of flattery never killed anyone.
He nodded, still just admiring the lights in the distance. "Perhaps our anger is misguided," he was willing to admit, even if he thought the complete opposite. He considered them the rational force in this war—more rational than knights, senshi or the Negaverse. They had a goal, and they were fighting for it. They weren't struggling in the darkness, looking for a reason to exist, or waiting around for some lost princess to return.
"But at the end of the day, we just want what's best for everyone. Fighting, while it is quite the rush, it is unnecessary." Says the man who once thrived in the boxing ring. "Some of us are a bit more overzealous than others, but I'd consider our numbers to be a rational, well intentioned bunch. We don't aim for trouble, it just finds us. Though, ideally it would be quite pleasant if that could stop. The rest of the knights ought to learn a lesson from you."

Pharos smiled at Remarque. She'd been wary of him before, but now not as much. She was glad to have this conversation, to get more of a view point straight from the mouth of the lion's den so to speak. "Wise in some things. It will be a while yet before I am truly wise, but thank you."
She looked at him curiosity a light in her eyes as he seemed to agree with her and she found herself nodding. Much of the fighting in war, in all the history books, seemed like a ton of unnecessary bloodshed and lost lives. She gave a small laugh at the overzealous comment and nodded her agreement to that.
"If only it were that simple. I'm sure one day though, everything will work out. Wars are fought for a reason right and as awful as they are they can bring about major change. We all just wished there was less fighting."
Pharos yawned slightly, the night catching up to her. She needed to head home and get some sleep. It was obvious to her that she'd not be doing any more patrolling this knight.

As Remarque was always so watchful in conversation, it was particularly difficult to miss the yawn. He had assumed he wasn't boring Pharos, though as the night inched on, even he could admit that fatigue was slowly creeping in. The fighting was not something he ever really minded, particularly because one of his favorite hobbies relied on having someone to fight with, though in this war? Things were different. The risks were higher—and the rewards greater, but Remarque understood how important patience was. If he'd attacked every senshi and knight who had ever rubbed him the wrong way, he wouldn't have had a single one still civil to him.
However, already his patience and drive for conversation had paid out, and that alone was enough to encourage his persistence. "One day," he agreed with a slight nod. His idea of things working out was, of course, probably quite different from the page's, though he had full faith that in due time all things be in favor of the Dark Mirror Court. "But, I suppose that day might yet be too distant. Either way, I don't mean to keep you. You look a little tired. I appreciate you taking the time to share words with me, Pharos. It has been a pleasure." He threw in a smile for good measure. "Have yourself a good evening. Perhaps I'll see you around some time? I would be most interested in continuing this conversation—perhaps when the evening hasn't dragged on so late already."

Pharos yawned again nodding at his echo'd one day. She really hoped everything would work out, but unlike Remarque hadn't really a clue on how they should work out. She wasn't entirely sure what everyone was fighting for and it seemed there were a lot of different reasons for fighting in this war.
She stood when he said he hadn't meant to keep her and smile shaking her head, "It's okay. I didn't mind at all. It's been a pleasure talking to you too and I hope you have a good evening as well."
She turned on the rooftop, stepping up onto the ledge, "Until next time Remarque, maybe then you can tell me more about your side and this war. Goodnight."
She jumped off the ledge down to the ground and headed off walking between a few building and out of sight.
