It hadn't been Remarque's intention to wind up in the park this evening. He'd planned on weaving through dark alleys, picking on some of his favorite targets. As a result, his pockets were quite a bit move full than they had been when he'd first started, and he'd gone and dumped two in Mirrorspace. Sometimes he had a mark of sympathy—and didn't drop off people to be turned into energy taps.
Sometimes he enjoyed it.
There were people that he assumed didn't deserve to be stuck in Mirrorspace until they were nearly drained dry—but the b*****d he had been chasing for several blocks? Yeah, he was going.
Remarque had stumbled across the fellow almost on accident; he'd turned a corner just in time to come face to face with a crowbar-wielding lunatic. Thankfully whatever the male had been imbibing in kept him from landing a great blow on Remarque, but he'd gotten a good one in, and Remarque knew he was going to be stiff in the morning. At first he'd worried that the moron had cracked a rib before he dropped the crowbar and taken off, but after a quick assessment and some unpleasant prodding, Remarque ******** it—he was taking a chance.
Thankfully he hadn't suffered any massive injury (unless he had attained some internal injury and was now slowly bleeding out) and had extracted a fantastic sort of revenge. He might have roughed him up a bit more than necessary before scooping him and discarding him into Mirrorspace—but it wasn't until he was wiping his hands off on his pants and catching his breath that he even noticed another chaos signature in the area. And Dark Mirror?
…Well, maybe there was some good to come out of this, after all.
He meandered towards the signature, massaging his side tenderly as though such would help ebb the pain. He had mostly caught his breath by the time he came into the presence of the girl he presumed had been emitting the signature. He'd suspected it might be Mjolnir—or that Chariklo girl, or Mimistrobell or Virtus. What he found was a completely different senshi all together.
Which was an absolutely lovely twist considering how he figured the rest of his night was going to go. "Well, well," he said when he approached, "What have we here?"

The transition from becoming just a somewhat quirky high school student to living a double life of student and Senshi had been a fairly easy transition for Toutatis. She was fairly adaptable when it came to large changes in her life and this most certainly was a large change. Most nights when she had the gumption too she spent patrolling various areas. Having not yet found an area that she preferred and quit possibly never would. Going through the same place night after night would get boring and honestly she liked the ability to change things up every now and again. Tonight though she had taken to going through the park once more. Most of her limited, yet more interesting interactions with others seemed to orbit around this area. Perhaps it was just heavily patrolled by both Order and Chaos. She hadn't run into many Order sided individuals yet. And thanked whoever for not running into one with those white wings. Getting her a** handed to her right off the bat was not something she would have liked. She had been kneeling over her first victim of the night, watching her mirror wraith go to town. Toutatis had grown kind of fond of the little bugger. It was kind of like a pet. Perhaps a dog. A ravenous, energy sucking dog. She had noted the fairly large energy signature coming towards her, though she didn't really pay it too much mind as it felt like Chaos. Probably on par with Leto if she bothered to make a comparison. When the sudden voice behind her came, her ruby painted lips pulled tight. They were quick to get on her apparently. With a tap of her left bracelet her mirror wraith disappeared, leaving the almost completely drained human laying on the ground. Standing up, she turned quickly on her heals, placing a hand on her hip and cocking it out to one side. "Oh nothing. Just a pretty girl out for a late night stroll." A small smirk curled the corner of her mouth as pale blue eyes studied him for a moment. He had those same black wings which indicated to her that he was a Dark Mirror. An Eternal one at that.

"Is that so?" he prompted, though it seemed rather rhetorical when he continued, "You look like your off to a good start." He eyed the figure on the ground and nodded approvingly before returning his gaze to Toutatis' face.
"It's not often I find a Dark Mirror Senshi I don't recognize, but it's always a pleasant surprise. Eternal Sailor Remarque, Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry," he introduced, extending his hand in greeting. "Current Vice Captain of the Dark Mirror Court. Pleasure to meet you."
He seemed in a good mood; friendly enough. But, then again—how could he not be? Remarque thrived in charm, and given how much time he'd devoted to the Dark Mirror Court, a new member was more than enough to make any day better. Hell, just knowing that there was another senshi among their ranks made getting attacked with a crowbar totally worth it.
…Especially considering he'd been able to catch the guy, teach him a lesson, and sap a hefty sum of energy from him.

She cast a glance back over her shoulder at the body, giving a light shrug. "Good start for the most part I suppose. I'm sure I'll run across someone a bit more difficult later on in the evening. But I like a challenge." When she turned her gaze back towards him a toothy grin had now crept onto her lips. "Mmmm yea, I'm fairly new if you couldn't guess." Taking his offered hand, she gave it a firm shake. No limp fish here. "Sailor Toutatis, Dark Mirror Senshi of Horror. Like wise." She probably didn't have to add in the Dark Mirror part, but everyone apparently liked to throw titles around when it came to introductions. Releasing his hand, she brushed her hair back over her shoulder, a curious look coming to her face. "Oh, Vice Captain hm? So you work more intimately with Leto then."Crossing her arms lightly, she grasped her elbows with open palms. When it came to meeting other DMC Senshi, Toutatis was generally happy to do so. It meant her Senshi social network expanded, which was a good thing. She didn't trust completely in the Negaverse just yet and in all honesty probably would never trust them complicity. But who knew, perhaps the future would change her opinion or perhaps she would be vindicated. Only time would tell.

If there was something that made a good impression with Remarque it was—aside from being a Dark Mirror Senshi—a good handshake. Not disappointed in the one Toutatis had supplied, he regarded the girl with an undeniably smug expression. He mimicked her action when the handshake ended, quite comfortable crossing his arms over his chest.
"Work intimately with Leto? …You could say that," he supposed; he and Leto certainly had worked together, though he wasn't sure he'd call anything between the two intimate. Hearing the girl's name made him assume Leto had already given Toutatis the basics of being a Dark Mirror Senshi; she was Captain and wouldn't have gotten there if she hadn't taken her job seriously. "I figure she's already given you a good run through of everything?" he prompted. "You seem to have a good grip on draining energy. Most new recruits don't pick that up so quickly. Good to see you've got it under control," he said, with a rather approving nod. "Life as a Dark Mirror treating you all right so far?"

Perhaps Toutatis' definition of the word 'intimate' was different that Remarques'. She certainly didn't mean anything romantic by it and he seemed unsure of her meaning. But either way. What she meant was that he worked somewhat closer than most of the other Dark Mirror Senshi with the Captain since ya know, he was Vice Captain. If a Captain and Vice Captain didn't work together then the whole of the group was doomed honestly. At least in Toutatis' honest opinion. "Ah well, I figure since you are Vice Captain that you've at least had more experience working with her than any other Dark Mirror Senshi."Nodding she smiled. "Indeed." A small shrug. "Its not really that difficult of a concept to grasp really. I mean, if it's difficult for some new recruits then there must be some sort of moral wall in their way. Not that I don't have morals, I just know that the only way to accomplish our goals is to be a bit...aggressive if you will." This whole gathering energy and taking out the Order was not lost on Toutatis. She knew what the goal was and once she had a goal she went for it. Never giving less than one hundred percent in her efforts. Besides, effort and work was often rewarded. And she didn't plan to stay low end for the rest of her Senshi career. "So far. Its been interesting balancing this life with civilian but I think I've got a pretty decent hold on that as well. Though it has tossed a bit of caution and wariness into the way I perceive people day to day when I'm not powered." She had found herself wondering if who in her day to day life might also be an agent of Chaos. Or...if anyone she knew was on the Order side of things. It was hard to think that perhaps one of her good friends was a Senshi that she might have to fight one day.

Remarque listened, nodding occasionally to give indication that he was paying attention. His experience had lead him to believe that most people struggled not with morals, when it came to draining energy, but in properly connecting with the mirrorwraiths enough to summon one to do their bidding. He, of all people, did not need a reminder on how aggressive this job could be.
He, of all people, thrived on it.
Not that he hadn't pushed what aggression he could aside so that he could focus instead of charming those that he could. Remarque still enjoyed a good fight, however, and was not always the most gentle when it came to draining energy.
"I don't imagine I was as suspicious of people before I joined the Dark Mirror Court," he said in understanding. Naturally he always assumed everyone had hidden motives and were up to something, but when you dabbled in the same circles he did, that was to be expected Now, he couldn't help but assume the same, only to a greater degree.
"You'll get used to it," he insisted. "This job comes with a lot of perks and next to no drawbacks. Unless you're concerned with your beauty sleep." Remarque took the opportunity to don a smile that could have been considered quite charming. "But I'm sure that's not something you concern yourself with."

She had to admit, before she had been awakened and gained what little knowledge she had now Toutatis had seen the world through rose tinted glasses. She preferred not to assume anything of anyone because assuming things made an a** out of you half the time. So she took things with an oblivious stride and never pried into any ulterior motives that other people might have had. Although that view of the world was easy when you were ignorant of things going on around you and were spoon fed information left and right. At least it seemed that Remarque understood where she was coming from. And that in itself was at least comforting to know. To know that she wasn't the only one who felt that way in the end. "I still try to give others the benefit of the doubt to the best of my abilities. For the most part."Nodding, she ran her fingers through her hair briefly. "Its just like anything else. You adapt and move on." And then there it was, a charming smile and a few words to make her head swell. Her lips curled up into a small smirk as she tilted her head slightly to the side. "Not so much as others I assure you."

"Good," the male said with a laugh, smile still planted on his face. "Because this job can get a little messy, and it's not always worth the effort to get all nice and pretty if you're just going to come home bruised and bloodied. Not," he gave her a stern look, "that we strive for such. But you'll be lucky if you don't brush knuckles with a senshi who doesn't want to hear what you have to say, or a knight who thinks you're the scum of the earth. It gets tough," he said honestly, "But you just have to remember what you're fighting for. And no matter what they say, know that you're the right one. I've known a few senshi," a few dumb ones, "Who will try to talk you away from the Court, try to play mind games with you. Don't listen."
He waved his hand through the air as if in a nonchalant effort to brush them aside. "They don't know what they're talking about, and if they did, they wouldn't be standing where they are today. I take it you haven't had enough time to get into any nasty run-ins, have you? Nothing too terrible?"

Waving her hand back and forth in the air a couple of times, Toutatis chuckled lightly at his words. "Whats the point of having this kind of job if you aren't willing to get your hands a little dirty. Or a bruise or two." She rolled her shoulders nonchalantly as her eyebrows lifted just a bit. Giving him a slightly toothy grin. "I have no plans on walking away from the Court. So their words will just fall on deaf ears."Adjusting her bracers, she shook her head. "No, nothing serious yet. Although I think I am looking forward to an encounter with the Senshi and Knights a lot more now than I was before. To have a chance to put my powers to a real test." Clenching a fist, Toutatis looked at it before she relaxed it. Chasing down civilians and such was ok. It got the job she was tasted to do done. But a few fights here and there she wouldn't mind either. What better way to assess your skills and make adjustments than with true hands on experience.

If Remarque was going to give Toutatis any credit, it was going to be for her enthusiasm. He liked someone willing to get into a little tumble, and if she was so eager for battle—hell, good for her. "I like your enthusiasm," he noted, grin sliding onto his face. "Just don't get in over your head."
Which wasn't a problem he had ever faced, however given some of the more painful run-ins other members of the court had partaken in, he figured it best to warn the new recruit. There were dangers out there—real terrors. Senshi and knights out for more than just blood. He'd handled himself for the most part, though Remarque had always been an arrogant sort. He was of the belief that nothing could bring him down.
New recruits? Hell, they were easy prey from his perspective. And she might be strong and capable, but after what he'd seen them do to Leto? To Navi, and Virtus and even Lesath?
…Yeah, no. He would play all the games he wanted, but he wasn't going to encourage Toutatis to do the same.
"You'll have to give me an update when you've had your first battle. Lemme hear how it went," he insisted, half out of curiosity, and half out of wanting to be assured that she was going to be all right on her own.

Brushing the pad of her thumb across the tip of her nose she laughed. "I like to believe I'm a good judge of what might or might not get me in over my head. But thank you for the concern."She had to admit, it was nice to see that the more seasoned Senshi take some interest and show some sort of concern for the greener recruits. They were like big brothers and sisters really. If it had been any different Toutatis may of had a different opinion all together. But it was ok. Toutatis knew to always know your exits if s**t got too serious and you needed to run. Though she honestly would prefer not running if at all possible. But if she were outnumbered or out powered well, that would be the time where you packed your s**t and got excited cause you had to go. "Of course."

Remarque offered a rather solid, convinced nod. "You've got your s**t together, that's nice to see. But if anything ever goes wrong, don't hesitate to call." He withdrew his compact, and while it was not something he ever particularly enjoyed using, given the exceptionally emasculating sensation possessing such a thing brought, he carried it on him at all times. "Though if compact isn't your style, it's not like I'm ever far from my phone. If you're ever in a situation where you need help, don't ever hesitate to ask. Even if something ever just feels wrong. I'm never too busy to come out for the Court. I'm sure Leto extended the same offer, but if so, I'll reiterate. I'd rather you not take a risk if you can help it."
He tucked the compact away, its purpose having been served. " Even capable fighters have been overwhelmed. The White Moon plays dirty. Just because they call themselves the good guys doesn't mean they act like it. New or old member, it hasn't stopped them. I get the impression that you've got a lot to give, Toutatis. I don't want you to become another casualty. So there's my bit of caution to you. Otherwise, go on out, kick some a**, and make Ares proud."

Toutatis had a compact sure, but she generally didn't carry it. Not that it didn't have it's uses she was sure. Though she was slightly surprised that Remarque carried one. Being that compacts were generally a girl thing. Even so. She nodded. "Oh, I'm sure one of these days I'll need some back up for sure. We're suppose to work as a team after all." The White Mooners. They raised her hackles at just being mentioned really. There was no way they could be all good as much as they preached how much they were. No way. Laughing, she grinned wide. "I would hate to become a casualty really. At least before I got those butt wings. Then maybe I could die happy." She meant that jokingly of course. Toutatis had no plans on dying or anything of the sort. At the end of his speech, she almost felt like she should....salute or something. But then that would probably be a bit awkward so she didn't.

Remarque donned a grin for good measure. "Die happy? Nooo," he drawled. "Once you get those butt wings, that's when the fun really starts. Sans a few stray folk, you're top of the food chain. I had fun working my up here, but now that I'm here?" he shrugged. "It's all been worth it. And once you get those butt wings, it'll be up to you to make sure the newer members of the Dark Mirror Court have someone looking out for them. Besides, you being the senshi of horror, I figure you'll really enjoy getting out there and scaring the newbies. Once you get to where I'm at, there's not much out there that can hurt you, so you've gotta get your kicks by picking fights or picking on anyone weaker than you."
He might not have been the senshi of horror, but—hell, even he enjoyed just popping up and scaring the s**t out of anyone who hadn't been paying him enough attention.
