Keahi had found a place, near a small lake in one of the parks he was pretty sure was out of the way and safe. He knew it was night and that there were strange things that go bump in the night. Including those terrorists.
However, he needed to sorely practice his fire dancing it had been a while and with the weather breaking back into spring and summer. He could now do so more often. He rolled his head to crack his neck once before stretching to limber up. He had made sure that the area he was using was safe for fire and that wouldn't accidentally set anything a blaze. A small portable fire pit was near by as well so he could light his wicks upon his wooden batons.
He also had a small portable radio. After he was done stretched he lit one of his batons and started twirling it. He didn't know that in the water, there was a youma lurking; nor that there were others around.Kyuseisha no Hikari The youma's a water based youma wink - feel free to manipulate him.

Youma seemed to be getting more and more disgusting; Keahi had the misfortune of being near a particularly vile, blue shelled crab of a youma. It didn't need the water to survive, but it had been using it to shield its precense from unsuspecting victims.
Keahi would not be the first—and he would not be the last.
If Remarque hadn't been there.
Sometimes, he enjoyed the night. Most of the time he was out gathering energy, scheming of discrete ways to pool it. He'd had some rather ingenious ideas (if he did say so himself) but tonight was just a plain old, boring, walk in the park.
So to speak.
He had seen Keahi and, admittedly, been distracted watching the male for a moment.
When he noticed the youma nearby.
On one hand, he considered just walking away—leaving the civilian to tend to it all on his own.
On the other hand, he really hated youma, and he couldn’t help but jump at any attempt he thwart the Negaverse. While they weren't looking, of course.
Remarque moved silently, eyes on the beast as it scuttled closer to Keahi. When the youma got too close for comfort, he shouted, "Move," to the civilian. He didn't expect that the youma needed much to be handled, but just to be safe he figured he might use that magic he'd been given.
His basic magic should have been enough; he called, "Crossbar Calamity," and strings descended on the youma, wrapping around its joints. It seemed surprised, even if only for a few seconds, as it struggled to free itself.
When that seemed too frustrating, it simply angrily snapped at the civilian it was still trying to reach.

Soyala enjoyed wandering the city, given the chance - it was part of her job, after all, to find new Senshi candidates and bring them to the attention of the appropriate - or, at least, most available - Chaos authorities. Sometimes that was the Negaverse, sometimes, like now, it was the Dark Mirror. She could sense an Eternal of the Court, and intended to approach him to offer her services - but things were obviously going to be more complex than that. There was a youma, and oh, she would never be fond of those things - but worse, it was menacing a civilian in whom she could sense the spark of a Senshi.
With absolutely zero hesitation, the cat bounded over to the Eternal Senshi, butting her head into his calf to get his attention.
"That man," she said, "is a potential Senshi, do not let that disgusting beast get him."

Keahi hadn't been expecting anyone else, much less a youma to pop out of the water. He'd been here long enough, but still monsters were a frightening thing when you actually seen them up close and personal. There was a slightly drawn out "Holy s**t." From the civilian as he backed up when the stranger in the costume showed up.
Was this suppose to be one of those terrorists he'd heard about? How could they be terrorists when they stop the things that go bump in then night?
When the youma started trying to snap it's claws at him. Keahi took his fire stick and smacked back it. Just because he preferred to have crab on his plate, not chasing him. Plus, he was pretty sure if he tried to run from the thing it'd likely catch up to him anyways. That's what always happened in the movies.
Granted he also seen a cat go and head-butt the guy that just tied up the crab. "So, braddah wot's wit dis bumboocha crab!?" The Hawaiian native couldn't help but stare curiously at the monster. Not to mention he'd half thought the cat could talk; but he'd save that concern for when something wasn't trying to kill him.

Remarque immediately glanced down when he felt a pressure on his leg; he hadn’t even sensed the cat until she was right on top of him. He gave her a scrutinizing look when she commanded he keep the youma from him--but he couldn't even be mad.
Not when that guy was a Senshi.
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered to her, “‘I’ll take care of it.”
He was going to destroy the youma anyway--but with a Senshi? That was an added perk. If he could understand them.
Remarque still had his hand outstretched, careful to hold the crab as best he could with the magical strings; he barely resisted the urge to reply ‘What’ to the man, so just shot him a quick look instead.
“Don’t let it reach you,” Remarque warned the civilian; the strings would hold, but he knew his magic wouldn’t last for much longer. He was already ready with his next plan--but awakening this guy was priority.
He didn’t look away from the youma before asking Soyala, “If you get over there, you can awaken him, right? I can get you a mirror open for him, but you’ll have to get him to go through.”
...Or he could have destroyed the youma and then worried about sending the guy through a mirror, but...why not multitask? People were always more eager to power up when they were fighting for their lives.
And right now? That youma looked like it wanted to snip of the civilian’s head. It struggled against the strings, and while one snapped, the others held firm. It was trapped in place, only able to move a few feet--but it was throwing its weight around. Bubbles frothed from it’s mouth and its eyes were large and focused on the flame in front of it.

"Thank you," Soyala said brightly, and she considered expressing her appreciation with physical affection, but best not to distract him too much from handling the monster. Instead, she moved into a pouncing position, wiggling her butt in the air and waiting for the right moment to leap at the civilian and offer him the chance to fight.
"I can do it," she said lightly. "It's my one purpose in life." She leapt forwar,d and darted the rest of the way, ramming her face into the civilian's leg.
"You!" She said, as imperiously as she could manage. "Would you like to be able to fight? I can help you do that!"

Storm had taken Soyala’s offer while Remarque held the youma back. After he had walked through the mirror and came out the other side he was confused and looked curiously at his new outfit for a moment before Remarque’s magic failed to contain the youma. Causing the new dark mirror senshi to jump backwards and look shocked. With Soyala’s help Storm used his basic attack on the youma which opened essentially a volcanic vent in the ground below the creature and watched as the ash and dust swirled causing small bits of static shock, you could see the lightning pass as it shocked the youma which was the intended target. Between the three of them; Remarque, Soyala and Storm – they took down the youma fairly quickly and Storm was given a rundown of the dark mirror senshi.Quote: Quick summery of how the fight ended
