After the spider-youma disaster, Darwin was glad to be back at Aquarius. He'd heard a rumor about unfortunate things happening to some of those trying to help Aquarius, but since the rumors hadn't mentioned spiders or space squirrels he let them go in one ear and out the other.
Now Darwin was sitting on the tiled ground, back leaning up against a fountain as her studied the painted ceiling. It was a nice room, he decided.
" Hello?"
His voice reverberated in the empty room, making him smile; echo-y.
" Hell-lo~? I'm bored. Someone come play a game with me."
Normally he'd hop on his DS and go to Extralink or the Dream World on Pokemon, but since his DS wasn't here he'd have to rough it. A word game would do.

Game ?
He liked games well enough, really. Games were fun.
Somehow Darwin had managed to catch Joshua's attention. Through this probably wasn't what he expected to get from his call for someone - he got someone, alright...
Someone who just happened to be made up of light. Yup.
And heyyyy... Didn't he knew this one ? Yes, he noticed belatedly he did. He couldn't quite remember how or where, but it didn't matter. He knew this one ! That was enough.
The light shape bobbed up and down like a 5 years old hyped on sugar, as if trying to say HIIIIIII~

Raven hesitated, hearing voices and going to investigate. She gave a little smile when she saw it was Darwin who was sitting there. As well as...a bouncing blob of light?
"Hey, Darwin...You wanted...a game?"
The blonde walked over, frowning a little at the light blob, but shrugging slightly. Well...it didn't look harmful, not now anyway...and...well, could light hurt you? It wouldn't give a person sunburn, would it? Is that possible?
She moved to Darwin and sat across from him, facing the boy. "What did you want to play, Dar? You're bored out of your mind too, hm?"
She was feeling a little better after spending some time in Virgo, and was quite thankful for that.

" Ack!"
Darwin flailed at the arrival of the unexpected visitor. When he had said "someone" he thought that the "human" part was just understood, but he guessed he should've specified.
" You're not going to attack me, are you? Get ugly somehow and summon a million more of you?"
The bouncing ball of light didn't exactly seem dangerous, but one never knew.
A familiar voice derailed Darwin's thoughts, making him grin.
" Hey Raven! Yes, I was thinking of playing a word association game. I'm glad you came, especially since I'm not sure my, ah, friend here would be able to play."

Darwin’s voice was familiar to Jett; he’d been around him enough that he knew who was speaking before he even saw the younger male—just sitting there. Amused as always whenever Darwin was around, a smile flickered onto his face when he noticed that Darwin was not alone and had a certain blonde already keeping him company.
Well, there were two birds.
“Darwin, why is it that every time I see you, you’ve got girls hanging all over you?” he asked, clearly bemused. “How could you possibly ever be bored?”
Particularly enough for a word association game. Actually. No, you know what? That seemed right up Darwin’s alley.
Jett stepped deeper into the room, approaching the small group. He gave a little nod to Raven in greeting--his quiet acknowledgement that she was alive and well.

Raven's eyes lit up when Jett walked into the room and she flashed him a smile. Oh. well, this was lovely. Now he'd think she was with Darwin or something again. Why did she always end up with both of these guys? Why had she kissed them both? Oh well.
"Word association? What kind of Word association game? Like the ones you play in elementary school?"
She looked back to Darwin, seeming curious, but somewhat excited. She had been very, very bored...and, maybe that would be fun. Plus, she'd have her friends to hang out with, that was always a good thing.
"Sounds good to me, whatever kind you want to play."

Mary had followed Raven. She didn't cling, so much as hover over her. It was as if the girl thought Raven was going to dissapear on her or something. It was always possible.
She stayed on the edges of the group for a moment, watching. Blob of light, Raven, Darwin, Jett... besides the blob of light it all seemed like nothing had gone wrong. She sat next to Raven after a moment.
"Hi Darwin... Jett... good to see you two okay," she said softly with a smile. She didn't want to ruin this moment, for fear of it shattering into a thousand pieces and she's find herself on the Surrounding again.

Hurt them ? The light stopped it's bobbing when those words were uttered. They couldn't see it so easily, but Joshua was puzzled.
Why would he want to attack them ? That wasn't fun.
Word games were fun ! But... Well, he couldn't really speak, now could he ? Unless... oh, there was this metal plate.
The light darted off toward it, and it took a moment - but as fog covered it, words formed.
'Don't wanna hurt. Just wanna play.'
Clear enough, right ?

" Ack!"
Another unexpected arrival meant more flailing from Darwin.
" You!" Darwin pointed a finger at Jett. " You're... not dead. You're not dead?"
The green haired boy looked confused for a moment, then cheered up immensely.
" You're not dead! Wonderful! Then you can play with us."
Darwin was genuinely glad to see the other boy alive and not just because he wanted to play a game, even if that's how it sounded.
" You too Mary. Glad you're here."
" Yes, a word association game like that. I say something, then you say whatever it makes you think of." He shrugged, " I figured it'd be easier then trying to get enough people for a game of human chess."
Eyeing the writing on the mirror, he added, " Should be interesting playing with a ghost."
" So, what do we call you, ghost? Casper?"

Jett raised his brow at Darwin. Dead? Why did everyone think he’d died? Sure, there had been other people who had died, but if nobody had seen his body, why had they jumped to the worst possible conclusion?
His eyes drifted to the light—to the fog and writing; a shiver ran down his spine and he felt a bit awkward as moved nearer, careful to keep a bit of distance. He couldn’t, for the life of him, figure what it was, but the idea of a ghost made him take the concept of death a little bit seriously. Jett sat down across from Darwin; he didn’t object to the idea of playing the game; there were dozens of things he could have been doing that were far more mature and satisfying, but right now he didn’t really want to. He wanted to sit around with Darwin and Mary and Raven and--Casper, or whatever--and play this little word game thing. He sat cross legged and rested his elbows on his knees, propping his chin up in his palms as he waited for further direction.

Well, that definitively wasn't his name - but the lost wasn't lost on him, even in the state he was now. He laughed, though the others wouldn't hear it.
The plate fogged over again and another word formed.
'Sure.'
