The average citizen of Destiny City would have missed the sudden strange, rippling surface its mirrors. They would have missed the faint, silvery glow of the mirror frames. They would have missed the call of Mirrorspace. But, for the Dark Mirror Senshi, it was loud and clear. It didn’t matter what rank they were—the mirrors were open for all of them. Stepping through the mirror wasn’t any different than a normal mirrorwalking—it was stepping out of the mirror that was unusual. They were deprived the warmth of a summer evening and were instead thrust into a cold room. Mirrorwalking always felt like jumping into a pool of water, but the sensation usually left them as soon as they stepped through the mirror. Not this time; this time a strange pressure weighed heavily on them, as if some invisible force was clinging to them, dragging them down. Stranger than that though was the fact that they did not find themselves in the Common Room. Instead, they had been pulled into an entirely unfamiliar room. Aside from the pressure and chill, it was also just slightly darker than the rooms they usually encountered in Mirrorspace. Faint hairline cracks ran from the ceiling towards the ground. All Dark Mirror Senshi had entered from the same mirror—a single, great, silver framed mirror. It was a gorgeous piece; hand carved spirals and twisting metal wrapped around the frame. It appeared as delicate as it was imposing; for all its beauty, it seemed strangely intimidating. This mirror was the only one in the room and, strangely, while it seemed like it was a doorway into Mirrorspace, it did not seem like a doorway out. Anyone who tried to exit through it would find the they couldn’t step out. But, even that wasn’t the most interesting thing about this place. After the room began to fill up, it started. A sudden, distant rumble. It was like a low groaning, far enough away that it didn’t hurt the ears, but close enough that the room trembled, just slightly. A soft, splintering sound echoed through the room from somewhere unseen, but the room held. For now. Quote: All Dark Mirror Senshi are invited to attend! Any Dark Mirror Senshi can see any mirror rippling, regardless of if they are in their powered or civilian form, but they will need to power up to interact with the mirror. First rank Senshi do not need to piggyback a ride to Mirrorspace; the doors to Mirrorspace are currently open to all members of the Dark Mirror Court. All Mirrors will lead to this room and only Dark Mirror Senshi can enter. Prompts will occur approximately every 24 hours! Warning: This ORP will tie into an event that will remove your character from Destiny City for approximately a week and a half ICly. If you have time sensitive plots that would be disrupted from a temporary absence, please reach out to the mule for more details!

It had started like any normal, ordinary day…Raven had gotten ready for her day, though she had noticed the bathroom mirror acting strangely. Glowing. Shimmering. It wasn’t normal. That much she was damn sure of. After a quick chat with Jett, the two decided that they would go and take a look to see what was going on with that ridiculous place now. Mirrorspace, that was. But. The only issue was Chloe, though that was an issue easily solved with a call to Jett’s mom and an excuse of needing to go out of town to go and get something for the Antique store…of course she had thought they were just going on a romantic getaway, not that Raven minded the excuse at all.
The two could have used a romantic getaway…but. A getaway to Mirrorspace was better than nothing at all. Most likely.
It wasn’t until a few hours after first noticing the mirror’s glow that Lesath stepped through, glancing around and frowning almost at once.
…This…wasn’t normal. Again, not that Mirrorspace was ever normal but…this wasn’t where they normally entered it…and that slightly concerned her. They had already experienced how dangerous going into unknown parts of this place could be…
She glanced behind her and looked at the mirror that they had entered from. It was very beautiful…but again. Not normal.
Honestly, she didn’t like this. It made her feel uncomfortable and she glanced to Remarque, reaching out and taking his hand. “I don’t know, Rem. This feels…off.”

Remarque didn’t like that Mirrorspace couldn’t just be weird in itself; it had to branch out to Destiny City, too? He and Raven had made plans in the event that something happened, and his mother was all too eager to steal their child. The little girl she’d always wanted, she’d said, and he couldn’t even be mad about it when she always seemed so happy to have Chloe around.
They could keep each other company while he and Lesath gave Mirrorspace their attention.
He had gone through the mirror as an eternal Senshi, unwilling to waste extra energy until he knew he needed it. He’d held Lesath’s hand as they stepped through, not just out of affection but out of practicality as well. He didn’t know what the Mirror was doing and he didn’t want to be separated with her—not in this labyrinth.
Arriving in the room was strange; he had been in Mirrorspace enough to know that something was immediately wrong. He moved closer to Lesath instinctively. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before.”
He skimmed the room for a hallway, a room, a door he might recognize.
In all the time he’d spent in Mirrorspace, everything about this room was foreign to him.

They'd been out patrolling, like good little senshi.
Unlike good little senshi, however, Lovejoy and her best friend weren't collecting energy on their patrol, but instead trying to solve the mystery of the Really Cool Crystal and the Hunk of Junk that they'd obtained in Mirrorspace earlier in the month with Lesath.
Kibby had gotten the Really Cool Crystal while LJ had obtained the Hunk of Junk, as she had not-so-affectionately dubbed it. She'd picked the grey one because clearly the one most obviously useless would turn into the one most obviously useful... except it hadn't. It was a dull, heavy rock and that was it.
When the mirrors began to shimmer in the nearby department store window, Lovejoy was immediately intrigued. A busted door later and they were standing in front of the dressing room reflection, staring back at the silvery shimmer around the edges.
"Do you think it could be because of our rocks? We should probably check it out - it's our duties as senshi, right???"
Clutching the heavy Hunk of Junk, she didn't give her companion time to answer, choosing instead to yank the girl by the wrist as she dove her way through the reflective glass.

Walking back to Caleb's, from the grocery store, he'd been intending to surprise the other with dinner. He knew Caleb was out, though he couldn't remember where as he'd been just on the brink of sleep when he'd been told where the other was going. Still, dinner made at home sounded nice to him so he'd gone out to do some shopping. It was simple enough, at least he thought so, and it was with a light smile in place that he'd been heading back to Caleb's when he'd seen something in passing, he'd thought it just a trick of the eye...mirrors didn't ripple like that. He knew glass was a liquid, so it moved, but not like that....that wasn't normal.
Hurrying his pace he made it back to Caleb's and dropped the groceries off, putting everything into the fridge, or cabinets. He should have, and could have, left a note but he didn't. he didn't want to worry the other, or promise something he might not be able to deliver on. It would be bad enough when the other got back and noticed the groceries but not him...s**t, he didn't like this at all.
While guilt clawed at his stomach, which was already twisting itself into knots, Xi-Wang made his way to the bathroom where he did the risky thing of powering up and entering into the mirror.
Mirrorspace wasn't a place he'd gone to often but he knew what he was feeling wasn't normal. The room was empty, save for a mirror and people entering, but there was nothing else there. It wasn't that which was wrong but the feel, the atmosphere, and the weight he felt pressing in on him...that was all wrong. What was happening now...? Worry and nerves filled him, causing his stomach to churn unpleasantly, as his dark eyes wandered about in the hopes of landing on someone he knew - anyone.
His eyes landed on Remarque for a moment, before noting the person he was with, and than moved away. He didn't want to intrude. But to be honest he didn't like the feeling of this place right now. It was his nerves which had him fiddling with the end of his uniform, his gloves, anything really that was part of his uniform.

This was wrong. This was very very wrong. Rhona had been minding her own business, watering her plants and humming show tunes to herself when she had first noticed it. A ripple in the large mirror that she had hanging above her couch. At first she assumed it was a visitor, as the mirror was there expressly to allow easy entry of dark mirrored allies into her home should they need to visit her. So she set down her can and bustled to the kitchen to make some food and tea for her visitor. Except that no sounds of life came from the living room. Rhona poked her head around the corner to see if maybe they were just very quiet but... there was no one. And the mirror was still rippling... and glowing. Rhona set the tray with sandwiches and tea down on her coffee table and inspected her mirror. When she touched it, her hand came back clean, but the surface moved like water. She had never powered up so fast in her life. Acubens grabbed her bag with her jewel and her journal and leaped through the mirror above her couch. Upon entering mirrorspace, she began to understand why the mirror were signalling to the senshi. Hairline cracks spiderwebbed the room that they were in, like a mirror that had been dropped. Acubens shuddered from the pervasive chill and what the parallel might mean for them. "Well if you haven't seen it then I guess we're all doomed, aren't we boss," Acubens quipped as she took her place beside Lesath, trying to lighten the mood even a little. "What do you think, Kiuchi?" It was a small nudge towards independence, she felt, for Kiuchi to be voice his own opinions and assertions.

The day had started off as a pretty quiet one.
Mi-Hi had spent the day picking up college supplies - such as the books that she had ordered that had come in at the book store and a few other bits and pieces.
It was hard to believe that the end of August was pretty much two weeks away, the summer seeming to have passed by almost meltingly quickly–
But August was midway through and September around the sort of corner and the time was coming when she would be able to call herself Mi-Hi - DCU student.
She'd ended up bumping into a friend and stopping for tea, before eventually starting to make her way home with her packages.
Dark Mirror Court-related stuff was the last thing on her mind on the walk back - at least up until the point where she saw the mirror.
It was the glow that caught her eye, a faint silvery glow that was unusual and one that had had her stepping closer - curious.
But she was Mi-Hi and not Sadalsuud and so she had gone home to drop off her purchases and then had returned to the mirror - this time as Sadalsuud.
The mirror was still glowing with the soft silvery glow.
Sadalsuud stepped towards it, studying it curiously as green eyes noted the rippling of the mirror...
And then she stepped through it.
She found herself stepping through a silver-framed mirror, carved spirals winding its way around it in a delicate frame and shivered at the sudden chill that was in contrast to the August warmth that had been on the other side.
Sadalsuud felt heavy too, a strange pressure seeming to cling to her as green eyes glanced around her surroundings–
And whilst she hadn't spent much time in mirrorspace, the strange room seemed somewhat darker than the rooms she had encountered prior.
There were a few others in the room too, Sadalsuud managing a small wave at Remarque and another at Kiuchi, although she didn't step over to either of them as both of them seemed to be in conversations and she didn't want to disturb them.Quote: Sadalsuud is open for interactions but please quote me

Glad to see Acubens, watching as the wild curly haired female entered mirrorspace, he was quick to shuffle on over and take hold of her fuku. His grip wasn't tight but he also wasn't going to be letting go anytime soon. In his other hand was the crystal he'd gotten while in mirrorspace with Remarque.
He'd had it on him, as he always did, when he powered up. He didn't want to leave it around Rhona's home, not that he didn't trust the other, and he couldn't leave it at Caleb's and risk anything happening to the other or questions being asked. From his pocket he'd pulled it out, right before powering up, and right before entering the mirror he'd taken it back into his hand. It was still there now as he turned his focus onto Acubens as she questioned him.
"Too dark...and cold....it's never this chill..." Why was it chilly in here? This wasn't normal....what was going on this time? Last time he'd gotten stabbed at with a mirror shard and the time before that had been very big, nasty, wraiths. He couldn't imagine what could be happening now. Were these all some sort of sign? Or were these events part of a bigger whole...something out to get them in their own home?
"Are those...cracks?" As he had been thinking, a bit more than he really should be, his dark eyes had been flitting about and had taken note of what looked like...cracks. More cracks? Hadn't there been cracks, though much bigger, last time?

Noticing the newer senshi, Acubens opened her body language to include the girl should she want to contribute. She smiled her welcome to her and nodded gently at Kiuchi. It was darker than it usually was. Colder. Closer. Mirrorspace had never been a cozy place, but now it felt suffocating. She wondered vaguely where Crocus was or if he'd be joining them. Ptolemy too. Though they had met only briefly, she considered him a friend. "You're definitely right about that one, love," she sighed, looking up and around. "It's cold and dark. Kinda like a cave, actually..." She turned in palce once to try and glean more information but... there was none. "Do you happen to see a way out that I don't," Acubens asked to anyone in particular. She leaned forward to further inspect the mirror before her. It was a beautiful piece of work but... the devil often took pleasing forms, her mother used to say. And this devil didn't seem like it would be letting anyone out any time soon. A one way mirror, Acubens thought sardonically. And then she saw the crystal in Kiuchi's hand. "Wait, do you think Mirrorspace is pissed that we took these," she asked suddenly, pulling out her own green crystal. She'd grown rather fond of it in the last few weeks, but if it meant fixing mirrorspace, then she'd put it back where it came from no problem. "How many were taken?"

Sinope had not been ready to come back to Mirrorspace after the last series of ordeals it had put its court through - not one bit. Unfortunately for him, Ptolemaeus hadn't given him a choice. Almost immediately after the redhead had powered up to go on patrol, the older sailor scout confronted him.Without a word, he picked Sinope up, kicking, struggling, and protesting, before taking a step through the same alleyway mirror Remarque had first brought Kit through. The place they ended up in wasn't the same, though. In fact, it seemed completely unfamiliar to them both, from its appearance to its very atmosphere.
"What'd we miss?" Ptolemy asked of his fellow court members, promptly dumping his captive onto the ground.Sinope was less eager to know. As soon as he'd gotten back on his feet, he streaked toward the one and only mirror present in the room - the one they had just seemed to enter through - only to find it unwilling to let him return the way he'd entered.
"You've got to be kidding me," he groaned, taking a step back to stare in disbelief at the enormous, intricately-framed piece of glass. "We're trapped here?!""Shut up and calm down a minute, Sin," the dark-eyed super senshi advised. "We'll figure this out together a little at a time.""But I don't want to figure this out together," he hissed through his teeth, trusting that Ptolemy would understand where he was coming from. And Ptolemy did indeed, though he thought Sinope was being silly about it. "Then go sit quietly in the corner until the rest of us understand what's going on." He then turned his fully attention to the others, homing in on Acubens, Kiuchi, and Sadalsuud. They seemed to have been talking about the colored crystals, so Ptolemaeus took his own out.
"That's a good theory, Acubens. But if Mirrorspace is 'pissed that we took these'," he said, "why would it have let us leave with them in the first place? That doesn't make much sense, does it? Especially knowing now that it could have trapped us here before if it'd wanted."

Nischal was in his home when the ripples started, simply doing dishes in the large and empty condo. In the beginning, he wasn't quite sure what he saw, but there was that pull, that everlasting need to go and help. Though eternal, he was still so unfamiliar with Mirror Space and the world it entailed, but it was that same strangeness and unease that had brought him back to Destiny city in the first place.
Wiping his hands on the apron he wore, Nischal gave it another quick glance, and there it was again, a tiny ripple that seemed to start at the middle and slowly ebb out... And It called to him, pulling him in like a moth to a flame. Though he knew it was foolish to power up in his own home, he took that risk, letting the once sad shape of Nischal shift into Avior who, while much stronger in power, still held that same, defeated look. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to go into the mirror... The past few times he had gone and tried to help anything just led to disaster, with himself injured without having even having helped anyone.
Again, he hesitated, fingers barely brushing the front of the mirror with an unsteady, shaking touch. Were he to go in... would he be useful? Would he be able to protect the people he claimed he cared about even though it still felt like he was strangers to all of them, even if it was his own fault for his self-imposed isolation? As much as he didn't want to care about those things, he did, and it terrified him to think that once he arrived, eyes would be on him, judging him, as if everyone knew what he had done before in leaving the city, and leaving his people behind.
Beside the mirrors was the small, heavy and grey crystal he had been given from Remarque before. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but it was his, and a reminder that he was more than just a senshi that existed and ran away, he was part of that team. It still felt heavy in his hands, and that pressure brought a bit of comfort to the young man, a small smile reaching his lips before he slipped it in his pocket.
This time the mirror rippled again, larger than before, almost violently, and it glowed. Whether or not it was due to just him being powered up now was uncertain, but again, it called for him. And this time, he answered, taking a deep breath and stepping through.
Unlike usual, it wasn't the common room... It was cracked and strange and there was this pressure in here that made him feel incredibly uneasy and nauseated.. Avior took but a moment to steady himself, swallowing back whatever strange and foreign feelings that were welling up in his gut before making his way to the side of the room, out of the way of the others to listen. They didn't need his input, not when voices were always quick to talk over one another and debate up until the next thing happened. What reason was there for him to say a thing when he'd be drowned out by those more confidant or encouraged by himself.
Instead, he offered a small smile to those he knew and remained quiet, listening to the low rumble that seemed to engulf the entire area and made his heart race just a bit with his uneasiness. What exactly was going on...?

Diadem had to admit that when she first felt the summons from the mirror, she was more than a little... well... excited. In spite of the danger from last time, it was both unanswered questions (and those made her leap for them to begin with) and the vague, flattering idea that somehow she had become worthy of traveling mirrors on her own. Which... well... retrospectively she knew was stupid, but just for a hot minute it had been nice to feel like maybe she was somehow an exception.
The mirror-verse as a rule didn't believe in skipping grades though, and she would kick herself later for letting herself think it... and the shiver of chill that went through her when she emerged in the dark room helped quickly extinguish that little thought as well, as did the collection of faces, some confused, some frustrated, as she emerged in the space.
...And then there was the noise. Which was a rather awful reminder of having chunks of glass whistle past her as they climbed mirror frames like a climbing wall, and she looked around, wide eyed, searching to see Laverna was anywhere to be found. Zipping to Remarques side would look ridiculous, and needy, and she could spot at least two people who would waste no time dropping what they were doing to snigger at her for it, but Laverna, close to her own level, could not be singled out as making Diadem look like a swooning heroine rushing to the "far more capable" (barf) hero in a film.
"...OK so... I'm guessing no one has a nice umbrella or anything... not that I imagine that's going to do much if it decides to shower us with shards... again..." She wondered, backing slowly toward the group at large, still not seeing the face she'd prefer, but she could deal with that for now. Besides, she went to Crystal. She'd toss her favorite eye-shadow if she couldn't at least manage to keep a dignified face over some groaning glass. And maybe it would distract from what sounded like an argument about to start over the crystals that had been turning up.
She wondered if her own magic would be able to work if she pointed her hands up instead of forward... would she have to lie on her back? It would be nice to be sure without having to find out under... well... threat of impalement, or whatever else might be in store. It didn't help that she'd been watching old episodes of Mythbusters, including the one about dropping sheets of glass or driving through them.

LavernaSatine had been sitting in her room at home, trying to decide what excuse to use to get out of some fancy dinner party her 'darling' stepmother was dragging them to. Her eyes had only glanced away from the mirror she was sitting before for a moment when she caught the shift. For a second she thought it had been her eyes, the lights playing tricks on her. But there it was again. Something was....odd. At least she had her way out of the dinner party. By the time Laverna stepped through mirror, a number of her court was already gathered in the common room...wait, this wasn't the main point she always entered with Remarques. Eyes shifting around, the senshi of thieves made note of who was there. With her Prince there already, and his future bride standing in her group of ladies in waiting, Laverna new this wasn't his doing. The look on his face was just as confused as the rest. But she would not approach him just yet as her eyes quickly spotted two around him that she very much wanted nothing to do with. Turning instead, Laverna clicked into place beside Diadem, the one woman she felt she could count on for some common sense. "Mirrorspace seems to really know how to throw a party. No food or drinks even?" Laverna commented, clearly with a smirk on her face as she then scanned the others there. Then she noticed another that she had seen before...months ago. "I know him..." Laverna said to Diadem as she clearly caught the male's eye. "Al....something?" She said loud enough for him to hear. He wasn't fawning over one of the others. Laverna admired that.

There were only a few weeks of summer vacation left, which meant Jason was out enjoying himself before classes could start up again. He always took time off of work around this time of year to enjoy what was left of summer. There were plans to hang out with a group of friends at the mall that day, they hadn't been there for more than an hour before Jason noticed a strange light in a mirror by a sunglasses booth. At first, he didn't take much notice, surely it was just the trick of a light from somewhere behind him. The second time he saw it though, he knew something was wrong. No one else in his small group seemed to notice anything strange, it was like Mirrorspace was calling out to him. Was this some new form of communication between his court?
He made excuses to his friends, he was needed at his mother's store. He said his goodbyes and then found a sizeable mirror that he could pass through as Crocus without drawing attention to himself. He had only mean to Mirrorspace a handful of times, but even he could tell that something was off when he stepped through the mirror and out to the other side.
It felt like he was underwater, the waves above him holding him down. They weren't in the common room either and Crocus recalled Acubens telling him they always entered Mirrorspace into the common room. He had his blue crystal with him as well. Surely, whatever was going on it might just be needed. He liked to think Mirrorspace had given it to him because it would be useful at some point. Avior was the first Senshi he noticed, as it seemed like they hadn't stepped through too far apart from each other, and he was apart from the group just a bit.
"Does it feel like the Ocean to you? I almost feel like I'm under the waves, that and its colder than I remember it being in here." He gave the more experienced Senshi a little pat on the shoulder and glanced around to see who else was here. It was decently sized group already and he recognized many of them from their last adventure through Mirrorspace. His shoulder throbbed in a phantom spain as a reminder of what had happened last time. He really hoped he wouldn't get stabbed by a mirror this time around, how unpleasant.
Acubens and Kiuchi were easy to spot, along with the other friends they had made during their last visit. He gave the group a little wave, but at the moment he stayed next to Avior to give him some company. He was also of the mind that he didn't have much else to comment on the strange space they were in, he couldn't begin to guess why any of this was happening. The room was splintered all around them and he definitely felt uneasy, like the whole space they were in could shatter at any moment.

A cave...was it like a cave? He wasn't sure, having never been in one, but also he didn't know if he'd compare it to that. "Maybe a closet also...." He whispered for Acubens to hear, and only her. "On a rainy night...or a cold night..." He added in after a moment. No matter what it was like he didn't like this, he didn't like seeing mirrorspace like this.
"Huh?" Following Acubens' gaze he noted his own stone and shook his head. "I-I don't know...wouldn't it have done something sooner though?" Though how long did it take for mirrorspace to act on something...a delay between feelings, if you could call it that, and action. Or thought of action and the actual action. He didn't like that this place seemed to have some sort of a mind...of a thought process, it was scary in a way.
"I doubt we know how many we have or who has them all..." Gripping onto her fuku still he leaned in closer to the other. For a moment his dark eyes found the senshi of clovers and he nodded once to her, smiling a bit. He really should spend some time with her soon, maybe shopping? Or going out for lunch? He wasn't sure what but it wouldn't be bad. They could collect energy together as well.
"That too...why let us even have them to start with? Why show us to them?" He questioned as he agreed with Ptolemy, smiling to the other at the idea. it was a legit idea and good reason for why mirrorspace couldn't be mad at them..and if it was because of the crystals...wasn't it mirrorspaces own fault? "I don't think it's the crystals...or rather us taking them. They could be connected though...seems suspicious...time wise."
As he spoke he looked around, gaze drifting and wandering, he really didn't like the feelings this place was giving. Out of the corner of his eye, just as he was turning his head, his dark eyes spotted another familiar figure coming through the mirror - Avior! After giving Acubens a quick look and a whisper, letting her know he'd be back, he headed over to see the other. "Avior...Crocus." Both were treated so a smile as the senshi of gorgons decided to stay with the two for now, get their take on things.
"This feels wrong...doesn't it?" Trying to start some sort of conversation with the two, even while moving to stand as close to the eternal as he could. "Too cold and dark...like a closet but with cracks..." It was easy to tell that he was uneasy and didn't like the vibe of this room, this wasn't even where they should be arriving. It was all wrong.
