Something had been bothering Laverna since the group experience in Mirrorspace. Ignoring the other members of the court she wanted to neuter, Laverna could not get those glowing, beautiful crystals out of her head. She had been rather disappointed not to have gotten her hands on them all but... Rolling her neck a bit to work out the kinks from another gym work out, the masked senshi was waiting on her ride for the evening. She had reached out to Prince Remquare after enough time had passed that she was betting the 'romance' had at least slowed a little. She would hate to take him away from his woman. So she stood waiting for him back in the same park where he had found her, alone and lost. She just hoped he wouldn't kill her when she informed him just where in Mirrorspace she wanted to go. "What kept ya?" She called out when she could finally sense someone else was around.

Remarque raised a brow when he approached. “The joys of parenthood,” he replied simply enough. “Is your clock fast? I wasn’t late when I left.”
He prided himself on his timeliness and huffed indignantly at the idea that he would be late.
“I hope you haven’t been waiting too long. I’m all up for venturing into Mirrorspace, but you’ve got me a little suspicious. What are you looking for?”
He gestured for her to follow him to the mirror he’d come from; there was plenty of time to walk and talk, and if they were going to do both then they might as well do it in Mirrorspace.

"If you are early, you are on time. If you are on time, you are late. If you are late..." Laverna glanced at him. Remarque was one of the few people she would reach up and pull her mask down so that he could clearly see her expressions. She was smiling in jest. "...you have some explaining to do." With a half bow of respect from her waist, the senshi followed him into the mirror. "But daddy duty I can believe. How is the little one? Not showing any signs of mirror-walking I hope." That would have been a trip, not to mention impossible to find a babysitter for. She ignored his question for a moment, having clearly heard it but rather focusing on his life. But as they crossed into their Mirrorspace, Laverna finally gave him her reasoning. "I can't stop wondering...well..." She motioned to the cracks that had appeared in the wall and looked at them with a careful eye. "Aw hell. Forget sounding all proper..." Laverna finally said with a roll of her eyes. Turning around, she put her hands on her hips and faced the man. "I want my own shiny and I can't get one without someone of upper rank with me. Since you are the only one I trust...and I know how you love exploring..." "Besides, I figured you might want to see what you missed macking on your woman."

Remarque raised a brow but rather than be annoyed, he just seemed amused. “Well if I’m I’m late, I’ve got a damned good reason to be. But, no. The little one is fine. Active, though, and getting into as much trouble as she can while she knows she can get away with it. I just can’t stay mad at her little face. She’s just got this look,” he sighed, shaking his head.
He wasn’t at all surprised about the state of Mirrorspace, nor Laverna’s eagerness to investigate.
“That she gets from her mother,” he continued; he nodded towards the crack in the wall, silently confirming he had no issue with trying to revisit where they’d been the other day. “Who, I am happily engaged to and will take the opportunity to ‘mack on’ whenever I can. Have you ever tried kissing someone in front of a toddler? They ask so many questions. And get jealous. Besides, I get cranky when I don’t get enough attention.”
He cracked a grin as he moved towards the wall. “And the last thing you want is a cranky Prince for company.”

"You are trapped, you know that right?" Laverna said with a smirk and a roll of her eyes as he followed behind him. "If her mother already has it down, she will have you wrapped around her little finger before she turns two." If she didn't already. But at his last comment, Laverna couldn't help but grin under her mask. Cranky hm? Sounds like someone wasn't getting enough attention under the sheets. Too bad.... "I don't know about that. I think I would take a cracky prince over a foolish eternal any day." But her words betrayed her as she stepped up beside him and slipped past. She might have made a point to brush against him just a bit closer than she needed but all was far in amused exploring and flirting. And his woman wasn't there. "But you found the safest route last time didn't you?" Laverna commented as she glanced back around, trying to remember what they saw before. "So I would say, we take that way and pray mirrorspace decided not to have a sense of humor. Because the last thing you may want is the company of a woman you can't touch."

“‘Trapped’,” Remarque replied, huffing as she walked by, “Implies that I’m not happy where I am.”
Maybe things hadn’t always been perfect with Raven, but they’d persisted. They’d worked on things. They’d had Chloe, and honestly, Remarque wouldn’t have changed anything in their life.
Well, no, that was a lie; he’d have had a different dog. A big dog, a manly dog. One who could protect the house and who he wouldn’t have to side eye every time he took it outside.
But besides that, everything else was perfect.
And even, the dog wasn’t that bad. Remarque had a soft spot for it, not that he’d admit it.
There were plenty more things he could think of that would be the last thing he wanted to deal with, but he just kept on his path. “We can take the route I did. How was the trek for you the last time we were here? Did you make it home in one piece?” he asked, figuring it best to keep some conversation going. Mirrorspace was eerie when it was quiet, especially here.

"Trapped only means you are stuck somewhere. The company you keep just defines if you are enjoying being held captive or hating it." Lavera shot back with a wink as she turned down the route she had seen him taken. It was suddenly so much easier... Curse you mirrorspace. There was a long sigh from Laverna though when she was asked about her route. "Painful." Laverna finally shrugged, shaking it off. "Between being cut up by spikes and having rocks fall on my head....you would think this place was trying to kill me!" Throwing her hands up in an animated fashion, she waved them over her head before bringing them down again. "But you know, the worst part about it was Momma I won't shut up for 5 seconds because I have to protect my babies..." Now her eyes rolled. "At least Diadem was around to keep me from slugging Snotpee". She had continued walking as she spoke, only stopping a moment to crawl through the poky cave of doom. By the time they made it to the cliff side, Laverna was clearly getting animated. "But who does she think she is? Thinking just because I'm new she suddenly can tell me how to live my life? Get over yourself. I put up with that every damn day and I'm not about to do it now. Especially not when you drag people behind you."

Remarque tilted his head as she spoke, glad at least that she couldn’t see his expression. He was amused, at least in her choice of names, but waited until she was through and he had followed to respond.
“No one meant any harm, I’m sure. Tensions get high when things like this happen. Not everyone is very good at expression concern in a reasonable manner. Don’t hold it against them. It’d be better if everyone had the opportunity to meet and get to know each other a bit before Mirrorspace decided to break itself, but,” he shrugged. “It likes to undermine our stability every chance it gets. It was something new, at least.”
Not necessarily good, but no one had died or been seriously maimed, and they’d started finding strange little crystals.
That also weren’t killing anyone.
Yet.

Laverna's shoulders clearly sank as he spoke. There was a long sigh that came from her as he killed her ranting with attempts at logic. In a way, she knew he was right and that stress and confusion makes people do stupid things. But she also knew that attention seekers did REALLY stupid things to prove their worth. Her half sister had taught her that one crystal clear. "Not to disagree but talking to them afterwards in a calm place didn't do much to change my mind." Laverna offered as she turned around to look at him. "I mean I know everyone is different and hell, I know I annoy people but come on. You can't tell me that you have never wanted to throw duct tape over their mo...UTH!" The last of her word increased in range and pitch as Laverna stepped back and onto something that moved. It rolled under her step, causing her leg to slip out from under her and the senshi of thieves to end up on her rear end in an ungraceful thud. "Son of a ....sorry." Laverna started to curse then glanced up at Remarque. Like being caught by your father. Turning at the waist, Laverna looked back to see what had caused her to hit the ground. There, gazing back at her was a small white crystal. It seemed like the ones she had seen here before minus one difference. "Rem...is that crystal hovering off the ground?"

Remarque wore a tired, amused smile and shook his head as Laverna spoke. The smile faded when she fell; if he had been paying more attention to her and not the area around them, he would have made an effort to catch her. “You all right?”
He held out a hand to help her up; he was as interested in making sure she was in one piece as he was following her gaze to the crystal. His eyes found it with ease—it was the only thing hovering there, anyway.
“That’s probably the most interesting way anyone’s found a crystal,” he mused after a few seconds. “I don’t know that I’ve seen one do that, exactly, before.”
He didn’t reach for it; instead, he took a second to give her a quick look over. “You didn’t twist your ankle or bust your tailbone or anything, did you?”

"No more than I bruised my pride." Laverna hissed, her hand going back to rub her behind even if her eyes were still locked on the crystal hovering there as if held by invisible strings. "My coach would kick my a** if she saw that. So can we keep it between us?" Glancing back at Rem, she winked but rolled back over her shoulder to get her feet back under her. Rising slowly, eyes turned back to the floating stone. "At least I keep you entertained. And not in an eye roll way." Laverna added with sly chuckle in her voice. However it was her hand that had her attention now. After seeing others pick up stones like this, Laverna had no fear about reaching out to it. However she did hesitate a moment before pulling it close to her. "Wow....doesn't bite."

Remarque laughed softly. "Who am I going to tell? Everyone has bad days. .This just means when you catch me having mine, you're sworn to secrecy yourself."
He watched her maneuver herself and gave her the space she needed to get up without crowding her; his eyes lingered on the crystal with obvious interest. "I'll never get used to Mirrorspace," he mused; he'd spent so long in here and always wound up surprised about something.
Strange, floating crystals was just the newest thing it decided to pitch for to the Court. He had seen several now and still had no idea what they did so when she picked hers up he asked, "What's it feel like? Anything interesting?"

"Like..." Laverna commented, making no promises on not spilling the beans if their Prince had a bad day. While he was low on her list, she couldn't say she wouldn't. "Like...nothing?" Laverna questioned even the word herself as she gazed down at the white stone. She could feel the edges of the stone so something was in her hand, she could even see it there. But what was strange was what she couldn't feel. "It has no weight to it. As if even in my hand it is still floating." Laverna opened her hand and looked at it. If she had thought it was strange before, this just caused her confusion. "To be honest, I have a feeling..." Her hand wrapped around it and she looked at Remarque "This isn't something I should think long and hard on. Mirrorspace will tell us what it wants us to know in time." Walking closer to him, Laverna went up on her toes and through her fabric mask, kissed Remarque on the cheek. "But thank you for humoring a crazy woman's interest. We should get you home."

Remarque listened quietly, pensively, trying to take in anything he could about the strange crystal she’d found. He nodded, but he didn’t feel like he truly understood any of it. They were finding small pieces of a puzzle but they didn’t know what they were putting together. Right now, he wasn’t even sure if they’d ever get the answers they needed, but it wasn’t going to stop him from looking.
He was still considering things when she kissed his cheek, and his nose wrinkled and he made a face at her as he reached to brush at it, as if that would remove all traces it had ever even existed. “You oughta be careful where you put those lips,” he warned. “I’ve got a woman back home and I’m not about to let some scandalous rumors start getting around. But, I’d better get home to her, it is getting late. Mirrorspace gets a little too generous with its mysteries in the later hours of the night and I think we’ve had enough for one day.”

"Oh come on Remarque." Laverna cocked her head as a hand went to her hip. "I'm not here to ruin your spotless reputation. I know Leto has you all to herself. So relax." Rolling her eyes, the young dark mirror began to walk back the way they had come. "It's not like I have on lipstick and covering you with perfume. I was just saying thank you because you mean alot to me and to everyone in the court. We wouldn't be around if not for you." "Besides, if I wanted to cause a scandal, it wouldn't be in the middle of Mirrorspace where no one was around. I would make a point of doing it where everyone could see." "But let's get you home before Ms. Jealous sends out the wrath police. I'd make a poor energy drain target."
