Fai had been fussing over things for at least two hours, Maybe three. Magiore had insisted that the house was fine, that things were clean enough for more then 20 to 30 people living here, that she was okay. She needed to be a bit calmer, Think of the baby, he'd say, and then go do work on all the things she worried about.
She just liked fretting over things. Drake had the children tucked away in classes, and they were possibly discussing a field trips of sorts into the woods where Drake could teach them about some of the herbs, mushrooms and forest resources to look for. Meanwhile, She, herself, was helping a lot of the residents adjust to living with each other. While still working on the house. The roof was a lot less leaky since she drill sergented Drake and Magiore into fixing it up for her, and she managed to get a fancy double oven installed into the kitchen since coming to live there. The double oven would help with the constant cooking of some of the residents. She had, on lay away from another source, ice boxes and refrigerators that she planned to set up in the basement for more food storage. Some of the residents were pitching in to go and retrieve them for her, bless them.
And she was even lucky enough to have Jett Draven (Also known as Prince Remarque..to her and Magiore and Drake only as to keep his prince identity safe) visiting. Which was ALSO another reason she was fretting. Since meeting the prince, he had been a wonderful sponsor and his donations made all the repairs and double oven possible and she couldn't thank him enough.
As she such, the current question that Magiore had to constantly answered and reassure Fai was, "Do you think it looks okay? do you think I look okay? Should we get anything else?" To which he only responded with, "Yes, Yes and No."
So she asked one more time.
"Are you sure I look okay?"xxxxKyuseisha no Hikari /o Thank you for the compliments ahhh I'm glad you like rping with me /whispers thank you fkdsjflkj

"You look fine," Jett said when he entered, catching only the tail end of the questions. Not that he would have said otherwise even if he had thought there was anything wrong with how she looked.
He was always dressed up when visiting, and always treated every meeting like business. His suit was expensive, his haircut (if you could call in that; he still kept it in a low ponytail and hasn't seemed to grow out of the style) was expensive. His presents were expensive.
Because, he always brought presents. It was his little reassurance that should something ever happen and the Negaverse tried to intervene while he was at some safety point, he could play stupid. Right now, after all, he wasn't Prince Remarque of the Dark Mirror Court--he was Jett Draven, businessman. He had a business to run, in war or not, and even antiques were still in style. To those who could afford them.
He didn't think Fai could afford the tea set he'd brought, today, but he'd had it on a shelf for over a year now. He balanced the carefully wrapped box he'd brought it in effortlessly, and offered a brief smile. It wasn't that he was trying to be unfriendly, but he was just so serious when he was working. Or thinking about the Negaverse. "Why do you worry about that so much? I can't think of a time you were anything less than lovely. I have a package for you, though. It's a bit heavy, where can I set this down?

Fai jumped as Jett came in, looking over at the young man. Automatically her hand came up to pat at white curls and to wipe any grime off her face if there was any. Since becoming pregnant, she was a little more aware of things. Too many things. Looks, cleaning. She had been watching her diet. Drinking less caffeinated tea.
"Jett. Hi. Yes Welcome." She smiled at him, laughing a little as Magiore did his thing. Which was stand behind her like guardian, watching Jett carefully. "This is my husband Magiore." she introduced him and then shoo'd the man off to go do something else. Like repair stuff.
"About my looks? ah, I suppose it's just a social behavior after years of being well groomed by my parents. Also because I'm a bit frazzled." She gestured him into the dining room, a large table that sat at least fourteen people filled most of the room up, there was a old cabinet with dishes, which looked like they were stacked their mostly for convenience. At the table were two or three people who looked over at Jett and Fai for a moment before returning to their conversation, laughing lightly and smiling. She wanted to tell Jett that at least two of those three were Chaos orientated, and the other a newly popped senshi. But it seemed silly since the house was full of a rag tag team of people.
"I love presents, no better way to a woman's heart is with a gift." She waggled her fingers eagerly. "And you've given us so much already, I'm grateful you even brought a present." She laughed, "Sorry, gosh I'm so giddy. It's the hormones I tell you. Being pregnant was a lot more different then I imagined." She rattled on like it was normal, and when the gift was left for her to open, she neatly unwrapped it. "Oh..Oh look at this." She stared at it, looking at the beautiful tea set, with it's pristine and old fashioned look. Hers had been chipped and ruined with her rushed moved, of no fault but her own. She reached down to gently touch the pot and tea cups, holding one up and pressing it to her cheek. "It's such a wonderful gift Jett, you've spoiled me."

Jett watched her, another thin smile forming on his lips. "I'm glad to have it going to a good home. I know you'll appreciate it. Besides, when was the last time you spent money on yourself? I sort of figure you put everything you've got into this place. You should be a little spoiled. Especially if you've got a little thing inside of you. When my wife was pregnant," he drifted off, reminiscing. For better or worse, he laughed and shook his head. "It was an experience, that's for sure. I bet you'll be a good mother," he smiled. "I hope by the time you get to experience it, the world is a better place."
That was what they were fighting for; even if it was an unrealistic one at this point in time, he wasn't going to give up. Not when he had a daughter of his own to worry about. He looked around the room, taking in the faces he saw, but he put a fair share of effort into trying to conceal just who he was. He didn't want to get dragged into things like this. Still, he had already injected himself. Now, all he could really do was hope that there were no spies.
"This place is looking...interesting. I like the improvement I've seen. Which reminds me," he reached into a pocket hidden on the inside of his jacket and withdrew a small envelope. It wasn't thick, but when the bills were large, it didn't matter so much. "I didn't have anything smaller lying around, so I'm afraid this will have to do," he said before handing it over. "But, that aside, how is everything going? Any troubles around here?"

"A long long time ago, for personal things. Yesterday we put in the double ovens for the kitchen, which in itself is a gift for myself and the residents. We're thinking of some more fridges and freezer boxes, especially with winter coming up and we can start canning items. I can't wait to can items, we've had really good pickling cucumber and Trisha? She's a dark mirror senshi, she's a absolute goddess with herbs and growing them. Dill and Basil and just a whiz I tell you." she placed the tea set gently back down and laughed.
"I bet it was exciting and terrifying. I'm excited and terrified." She let her hands flutter around before resting at her side. "And I hope so...I really do. I hope am a good mother. I want to be. Ahh.." She laughed again.
"Thank you! Would you like a tour? I'll show you where your hard earned money is going?" She held out her arm as if she was going to escort him and instead extended her hand to take the envelope. "Oh...Oh Jett." she sighed softly, knowing that inside was again, a large donation she didn't deserve. But she would use it for the ice boxes. "Thank you so much, really, you are spoiling me too much. Let me show you around, and I can introduce you to some of the residents." Luckily at the moment, Magiore joined them so she could pass the money off to him. He handle the financials. He gave a brief nod, another look at Jett before disappearing again.

Jett attempted to be humble, but it was a short lived effort; he did not receive thanks very well--or, at least, did not know how to properly express that he appreciated the gratitude. When the money was away and no longer a concern to him, he gestured for her to lead the way. "I would love a tour. But it doesn't have to be anything fancy. I suppose I am just curious to see what you've got going. I am impressed you've been planning so far ahead into the future. Most people are just trying to make it through day by day."
But they thought they could make in until winter--and it was certainly a goal he hoped they could reach. Right now, everything seemed like the calm before the storm. Besides the public announcements, Remarque had not seen the Negaverse pushing for anything--which was strange, given how pushy they had been before.
Now, it felt like they had forgotten about him--and he knew they hadn't. Which made him suspect that they were up to something.
So, he was preparing for the worst. And he hoped everyone else was doing the same.

Fai was oblivious to his discomfort with her thanks, and instead took it with a grain of salt by just assuming that Jett was the strong silent type. He certainly seemed so. "Well, some days, I can't see past the first hour of it. I'll wake up with Magiore and wonder how did I get to this point? Where do I go from here?" She shook her head, "And then I hear some of the residents talking outside my window, some of the kids playing. I can smell breakfast and coffee and the woods outside and instead of wondering about today, I wonder about tomorrow and a week from now." She played with a white curl, looking away from him as she lead him away from the dining room and down a long stretched hallway. Floorboards creaked just a bit, when it was hit on the right spot and groaned a little under their weight. The joys of an old house.
"Drake has been talking about some improvements we'll need to do for his classrooms, here they are..." She shoved at a door that gave at her a bit before sliding neatly away into the wall. Two rooms had been combined with small tables and chairs, a large board set up for the dark mirror senshi.
"We've got 20 kids, give or take at a time. Drakes really been good about combining regular school work with learning about the courts and the negaverse together. I know it seems almost a little unfair, but I figure if we all live in a household with each other, we should all know about sides." She closed the classroom and led him down another room, "And most of the kids share rooms on this floor. Girls are these three here, and boys are these two here." She opened each door, where bunkbeds and forts and all sorts of children's toys and books and gaming systems were thrown about. She looked at him a bit sheepishly. "I should probably ask them to clean up. Maybe after they get back from Quails field."
She opened another door at the end of the hallway. "These are the stairs, One flight down and we get to the basement where all the food storage and extra supplies is. Washer and dryer. Here, let's go upstairs first though." She put her hand on the rail and took the lead up the steps, gliding up them.

Jett followed; he seemed amused so far, and even laughed a it at the mess. "I have a hard enough time dealing with one. I can't imagine more than that. Organization and cleanliness wil become important one day, but for right now...I'm just happy if I'm not stepping on toys in the middle of the night."
His eyes skimmed the room and he sighed. "I'm happy that this place looks like it's doing so well. I really hope all of it pays off." His voice was softer then, as if he might have been experiencing some doubt, but his unrelenting determination to succeed quickly flushed back into his words. "When the Negaverse is gone are you going to keep running this place or settle down with just your family?"

A delicate hand came out to rest on Jett's shoulder, Fai's face one of pity and distress. "Do not, for whatever reason, give children legos. There is no worse pain, no torture the Negaverse can do then a mess of lego's on the floor...." One day, she had to cling to the wall, just to get around the mess of blocks on the floor. With their tiny sharp corners and fkdsljflkdsjf.....
She smiled at him again, the distress easing away and nodding. "I hope so too. I hate the fear that's deep down here..." She patted her chest, "Bu it's not going to ever go away. Not until peace is established, and when will that happen?" She laughed, "I hope it'll happen one day..." Or a day when she'd be rebirthed from the cauldron as someone and something new.
"I don't know." She answered honestly, "A lot of people loss homes, family. What they make here? How could I take that away. I don't mind a big family, and I don't mind everyone here..." She looked at Jett again, "I guess it's something I never thought about, because I never saw it possible. How many more orphans will I find? How many more people who need a roof and somewhere to get a new start? Not just the powered life, but the civilians too." her hand stilled on the beam of the stairs as she stared up at them. "A troubling question even if it wasn't meant to be."

Jett had been amused with the Lego warning, though seriousness was quick to return. While he had not meant to make the topic that of trouble and worry, such thoughts were often on his mind. A part of him was ad that Fai was thinking of it, but a part of him felt bad that he had given her something else to worry about.
"It's going to be fine," he tried to reassure. "If there are more, they are in good hands. If there aren't, that just means there's less sorrow in the world. So, is your boyfriend going into overdrive mode, trying to work things out between the Negaverse and everyone else? I'd be interested to know everything he had to say about them, all the information he could give. Though I suppose you probably wouldn't appreciate my line of questioning." He laughed and shook his head; Remarque could be unpleasant but he worked very hard to maintain a certain appearance.
"I've got some...friends," he struggled with the word, "in the Negaverse. I need to find them, see what they know, but...some of them have been so busy. So scarce. Some, I don't even know what's happened to them," he sighed.

"Husband." She corrected gently, "Magiore is my husband now. And most defenitly into overdrive. Though I suppose it meant a little more...He left the negaverse." Her hand ran along the banister as they hit the second floor, and she held the door open for him. It was more wide spread and larger of a hallway. "I do mind, but Magiore is a big boy. If you want to ask him and he answers, then that's for him." She thought about the sullen and stoic Magiore answering Jett's questions. Probably wouldn't end up good at all. Especially since she was sure that Magiore still considered himself...the 'dog' of the negaverse.
"I've never asked him of his negaverse life, because his hands aren't clean." She laughed a little. Sometimes she worried, sometimes she doubted...But she loved Magiore, so she accepted him no matter what. "If you were to ask, you'd have to do it in a way that meant no harm. No matter the answer he gave." her hand reached out again, resting on Jett's.
"I can ask him." She hated asking Magiore but if it was for Jett, and it didn't cause harm, she could and would. "This is the bedrooms for most of the adults, some of them who want to live alone live outside in tents." She opened a couple of doors, showing him before stopping at her office. "This is my office!"

Jett seemed thoughtful; a part of him wanted very much to engage in conversation with Magiore but another part didn't want to complicate things. If something, for whatever reason, went wrong, he didn't want to drag Fai into the middle of it. Or risk putting a target in his head or something.
"You know I wouldn't hurt him," Jett said, seeming almost amused. "I finish things, these days, but I don't start them."
He couldn't afford to, any more. Every conversation felt like a deal breaker.
"I won't ask for any information that he is reluctant to give. Trying to figure out what to do with the Court has...been a struggle. No one seems to know what to do. We're all trying to find answers and make plans, but..."
There was nowhere to go, nothing to do.
He sighed and changed tones, shifting to a false cheer. "But your office looks great."

"But my office looks amazing." Fai slapped her hands on her hips and just let the peal of laughter rise. "Jett, you are such a fantastic man, from serious to light in the span of the same conversation. No wonder you're such a prince." She breathed in.
"I wouldn't mind you talking to Magiore, I just...am really protective of him of course. He's easily ten times more protective of me too." She gave him her usual sunny smile, because what good was to keep dwelling on the bad. She never asked Magiore about the things he did in Negaverse, because it felt like a taboo. Like she was a traitor for loving him, and still being on the side of order. A side he was often up against. But it was because she loved him, and knew of that side, that she didn't ask.
Maybe Magiore could talk to Jett, get some of it off his chest. That was really for Magiore to decide.
"I don't mind you asking him." She repeated, closing the door of her office, "Because no matter what, I'll still be married to him, and remain friendship with you whether you find out what you want, or find out what you didn't want." She nodded, "I'm kind of stubborn like that. Friends are far and few between, and you've done far more then an ally would."

Jett couldn't help but laugh; he shook his head. "Well, if you're sure you don't mind be bothering your man, I might take you up on that. We'll see what our schedule's are like."
He already knew what his schedule looked like: a never ending wall of tasks that needed tending to. "Your stubbornness is appreciated, but I assure you that I've got not intention of running out now. But," he was quiet for a moment as he collected his thoughts on the matter.
Fai was a good friend. And she was someone he trusted enough, with his money and with his identity. There were few that he could say he could truly put his faith in, but he had no doubt that she was someone he could trust. It wasn't just that she had so much to lose if things turned sour, but it was her, her whole character.
Even in the darkest of times, she was a breath of fresh air, and he needed that every now and then to keep him going.
"…But I appreciate that our friendship was able to grow this much. And if you need anything, don't hesitate to let me know. I don't know…"
He was quiet for a moment longer, only this time he was serious, and a look of worry graced his features for only a second. He looked like he was prepared to divulge something dark, something secret, though as suddenly as it came, the expression disappeared.
He shrugged the thought off and instead finished, "I don't know what the future holds, but one of us has to have everything in order."

"Positive I won't let it bother me." She laughed again, drawing them back downstairs since he had seen most of the house. She didn't want him to see the mess of the third floor which was still being worked on, and refrained from taking him to the back, in case he wanted a break. After all, there was a ton of tents and laundry and negaversers, DMCs and Order aura in their civilian forms outside. They either judged right away or accepted everyone into the fold and never let go. Sort of like Fai did.
"It's a shame I never got a chance to bother you more during these five years, not only for your support, but to also support you as well. Well, we make up for lost time now, isn't that right?" She kept her smile there, because even in dark times, she needed and wanted that positivity. She had help and support and friends and loved ones.
"I don't think you can give me anymore then what you offered! Truly Jett." She watched him carefully, then decided to deepen their friendship, she'd test the walls he kept up. Normally she would be respectful but...time was either short or not ever easy to keep track of here. If any little bit of her could help Jett, she would try.
"Is there something that troubles you Jett? And before you say the war, I mean something you just thought of now?" She poked at his cheek gently, "You're holding back, and that worries me. If I'm worried about you, I won't be able to sleep at night, if I can't sleep at night, I'm going to tire myself out and then I'll be no help at all! So you should probably just tell me." YES TELL HER.
