There was a stillness in the air. Storms had been on and off for over a month now, and the people of Destiny City had become accustomed to this new, strange ‘normal’. The storms were mostly harmless, so it was a minor inconvenience for the most part. Everyone went on with their lives like the world wasn’t about to end. Tonight was different. There was a smothering weight, an uncomfortable tension, like waiting for the knife to drop. It started at sundown, when the last lines of daylight slipped below the horizon and darkness started to settle in. The sun was even visible, briefly. And then the clouds rolled in. There were no bubbling, churning skies. There was a sheet of clouds that looked like a block in the sky, as smooth as stone and as unbreakable. The lights of the city had almost no effect on it, and the unending darkness seemed to swallow up every ounce of illumination. And then the lightning started. No longer did they strike the Earth’s surface like whips from the sky; a thousand orbs began to illuminate from beyond the wall of darkness. The light dripped slowly, passing through the clouds and spreading like paint bleeding down a page. The tendrils spread out, growing like roots through the sky. Sometimes it flickered but it never faded. Lightning burned through the sky, seared through it. Destiny City was still, like the whole planet had drawn in a breath and held it. There was a rumble beneath their feet. The steady, frantic heartbeat of a world in fear. But, there was a message. A summons. It arrived indiscriminately–on Senshi Phones, on a scroll that appeared before each Knight, on Negaverse Tablets, on Vanguardian ComTech, on Dark Mirror Compacts, on Mauvian communication devices. It sent to everyone, and it was all the same: Coordinates, and a time: 11 PM. You know where you need to be, and when.Quote: This ORP is open to all powered characters! Every character would have received a message to invite them to a specific location–just on the outskirts of Destiny City, there is a large clearing. The hill overlooks the city, but more importantly it gives a clear view of the sky. Something has called them here– all of them. If ever there was a time to come together, it is now. The shields have activated; small, flashing lights plead desperately for the open sky. They require no particular effort to release; they are programmed to fly into place. As characters gather in the clearing, they may see the satellites float into the sky like balloons, disappearing behind the clouds. They move quickly, before the net of purple lightning can block their escape. All five spikes recovered from the prison are warm to the touch and hum demandingly, like they are vibrating with energy–and purpose. This ORP will is anticipated to last through Sunday the 27th Monday the 29th, with posts occurring every 48 hours; this will ICly occur on the evening of Saturday the 12th; please be cautious about starting RPs that will ICly occur after that date, as this RP may have lasting repercussions that affect gameplay. This ORP will incorporate dice rolls but players are encouraged to tap into their creativity as well. Your character may be in possession of something that can be used during this RP so please keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to think outside of the box! More information will be provided later. When posting, include your character’s name, rank, and a link to their journal at the top of their post. The next prompt will come at ~8PM EST; there may be some fluctuation when prompts are posted. Characters will be permitted to join throughout the ORP but some prompts cannot be made up after their window closes. You cannot reserve posts. If you make a post, you must write at least one relevant sentence within one hour. Please respect that if you do not fill your post out promptly, players may need to skip over your post; please do not backfill posts after a reasonable window, as this may affect the players who posted after you. The mule may post between event prompts but all event prompts will be logged in this post and updated when posted with summaries to make catching up easier. If you have any questions, please PM The Space Cauldron or DM Xigglet on Discord! Quote: Mule PostsPage 15 - The storm worsens; magical giftboxes manifest before each character. Roll 1d100 [Prompt ends Sunday the 13th at ~8PM EST] Page 29 - A rift has appeared in the storm and carried all characters into a strange domain shared by the Calamitous Hollow; no dice rolls for this round but a new prompt will be posted Tuesday the 15th at ~8PM EST Page 42 - Laurelite introduces major damage to the Calamitous Hollow; the Vanguard has introduced a shield that protected them from falling debris and did some damage to the Calamitous Hollow. The missing 6th spike has been spotted in the creatures tail; it is shrinking from the damage it has taken. All characters should roll 1d100 (excluding players who have a spike) ; [Prompt ends Thursday the 17th at ~8PM EST] Page 57 - The shield holds and Order and the Dark Mirror Court are able to do damage to the Calamitous Hollow; it is now within attacking range. Mabella has acquired the sixth spike. Characters can roll for damage ; [Next post will be ~8PM EST Monday the 21st] Page 71 - Six spikes have been placed but the Calamitous Hollow is now actively attacking; you can still attack it while it's within range but things are getting more dangerous... Page 84 - The Calamitous Hollow is small, but black lightning is violently covering the field and characters have begun to fall to 0HP. The circumstances are dire. [Next post will be ~8 PM EST Sunday the 27th] Page 98 - The Calamitous Hollow has been defeated, but now everyone is trapped within the prison with it--or gone, to some other plane. Still, there is hope, if you know where to find it. [Next post will be ~8 PM EST Wednesday the 30th] Page 106 - The Calamitous Hollow has been defeated and everyone has found a path back to Earth! Things might be safe for now, but who knows what the future holds?

Transcended Eternal Sailor KerberosIt was time. All of their work, all of their effort, everything they had built--it had all come down to this. This moment, this place, the satellites floating into the sky and the culmination of all the effort they had all put in over the last few weeks.
Kerberos's fingers curled around the Mourner's Bloom on his chest, a physical connection to his world. A bolster of strength. A prayer, sent out to the universe that they had done enough. That they were ready.
Whatever happened, it would all end here, one way or another.
The anticipation, perhaps, was the worst part. Kerberos believed in the efforts everyone had put in, all across the city, all across the universe. But waiting to see them come to fruition, and watching that awful, ominous sky...
He searched the field for faces he knew, and hoped. For the moment, that felt like all he could do.Quote: kerberos is open for interaction! heart

Sailor Fang, Eternal Senshi of ChrysocyonTodd felt it in the air. Something was different. His heart hammered in his chest as he looked up to the sky. He didn't have to be powered up to know, suddenly, that this was it. With a small amount of reluctance, because he wasn't sure if he'd be back to finish it, he set down his latest crochet plushie on his bed and stood. He took a deep breath and headed downstairs, out the door, and powered up in a small cluster of trees. Fang stepped forward. His phone buzzed immediately and he glanced at it, snorting. Obviously something was happening. He wasn't sure who had sent the message, because he didn't care to scrutinize the message. Tail bristling behind him, ears pinned to his head, he sprinted. He probably should have saved some of his energy, but he needed to get there. He had to get there and witness this entire thing, start to finish. He wouldn't let Earth fall. Miraculously, he wasn't even out of breath as he arrived, finding Kerberos already there and coming over to greet him. "Kerb," he said simply, looking up. "Time for big scary." He couldn't help a tiny little smile, despite the seriousness of the situation. "Big scary" was putting it lightly, even for Fang, who rarely used larger words. Noir Songbirdx fang is also open for others interacting!

General King JetJet held his breath as he watched the sky, arms crossed over his chest. He didn’t know what the orbs of light were, but as the light dripped slowly through the clouds, his stomach twisted into anxious knots.
Did no one else see what was happening? Were they all oblivious to the terror that was coming for them?
But he knew they would fight. They would hold the line. They would push this creature back beyond the stars and reclaim Earth as their own. Their birthright.
“It’ll all be over soon,” he said to those who gathered near him. He would protect his allies for as long as he could, but they all knew that returning the serpent to its prison or destroying it completely were their only options if they wanted to survive the night. Commodore LyndinCommodore Lyndin towered above the majority of the group, but even if he hadn’t been over seven feet tall, he would have had presence enough to demand attention. There was a confident stoicism about him and whether it was performative or authentic, it was effective.
The Vanguard was not obligated to participate in this. They had the opportunity to evacuate if they saw fit.
Lyndin could have left, too.
And yet, here he was.
His eyes were not on the crowd, but the sky, and he watched in silence. He was here as a guest. Whether or not any of them had reason to accept his presence was irrelevant; they were better off with him than without. Quote: Lyndin is open for interaction

General King AxiniteRare was it that Axinite left his desk, and rarer even was it that he did so with intention to fight. The stakes were too high to sit back and trust that the White Moon could do anything. Axinite was, unsurprisingly, pale. His expression was otherwise unreadable, but he was not known for his delight on the battlefield. He surveyed the growing numbers silently. The tip of his axe was just slightly nudged into the soft dirt and he leaned against it, not so much that he wasn’t still standing straight. General King LepidoliteNext to him, Lepidolite had the heavy end of his hammer dug two inches into the ground and he leaned against it with nearly all of his weight. He seemed unimpressed by this. There were a thousand places he’d rather be than here, but if he wasn’t here then they might not exist tomorrow. General Queen HessoniteA glint in her eyes, Hessonite stared across the field with hawkish eyes, skimming eagerly. She stood a few feet from Lepidolite and Axinite but they had arrived together. Her weapon–a giant pair of scissors, was strapped to her back. She could summon them to her at any point in time. There were faces she recognized here, faces she wanted to remove, but there was a practicality in patience. She could wait. She wanted this over as much as anyone else, but not one to waste an opportunity, she summoned her camera from subspace. Weather like this was once in a lifetime–hopefully–and she was going to make a memory out of this. A good one, hopefully. Quote: Axinite, Lepidolite, and Hessonite are all open for interaction

Commander AliezAliez shifted nervously in place. He could see the sky, could see the light dripping down like paint from a dark blanket of clouds. His heart was racing. He wanted to be home, on Velencya. With all of his friends and family. With the rest of the Vanguard. Even with Caedus.
He anxiously fiddled with his bracer, making sure the shield was calibrated correctly. He didn’t want to lose a chance to defend himself or others.
But Lyndin was there. Vyn was there. His other friends and fellow Vanguard were there, and he had a fierce desire to keep them safe.
“Have you ever seen anything like this before, Commodore?” he asked quietly, standing near enough Lyndin to make sure he could hear him, and vice versa, but also give him enough space if he needed to move quickly.

Coco guardian cat, human form unlocked Coco had been waiting for this she had been waiting for more information about the storm. She wanted to help and she hoped Tea would come help too. She looked around for her friend and other knights and senshi that she knew. She also looked for other guardian cats that she knew. She looked at all the figures that were arriving. She was amazed at the energy she felt in the area. They had been summoned to the outskirts of the city and the shields were working for now she hoped they would hold. She wondered what they were going to have to do what could they do to save the world? (Open for interaction)

Andronicus Knight of Uranus
On the edge of the hill, sliding her hood off her head as she approached, Andronicus frowned at the purple sky above her. It was always something in Destiny City, it always had been something in Destiny City. It was a very weird nexus of power. There was no reason for it to be centered here of all places, not with the Surrounding or Olympus or The Moon, even. And yet, this was the place all these souls kept being reborn to.
The brush of not one, not two, but four General Kings had her summoning her staff subconsciously. She planted the pommel into the dirt and held it as though it would bring her some sort of comfort or support. She pulled her gaze from the heavens to those that were gathering. Her eyes landed on Lyndin for a moment, eyebrows raising a little. After that whole... debaucle with Caedus some years ago, she'd thought the Commandore was very anti-Earth. Yet here he was, too.
The ground rumbled under her feet and she looked back at the sky. The storms themselves had been odd, had been concerning, but when she'd started looking through the database of information on the phenomenon... That a world eater was coming? No matter how jaded, no matter how frustrated with the state of the war and the world she was, she couldn't not come to defend her home. Even if it cost her knighthood. Even if it cost her life.
Now all she could do was wait.

Super Sailor Chibi Saiph
Saiph felt her stomach flop unpleasantly. She’d snuck out with Cuan’s help and made her way to the coordinates given. But now, as she stood in the clearing, watching as others showed up, she wondered if any of them would make it out of this alive. Cuan rested in her arms and she felt the kitten purr encouragingly.
“Look, the satellites have launched.”
Saiph obligingly looked up and watched as a swarm of little lights flew into the sky. She couldn’t see them stopping the Hallow completely, but maybe… maybe it would help enough. But whether they did or not, Saiph wondered how much, if any difference, her being here could make.
Sailor Iapetus
Iapetus had been re-reading the database when the summons had come. She’d planned for an early night but it looked like that wouldn’t be the case. Hell, this might be the last night she’d ever have and if that was the case, she was going to make it count.
The senshi of ruthlessness had made her way to clearing where everyone else was beginning to gather. Looking up, she watched the sky, her face settling into a grim frown. Would the satellites be enough? Would the spikes or anything that they’d done to prepare? She had no way of knowing, but as she looked around and felt the various auras surrounding her, she found herself hoping. Just a little. They were all going to work together. That had to count for something, surely?
Mauvian Cuán Oileán
From her perch within the arms of her senshi, Cuan felt pride swell up. She could feel Saiph trembling, but her girl had still come out and would fight. She was facing her fears and that, Cuan thought, was all anyone could reasonably ask. As she watched the sky with bright eyes, the little lykoi wondered what the night would bring.
Clambering from Saiph’s arms to perch upon her shoulder, the kitten continued to watch the sky closely. The way the lightning seemed to bleed across the sky was more than a little alarming. She could only hope it wasn’t interfering with the satellites.
Corrupt Super Sailor Ilmarë
As she arrived with others from the Negaverse, Ilmare thought that, perhaps, she should have felt some comfort at seeing the General Sovereigns. After all, they were supposed to be the strongest and best that the Negaverse had to offer. Instead, the sight terrified her because of the implications. How bad must things be for all of them to be here. What she wanted, more than anything, was to go and find any chibi senshi that might have answered this summons and take them off somewhere where they’d be safer. Not completely safe because there wasn’t any such thing, not anymore. Just somewhere… safer. Instead of following this impulse, the corrupt senshi stood with her fellows and waited. And watched.

Lacaille super senshi of booksLacaille had been waiting for this after going to the moon and helping to figure out how to talk to the queen she was waiting for them to have a chance to find a way to save their world. She looked around shocked at the senshi, knights and every of other faction called to this. Then again she supposed this effect them all if there was no world there was nothing for anyone. So it made sense that they all were invested in this. She looked for senshi and knights she might know. She didn't know many or at least she didn't think she did. She was with Coco since Coco lived with her and they had a connection as senhi and guardian cat.

Captain BrassiteThe pull and invitation wasn't like, unexpected. So when Brassite arrived to the tune of, "Holy s**t!" It was in response to seeing four general sovereigns and a giant blue ice elf all in one place at the same time. She was immediately distracted from whatever world ending superbad storm monster thing they were gonna face. Instead of a proper salute and greeting, the teen agent had her tablet out and was posing for a selfie that captured all five figures in the background. She threw out a victory sign as she took the picture, and right away sent it to Faustite. And then to Cryptobro xAmor Remanet text: this is so ******** red carpet rn Then she tried taking a bit closer, nicer picture of Boss Babe Icon: General Queen Hessonite. xThe Space Cauldron just stealth pics for motivation

Corporal CaelynaCaelyna's scythe sat heavy in her hand. She had yet to need to use it in truly serious combat; she had trained and practiced, certainly, but this was...different. This was a threat to a world that she had come to have a surprising amount of affection for, even given all that it had shown her of its darkness. Even though it was the place where Velyria had died.
She stood with her fellows, by Lyndin and Vyn and Aliez, and though she kept silent for the moment, her eyes were on the skies.
The enemy approached. They had to be ready.

Bifrost Transcendant Knight of Chronos
The Calamitous Hallow was coming. She'd known it would be, she'd read the signs, but to actually have it happen? It set her blood cold.
Bifrost crested the hill, shield materializing golden light, and glanced around the group. That they all seemed to have received the same message regardless of what side of the war they cleaved to. Would it be enough though... A world eating monster, coming from beyond the depths of space (or maybe a different reality, she was a little confused on the notes on that) was headed straight for Earth. To consume it and move onto the next.
The Surrounding would not save them. Queen Serenity could not save them.
Only they could save themselves and this world they called home. Regardless of alterer motives or alliegences or morals. If the Calamitous Hallow consumed the world, they'd all die. Still, Bifrost eyed the General Sovereigns warily, if only because her transcendence markings felt like they were glowing brighter in response to their presence.
She settled herself towards the middle of the hill and rolled her shoulders. She was the Gatekeeper of the Bifrost. She would hold the line until the very end.

Commander Andreiya
Andreiya sulked to the clearing. He didn’t want to be there.
Commodore Lyndin had offered them an escape. He said they could leave. He wouldn’t trap them here.
They could go home.
For a while, Andreiya had humored the thought. He dreamed of home, of his family, of normalcy.
And then he’d tucked those dreams away because there was work to do. He had his plants. Dylas. Steve. He had friends–sort of, they were humans so he wasn’t entirely sure how that worked out. There were places he liked here. Things.
Caedus was still here.
Commodore Lyndnin wasn’t leaving.
Andreiya, obviously, was staying.
And–thankfully, there were other members of the Vanguard already in attendance.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted them, and beelined for the cluster by Commodore Lyndin.
