Ara leapt onto the youma's back locking her arm's around the monster's neck. She arched her back bending her legs back and drove her knees into into the youma's back, she repeated this a few times until the monster turned to dust. She dropped to the floor rather ungracefully, she would have to work on her landing.
It was then that she felt the aura nearby, an eternal dark mirror senshi. She hoped the blond man hadn't seen her fall on her butt like that. She scrambled to her feet.
"Um hello Mr. Dark Mirror." She said a bit nervous, sure the few dark mirror she had meet had mostly been nice but at the same time they had been driven mad by their own wraith. The princess being crazy and angry was really scary, she didn't like when adults got super angry like that.
"I'm Sailor Ara, what's your name?" She asked politely.

Remarque was used to seeking out the energy signatures of nearby Senshi but there was just something about Chibi Senshi that made him wary. He wasn’t particularly fond of the idea of children fighting in the war—more so now than before if only because he had a small child.
There was nothing to do about the ones that had already awaken; it wasn’t like you could convince or scare them into not powering up—especially if you wanted them to like you or give the Court a chance. It was easier to win them over when they were young and open minded, at least. He had heard a scuffle nearby and thought he might check it out. He was careful to keep his distance, but planned to intervene if he needed to.
Instead, it seemed like the chibi was doing well enough to take out the youma on her own.
“Hello,” he responded. “It’s nice to meet you, Ara. I am Remarque, Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry. That was pretty impressive,” he said, nodding to the fading cloud of dust. He didn’t comment on her landing, but now that they were speaking he didn’t bother to keep distance between them. He approached and politely held out his hand.
She was so incredibly small compared to him; he couldn’t imagine any child so tiny out here, wanting to fight. “Where did you learn to do that?”

Tiny hands clasped around the offered hand and shook. She had to crane her neck back to look up at the tall man, he was big like her daddy though maybe not quite as big.
"Hi mr. Remarque! Puppetry, that's like the little dolls on strings you can make move" she pantomimed moving a puppet. "Or like the big dollies that people can make talk. That's cool, I'm the senshi of Illumination. Nice to meet cha'." She grinned brightly.
"I've been in a lot of big battles." She boasted proudly. "Like once I helped fight a giant youma who was breaking a power plant because general pansy cane ordered him to. I also destroyed a gaint wraith." She mimicked using her magic.
"I even meet your princess, miss Leto, though she became really scary cause the wraith made her crazy. I tried to help stop her but I wasn't able to do much." She said a bit glum over that.

Remarque found himself nodding at Ara’s words; he withdrew his hand when she was finished shaking. “Leto, huh?” he prompted. He hadn’t seen the woman in a bit, but it didn’t surprise him that she would have gotten scary—wraith or otherwise. Crazy was sort of Leto’s thing.
“I wouldn’t be too upset about not being able to stop her. She’s a lot stronger than you and is sort of a little stuck in her ways. That you did your best is probably enough. You sound like you’ve been busy, Ara.”
Too bad she was so young; the Dark Mirror Court could have used some more active members. “Busier than most of the Senshi I know. Where do you get all the energy to do all of that, hmm? I can’t imagine it’s easy for a Chibi Senshi to stand up against everyone else. You’re being careful, aren’t you?”

"Yeah she was incredibly strong! Like she felt almost as powerful as the giant youma. I wish one day I could be powerful like that but I can't even imagine how. It was like she was on a whole other level." Ara said nodding her head in agreement. The woman's power was frightening but also awe inspiring.
She blush at the compliment and twirled back on forth on her toes. "I'm trying to be hero just like the Greek legends. I know I'm a lot smaller than everyone else but that just means I need to work twice as hard. I need to be faster and smarter than everyone else just like odysseus."
"Um yeah I'm trying to be careful. If I got hurt my mummy might find out and then she might make us move back to England which would be very bad." She said with a definite shake of her head.

Remarque found himself nodding as though he were deeply engrossed in her story; Ara was nowhere near as young as his daughter but it was strange how having a young child around suddenly made you suddenly adjust how you talked to all children.
“You’ve got a while to get there,” he reassured. “And trust me, that much power comes with a lot of headaches, so enjoy what you’ve got now.”
Life had been a lot simpler back when he was just a basic Senshi, but he wouldn’t have gone back to that. He liked his power, even if it meant he lost sleep at night.
“You like Greek Legends?” he asked after a few seconds; he wasn’t a huge fan himself, but he’d seen enough antiques at the store to have done adequate research on Greek mythology. “They’ve got some pretty good heroes. Some pretty weird ones, too, though.”
Lot of dicks in ancient Greece, but he wasn’t about to say that to a kid.
“Did you awaken here, or in England?”

Ara nodded her head she definitely felt like it must take a long time to reach that kinda power, after all she was way stronger than even an eternal. She then looked up at Remarque a confused look on her face, she had assumed he was speaking literally. "Her power gives her headaches? That's not good, poor miss Leto." Ara hated headaches, they were no fun. Maybe the wraith just made it worse and that was why she attacked everyone.
Then she thought of something. "How do you know that? Are you good friends with ms. Leto?" Scylla had seemed to know the woman pretty well but they were clearly not friends but maybe this senshi was her friend if she was telling him about her headaches.
"Uh huh." She said bouncing on her toes. "My daddy used to read me them before bed time. My favorite heroes are Odysseus and Achilles."
"Here, I was walking home from the playground when I saw a poor kitty trapped in a tree by some mean dogs so I chased them away and then the kitty spoke, he gave me my pen. How did you awaken mr. Remarque?"

Remarque tilted his head just slightly to get a better look at Ara. “No,” he answered slowly, “What I mean is—”
No, maybe it wasn’t worth trying to explain it. “Never mind, about the headache thing. I just mean that it can be a lot of pressure when you’ve got all that power. A lot of people rely on you and you usually have a lot on your shoulders. Leto and I share that responsibility, so sometimes it comes with a few headaches. Leto and I, though. We’re friendly enough.”
They tolerated each other, but he wasn’t sure if he’d call them friends. If he needed someone to watch his back, she was better than nothing—and they both had the best interest of the Court at heart, and sometimes that was the most important thing.
“But I think, I awakened a little differently than you. I had a mirror thrown at me,” he shrugged. “It’s a long story. A group of us had been abducted, trapped in space. Ares and her troop came out of the mirror and I went through it. But that was a long time ago.”

Her mouth form a little 'O' as she understood what the man was trying to say. Her daddy could get like that too with his work. "Oh I think I get what you mean."
"You two share the responsibility?" Then her brain connected the dots. "Are you prince?!" She squealed excitedly.
"But wait you don't feel like ms. Leto did, how come your aura isn't giant like hers?" She asked curious
Her brow furrowed in confusion, how did having a mirror thrown at you awaken powers. She thought you needed a pen to do that. "Wow someone kidnapped you into space, that must have been scary. I've been to space before but only to other planets and I was never forced to go there."
"So who is Ares, is she a princess too?"

“My aura isn’t giant like hers because I’m not a showoff,” he answered, but that was fairly far from the truth. The truth was, when it came down to it, he could be every bit as showy as Leto. He just wasn’t, now. “We can shift between forms, but it takes a lot of energy—and you can feel the difference. It’s a very strong energy signature, and I don’t always like to broadcast where I am, what I’m doing. Most people wouldn’t come up and talk to me if they felt that power right off the bat. And,” he shrugged. “I like to talk.”
Though, even being an Eternal Senshi was sometimes a deterrent for the weaker Senshi, he still persisted. It helped having mirrors lying around town and knowing how to take shortcuts to reach them before they could run.
Only to talk, though. For the most part.
The Dark Mirror Court was in dire need of new members, and he would recruit whoever he could, wherever he could.
For as much as he liked to talk, though, it was never easy to discuss Ares.
“Ares is a princess, sort of. She’s not exactly around anymore. She went off to do her own thing,” he said, which was half a lie and half truth. He didn’t know what happened to her and she didn’t exactly leave anyone a memo of what she was doing or when she’d be back. They’d made the best of it, though.
“You’ve been into space?” he asked. “Where have you been so far?”

"Oh it's like a sneak mode. So everyone doesn't know you're a prince I get it." She said nodding her head sagely. It made sense, if bad people knew he was prince then they would gang up on him.
"Huh weird." She stated plainly with a shrug of her shoulders. "That seems kinda irresponsible shouldn't a princess stay and help her court."
She perked up at his question.
"Well first I went to this really pretty ocean world called Elysion. Sadly it didn't have any ghosts of heroes but it was still really pretty." She explained giddily.
"And then I went to my constellation Ara, it was so pretty and warm. It had a supper shiny city with these white walls and alot of gold and pretty stones. But no one was there anymore . I saw some visions that I think were my past life."

It wasn’t like Remarque had any issue complaining about Ares, but it seemed a little less worthwhile when his conversation partner for the evening was a child. He listened intently, impressed that even a Senshi that small could get to her homeworld without issue. “I haven’t heard of Elysion. Atleast,” he shrugged, “In our world.”
Lore was different; he was familiar with myths.
“Your constellation sounds beautiful. I’m a bit envious of your ability to head into space.”
He sighed and planted his hands on his hips as he looked up at the sky again. “I miss it. I haven’t really been into space in a long time. But, when I was, I liked looking up at the stars. You’d better get a good view up there.” He winked, for good measure, and added, “And if you ever need company on one of your trips up there, keep me in mind. What sort of visions of your past life did you get to see while you were up there?”
He’d been up with enough Senshi to know what it looked like to get flashes from another life.
He’d never had any himself, but it didn’t stop him from being curious about theirs.
