It was a knee-jerk reaction, each time she felt a Chaotic aura. Fight or flight, always the negative, always the sickening sensation in her gut that made her skin crawl and her muscles tense. This one had an additional sickening realization, when the energy signature hit her.
Metis paused on the rooftop, turning her attention to where the strong waves of energy leaked into her field of vision, and for a horrible... horrible moment. She ran, without thought or reason, she ran towards the source. It felt wrong, it felt so wrong.
But it'd been so long since she'd seen Iris.
Feeling the energy signature of a Royal... please no please no please no. Her thoughts were a jumble, fearful and panicked. It'd been so long. Was it because she'd been... but how? How could a Royal be taken by Chaos? She thought... she was so sure they would be safe.
The Royal energy signature faded, replaced with a weaker, yet still strong, Eternal, and Metis pressed on, hoping to still find the senshi. Entering the quiet park, she felt for sure she was going to puke. Her breaths were coming out in sharp puffs, the cold nipping at the moisture at the rims of her eyes. "Iris? Iris, is that you?"
It was so stupid to call out like that, to search so... so blindly for someone. But what if it was her? What if that's why she hadn't contacted Metis? If she was taken by Chaos... but this wasn't the feeling of a corrupt senshi. This didn't feel like Victoria's energy. It felt... wrong?
She looked at the energy waves, followed them, searched for the figure in a panic. Static. The same copper energy with silver tendrils as a White Moon Senshi, but the tendrils flickered and shifted as if... as if under static. She faltered, unsure of what this was, only really sure she saw White Moon energy, but with a Chaos aura.
"Iris..?"

Remarque had been keenly aware of the energy signature tearing its way towards him; meandering around in his Prince form was a beacon to everyone, so when he realized that the energy signature seemed to be headed straight for him, he'd powered down to Eternal Sailor Remarque, hoping to dissuade it.
...Only, the transformation did nothing.
He had the option to find a mirror and exit, or to power down and disappear off the radar.
But, he didn't. Instead, he made himself comfortable and faced the direction the Energy signature was coming from. When a Senshi he didn't recognize burst into his vision, he didn't think much of it--until she called out someone else's name.
His eyes narrowed as he examined her. "You are mistaken," he said after a second. "I am Remarque. Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry." He took one look at the Senshi; something still just seemed off. He chanced what sounded like a genuinely concerned, "Are you all right?"

Wrong figure. Wrong stance. Wrong voice. Wrong energy. Wrong everything.
Super Sailor Metis visibly slumped, her shoulders losing their fearful tension, and replaced with distress. Her gloved hands wrung, fingers now and then skimming the star on her brooch, the one she knew came about from her connection to the Asteroids. "I-I apologize," she stammered, manners kicking in before anything else. Dark Mirror Senshi? She'd heard of them, but--
"D-do you have anything to do with the... the Blood Moon Court?" Again, something else she'd heard of, but only in passing, only distantly. It'd been years. Just rumors that went about now and then, whispers that meant little to her. "I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with those of your group... and your energy is very, very strange. It looks like static." She was rambling, and she knew it, but it was keeping her from crying and that was all Metis was really aware of. It didn't matter if nothing she said made little sense. It was better than breaking down into a blubbering mess because she missed her friend and she had no proof to say she wasn't just dead.
But his question, his concerned voice, made her pause. The brunette tipped her head a little, taking in a slightly shaky breath. "I... I suppose I'm not. I'm very sorry, I just... I thought I felt a Royal. But it felt wrong. A dear... dear friend of mine, is a Princess. I thought maybe..."

"Blood Moon?" Remarque repeated with obvious disdain. "No. That was Ares' group. We have nothing to do with her, sans her affiliation with our own Court. But she's gone and has no influence on us."
It was meant to reassure her; she did not seem comfortable with the Blood Moon Court--and who would be? Even the stories passed to him filled him with contempt.
"I am sorry I am not your friend. I haven't seen any Royals on your side, for quite a time."
Sans Castor, but he wasn't about to advertise that.
He wanted dearly to ask what she meant about his energy but he refrained, if only to offer a touch of comfort.
"If it is any consolation, though, I've not heard of any Princesses joining either the Negaverse or the Dark Mirror Court. Nor have I heard of any of them being defeated. What is her name? I'll keep an eye out for her, if I can. And if I find her, I'll say that you're looking for her. Though--I do not think I caught your name."
