Albireo was very tired. She had been up for nearly a day and a half helping to attend to the unconscious two that had been brought in.

Of course, with those people, there wasn't much that really could be done, but the Senshi did her best. She glanced over at the blonde girl that had come in earlier that day and was now curled up on the edge of the male's bed. How cute.

...It only made Albireo miss Merric even more than she already did.

Still though, she pulled the blankets up tighter on the male, giving a soft sigh, wishing she had gone home...babysitting sleeping civilians wasn't what she had signed up for. Not at all.

Oh well. Maybe something exciting would happen soon.

Jett had never had a recurring dream. Hell, he rarely dreamed, but when he did, it was never of anything lucid. Sometimes he’d dream of things that had happened during the day, or there was a nagging voice in the back of his head reminding him of things he hadn’t done or needed to do.

Sometimes he dreamed of shadows and might wake up in a cold sweat, but nightmares were few and far between, and often were far less remarkable than his dreams. Maybe he’d have a handful of dreams a month—but this had been nonstop.

It was a strange sleep; like he was ready to wake up but never could, no matter how many times his dreams started and ended. It wasn’t even a good dream, just an odd one, yet it played in his head so many times that he memorized it. Memorized voices, outfits, dialogue. The dream made little sense to him—it seemed like something out a fantasy. He had assumed, when a bit of lucidity came to him, that it was just everything that had happened earlier meshing together. The pools in his dream looked similar to the ones he’d passed while walking through the surrounding, and the clothes people were wearing could have been influenced by the odd garb of the senshi he’d seen. And the fruit? Ah, who knew. He was probably just hungry.

Waking up was harder than it should be; he could vaguely remember nagging thoughts—brief glimpses of salamanders and Raven screaming, but it was never enough to rouse him. Surprisingly, it was a taste in his mouth that had him waking up.

His lip twitched first and his head jerked just slightly. He rolled his tongue over his teeth and his first conscious thought was that he really shouldn’t have thrown his tooth brush at the whale.

Jett’s arm felt heavy when he reached up to rub at his eyes; they felt stuck together. His coordination was off and he almost missed his eyes when he went to rub them. His mind was slow to return; even when awake, the dream seemed to haunt him.

When he removed his hands from his eyes, he blinked up at the ceiling, trying to clear the blur from his eyes and figure out where he was.

…It wasn’t a place he recognized.

In fact, none of this looked familiar. His body hardly felt refreshed; his mind was sluggish and his body felt phenomenally heavy.

--And then, like a flash of lightning, he bolted upright. The last thing he remembered was the salamander attacking he and Raven, but the first person he saw was a complete stranger. His eyes flickered over her and, judging by the ensemble, his mind told him it was one of the senshi.

Raven was at the foot of his bed—alive? All right, good. That meant they were safe.

…Or dead.

On edge, Jett looked at the female in front of him. “What is this?” he demanded; there was no malice, merely confusion and distress.

Albireo gave a little sigh. Well, there went her boring evening. Though, he woke up, that was very good. Promising.

The senshi gave a smile. "Well, welcome back to the living world. My name is Sailor Albireo, Senshi of Swans, I've been watching over you for the past few days...You've been unconscious for quite some time." She glanced to the still sleeping girl on Jett's bed.

"She was worried about you, she's been in several times, but she was tired, and decided to nap a few hours ago."

Jett looked at Raven and then shook his head; his heart was throbbing painfully in his chest as the adrenaline racked through him. His body felt like instead of blood, he had lead coursing through his veins. "...She should be in her own bed," he said slowly, glancing back up at Albireo after a few seconds. He was relieved that she was still alive--and in one piece--but made a note to chastise her when she woke up.

"I've been unconscious?" he asked, more interested in what had happened than exchanging names with the girl who was watching over him. "...How long was I out for?"

He didn't want to sound like an idiot by asking what happened to actually knock him out--he'd save that question for Raven. His memory faded after he'd kicked the glowing sac, but since they were both here--that meant that they'd both made it out alive?

...He was quite interested to hear just how that had happened.

The senshi gave a small smile. "You've been out for three days, sir. I'm very glad you woke up...we were starting to wonder if you'd ever wake again..."

She trailed off, then gave a small shrug, before reaching down, pulling out a tooth brush. "I didn't bring much from home, but I brought this. I have a ton, so, here. I guess your mouth would be really, really dry after sleeping for so long..."

Albireo laughed. "I told her to take a bed of her own...but she just wanted to be close to you, I finally caved."

Jett’s eyes lit up at the sight of the toothbrush; it wasn’t his own, but it was looking amazing right now. “Thanks,” he said, ignoring her comment about Raven. The girl was daft; she should have taken this senshi up on her offer. “…It’s like you read my mind,” he added suspiciously a second later, though hardly sounded serious.

“…Has much else happened around here while I was out?”

…Three days seemed like such a long time to be unconscious in a place with as much action as here; he was surprised they hadn’t been eaten in that time.

Rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, Jett sighed. “…So, you’ve been sitting here, keeping an eye on me all this time? …No offense, but that sounds a bit creepy. If I was just sleeping, what’s it matter? So I slept in some. Everyone does it.”

Not for three days—Jett considered that a bit weird—but, still. It didn’t seem that bad. Just odd.

"Don't flatter yourself, sir."

He was very rude. He hadn't even given his name yet.

"I was attending to everyone who has been in the medical ward. I'm not an active fighter, so they left me here. Besides. I've been making sure you stayed hydrated and everything, you should be thanking me, to be honest."

What a jerk.

"Also, not much has happened, I don't think there have been any other attacks since..."

Wow, what was it with women jumping down his throat. He stared at her for a second and then a slow smile grew onto his face. He stifled a yawn and waved indifferently. "I did say thanks," he reminded, waving the toothbrush between his fingers.

He was sore and tried to work out some of the kinks in his back by hunching forward a bit. He rested the toothbrush on the bed in such a way that the bristles were facing up and moved a hand to start massaging his shoulder.

"But if you need me to say thanks again, sure. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate it," Jett said, giving her a look; he held out a hand to shake. "...Just kind of confused about all of this. One minute I was over by Aquarius, then I'm through a hole in the wall with some salamander groping me? ...Still trying to connect the dots. I'm Jett. And thanks for keeping me 'hydrated and everything'. Do you have a name, or do I need to be calling you 'Your Majesty'?" he asked in a slightly dry tone; she must have been spending too much time with Raven if she was going to act this prissy.

"I did tell you my name, I suppose you just didn't listen."

She rubbed at her eyes, clearly tired. "I'm sorry for snapping. It's just been a long couple of days. Again, I'm Sailor Albireo, Senshi of Swans. It's a pleasure."

She frowned. "You were taken out of a building when you were attacked? Wow...I thought that was just someone over exaggerating again...There have been so many rumors...but I really thought people would be safe inside the buildings..."

She was so going home...As soon as she could...

Jett watched her for a moment, suspicious. Sailor Albireo? That was actually a name? Because, he’d have tossed himself off a cliff if his mother had it in her to name him ‘Sailor’. Sleep clogged his mind, so he settled that it had to be some sort of nickname. The senshi so far hadn’t been of much help with information, so he just ignored it.

“…Yeah, I was still waking up when you introduced yourself. My mistake,” he said, relaxing now that she seemed less agitated. Speaking about the attack made him glance at Raven instinctively. “Still…not entirely sure what happened. I only remember some of it,” he grumbled, wishing he had a better recollection of exactly what had happened. Everything moved so quickly that it was almost painful to try and break it down. “Those things, though. They left? They didn’t hurt anyone else, right? I mean, Raven’s still alive, so the way I see it…something had to happen to get them to leave…Did one of you show up and finish that thing off or something?”

"No, from what I've been told, they ran off and Raven called for some help due to you falling unconscious."

The senshi moved around, fixing up some things around the room, and covering Raven in a thin blanket.

"I don't know what happened to them, all I know is they attacked you, and you were brought here..."

People kept expecting her to know more than she did, and she wished she could answer more of their questions...it was just really difficult to.

Jett watched her; he ran his tongue over his teeth again and knew that he desperately needed to brush them, but this scout had done a lot for him, and he was grateful. "...That sounds about right," he said; he sat up a bit more, hunching forward. Running his fingers through his hair, he drew in a breath--releasing it in the form of a long sigh a few seconds later. He massaged his temple, images of his dreams flashing through his mind again.

"...So...the Surrounding," he said after a long moment. "...Did it always look so run down, or...do you know if it was ever, like...inhabitable? Like, say--those big puddles between the, uh, the Leo outpost and the Virgo one? Were they ever...you know. Were they ever pretty to look at?"

...Wow. Way to sound like a complete idiot. Like Albireo didn't already think him fool enough, Jett was confident that this wasn't going to help; he sounded like an idiot. It was a dream--why the hell did he even need to ask about it?

Albireo shrugged. "I honestly...have no idea...but...I think It used...I think that the Zodaic Senshi might have lived here before? You know, in the past and all..."

She shook her head. "I'm still new at the whole Senshi business...I wish I could tell you more...I'd like to learn more...why? Just curious?"

It was a very strange thing to ask, after all. Were they pretty to look at? She didn't know. She had been here for less time than he had.

Jett was quiet for a moment, trying to decide how ridiculous it sounded and if he wanted to share his dream. Albireo hadn't made fun of him, so that was a good start. Finally, slowly, he started speaking.

"...I just kept having this weird dream. It sounds stupid. I know it does. I don't dream much," he informed, running his hand through his hair as he spoke, trying to find some way to describe the dream into words. "...But it looked like those pools. With people, in weird clothes. Eating weird fruit. And I just kept having that dream, over and over and over. It's all I've thought about, I guess, since I...got to asleep. I don't know," he shrugged and shook his head as if to clear the thoughts. "...Don't feel bad for not having answers. Nobody else seems to have them, anyway. It was just a dream, it doesn't matter."

She blinked, then nodded slowly.

"That is very strange...I'll...I'll see if I can talk to one of the zodiacs about it...if they're not to busy to lend an ear. You said it was people sitting at the pools...eating fruit?"

That really was a strange dream...but, this was Space, after all. Anything could happen.

"If I find any answers, I'll be sure to find you again, okay? Where are you staying at? Which base?"
