Sometimes, even if you were mad at someone…sometimes you just had to put that anger aside and suck it up. Lenka was itching to get back to her asteroid, but she didn’t want to go alone…honestly, she wanted to keep trying to be friends with Remarque…so…so maybe she’d invite him. But just this once. And just because she wanted to not be too lonely.
The chibi went into the park as she had the last time she found the Dark Mirror Senshi and sighed, leaning against the tree. Well. Maybe he’d just show up. Maybe he’d just…appear because she was willing him to.
Either that or she would have to start yelling again.
Lenka waited a good five minutes…maybe even somewhere close to seven minutes, and still no Remarque. The girl sighed heavily then drew in a deep breath, finally shouting at the top of her lungs. “Remarque! I want to talk to you again! I promise I might not hit you on the head this time maybe! I still hate you though! Come out, come out, wherever you are!” There. She was so good at what she did. So good indeed.

Old habits died hard. Raven might have hidden his pen far too well for him to accidentally find, but it didn't keep him off the streets at night. He had already had a productive day, between discussing prospective apartments with Raven and school and work, but he still felt a bit restless. He'd decided a walk wouldn't hurt—and then while he was out, who was he to deny himself some fast food?
He'd earned it, after all that hard work, hadn't he?
The meal had been quick; it wasn't too terribly late by the time he was heading back home. He'd even decided to take the park for a shortcut.
Which had to be a wonderful coincidence considering he was near enough to hear someone calling out his name.
Well. His other name.
It had been almost instinctive to go to a mirror to cross the distance between him and whoever was calling for him, but without his pen he was forced to do things the old fashioned way.
He should have put a little more thought into it, though. He barely even registered that Remarque was not Jett and that whoever was calling him was not going to be able to tell the difference. Still…the voice sounded familiar.
He found out why after he walked around a tree and almost right into Lenka.
"Oh," he blurted, and took a few steps back.
Lenka. Possibly trouble.
Wait—for Remarque. What the hell could she have against Jett? He'd never met her like this. This wasn't going to be too bad.
…Except, he really wanted to know what she wanted with Remarque.
"Hey," he said slowly, trying to scrape together a quick excuse. "I heard yelling. Wanted to make sure everything's all right. Are you okay…?"

When she heard rustling in the bushes, Lenka’s eyes narrowed and she shut up quickly. Rustling could mean any number of things…a youma, a dog…a duck…
She didn’t feel anyone nearby, so she quite hoped that it was just a duck. A waddling duck coming to say hello. The one thing she didn’t expect to see was Jett. The chibi blinked and almost said his name. Almost just blurted out a confused statement of why was he here, but she quickly turned it to. “J…just who are you? And why are you here?” She didn’t want to be rude so she lamely tacked on a plain old. “It’s not safe you know…There are monsters or whatever…”
Why was Jett here? Why…
When was the last time she had even seen him? It had been forever. Maybe she would have to call him or something soon. She liked Jett. “And yeah. I’m fine. I just…was looking for someone. I wanted to…go on a picnic thing. Sort of. And I. I don’t know. It’s no big deal. I guess I might have been lonely or whatever.”
She crossed her arms, clearly put out by the fact that Remarque was someone who made her not be lonely. That was just sad. She clearly needed more senshi friends. Real senshi friends, not bad ones.”

"You know, if it's not safe for me, it's not safe for you," he pointed out. Jett, powered or not, was still a grown man.
And he still knew how to fight.
But Lenka probably didn't know that.
"And I'm not afraid of monsters, anyway. What are you doing out so late, looking for trouble? …No, you senshi think you're the good guys. Plus, I figure it's probably hard to cause trouble out here in the park."
…Nah, it was pretty easy, but he didn't want to be too suspicious. Now, he was just Jett. Antiques dealer, full time student, engaged Jett.
"I mean, I suppose the better questions is why would you want to have a picnic when it was already dark outside. And you don't seem to have any food on you. Oh, unless you want a burger or something."
He held up the paper bag; he still had two burgers left, though he had sort of been saving them for homework, and mostly just keeping them because his eyes had been bigger than his stomach and he couldn't justify wasting the money he'd spent on them by just throwing them out.

Her ears perked up. “You know what a senshi is?” Why would he know that? Well. He was Jett, wasn’t he? The cool older guy with the car. He would know everything maybe. Maybe he just knew.
At the mention of burgers she nodded. “I am hungry…I don’t know. I wanted to bring my…uh. The person up to space with me. Since I know how to do it now, but if he doesn’t want to turn up…I guess I could just go by myself.” Lenka looked at Jett, then gave a little smile. “I mean, unless you want to go with me. That might be fun!”
She held out a hand. “My name is Sailor Lenka…I’m the senshi of watermelons.” No need to tell him she was a chibi. She hated being a chibi anyway…and what he didn’t know couldn’t hurt him. So that was good. “Um…and who are you? We’d be going up to my asteroid, by the way! It’s fun up there and I packed some cookies in my bag! And a couple of sodas!”

What. A ride to space, and he didn't even have to power up? Seriously? He had to refrain from immediately accepting.
Had to play the role of civilian who wasn't used to such offers and didn't wholly understand the senshi.
He leaned back, stroked his chin thoughtfully and then shrugged. "I should say no. But you seem trustworthy. And it's not every day that you get offered a trip into space. My name's Jett," he introduced, extending his free hand to the girl in front of him. "And it's good to meet you, Lenka. To be honest, I've made a habit of avoiding most senshi. Had a bit of a rough time on the Surrounding two years ago. A bunch of us were up there for a few weeks and couldn't get down. But I dream about it. About the stars. In a way I don't imagine a lot of people do."
He shrugged, still holding out his hand for her. "You just have to promise me we aren't going to be trapped up there for a few weeks and I'm all for it."

She took the hand, smiling brightly. Oh he was so silly. She knew just who he was, and it was so hard not to just hug him or something. Secrets were so dumb sometimes…but she was really glad she got to see Jett again.
“You were up in Space before?” This was news to her, though now that she thought about it she did vaguely remember all of that commotion. People were gone for a while and it was back when she was just a new senshi, and quite confused with everything still.
“I promise that we won’t be up there too terribly long. Maybe just long enough to explore and have a picnic or something! You have burgers and I have the drinks and desserts, so it’ll be fun! What do you say, do you want to come?” Lenka drew out her senshi cell phone, thumb gently resting on the ‘home’ button. She was totally a pro at this. Trip up to Lenka take two. Maybe. If he said yes.

Lenka was probably too innocent for her own good, though this was a nicer side of her at least. He tried to seem thoughtful for a moment longer, though he already knew that he was going to say yes.
What did he have to lose? Lenka had gotten them home last time, so at least this time he knew that she could do it. And if he had been able to breathe up there as Remarque, why should going up as Jett be any different?
The Surrounding hadn't killed him, why should this.
Finally, after enough feigned contemplation, he nodded.
"Yeah. That sounds good to me. Of course, you'll have to stay close. You know. Just in case there are any giant lizards or space whales or anything. And maybe to make sure I don't get lost and never make it home," he laughed, offering a friendly grin.

Lenka stuck out her tongue, then laughed. “You worry too much Jett. You gotta relax a little. There are no Space Whales on Lenka, I promise. Just lots of trees and um…well. To be honest that’s all I saw last time was lots of trees. Lots and lots of them.”
The chibi looked up at Jett for a long moment, then grinned once more. “I hope your ready. And you have to hold on, or I’ll end up going up to space without you!” She reached out and took his hand, holding onto it tightly. “I’m ready now, so let’s go! You have the food right? You better, because I’m so hungry!”
She pressed down on the home button, thinking almost longingly of her asteroid. She wanted to go back, and here she went. Back with a friend, no doubt…but the only bad thing was that Jett had no idea who she was. Yeah, that was sad…but now they could be friends in two lives instead of just one. That was a good thing.
Away they went.
