While Remarque had been spending a lot of time in Mirrorspace, he still made it a duty to do at least one round somewhere in Destiny City while he was powered up. It was usually a fruitless endeavor; sometimes he managed to drain some energy with his wraiths, but that was usually the most exciting.
He'd run into Senshi or Knights and talk. He'd seen a few new Dark Mirror Senshi awakened fairly recently, so he'd had his hopes up for more.
The park was always an easy place to venture; it was busy enough to keep him on his toes, but at this hour it was never so busy that things got complicated.
Except, it seemed like he wasn't the only person in the area who was powered up and taking a stroll in the park. He felt an energy signature—Negaverse—in the not too far distance. Usually, Remarque avoided the Negaverse, but this one wasn't too strong. Hopefully new, and loose-lipped.
Remarque stomached his general dislike and distrust for the Negaverse and set a course for the Lieutenant, weaving between trees and bushes with ease. It wasn't difficult to catch up to him; he stepped out from the treeline only a few yards from the man.
"Evening," he greeted casually; he was only in the guise of his Eternal form, but it was a little easier and less obvious than running around as Prince all the time.

Arseno had just finished draining another civilian in the park and was about to leave. He had been walking along at his own pace when the jogger had passed by him on the path.
Unfortunate, for the jogger. Really, jogging at this time of night and in this type of humid heat? He really should have scheduled his jogs for the morning.
Before the man had time to say anything, Arseno had gotten to him and quickly drained his energy and left him on a bench. At least someone would find him. Arseno was feeling a bit better at being able to meet his quota a bit earlier this week and go back to his apartment when he heard a voice behind him and jumped a bit.
He quickly turned around to see what looked to be a senshi, and from what he could tell from the man’s aura, a powerful one at that. Great, he was going to get beat now. Just what he needed at the end of a good day. Though it didn’t seem as though the senshi had any intention of beating him, especially with the relaxed look and greeting. But perhaps that just meant he was trying to trick Arseno.
After a brief pause, trying to decide whether to respond or not, Arseno said “Evening” back to the man. He was curious though, he hadn’t ever felt this type of aura though, at least it was different from the auras the other senshis seemed to have around them when he encountered them.

Remarque's eyes drifted to the civilian the agent had deposited on a park bench and raised a brow before returning his attention to the man before him. "Busy night? …Not used to an agent leaving them out in the open. I take it you're not that interested in discretion, are you? Or," he paused and glanced around.
"…Are you waiting for someone to come along and find him?"
His eyes were on the horizon for only a moment before he returned his gaze to Arsenopyrite; it was obvious that he expected some sort of answer.

Arseno was immediately wary of this man. He wasn’t sure what this guy was up to, but he felt quite creeped out by the guy already. How he talked and moved wasn’t helping Arseno’s image of him either.
He shrugged a bit in response to the question. “Might as well have someone find him. I just drained his energy anyway. I’m sure someone will just think of him as some drunk or druggie. Or maybe a sleepwalker.” He didn’t really care, but he wasn’t about to leave someone in a place they couldn’t be found.
Bad things happened then. Sure, this guy could be robbed out in the open, but he would be less likely to say, be run over by a dump truck or something if he had been left in an alleyway.

Remarque nodded thoughtfully and clucked his tongue as he seemed to judge the male's answer. Eventually, he simply shrugged. "I suppose that makes sense. I'm not used to Negaverse agents having a conscience. I suppose the Chaos hasn't eaten that away from you yet? …We'll see how long that lasts."
He moved to stand in front of the man and extended a hand.
"My name is Remarque. Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry. I don't make it a habit to get acquainted with Negaverse Agents, but usually that's because they're too brainwashed to make good conversations. That, by the way," he looked at Arsenopyrite rather seriously, "Was not an insult, by the way. Only an inevitability, unless you keep your wits about you and don't let Metallia eat away all that makes you unique."SSBrosB I am so sorry, I lost the link for this and didn't realize it was my tag until now!

Arseno raised a brow. I wonder what he means by chaos taking my conscious away. Though he didn’t ask the man aloud, he hadn’t heard of THAT particular thing. He would have to go and ask his general later.
He was surprised though when the man moved in front of him and extended his hand. Arseno wasn’t sure if he should accept it or not, though this guy didn’t seem to be wanting to do anything to him… yet.
He decided to take a chance and shook the man’s hand. He had never heard of a Dark Mirror Senshi before though. “Lieutenant Arsenopyrite. I go by Arseno though usually.” He saw the serious face of Remarque and thought that maybe taking his advice would be a good idea. It didn’t seem as though this senshi was like the others. “I’ll keep that in mind. But I’ve never heard of a Dark Mirror Senshi before though. If I may ask, what’s the difference between Dark Mirror and all the others?”

Remarque had a firm handshake and dropped his hand after the greeting had been completed. "A Dark Mirror owes no allegiance to the White Moon or any of its poisons. We are keenly aware that there is a greater universe out there. We've all just ended up here on Earth. The Senshi think they are entitled to it—that is, the other Senshi. But the Dark Mirror acknowledges that there is a place out there for each of us. We have been tasked to protect it and, well, we aren't there protecting it."
He shifted positions. "Of course, we've all been born on Earth, so it is home to us. But we hold no illusion that the Moon reigns supreme, or whatever their latest fantasy is. We don't have allegiance to the royalty that created this war—that caused so much death and suffering. We are independent. We have a different set of powers—that is, the power to travel through mirrors. And drain energy, like you. Though, we use wraiths." He shrugged. "And we have access to Mirrorspace, a realm of its own. Connected to ours, but separate and full of secrets. And power."
He allowed Arseno a moment to digest his words and then asked, "The Negaverse teaches you none of this? We used to be allies."

Arseno listened intently, quite interested in what Remarque was saying. It was very fascinated, and he wished a little that he had become one, he was sure that they were out there. Though it seemed that hadn’t been his destiny. Oh well. He thought to himself as he wondered about what the greater universe could be.
Once the man was done all Arseno could do was shrug a bit. Luckily his mask hid his embarrassed blush. He didn’t like it when he was out of the loop because no one had bothered to tell him. “I… didn’t know. No one has ever told me, though that seems to be something that’s pretty consistent with the Negaverse. Perhaps it’s just because I’m a lieutenant though.” He would have to ask about it later to his general.
“Allies? What happened to cause the separation? If you don’t mind me asking.” Although they probably wouldn’t have all of the same goals, he wondered why they would split up in the first place, at least split up before the White Moon senshi were taken out completely.

"No," Remarque replied easily, "It's because the Negaverse keeps their secrets. The less you know, the less they have to worry about. It's just the structure of the Organization. I'd warrant that your General Sovereigns—that your leader keeps more to themselves than either of us will ever know. But I am happy to share what information I have."
That was true enough; Remarque could only express so much disdain for the Negaverse before he had to be concerned that he'd garner less than favorably attention for himself or the Dark Mirror Court.
"The long story, short, is that the Dark Mirror Court used to have a Queen—Ares. Only, she disappeared, along with all the information on the Court, all of its secrets. She might as well be a myth, for all that she ever did. Showed up with some power, awakened a few of us, left." He shrugged; he was still bitter, but dwelling would do little. "In her time, she had allied with the Negaverse. Only, in her absence, things fell apart. The Dark Mirror Court uses wraiths to drain energy. Without Ares' crystal to bend them to her will, they started acting of their own accord. Of course, we didn't know this because Ares never explained it, but Leto and I figured things out. Unfortunately, the Negaverse saw the issue with the wraiths as too much of a threat. Or, maybe without Ares around, they lost faith in whatever plans they had worked out."
Once more, he shrugged, only this time it was indifferently. "We probably never got the full story, either. But, it is what it is. The Negaverse has its goals, and we have ours. They're not so different, in the grand scheme of things. Keep the Earth safe, right? …But then, I suppose that's what the Senshi and Knights think they're doing, too."

Arseno could understand wanting to keep their secrets. They couldn’t exactly tell every lieutenant everything after all. Though something like this seemed pretty basic in terms of stuff he should know.
Though he was surprised that there were also wraiths about. But if what Remarque said was true, then the Negaverse had a similar set of problems. He had been recruited after being attacked by a stray youma after all, one that his general didn’t seem particularly pleased with.
“I guess we do sort of have the same goals… but it the Negaverse seems to have some sort of personal vendetta against the White Moon.” Part of this was almost muttered to himself. He couldn’t exactly be sure if the White Moon was trying to protect the planet. From what he had been told, it was the Negaverse that cared more about the planet and the White Moon didn’t seem as if they were too interested in protecting Earth.
“Thank you for telling me that though. Even if no one has the full version, I’m glad I know a little bit more about the Dark Mirror Senshi. Though this is the first time I’ve met one.” He almost wondered what these wraiths looked like that they used.

Remarque nodded slightly. "I'm not surprised," he said a short moment later. "Our numbers are much smaller than yours."
He could only hope that this agent was just so new that he hadn't run into the Dark Mirror Court and not that there were so few active ones around, but in Remarque's heart…
He suspected he knew the answer.
They'd been struggling to get back on their feet and it seemed like every time they were about to move in the right direction, they were losing someone to purification. Or just losing them.
"If you have any more questions, I'd be more than happy to answer. While I suspect most of the Dark Mirror Court will treat you respectfully, the Negaverse has been a bit unkind to some of our members. There are those that may see you as a threat just for your alliance."
