Mimistrobell sat on the roof of a one story building as she stared at the sun setting; she had a smile on her face and excitement was ever growing inside of her. It was going to be her first night out trying to gather energy. She hadn't learned how to use the shard yet, nor really how to fight, but she thought the only way she possibly could would be to learn on the go. Since, she hadn't yet met someone... 'like her'.
Day in and day out she had heard about Senshi and the like either attacking or saving people. Mimi only really knew she had to gather energy for her Queen, not necessarily attacking anyone and well, killing them. Just a snippet of their energy would make Mimi happy enough. She hopped off the roof and weaved in and out of the growing shadows.
"Hmm... Maybe I should head towards a park again..." Mimi thought to herself. She didn't really want to outright hurt anyone. She had already seen her attack and all it really did was confuse and/or stun people for a little bit. "I guess that will be the easiest for a first timer... especially since I don't really know how this... Shard works..."
She moved quickly through the blocks until she reached a park. It was nearly quiet, minus a few homeless people sleeping on benches. Mimistrobell didn't, however, notice that there was another figure there. She clasped her hands and quickly whispered 'Mimistrobell, Crippling Waft' and blew the pollen towards the homeless people sleeping and the figure, not knowing what was going to happen next.

It was still fairly early for Remarque to go out to gather energy, though as he had vague plans for later that evening, now seemed like the opportune time to make some rounds. He had powered up at home and stepped through a mirror in the park with the logic that it was far too early to go into town like this and not expect some sort of trouble. The park had many mirrors hidden in the bushes and trees, and even if those failed, he could just use the trees as cover and power down if need be.
What was supposed to be a short, boring search for energy suddenly turned interesting—he stepped through the mirror in time to sense another Dark Mirror Senshi. This wouldn’t have been so exciting to Remarque if they were a common occurrence, though he found that of all the members of the group, the only one he had seen of late was Lesath, and she was bound to him in a way that the others weren’t. There was no questioning what his choice of actions were to be; Remarque immediately made his way towards the energy source.
It was a very short walk, for which he was grateful. It wasn’t as if he wouldn’t pursue the source until he found it, but the less time he wasted looking meant the more time he had to spend actually doing something. The girl was easy to find, though he paused when he eyed her. She was not one that he had recognized, not one from directly off of the Surrounding. The power source she radiated told Remarque that she couldn’t have been doing this for very long, though already she seemed to have a mastery of her attack.
…Which actually looked like it did something.
In the back of his mind he found himself relieved that she seemed to be a little better off than Virtus had been when he first met the senshi of kindness.
Not sure of the effect her attack might have, Remarque was quick to sidestep it before the spores got too close; he had never been attacked by a Dark Mirror Senshi and wasn’t really eager to find out if it hurt as much as a White Moon Senshi’s attack.
“Pretty colors you’ve got there,” he noted as he approached Mimistrobell. He hadn’t been aware that there was another DMC running around Destiny City, so she had immediately intrigued him. It helped that she had a pretty face and a lovely outfit, though Remarque observed from a purely aesthetic view.

Besides searching for and eventually meeting the Dark Mirror Queen, Mimi hadn't done much with the 'rest' of the DMC. She wasn't even sure, really, how many were actually out there. It was odd though... She was suspicious of a lot of people of being one when she first 'changed'. Of course, it was just suspicion and nothing more. Not like she'd spill the beans of whom she was at night.
Mimi had been staring at the victims in the park and hadn't noticed someone like her was approaching. She didn't even realize it until the male spoke to her, complimenting her fuku that she looked towards him. Mimi looked at him for a while, wondering but not saying anything. "How odd... His outfit is black like mine is... What's with the butt-wings?"
For some reason, Mimi took his words as a stranger trying to pick up someone that seemed definitely younger than he was. The polite girl inside of her wanted to just say 'thank you', but she too nervous to speak. She had many talks with her mom to avoid strangers that seemed like *****, especially since she had made the choice to move out of the house into the dorms of Crystal Academy. Once he stopped moving, and they were both standing still for a while, Mimi decided to try and do something.
Once she had decided what to do, she made a mad dash with her right arm up, aiming to elbow the man in his crotch. It might not do much damage, but at least she'd have time to get away. That is, assuming Mimi was quick enough.

Though Remarque hadn’t had an inkling as to what Mimistrobell was doing when she started running towards him, the distance between the two of them gave him plenty of time to react. He had assumed a somewhat friendly encounter—hell, it wasn’t every day that you got to meet another Dark Mirror Senshi—but her reaction to him was more surprising than actually finding her.
Remarque had an advantage, being both battle hardened and of a higher power level than her, but also larger than her. She was easy to read; her form seemed awkward to him and he was able to react before she made a blow that—quite frankly—would have hurt like a b***h. He swung forward, hooking his arm around her waist and then used her own momentum against her to hurl her to the ground below them. He had the option to aim her towards the cement, though figured that might have been a little unfair—though it was her own fault for attacking him.
He waited until she hit the grass and then moved to stand over her, one brow raised as he cracked his knuckles and looked down at her. Hovering over her as he was, he certainly seemed threatening, and though his tone was clipped, it was not necessarily hostile when he chose to speak. “Awfully brash of you to attack me. You might wanna take a few seconds to think before you act, or else you’ll wind up six feet under well before your time. Now. I was going to ask nicely, but since we get to play this game, who the hell are you?”

Oops. Too slow.
Mimistrobell landed with a thud on the grass and pouted. It was more than a pout, however, and more like a death-glare and a frown. Much as it hurt, she stood up and rubbed her bottom. In the process of standing up however, she had managed to pick up a few rocks and threw them all at once at the guy standing near her, not caring if they actually hit. "Pfft. You're the dude with the strange man with.. butt wings walking around at the middle of the night."
"If I didn't attack, what would you do?" The pain that was running up her spine and down her leg made her not care about being polite. It was a bit blunt a bit rude to talk to someone like that whom was clearly at least older than her, but she didn't care. "Complimenting underage females at night doesn't sound good to me."
She tried hard not to cross her arms as Mimi was asked whom she was. It was frustrating to be talked to like that, but at least the 'ladies first' thing seemed to kick in here. Mimi took a deep breath, relaxing herself and trying to get back to her normal composure. "My name is Mimistrobell, DMC Senshi of Nightshade."
Mimi looked at him, one eye cocked. "And yourself?" She didn't know if she could trust him or not still, so with the corner of her eyes, she found routes where she could run if needed.

Remarque looked relatively unamused when Mimistrobell through the small rocks. A few of them hit, though if Mimistrobell had been aiming to do damage, she had failed; they had been a minor nuisance and nothing but.
"Remarque," he introduced, allowing a second for the name to sink in before he continued, "Eternal Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry." Not only was he older than her, but in terms of power, he definitely outranked her. If she was going to be belligerent towards him, he suspected she hadn't had much of an introduction yet.
"And I don't see how offering you a compliment is any sort of insulting. Better I pay you a compliment than insult, hmm? I mean, would you rather I say, 'My, what a well tailored outfit you're wearing' or 'Damn, you really have no idea what you're doing, do you?' Because, I could very easily switch to criticizing you if you'd rather, but given that you are a team mate of mine, that seems rather counter productive. Don't you think?"
He held out a hand to her in a friendly gesture. "Now, let's play nice. It's nice to meet you, Mimistrobell. I'm glad to have you among us. I hope you've been welcomed warmly into the Court?"

Mimi knew that the rocks wouldn't do any damage, really, but she was happy at least the guy looked a little bit annoyed. It wasn't her fault her parents taught her to be wary of everyone she met, especially dudes that were older than her and sending her compliments... A night.
It was just odd to Mimi, compliment or not.
She put on a smile for him. It was somewhat warm at the same time teasing. "Yes, insults would be much better." At night, anything was possible, and well, she's had her share of compliments at night and the dudes all screamed '*****' to her. Mimi was happy though. At least she could get herself out of trouble at night if she ever ran into trouble. She hoped, anyways.
Holding out a hand, she spoke again. "It's nice to meet you, Remarque." Mimi looked at the butt-wings on his waist and went over to touch them. "Is that what those mean? 'Eternal'?"
"I actually haven't really met others, just Princess Ares." There hadn't been much time between her 'awakening' and Ares disappearing again, but Mimi hadn't really cared. She learned little by little by herself, but there was things she was pretty sure she didn't know to well. An example was fighting. The failure of her skills were shown.
Mimi was reluctant to tell him, but since they were on the same side anyways, she sighed. "Besides my power, I really don't know how to fight. I could probably get out of something by myself, but not a winning battle..."

Remarque took Mimistrobell's hand and gave it a firm shake before he casually dropped it. She had a lot of questions, it seemed, but if she hadn't really had anyone to guide her after Ares, he couldn't really blame her. Even he'd been burdened with a mass of questions after he'd first been awakened, but he'd at least had time to speak with Ares—and Leto and Requiem. And then, he and Danae were followed by a number of other Dark Mirror Senshi.
But Mimistrobell didn't know them, it seemed. And she didn't get her one-on-one, or her FAQ session.
"That so?" he prompted. Lips pursed in thought, he nodded resolutely. "Well I can probably help you with that. But first—you know how to mirrorwalk? Summon your mirrorwraith, drain somebody? You've already got a grasp on how to do your attack, I see. I can run over whatever basics you need and then teach you to throw a good punch, at the very least."

Mimi was kind of surprised at Remarque's handshake. Sure, he was a dude was was more likely than not to have a strong handshake, but despite that and his rank as an 'eternal' senshi, he didn't look like much to Mimi. She shook that off however and tried to think of responses to his questions.
She didn't know how to battle... That was for sure. Her powers helped out when she got into a bit of trouble, but that was it. Mimi still didn't really want to admit that to him though. Instead, she focused on something that she had been trying tonight and somewhat failing.
Taking the pouch out of it's hiding spot, Mimi held it up. "I have been trying to handle the wraith-thing to try and help out Princess Ares, but so far..." She paused as she waved her arms at the bums. "I can't even get a bit out of those bums!"

Raising a brow at Mimistrobell, Remarque glanced from her to the bums and then back again. One eyebrow quirked, he eyed the shard she held. "Having a hard time getting the wraith out, you mean? …I guess it's kind of frustrating when you're first starting out, but it should get easier. It's a little more difficult if you're just trying to force it out. All you need is a little focus. Here," he said, drawing out a shard from the hidden pouch on his outfit. He had summoned a mirror wraith countless times before, so for him to produce one of the small creatures was near effortless.
The tiny creature that slid from the mirror was not as grotesque as many of the other mirror creatures, and once out it seemed to immediately search for the nearest source of energy.
Remarque watched as it made its way towards one of the homeless men and made no effort to stop it, watching as the wraith darted through him to collect energy. "Simple and easy. Just take a breath, concentrate—if you focus hard enough, it's like a little tingle inside of you. Then—bam. Mirrorwraith. Go ahead, give it a go," he ushered.

Mimi was kind of ashamed at how Remarque made it look so easy to do. She started doubting herself a bit then. "What if I'm not meant for this?" Looking down at the ground, she picked at random little things on the ground, irritated at herself. Then she remembered the night when she met Ares. Mimi was then determined. "She wouldn't have let me become Mimistrobell if I couldn't do it, so I doubt myself already!"
When she watched the wraith come out, Mimi noted how ugly it was. "Do they all look like that? Not trying to insult it..." "Not directly anyways" "...But I was wondering."
She took her little shard from her pouch and held it in her hand. Staring intently at the shard, her mind tried to touch it. "Please come out...? Pretty please come out?" Something seemed to happen and... Something appeared for just a little bit and then faded again.
"I... Don't think that worked." She let out a sigh before clenching the shard in her hand.

Remarque watched as his own mirrorwraith finished collecting energy and then made its way back to the shard he presented. He would have commented on the appearance of the creature had he figured it to be of importance. All of the mirrorwraiths were ugly to him—gross, distorted creatures from beyond the mirror.
When his neared, the one he'd let out neared, he glanced to Mimistrobell. "Don't worry about it."
Offering comfort was not exactly his strong point, but that didn't mean he was going to let Mimistrobell wallow in despair over there. "It takes some practice. I'm sure even Ares took some time to get the hang of it. But you had something there," he said, nodding towards the shard. "So that means you were pretty close. Go on, try again. Do what I said, just take a deep breath and focus. Let it flow through you, and don't let a mishap or two discourage you. Got it?"
The wraith he'd summoned didn't seem to need any guidance—it wandered back into the shard without even really needing to be called.

Mimi looked at her clenched hand and then back at Remarque, whom seemed encouraging enough. She knew she could do it. There had to be some way to transfer her feelings into that shard and prove to it she can wield it!
She brought her hand up and opened up her fist. The shard sat there shimmering in the night. Taking deep breaths, she tried to channel what energy she could feel in her body towards her hand and through to the shard. It took a few more seconds before a wraith came out and took a dive to gather some energy.
When it came back to her, it paused real quick and seemed to look at her. It was then that Mimi looked back and examined it before it disappeared again. She looked at Remarque and smiled. "I did it! It was quick... But still!"
"Will it always be the same one that comes out?"

Mimistrobell's enthusiasm was enough to make even Remarque don a small smile. He wasn't much for sentiments, but she was an ally, and she had done a good job. Grasping the ability to summon a wraith could be difficult, and because she had mastered it, he figured that warranted praise. "You did do it, good job," he complimented, supplying a warm smile. "Thankfully—or not—it will not be the same one that comes out. Some are more useful than others, some are more hideous than others. It's random chance, so don't bother getting attached to anything that comes out of that shard, all right? —Not that you'd want to. They're hideous, creepy and cold, if you ask me, but,'" Remarque shrugged.
…Girls could be weird and attach themselves to anything, so a warning was at least in order. "As you get stronger," he gestured to himself, "You'll get more shards. More shards means more wraiths to summon, More wraiths, more energy."
