Mirrorspace was responsible for many strange things, but some things were just to be expected. A crack, split from the ceiling to the floor, in the common room was not among such expected things. Any Dark Mirror Senshi that might have paused mid-step to linger in Mirrorspace might have noticed it—and the Dark Mirror Senshi are gathering to investigate. In the days leading up to this, the crack was little more than a small, hairline fracture—a blemish on the white wall.
Now, almost overnight, it seems to have become a problem. The area around the walls seems to have crumbled a bit and, while it might be a tight squeeze, it looks like there’s enough room to move through the hole. It is difficult to see what might be behind the wall; it seems dark and eerie white mist seems to flow weakly from the hole. While it might not be clear what’s behind the wall, it’s clear that something is—and that’s all that matters.
The Common Room was already starting to fill up with Dark Mirror Senshi as the rendezvous time neared.
Quote:
If you play a first stage Dark Mirror Senshi who cannot stop in Mirrorspace yet, you may either contact another Dark Mirror Senshi player who could have brought them along or handwave their appearance! This event is for Dark Mirror Senshi only; they cannot bring any not DMC guests, sorry!
This roleplay will involved dice rolls and will be counted as a battle. New prompts will be posted approximately every 24 hours so it will be fast paced. If you miss a roll, you can make it up, but any late roll will have two points deducted from the number.
Remarque had been staring at the crack in the wall on and off throughout the day. He left a few times, expecting it to be gone when he returned. Expecting something when he returned. But it was always the same.
It hadn’t grown, at least as far as he could tell. He liked to think he’d memorized all of the finer details, but that was a foolish venture—especially here, in Mirrorspace.
To think that you knew anything—that you understood anything—was foolish.
It just meant that they had to investigate. A few others had the same idea, it seemed; Dark Mirror Senshi were collecting in the common room with the same goal in mind and he found himself dually grateful and worried. On one hand, he knew what dark things could lurk in Mirrorspace.
On the other hand, he wanted to know what else was in Mirrorspace.
He stood next to Lesath, arms crossed over his chest as he eyed the wall with grim fascination.

Being that he worked with, and for, Remarque meant they were close and that they talked. They talked during breaks and they talked while working, provided no people were around to hear what they were talking about. Thus it really should be no surprise that Kiuchi knew about what was happening in mirror space. He hadn't just heard about it though, the shock of hearing about it had him asking to go with Remarque, so he'd seen it before now. But the crack was bigger than when he'd seen it the other day.
Standing there the senshi of gorgon's was looking it over, keeping his distance from the white mist that drifted out from the crack. He didn't trust it, and with good reason as far as he was concerned. This didn't seem normal, from what he could gather, and magic. Magic was the answer, he was learning, to many things. Magic destroyed, or at least bent, scientific rules and changed all kinds of things as magic seemed to not have a limit. If it did have a limit he was sure no one really knew it, most of all him.
From where he stood he glanced over to the prince and tilted his head a bit. "Are we going to investigate?" He already had a feeling he knew the answer to his question - they were going to investigate. Shouldn't they have flashlights or maybe rope...or something? Some way to get back out of the crack, to find their way back, and a light to see? Incase if was too dark, as he wasn't sure what would be found beyond the crack...maybe there would be light.
He had, on the way to meet Remarque, left a message on Caleb's cell phone letting him know he had a small emergency and would be busy - he didn't know for how long. he'd call as soon as he could. He didn't like doing that but he had really no other choice. He hadn't a clue what was going to happen but he knew he was getting into something, and he couldn't tell the other. This was a secret that had to remain between them.
Sitting on the floor he glanced around looking to see if anyone else he knew was here, or maybe catch sight of them arriving.

Lesath didn’t often go to mirrorspace without some sort of a reason, and most of those times were just to awaken the new senshi that she had found. Still…when Remarque told her that there was something strange going on…well. Stranger than normal, she couldn’t…not go and see.
“You know, some people might say you’ve started losing your mind with how much you’re fascinated by that wall, I do hope you realize that.”
But…it was interesting…and he had said that it hadn’t really changed…and with the way things were always changing in this place…that in itself was a surprising thing. She glanced at Remarque and gave a slight grin, though there was some worry behind it. “What do you think this means? Is it breaking or something…do you even really think it’s safe to be in here?” Of course it was safe. Things were safe in here. Except the things that weren’t. But. They could take care of those things, she was sure. But, even so, she was a little worried about the senshi she brought with her today, it had been spur of the moment, asking them...but she figured that they had as much right to come to see this as anyone did.

Remarque shrugged; his lips were pursed and he huffed at the woman next to him. “I’m not losing my mind,” he grumbled—but sometimes, he wondered. His eyes were burning from staring at the white for so long. “…Honestly, I have no idea what it means. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this—and not here, at least.”
He kept his voice soft so as not to alarm the other Senshi nearby but when he spoke again, it was with an easy, nonchalant tone. “I’m sure it’s fine. It’s Mirrorspace. It’s probably as safe as anywhere else.”
He shrugged, as if to dismiss concerns, but he seemed tense and was staying close to Lesath in case something went wrong.
“But in any case,” he nodded to Kiuchi. “Anyone who wants to investigate is free too. I think it’d be a wasted opportunity not to.”
Mirrorspace didn’t often show them glimpses of anything other than the mundane and he was so desperate for answers that he was willing to jump at anything. “I don’t know how dangerous it might be, but there’s safety in numbers. Might be a good learning exercise.”
Or it might get them all killed, but Remarque was feeling pretty confident already.

"And worst case scenario," Laverna's voice came from behind her mask as she stepped forward towards the wall, eyes jerking back to look at her Prince before touching a part that had not given way to whatever was behind it. "Going in with other people means you have a chance not to be the slowest."
It was a playful jest, at least in part as she felt a smirk appear under her mask. She had spent enough time with Remarque to know at least some of the wonders and dangers of mirror space. Truly the world open to only them was something to behold and respect. If one did not, one might not come back through the mirror.
Stepping back from the wall, Laverna eyed it and crossed her arms under her chest. "Well, how much longer are we giving?" She took a moment to glance back at the pair. Remarque and Lesath. She had never met the mother of his child but it wasn't hard to guess who she was by the way he stood protectively there. Laverna had to admit she still wasn't 100% possibility what to call her. Wife? Fiancee? Girlfriend? Baby momma? She decided best to look at the male in green. That one she had not seen before but he seemed innocent enough as she eyed him up and down. Maybe a bit young...but could be useful to know.
But who was she to judge age. A mask could only hide so much after all.
"Or shall we chip away at it to make it a bit easier to get through?"

Acubens had seen the crack the day before and actually ended up staring at it for the better part of an hour. Where had it come from? What did it mean? It made Acubens' heart plummet into her stomach, thinking about what it might mean. It figured that at the same time that Acubens finally began to figure out what it meant to be a Dark Mirror Senshi, this kind of s**t would happen. So it was with a solemn heart that she slipped through the mirror into the common room with her newest project, Sailor Chione close in toe, speaking as soon as she left the veil of her portal.
"Oh good, people are already here," she sighed, planting a soft kiss on the side of Kiuchi's head and Lesaths' cheek in turn. There wasn't really time for real greetings, she lamented, nor was there time to introduce herself to the senshi that she did not recognize. Instead she offered the woman a warm smile and gracious wave as she ushered Chione forward. She would introduce her to the rest of her family later. Now was the time for answers, she figured.
"How much longer do we have to give," she asked, answering Laverna's question with another question. She crossed her arms over her chest as she considered the crack c** gap in the wall. "And that's only the most benign question at play here, I think. The various elephants in the room being who or what caused this, who or what waits inside of this crack, and of course... can we fix this?" A mention from Lesath from so long ago about some kind of... vision of a future stirred in the back of Acubens' mind. Had she imagined this conversation? Was it a dream that she had had? Or was that a conversation that they had, and this was a precursor to that vision coming true?
Well, she had never been one to just stand around himming and hawing. She clapped once, rubbed her hands together, and chirped, "Well, it ain't getting any broke-er. Shall we head in?"

A glance was given to the dark mirror senshi at Remarque's side - he didn't know her. No doubt that the prince knew her though, and that they seemed close, maybe after this he would find out who she was. Now though didn't seem the time, as there was the far more pressing matter of a crack in mirror space. It wasn't just the crack but the fact it seemed to be leaking something. So while his attention had been on her it hadn't lasted long, as it shifted right back to Remarque. "I think...I'd like to investigate..." Even if he was nervous, terribly so, he was also a lot hesitant as this was the unknown to him. This was all still very new to him, he didn't have experience with mirror space really.
"Maybe we'll learn something valuable and needed." Even if whatever happened was bad they could learn something helpful, whether it be helpful now or in the long run, this could be a useful endeavor to take up.
Tilting his head at the masked senshi, wondering what her sphere was, he shook his head at her words. The teasing going right over his head, though it wasn't meant for him anyway. He sat there on the floor watching everything going on around him with wide dark eyes. Hopefully they'd allow long enough for others to turn up, this was too small a group he figured.
Catching her looking at him he managed to offer her a smile. What to say though? He really wasn't sure, he didn't know her and hadn't a clue. "H-hopefully we don't have to wait too long. B-but we're too small of a group right now..." And not strong enough, or so he figured, nothing against their prince or the eternal at his side. It was just that only four of them and two with any real rank...it didn't bode well in his mind really.
Listening to the idea of chipping away he shook his head. If mirror space might have any semblance of intelligence...or feeling it might not be good to go chipping or banging away at it. He didn't speak up though, figuring that wouldn't' be something they'd go and do anyway. He would, however, speak up if that became something they tired to do.
It was the arrival of Acubens which had him smiling, though he did wonder who that was with her. He didn't ask though, he knew the eternal senshi of raptors would say something when the time was right. Instead he reached up from his spot on the floor and latched onto her fuku for a moment, while she kissed his head. Flashing her a smile. He was forever grateful to her, as was he grateful to Remarque. Acubens was currently putting him up at her home and he appreciated it, and not just because it was a roof over his head. It was a companion...someone else who was a dark mirror senshi and he didn't need to explain things or worry. She knew and understood...he could learn from her.
Looking around he didn't spot the yellow and purple clad senshi of saffron, another of Acubens sorta adopted children. And that had him turning his dark eyes onto the other. "Acubens...where is crocus...?" He hadn't seen the other in some time and while they didn't know each other well he did like him, he was another new dark mirror senshi. He didn't feel so new around the other. Plus they were both under Acubens care.

Chione wasn’t sure why she had let Acubens talk her into coming here. It was a strange place, and one she didn’t understand one little bit, and the fact that they were just…there…
It was kind of unsettling.
Not to mention that, but Acubens was going around kissing people and pushing her towards all of the people but she didn’t know any of them and…
Well, that wasn’t true. She vaguely remembered the one blonde senshi, it had been years though, and she figured he wouldn’t remember her at all but, what did she expect. She wasn’t about this life, and she still wasn’t sure why she had agreed to come and see what was going on. “Head in? Into…a broken wall? Why would anyone think that was a good idea? It seems dangerous to me.” This whole place seemed dangerous…why couldn’t she have stood her ground and convinced Acubens to just…go to the movies with her or something.
It would have been a lot more…normal.

"Danger is kind of par for the course with us, Chione," Acubens muttered as she took a ginger step towards the crack in the wall. Her hands itched to reach inside, grope around for something... she wrung them in front of her instead. "No matter what side you're on, danger is just our lives now. The difference is that in this case the danger has come home for us. This crack is in our house." She considered the wall for a moment longer before she stepped back. "That's why I brought you here, Chione. Call it a learning experience, but you're learning while everything... may... or may not... be on fire." She wouldn't tell her that this was another way to try and endear her to the court. Maybe if she could get her to forge some relationships she might want to help the court more... at the very least she would see that she had allies.
Which meant that introductions were in order. She had to make time for those.
"I'm not sure where Crocus is, dear," Acubens answered Kuichi with a slightly distracted tone as her eyes remained glued on the crack, "but I do have someone else for you to meet. This is Chione." She finally tore her eyes from the crack and smiled between the two of them. "Chione, this is my student, Kiuchi. Kiuchi, this is a friend of mine, Chione." Moving on down the line Acubens pointed to each senshi as she gave their name.
"The blonde woman is my dear friend Lesath, Chione. She was the first dark mirror I ever met. Next is Prince Remarque. Another very dear friend. I don't, however, know you," she grinned, holding her hand out to Laverna. "I'm Acubens. Senshi of Velociraptors."

Crocus had only been into Mirrorspace one other time, thanks to the help of Acubens during his awakening. Since then though, he had made it a point to meet other Dark Mirror senshi in his own court. In one of his nightly adventures he had bumped into Tantalus. It had been...entertaining was the least he could say about it. When he had heard about the strange things going on there recently, he had asked for some help to get back there so he could see it for himself. He didn't really know what strange or not was in Mirror space too much himself, it was safe to assume a crack in the wall with white mist spewing from it was well...off behavior.
He followed after Tantalus and popped into the common room and definitely noticed something that wasn't there before, different from his one visit there previously. 'So, that's not a common thing here at all?" Of course he knew that, or they wouldn't all be gathered here in the first place. But, Crocus wouldn't be Crocus, if he didn't like stating the obvious. It definitely peeked his curiosity. He knew there was a lot none of them really knew about how exactly Mirrorspace worked. Had something gone wrong? His first thought was that maybe someone had messed with that Crystal in the throne room. After all, he'd been warned not to touch it. What if someone had? Could it cause this? Eh, more than likely they;d just lose control of their mirrorwraithes.
Shortly after entering he thought he heard his name, and he looked around to spot Acubens and Kuichi, of course there were also a number of other Senshi that he had or had not met recently. "Hey! I'm over here." He waved before approaching the group, getting a bit closer to the crack in their mirrorspace as they did so. "You didn't think I'd ditch you all while he unpuzzled this, did you?" He joked a bit, always the one trying to lighten the mood a bit. No one knew what was on the other side of this thing, it could very well be the end of them all.

Sinope watched and listened to all the senshi gathered. He knew so very few, but then again, this was the first gathering of Dark Mirror Senshi he had ever been a part of. Prior to this he had never been in the presence of more than one besides himself at a time.
Though Sinope was usually a talkative one, he didn't know what to make of his fellow court members and thus was still in the process of studying and getting to know the lot of them. Not by socially interacting, necessarily - there were enough interacting with each other that he didn't have to bother with that in order to get a sense of what they were like. Non-verbal communication spoke volumes more than actual words and it was a lot easier to pay attention to such nuances when you were not the one being spoken to directly.
That blonde girl with the pink highlights in the hood, for instance - Sinope like the way she thought, whether or not her comment about not being the slowest had been a joke. Some of the senshi seemed more acquainted with various members than others and the redhead guessed they'd been around longer or were maybe just more social. Only time and careful observation would tell.
"What's got you so pensive?" Ptolemy asked, smirking at Sinope as he nudged him with an elbow. "Normally I can't seem to shut you up. Don't tell me you're actually worried about that crack."
The Senshi of Change had been around longer than Sinope and had met more Dark Mirror members, but he still didn't think he recognized the majority of the sailor scouts present. He could only have imagined how overwhelmed Sinope had felt, but he knew the younger teen well enough to expect him to talk more when he was nervous, not fall silent completely.
"I actually am, since it could potentially be the death of all of us," Sinope answered, not sharing Ptolemaeus' amusement, "but that's not why I've been quiet. It's just...I think there's more Dark Mirror scouts collected here than I've met since I became one." And they're probably all more powerful than me and could kick my butt, he added mentally. Better to be careful and get a sense for them first. "I guess I'm just trying to take it all in. You know...think before I open my big mouth for once."
"Hehe...smart," the taller male agreed, beaming. Crossing his arms, he leaned back against the wall, continuing to keep his ears and eyes open as people introduced themselves and each other and spoke of how to proceed with the crack in the wall.

"I thought nothing of the sort, my love," Acubens purred as she planted a kiss on Crocus' cheek in greeting as well. "Crocus, this is Chione," she said, motioning to the senshi of blizzards beside her. "Chione, my other student, Crocus. I awakened him myself actually," she stated, swelling with pride at the statement. "He and Kiuchi are immense sources of pride for me with how well they are both doing. Flourishing I'd say, actually." So it is possible, she held off from saying, to be happy with this family. With my family.
The addition of new faces brought new vigor to Acubens' smile.
"Hey there, boys," she chirped over her shoulder. "Welcome to the party. The name's Acubens." She moved to side side, making room for the two men who had joined them to take their place beside everyone else. "Don't be shy, my loves. Come on over and unravel this with us," and with that she pulled the beaten composition notebook from the messenger bag at her side that looked like it had seen much better days. Carefully, she sketched out the crack in the wall and began describing it and the current events surrounding her. Maybe this was nothing, but she didn't want to have to recall details later. Best to get everything down right now.

WhilstSadalsuudwasn't able to stop in mirror space directly, an eternal senshi from the court by the name ofAviorhad kindly given her a lift in.
Green eyes studied the crack curiously for a few moments, taking in the way that the area around the walls had crumbled and the white mist-like thing that appeared to flow from the hole itself for a few moments before shifting to glance at the other dark mirror senshi that had gathered.
There were quite a few and whilst there were still so many that Sadalsuud didn't recognise, there were also some familiar faces.
She gaveKiuchia bright smile and a small wave and also gave smiles to bothSinopeand toRemarque, although she stayed where she was currently as she listened to the chatter of conversation around her.

Sadalsuud is open for interaction, but please quote me :3 ((also minor edit to take into account being dropped into mirror space - thanks Poods))
Watching as Acubens handled what seemed to be her newest charge the senshi of gorgon's kept his dark gaze wandering around, waiting to see Crocus. He was wondering if the other knew...if he'd turn up. Tugging, and fiddling, with the bottom of his uniform he nodded once as Acubens took to introducing him to her newest charge. As the introductions continued he waited till they were over before speaking.
"I-it's nice to meet you. Like Acubens said...Kiuchi. I'm senshi of gorgon's." And there was Crocus! LIghting up as he heard the other, before he saw him, the dark haired senshi of gorgon's reached out a hand towards the other, in the hopes of being seen, and made a grabby hand at him. His right hand soon reaching out also as he made grabby hands like a child towards his fellow dark mirror senshi.
"It looks scary....but we might learn a lot from it." Nodding his head as he continued making grabby hands towards the other teen. He honestly didn't want to get up from his place on the floor but he also wanted the others attention, he'd missed him. He was one of the first dark mirror senshi he'd met and they were close in age as well. He lived with Acubens, so saw her all the time. He didn't see the other much at all, hadn't in awhile.
For a moment his dark eyes moved away from Crocus as they landed on another familiar person, someone small and dark haired. As the senshi of clovers waved to him he moved to wave, with his left hand, towards her. It wasn't anything like the grabby hand aimed for Crocus, but he was happy to see the petite senshi of clovers. "Sadalsuud." It was nice to know a few people here, even though there were more here whom he didn't know. He knew a few people and that was comforting.
