There was always an abundance of people to find in the park. If ever Remarque was bored while gathering energy, it was always his favorite place to hit up. He wasn't sure if it was just comfortable for everyone, or if there was some other reason they all seemed to flock to the area, but he was never disappointed. There were parts of the park where he could roam and not worry about being bothered, and parts he knew to wander specifically if he was looking for socialization.
After nearly three hours of collecting energy from his favorite hotspots, it took him all of four minutes to find a chaos signature to drift towards. The energy signature wasn't strong enough that he figured it would be anyone of importance, but it was a decision he made, regardless.
Not every meeting was going to be with a General King, though after having spoken to one, he felt a bit more inclined to explore the ranks of the Negaverse. He knew a small number of them, but just as he expected the Negaverse to present themselves as allies to the Dark Mirror Court, he assumed he was to do the same.
And the best way to ensure you had dependable allies was to speak with them.
For that reason alone, Remarque would have sought out the energy source. His curiosity certainly had nothing to do with him walking towards the aura.

Natron tended to stay in the park as a matter of course. It was a lot easier to run away from getting your a** kicked if there were lots of people to run to. Plus, there were plenty of people to drain, and it was pretty easy to pick out the sorts that were "up to no good" and thereby completely reasonable to drain.
At this point, he was taking something of a break, since he was feeling very good about how much he had drained so far.
When he felt the strong energy signature approaching, he felt a brief moment of panic. Then he recognized it as Chaos-aligned, and, if his experience didn't betray him, a Dark Mirror. Hmm, maybe it was Leto again? That had certainly been an interesting meeting.
So he waited, looking far more relaxed than he felt. Ally or not, that much power in the hands of someone from another dimension kind of made him uncomfortable.
"Hello," he called out, letting the person know he knew they were coming. He was curious. If it wasn't Leto, then it was another Dark Mirror on his level, and that, in his opinion, was a very good person to know.

It was rather atypical for Remarque to receive such a pleasant greeting, and more often than not, he found that he was the one initiating conversation. It was a nice change, and he responded with a friendly enough, "Evening."
Giving the agent a look over, he concluded that he wasn't in the slightest familiar. Which was good, he supposed; there were a few Negaversers he'd rather not run into. He casually commented, more to start a conversation than a necessity to state the obvious, "Haven't seen you around, though I suppose it's always to meet a new face. I've been seeing more and more these days. Warms my heart."
All right, maybe a little bit of a bluff. Warmed his heart? There was a short list of things that reached Jett's heart—his mother, his girlfriend, money and cheeseburgers.
Approaching the lieutenant, he extended a hand. "Eternal Sailor Remarque," he introduced, presenting his full title proudly. "Dark Mirror Senshi of Puppetry. And you are…?"

Well, alright, definitely not Leto, though that wasn't a problem. (Also, Natron observed, the first male Senshi he'd met. Huh, those did exist. Interesting.)
"Well, I mean, I'm a fairly new face in general," Natron said. No harm in admitting he was fresh off the corruption to an ally, was there? He had a hard time conceiving of anyone on the side of Chaos betraying him in any way. Ah, the universe he lived in could be such a happy place at times.
When it wasn't a dark mansion of conspiracy-induced paranoia. Eh, small details.
"Lieutenant Natron," he introduced himself, taking the offered hand and shaking. He definitely wanted to be on the good side of an Eternal Senshi. It seemed the best place to be, all things considered. "Pleasure to meet you, Remarque." It had been impossible to miss the pride infused in Remarque's voice when giving his title, but then, that much power was something to be proud of, wasn't it.

Remarque found himself rather pleased with Natron; he smiled and offered a firm—yet not unfriendly—handshake. "Good to meet you. Fairly new?" he prompted upon completing the handshake; he let his hand drop to his side. "So then, how's it treating you so far?"
He really couldn’t help but be curious as to how things were going on the Negaverse side of things. For as closely knit as the Dark Mirror Court was, they just also happened to be much smaller than the Negaverse—which wasn't a bad thing, necessarily, just meant much more opportunity to get to know each other and build up stronger bonds. Their numbers alone meant that the Negaverse was capable of getting into a lot more at one time than the Dark Mirror Court, and while Remarque didn't know how their newbie-system worked, now seemed like as good a time as any to figure that out.

Natron returned the handshake fairly firmly. He preferred to at least not blow that portion of the first impression. "Very new," he confessed. "But it's been going well for the most part." Which was true, it really had been mostly good. One small snafu, but overall he was quite happy with his time as a Negaverser so far.
Maybe that would change in a few months, but he doubted it. "What about you? I mean, it's pretty obvious you're not all that new, but how's it been?" Probably a dumb question; Remarque wouldn't have been around long enough to hit Eternal if he wasn't fairly good at this. Ah well, he'd said it, no taking it back now.

The question was a surprisingly difficult one, considering the depth Remarque really should have put into it. How's it been?
It had been neither better nor worse, it had just been. The White Moon were severely hindering the Dark Mirror Court's effort to save them, and wouldn't get off their high horse for long enough to look at the world from another perspective. Ares had made little progress in her grand plan—from what Remarque assumed; he had never actually questioned her about it (and certainly didn't intend to). Their members had been hurt—badly beaten. But deaths? Severe maiming? Remarque could be pleased for the lack of that—and while their numbers were few, at least there were a few senshi that had come to them for salvation.
"Not that new," Remarque agreed, figuring it best not to lead into an awkward silence while his mind wandered. "Almost a year, now. Come October, I think." His dates had been a bit mixed up while in the Surrounding, though it was as close to a guess as he could come by.
"It's been good," Remarque said, despite the complexities that came with answering that question. "An arduous effort, but one that's well worth it." Remarque had taken note that Natron did not pester him with a dozen questions regarding the Dark Mirror Senshi, so either the Negaverse was giving out better information, or he'd already run into another Dark Mirror Senshi and been given the lay down. "Do they teach you about the DMC when you first get recruited or have you had the pleasure of already meeting one of our kind?" he asked, continuing in a conversational tone.
Natron was one of few Negaversers who hadn't attacked him. Not that Remarque ever suffered terrible injuries, but it was still pretty damn refreshing. See, he could get used to this--just chatting up agents when they crossed his path. Almost made it feel like they really were allies.

Natron noticed the silence, and supposed Remarque had to be thinking. He wondered if he'd stepped into awkward territory, which was interesting because he normally wasn't all that socially perceptive.
"A year, huh? Then you must've started around the same time as Navi," he said. That seemed about right, from what the other Dark Mirror had told him. he wondered if Remarque had also been one of the civilians kidnapped into space, but he wasn't quite sure he was up for broaching that particular topic right now.
He nodded when Remarque said it was hard but worth it. "If it comes easy, then things usually aren't worth anything in the end." He said. Certainly there was a lot of work put into the conspiracies he believed in, it took time and effort to put together the truly crazy, complex web of things. "I've met Dark Mirrors before, actually. Leto and Navi." He was glad that he had, too, because meeting them had been thoroughly educational and had resulted in the Dark Mirror having a very high place in his personal esteem. After all, they wanted the same thing he did-to get the Senshi back in space where they belonged.
Natron really wouldn't have thought of attacking pretty much anyone at this point, band he was glad to get so many chances to just talk to people. Couldn't build a good conspiracy without good information, and he was getting plenty of it.

"Leto and Navi? Oh, my. I'm glad to hear that they're about," he said--with only the slightest hint of what might have been considered sarcasm. Though the girls and him didn't necessarily see eye to eye, that didn't mean he thought too much less of them. Naturally he was concerned for the well-being of his court, and considering how rarely he'd run into either of the girls while out patrolling, he was a bit pleased to hear that Natron had already met both of them. It was a bit of a relief to know that he didn't have to do the lay-down of the Dark Mirror Court, though also a bit of a disappointment that he didn't get to lay it all down. He'd become very fond of educating others about the Court he'd become so deeply involved in. In many ways, the Court had been good for him. Despite being in the middle of a very heated battle, it had calmed him in a way that civilian life never had—and probably never would.
"But, yes," he said, drifting back to the first statement. "I think I started just a bit before Navi, if I remember correctly. I think back when the Negaverse was running their ambush on the Surrounding. Leto was there when Ares drafted me into the Court, though. Which was just about as interesting as anyone's first large-scale battle in space, I suppose."
Women sliding out of mirrors, talking cats, sudden strange outfits.
If he hadn't already been living in space for a few weeks, he'd have thought it preposterous, but at the time? Well, looking back on it, it just seemed fitting. "…But if you're still new, I doubt you know much about all that," he stated, only the slight hint of a question in his voice.

The sarcasm rather flew over Natron's head. He could be ferociously oblivious at times, something akin to a skill. "I gotta say, meeting them was pretty educational." He said. He was glad that by the time he met a third Dark Mirror, he knew enough about the Court to not look like an ignorant newb like he had with Leto. He hated feeling like he didn't know things, and there seemed to be a lot of that lately.
"Ah, so you were one of the civilians that vanished last year too," it was a statement, not a question. Natron was always good at putting together the puzzle pieces. "Navi didn't mention that the Negaverse was up there, though." Though he supposed it made sense. That sounded pretty amazing, an allied coalition of Dark Mirror Senshi and Negaversers taking the fight somewhere the Senshi probably felt safe...
His brain managed to skip over the possibility of civilian casualties. Surely as the defenders of Earth, the Negaverse would have made sure to protect any civilians as best they could, and any deaths would be the fault of those nasty Order aliens.
"I really don't, just what got reported on the news and what I've heard from Navi." Of course he'd had his own theories, which had been, in a way, confirmed, but he wasn't exactly dumb enough to share those with someone who had been there.

"Ah," Remarque nodded slightly. He didn't know absolutely everything that the Negaverse had done, though he knew what he had seen during the battle that had occurred up there. "The Negaverse were a very large force up there. At the time, there weren't that many Dark Mirror Senshi. Ares and her original group were there—Leto and Requiem. Myself, and Danae," of whom he hadn't seen in ages (which might have been for the better, giving her rather odd nature). "Ares really went to town, though. I don't know how many she made, exactly," though he suspected that the rest of the Dark Mirror Senshi that he'd met during that meeting had been products of the battle. "There was a lot going on. You guys brought some big—I mean really big—youma. Didn't make a lot of a difference, though; the senshi ended up beating us out. Not a big deal," he shrugged.
"Place was a s**t hole, anyway." Some of it was interesting—the healing was a nice touch. Had some neat artifacts. A library you couldn’t read anything in. The Mirror Pools," he said after a short moment. "…I liked those."
Of course, that might have been because that was where he'd first met Ares—or because he'd spent three days straight just dreaming about them. Perhaps he was being too harsh on the Surrounding—or was just bitter that things hadn't gone as well as they had planned up there. He finally shrugged. "It was an interesting experience. I suppose I wouldn't mind going back up in space sometime. I'm surprised they wouldn't teach you about that. Seems like it might be important to your nega-history lessons."

Natron nodded. "So there were a lot of Dark Mirrors awakened up there? Wow," he said. Fascinating. How large was the Court, anyway? He really had to meet as many as possible. He nodded at the mention of large youma. "Well, I mean, if there were lots of Senshi, gotta bring the big guns," he considered. He was still rather creeped out by youma. They looked a lot like evil space monsters. But, well, they were on his side, sort of, soooo.
"Huh, I dunno, I would've liked to see it at least." Space, man. It was space, that was cool enough for him.
He looked a little mabarrased and scuffed a shoe against the ground. "Well, I mean, I really haven,t gotten a history lesson, other than what people have told me." He said. "Nothing official." He probably should've asked Painite or Benitoite, but he hadn't. And he felt rather remiss for it. But, hey, he was getting bits and pieces and putting together the picture now, right? That counted for something.

"You'll get one," Remarque insisted. "I'm sure they're just giving you time to settle in before catching you up. A lot's happened, so I figure it might be a little overwhelming if they suddenly drop all that info on you at once. Hell, I've only been around for a year-ish, but things have been going on for longer than that. I'm still finding things out. But," he shrugged. "I'm sure you'll get an earful of all you've missed. Benitoite was a good source of information, he filled me in on a few things, so if you know him, chat him up. If you don't know him, probably best you do. He's also pretty useful when it comes to making sure you know how to take care of yourself. You fight? Or, at least know how to defend yourself?" he asked; the male didn't look particularly useless, though he of all people knew that looks could be deceiving. He also happened to know that not everyone started this war knowing how to box or brawl, and among all the things he hoped for in the future, all the new recruits being wiped out was not among them.

Natron nodded. Several years' worth of history of a war that had been going on in secret really didn't seem like a fair thing to dump all at once. He was pretty used to having to sort through lots of information, but...well. "I know Benitoite, yeah, I can ask him to fill me in. Or Painite," he named both of the Generals he knew. Surely they'd have plenty of info for him!
The question of his ability to fight was kind of an awkward one. "Uh, sort of? I know how to hit things and pelting a dodgeball can be pretty effective?"
In other words, yeah, no, he really couldn't.

Remarque gave Natron a good, long stare, and it was obvious what he was thinking without him actually even saying anything. Throwing a dodgeball did not, in the slightest, count as being very effective. "I suppose, if you appreciate chasing after it every time you throw it. No, I meant more in hand-to-hand combat."
Which was more effective than any sort of weapon, he always figured. There were too many variables to consider when dealing with a weapon and there really wasn't any alternative when it came to the satisfaction a good, well placed punch provided.
"Benitoite, who is very good for information, and I have been getting together for a few weeks now with some of the newer recruits. You should talk to him about that, too. The next time you see him, no rush. Painite's shown up a few times to give some tips on fighting. Can be very helpful if you've got questions or want to pick up some tips on how to defend yourself. You know. In case you ever lose your dodgeball or something."
