He went in search of the young man he’d meant to talk to after the victory the two courts had shared. He should honestly have searched for him earlier, things had simply ‘gotten complicated’ before. He should be easy enough to find now though, there were few uniforms he had ever seen that was so bright. Small wonder the poor young man had become such a target.

He teleported from spot to spot around the city in search of him, one of the nice fringe benefits of being a general king was you could teleport a great number more times. High vantage points and well-mirrored locations were his targets of course. He thought it likely that young man would be active. He did at last see a glimpse of the colorful uniform and teleported himself closer.

“Excuse me.” He said by means of introduction.”

Remarque wasn't in the slightest prepared for such grand company this evening; he'd been out to gather a little energy, maybe bump heads with a knight or two. This seemed so much more interesting.

It was hard to miss the General King, and what he lacked in size, he made up for in presence. He had only met the male once, and it certainly wasn't the best impression Remarque had ever left on someone, he was sure. Still, Zinkenite had resolved an issue and prevented him from knocking in the face of some moronic agent, so Remarque owed him thanks for that, at least. And for helping him get Acubens out of danger—even if she was a brat about the whole thing. He stood a bit straighter, perhaps simply as some sort of subconscious reaction to being in the presence of someone on par with Ares—or perhaps it was an equally subconscious desire just to look down at the male.

"You," he greeted, perhaps not as formally as he should have. "Zinkenite, aren't you?" It was a name he'd heard, but not one he'd been given. That the male had said 'excuse me', Remarque could only assume that he'd wanted his attention. "Something I can help you with?"

“I am, General-King Zinkenite of the Negaverse, you’re Eternal Sailor Remarque of the Dark Moon Kingdom, am I correct?” he offered a hand to the taller man, a firm but not painful squeeze. “I hadn’t had a chance before, but I did want to say I was fairly impressed overall, with how you handled yourself, and your aggressors during our recent collaboration. I’ve seen others give up, and give up on souls a lot less, oh, feisty than, what was her name?” He arched his eyebrows thoughtful. “Cornrows wouldn’t stay down.”

“Thank you for that. How is it going with her? She seemed, perhaps less than receptive?”
PostPosted: Tue Sep 18, 2012 7:29 pm

"Remarque, yeah," he replied , taking the hand and offering a similar shake to the one Zinkenite provided. If he was intimidated by the General-King, he did a fabulous job of hiding it. Negaversers had a habit of making him suspicious—not that he would jump to admit it—and knowing that he stood before a man with powers he couldn't dream to rival left him naturally wary.

He could have gone the humble route and pretended like what he'd done during that ambush had been nothing, but he figured if he was going to play punching bag for the senshi, he might as well get some extra credit for it. It wasn't like he hadn't gotten in his fair share of fighting, though certainly he'd spent more than a modest amount of time keeping his eye out for a number of others.

"I haven't seen Cornrows—Acubens—since the ambush, actually. Don't know why she suddenly decided we were mortal enemies. Before the ambush, she was fawning over the Dark Mirror Court." He shrugged, and while he might feign that the situation didn't bother him, he was rather irked at the sudden change the super senshi had displayed. "She might come around yet, I don't know. Something changed her mind about the whole thing, so I'd like to figure out what and correct her before she makes a greater fool of herself."

Zinkenite nodded thoughtful. “Hmm… well, from personal experience be careful If they think they can gain information by HAVING her faun all over your court she may do it just for that end.” He signed looking resigned to that idea.

“Perhaps, you would be amenable to finding a roof top and sharing other persons of interest with me? I’d rather know about them ahead of time and not do injury to them, at least not personally, if I can avoid it? I can fetch us tea, something to nibble on, we can share secrets and stomping grounds if you’d care for it?”

Very casual really. “If I see her, cornrows I mean, I could try and speak to her on your behalf, your courts behalf.”
PostPosted: Tue Sep 18, 2012 8:11 pm

Rooftops were not necessarily Remarque's favorite place, but who was he to refuse Zinkenite? The concept was an interesting prospect as well—exchanging information? He'd mostly considered that to be Leto's role, though he was in need of another meet up with her. While a part of him was hesitant to offer information of potential persons of interest, what was the worst that could come of it? Remarque was careful with giving Acbuens information, but Zinkenite was supposed to be an ally. If he couldn’t be trusted, who in the Negaverse could?

"Sounds like a plan," he said with a conformational nod. "If you see Acubens, feel free to do as you please. I don't know what's gotten into her head, but if you can talk it out of her, be my guest. Otherwise, just tell her I'm looking for her, I guess." He could only hope that there was something to be savaged from the girl; a lot of effort had been put into winning her over and it would be a downright shame if they'd lost her. "Now—you have a preferred rooftop or is anywhere fine?"

“Somewhere it’d be hard to interrupt us if you’re alright trusting me to teleport you somewhere.” He said with a crinkle at the edge of his eyes. It was the hint of a smile that was obscured behind his mask. “Are you alright with food from a vending cart or should I fetch us something a little more formal?”

he tilted his head to one side watching your face for a reaction. “I’m open to requests, I will even go so far as to teleport a mirror for you to some inconvenient for others location should you so request it for indulging in my, well, inquisitive nature.”

It was terribly difficult to read emotions when they were concealed behind a mask, so Remarque could only go by tone and words. Zinkenite did not seem desperate enough to be suspicious, though was making ample effort to accommodate the eternal senshi. "…No, that won't be necessary," he decided finally. He couldn’t think of a place he'd want a mirror that there wasn't already, though that Zinkenite had offered suited him well enough. "Vending cart is more than adequate, thank you."

Remarque couldn't imagine something a little more formal—particularly when it seemed his favorite food of late had consisted of fast food. "And I suppose I trust you fine enough when it comes to teleporting." What was the worst that could happen? The sensation wasn't exactly pleasant—he'd learned that much from Benitoite—but it wasn't debilitating or sickening, just odd.

He vanished for a moment and re-appeared moments later with something from a ‘Greek’ cart if you had to guess from the cheesy smiling Zeus, he also had a small ‘soda tray, tucked into one arm. “I do hope that’s alright, it was the last cart I saw before I ‘popped’ over here.” He offered an apologetic shrug and then a free hand. “Shall we?”

When his free hand was accepted, he took a light grasp and you both vanished to reappear atop one of the city’s taller buildings. Carefully positioned back from the edge because there was technically no ‘roof access’ at this area, that was below you away from the sloped areas and the leering gargoyles.

The wind was sharp and fierce, the food likely to chill quickly but the view, the view was outstanding. That and the fact that Zink had just taken a seat on one of the gargoyles might help make it feel a touch like something out of a comic book.

It wasn't the teleporting that had Jett momentarily frozen from Zinkenite left him, but the view. Remarque did not often venture to rooftops, so to see the city in such a way was breathtaking. Or that was just the cold winds icing up his lungs.

Either way, Remarque lingered where he stood for a moment before drawing himself away and taking a seat near the General-King. "Quite a view," he noted. "It surprises me that you'd have time to find places like these when you've been so busy. Two recently, at least—right? Senshi that you've gotten to, I mean. Eos, I know was you. She was singing praises. Was Albireo a product of yours, too?"

He wasn't upset that they had joined the Negaverse and not the Dark Mirror Court, though it was a subject that perplexed him greatly. He knew little about the Negaverse's methods by which to turn Senshil he knew only that they had been more successful in adding numbers to their rank than the Dark Mirror Court had been of late.

“I wouldn’t be too surprised.” He countered “Finding places like this, is quite simple when you spend part of your day wandering around as a civilian. Anywhere you can see, as long as you know there is room to stand then all you need to do is be able to teleport. Basically it takes only energy, and I have more of that than most.”

He took one of the drinks and peeled back the tiny tab to let him take a drink before nodding. “But yes, I brought Albiero to our fold as well. Three recent people honestly but that would be bogging you down in details.”

He glanced over and watched your face. “I believe you had a new recruit from this last endeavor too?” He offered. “I imagine you might have the history of the Blood Moon Court working against you to a degree.”
PostPosted: Wed Sep 19, 2012 4:23 pm

The Dark Mirror Court might have had the history of the Blood Moon Court working against him, but the Negaverse had their history working against them. At least he could argue that—while they had been founded from the Blood Moon Court—their purpose was a completely different one. Hell, Ares had left the Blood Moon Court to make her start with the Dark Mirrors—didn't that count for anything?

"Mjolnir," he replied to Zinkenite as he considered the idea. "She's doing a decent job of settling in. Seems enthusiastic about her new life. Albireo was looking for a place to live, I was thinking about trying to introduce the two or something. She seems a lot happier now, Albireo." It might be a bit of a random tangent to go off on, but Remarque had felt great relief to see the senshi with hope in her eyes. When he'd known her from her White Moon, she'd always seemed despondent and unhappy. "Eos, too," he noted, thinking of the girl's placidity and lack of enthusiasm from when she'd belonged to the White Moon.

If Remarque had ever needed a sign, they'd given it to him.

Unsure that he'd ever return to this roof again, he took his time to appreciate the view. Zinkenite had helped himself to a drink, so Remarque figured it fair enough he did, too. He took one of the beverages, peeled back the tab and took a small swig. When he finished, he lowered the drink and said, "I'm glad you've given them a cause to work towards. I was hoping those two, especially, would come over to us one day."

“To our courts then, to the unification under Chaos and the strength our alliance brings.” He lifted the cup in a small toast. “Lord knows we can use what help we can find. While they are disorganized, they have numbers on us nonetheless. While I would love to say that our last victory is the turning of the tide, they can still defeat us with far too great an ease should enough of them organize.”

He sighed at the thought. It was hard to admit that they, for all their resources that spanned the world, were still having difficulty in this strong hold but it was true, and it was something that they all needed to know.

“We need more people like you, leto, your queen…even your new recruit and all her enthusiasm. It’s good to see them happy after, it’s good to know that they can be content once the veil of ‘Order’ is lifted from their eyes.”
PostPosted: Thu Sep 20, 2012 1:07 am

That was something Remarque would willingly toast to. And bask in the attention of. It was nice to be noticed by someone as esteemed as Zinkenite, and while he wouldn't criticize Ares' mannerisms while in the presence of a Negaverser, it was somewhat enticing to be invited to conversation by someone that had achieved so much. He might not have heard tales of Zinkenite's prowess in the Negaverse, but Remarque figured you had to do something to earn that much power.

"I'm not sure what's so appealing about it," Remarque replied, sounding a bit annoyed with the idea of Order. "Why would you want that? Lost, without direction, without a leader. Without any idea what you're doing. And—for what? A greater good? If they ever managed to finish us, how many of them would be able to give up fighting? How long would it be before they turned against each other?" he prompted.

It was a situation he'd considered, briefly, a few times between nursing his injuries after a hard fight or when he had nothing better to think about in the shower. With so many of them willing to fight without a legitimate cause, how long would it take them to justify fighting each other?

It was all just a hypothetical situation. They might be lacking in numbers, but Remarque figured they made up for it in dedication and strength. And the likelihood of order winning? Remarque considered it unthinkably low.

“I suspect they are confusing anarchy for freedom. The appeal that they must each and every one of them believe that they deserve to lead no only those who trust them, but all who do not trust them, do not know them, and perhaps even dislike them as well. Would that I could have been a fly on that wall, no matter how briefly to hear how their meeting went. It would have been such an insight into how bad things truly are for them.

I do know they blame us for abandoning their own planets, which are in ruins!” He waved a hand and then glanced curiously towards you. “Can you travel to your own worlds? I think the only one of ours who can is Alkaid, but she is ascended, quite a cat of another coat.”

“I wonder if they don’t already stand on the on the brink of fighting each other, they already divided themselves it seems when the Blood Moon court was created.
