Earlier in the day, while at work, Xi-Wang had told Jett they needed to talk - in mirrorspace. He knew it sounded ominous, he knew how he sounded, but it would be best to talk there considering it dealt directlyh with mirrorspace and it's numerous secrets. He'd been sitting on this for months, as he'd told Jett, but the other knew he'd been busy with moving and his half sister turning up. Work had been going well - they were busy and growing as much as they could within the confines of the building they occupied. It was with time that he'd been learning more about antiques, he took the most interest in Asian pieces, and recently he'd asked Jett to see if he couldn't get his hands on some solid jade rings. He'd given the other the sizes he needed but he hadn't yet told Jett who they were for, since they weren't his size and he already had a band of jade about one of his fingers. He would let Jett guess what they were for, as he was sure the other could guess.
He'd said after dinner they should meet, incase mirrorspace kept them for a while, but he'd also arrived ahead of time himself. It was nervous which had him arriving so early, something expected of him, and so the eternal sat on the floor by the golden mirror waiting. In his lap was a panda plushie as he tried to calm his nerves, as well as busy himself while he waited, it was just so damn boring in mirrorspace most times.
"I hope this goes well..." Whispering as he tilted his head upward...towards the white ceiling. "I wish we could decorate and things wouldn't move." That rooms wouldn't move and furniture wouldn't move...but it would. This place should be made into a home of sorts for everyone...or a safe house for those who might need to go into hiding. They were in a war after all, dead as it seemed to be, and some might need to hide. But here couldn't be that place sadly.

'After dinner' could mean many things, but Jett had made sure to be quick about it. He didn't want to let anyone down, wanted to make sure that if something serious was going on that they could get it sorted out quickly. He was so paranoid about people wanting to leave the court, but he trusted Kiuchi. Although, it only made him more concerned for the male.
Remarque powered up as soon as he got a moment to do so; he had told his family that he wouldn't be long and Raven understood; the girls were busy watching their favorite television show so he knew he had some time. Meeting in Mirrorspace made it easy and he stepped through still fairly early on in the evening.
He felt Kiuchi almost as soon as he saw him; the dark colors of his outfit were in such stark contrast to the white of Mirrorspace. He saw the panda plush, the expression on his face, and was quick to figure out what was going on so he didn't worry about anything.
"Kiuchi," he greeted. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting for long. I've been worried that something was wrong. What's going on?"

Looking up as he sensed the other he smiled, nodding his head in greeting. "No - not that long." Huffing out as he stood up he shook his head slowly. "I should have said something sooner...back in February when it happened. I've been busy though...as you know." He didn't mind talking to the other about personal things while at work, so long as customers weren't around, since they were in the same court. It made sense to let the other know what was going on in his life...they were family as far as he was concerned - so was the whole court.
"I was wandering in mirrorspace back then....and i heard someone...a male. They were trapped in a mirror and wanted help to get out. I tried - I really did. I was able to reach thru and grab their hand...but it all dissolved and the mirrors shattered. He said he was lost...that the mirrors are unstable, I don't know if he means his or ours or both, and he fell through after they cracked." His voice had started to get higher and quicker as he paced about the open area. The sheer fabrics of his uniform trailing behind him, caught in the breeze of him moving as he was.
"He said he should be dead - he'd been trapped so long...but he said it wouldn't let him die. Like something was alive and was able to keep him alive...he wanted to die or escape I think...I mean I know he wanted out but I'm not sure if he wanted to die but maybe as an escape it would be preferred to remaining." Shrugging a bit as he moved he turned his dark eyes onto the other and paused for a moment.
"He sounded like he was in a panic and desperate." And it bothered him that he couldn't help, that someone was perhaps suffering still. "I'd had his hand out of the mirror - on our side!" He'd been so damn close. Though he also could have wound up bringing someone unsavory out of their confines. He couldn't help but think he'd have been saving someone....someone good.
"The mirrors all shattered and the hall under my feet gave away and dropped me elsewhere....I - I don't know. I wasn't thinking at the time that he could have been like that queen...but could our mirrors and his be the same...could they be a prison for someone...? Maybe for more than just him?" Maybe theirs one day somehow? Could they find this person again perhaps and talk more?
"I don't know if that hallway is still here...somewhere." Or the mirrors somehow as well. Letting his plushie vanish he threw his hands up and gave a helpless look to the other. He was frustrated and felt as helpless as usual. Mirrorspace was alive in it's own way and it tended to keep them from things and fighting against it was nearly impossible. They hardly knew anything about it either.

Remarque frowned a bit as he listened, crossing his arms over his chest. It was important information--important enough that he found he was a bit surprised that Kiuchi had kept it a secret so long. February felt like a lifetime ago, and Remarque found that he was always treading with great caution in Mirrorspace.
He'd never seen a person in here--no one except for Altea, and she was just bad news.
Remarque listened raptly, committing every word to memory and trying to envision everything as Kiuchi had seen it.
"...Mirrorspace has always spat them back out into Destiny City," he said after a train of thought. "When it has drained just enough, it returns them." He shifted positions, arms still crossed tightly over his chest. "...I would by lying if I said I had any idea what secrets it hides. But that's why I've always said not to venture too far without someone with you."
Though, he didn't listen to his own advice and often went out on his own.
"...Were you able to make out any details about him?"

"An old worn glove...it looked like it had been through a lot...that's all I could see. I heard him but I never saw his face. I'd assume he looked young...by what he was saying and how he sounded. I doubt he's aged properly." Mirrorspace grabbed up people to drain? That was news to him but he wasn't surprised.
"Always spat people back as far as we know, though I never knew it took people on it's own, but it seems like maybe it doesn't always do it. Someone was kept but they aren't from here...so mirrorspace has access to elsewhere...like with Altea and how she was able to reach us. Maybe it can reach elsewhere as well and grabbed someone?" It was an idea although a bit scary to think about. "What if it were to spit someone from elsewhere out into Destiny City? Or let them wander here? In mirrorspace. I wish we could find him again...or at least try."
Should they go looking for this person? Would Remarque go for the idea of at least trying to find and rescue this person? The idea of being trapped....to be so alone and unable to die. "If mirrorspace is elsewhere...are there more of us? Elsewhere...." Trailing off, almost hopeful, he sighed. He doubted it...they'd have run into them by now - right? Ones like them but from other planets.

Remarque shook his head and clarified, “You can bring people to Mirrorspace and leave them here. I’ve done it for particularly troublesome people. It drains them, never to the point of death. Just enough to knock them out for a while. Spits them back out in Destiny City. I confess, I’ve done it for people during bad storms, too. Mirrorspace isn’t perfect, but it’s not the worst place to sleep during a flood.”
He didn’t want to alarm the Senshi so was somewhat quiet about his thoughts of someone being kept here for longer than a day or two. He supposed it made sense--if someone had been put in Mirorrspace and didn’t have a mirror to be returned through, Mirrorspace might keep them. But for how long? And if they were awake enough to communicate, did that mean they’d been brought here to be drained?
His stomach clenched a bit at the thought of Altea, of her mischief and lies. He didn’t want other members of the Court to be manipulated, especially by someone he had never made contact with and couldn’t judge.
“To be honest,” he answered, “I don’t know. I don’t think there are more of us--Dark Mirror Senshi. From what I’ve gathered, we’re exclusive to Earth. Altea seemed surprised to see us--we were new to her. But I severely doubt we’re the first things Mirrorspace has created. I don’t know what’s lurking out there. I need you to be careful. If you run into something, I don’t know what it’s intention is. So be careful.”

"I didn't know mirrorspace would drain a person who is brought in...." That was news to him, but it wasn't something he'd have ever done either, so he had no way of knowing. "I understand keeping people out of storms by sending them here to sleep...like homeless people?" He questioned with a bit of a smile tugging his lips upward, he would do it to keep a homeless person out of a storm. It was as kind as he could be.
"I still wish we could move in and keep mirrorspace from losing our things. Bedrooms...or a set up living room." He could still remember asking, when he'd had no where to go, if he could love in mirrorspace and sleep there. He still wished they could do it, though he didn't need to now.
"I will - I'll be careful. And you think mirrorspace has made things before us? But what.....and can it make new things along side of us? I wonder about the chaos seed as well....and if that does anything or can...and what? Why it's held where it is and can't be reached and just hovers there above us all....." He wanted to know more and explore more - he really did...especially now. it made him want to hunt down every secret he could. "We need to understand mirrorspace and the chaos seed more...and I only think the seed since it's here and somehow connected to things." From what he could guess anyway. It was part of Altea and she had been helping it devour places and recycle them...which gave them what they had - right?

Remarque found himself nodding, though there was a lot to take in and respond to. "There's a lot of things we need to understand more," he could at least agree upon. "The problem is that Mirrorspace--and being a Dark Mirror Senshi--doesn't exactly come with a manual."
He planted his hands on his hips and sighed.
"I have no doubt that one day we'll master it. But until that day, we have to do our best. It's not easy, but I'm proud of everyone who is trying. But. Yes, I do think Mirrorspace has made things before us. Maybe it can make things we haven't seen. I only know what I've encountered, and that includes Altea and all her," he gestured vaguely. "everythings. But I don't recommend playing with that thing on top of the citadel. It's got a crack in it, and even if we could get to it, there's no telling that it wouldn't just turn someone into the monster Altea became. Keeping looking for answers, but do it cautiously. Always with a partner. Every now and then I wander and I find something in Mirrorspace. Traces of..."
His voice trailed off. "Something. Always pieces, never anything substantial. But. We'll have our answers, one day. Just don't give up, all right? And don't be reckless. That's all I ask. I don't want to lose you."
