Shadows of Africa
Shadows of Africa is a shop that is loosely based on the Disney hit "The Lion King" and a little more of its sequals "The Lion King II" and "The Lion King 1/2". Also there are many other animals as well, but all are strictly from the African savannah.

I have dedicate this thread to the pets I obtain from dustfeather and Meepfur.
This is where I have the details of each pet I have or am planning to obtain. If I somehow obtain a pet very similar to the one I am aiming for then it will take it's place and the progress I have made on that quest will either be donated to the giver OR used for another quest.
Another thing about this page is that it has logs of EVERY RP any of my pets have been in and are to be used in breedings. Anyone who wishes to use them for their breeding then they may use them.

The main animals that are known as SoA are:
arrow Lion: 1-6 cubs

arrow Cheetah: 1-5 cubs
arrow Wild Dog: 1-14 pups
arrow Hyena: 1-5 pups
arrow Ethiopian Wolf: 1-14 pups
These 6 main pets have Four stages.
Cub/Pup - From birth to early childhood, this is the 'cute and bumbling' stage where the cub or puppy goes from being deaf and blind to a tiny little troublemaker, curious about everything. They're most vulnerable to predators during this stage, and often need some protection if they wish to survive.
Juvenile - The 'young teen' years, juveniles are in that troubling time between cubhood and adolescence. They are often a handful, occasionally rebelling against their parents and being generally obnoxious at times.
Adolescent - The 'late teen' years, adolescents are on the brink of adulthood. This is the time when young male lions of most prides are forced to leave the pride. Both males and females can breed during this period, although it's much like a teenage pregnancy and is not always looked upon with favor by others.
Adult - The final stage, adults have finally grown into themselves, both physically and (we hope) mentally. They are able to start their own pack, clan, coalition, or pride, if they wish, or their own family.

Bio:
A cub born of a single parent. Ger noticed at a young age that other cubs had something he didn't, a father. Ger confronted his mother and she told him his name and he was out there. The cub sought to find his, sparking his intrest in adventure. He wanted to see everything, prides, lands, seas, and his father. Being young, he didn't know much so he spoke with many elders, Mufasa, Sarabi, Jamaa, and some others. He learned of the Firekin Lands, the Mist Weavers, the Elephant Graveyard, and the jungle prides.
Ger dreamt of seeing his father. Just once he wanted to, just one time to meet him, speak with him. He wondered where his genes came from. He wondered why he didn't live with Jahazara and him. He had so many questiosn for him. Ger had a goal. During his trips, to the Jungle and the Elephant Graveyard, he met a young female lioness from Pride Rock. She was an intresting youth, a flirt. As the two walked to the Elephant Graveyard, he grew a little attached to her. Being seperated in that dreadful place made it apparent.
When the day came to venture to the Mistweaver's valley, he met a rather strange leopard. At first the leopard wanted nothing to do with the cub, rejected him. However, when he said he was leaving to the Firekin, the mere mention of it, made the leopard react. Kujack was his name. Kujack took the cub away, taking him somewhere else, he was protecting him. Ger felt something inside of him growing. Something he never felt before, Kujack wanted to protect him and Ger was getting a feeling of wants and needs. Kujack became a fatherly figure to him and the two stuck together. However that was not the only reason, Ger was lost.
Slowly, Ger was growing more and more and was becoming more like Kujack more and more. The two seemed unseperable, mostly on Ger's part. Now there's a lioness that has been around that Kujack seemed to find a little fancy in. Obviously, the two didn't know what was going on but Ger certainly did. Now he was just waiting to see where the two's relationship will lead.
Ger has grown more and more distant from his Dad and Aysha, who was now pregnant. The two were worried about him, but he still strayed from them. His dreams were of his past, his friends and family back at Pride Rock, but those always conflicted with that of his present, his life with Kujack and Aysha. He didn't want to think of them, he wanted escape, he became an insomniac. He would scratch himself, run vast distances, hunt difficult game, and swim in cold water just to keep himself awake. He was on conflict himself.

The son of Suzuko and Argoko. Taken on his father's traits; noble, helping, kind hearted, and especially his fur color. He lived with his father for many a years after his mother died to an attack. When his father told him to leave to fufil his mother's wish, "Go to the Pride Lands and join my pride. They will care for you more than I ever could have." However Trig refused to go. But when he brought up the subject of finding a female for himself and couldn't do so with him around he immediatly left.
Trig is a nice lion. He feels obligated to do anything that he is asked, has yet to make an exception. Most of his time he goes to the ocean to watch its beauty.

The son of Suzuko and Argoko, or Kroga. He lived with Kroga in the Elephant Graveyard since his mother passed away. Living with his father he learned the necessary skills to survive on his own. However when Kroga died from a strange illness he told him to go to Pride Rock and join their pride for protection. He did not want to go, but it was his father's wish and he followed it.
Kinari is a male who treats females as tools, no one has showed him how to treat on. He uses them merely for pleasure and leaves them to bear his litter. He never comes back. Without a mother to care for him and with only his father's influence he learned that War was all there was in life. War was everything, power was everthing.

A wild dog born into a dutiful family. Born with two siblings, a brother and a sister, he has taken from his mother and siblings at a young as by his father. Years passed as the memories of them faded, and only of his father remained. Ophos prepared his son to take on thefamily duty to protrol the land they love in order to protect it. Growing up, that was all knew.
During one of his days, he ran into two females, Temari and Yakuti. Being the first time actually meeting a female face to face put some strange feelings in the male; nervious, worry, fear, and love? Scared when the two showed signs of affection, he fled.
On a day in the Elephant Graveyard after running a few stray hyenas back into their home, Jamaa caught a scent of a pregnant Wild Dog, Temari. After helping her, the two grown attached. Temari joined the Mpinzani Pack, led by Dhati and his mate, Jamaa did also soon after. Since her litter was born, he has grown to be a loving father and mate. From there he befriended a lone hyena as a son, and Yakuti as a sister.
The day finally came when his daughter, Temari's daughter, was taken from them. Jamaa nearly lost his mind. He vented his anger and sorrow on a clearing where Yakuti, the hyena son, was unfortunately nearby. Jamaa nearly lost his son, and Temari that night. The scar on his muzzle was his proof of that. It was also that night he practiced his perfected, or near, tongue and told Temari those three words of devotion and passion. The day after he confered his family den to Yakuti before sending the hyena to the graveyard to live and grow with his own kind.

Bio:
A pup born from Jamaa and Temari along with two other brothers. Being the black sheep with the red fur, he is also the oldest and is blind. He relies of his youngest brother, Agizo a lot. They play together and usually together. Often times, when he is in trouble, frightened, or worried, he comes directly to Agizo. It would seem that all of his affection is toward his brother than any of the others of his family or step-siblings.

Bio:
Powers: Kiegan's powers deals with the physical connections of things big and small. By manipulating what is attached, he could break and remake. However, his body is very weak from his frozen state. His powers take the energy that his adult stage would require, however at an Adol stage, it takes a great deal to sustain. When he exerts too much energy, his body will temporary break down making him lose his powers for a good while to recoup. In this state, he is very vulnerable and unprotected (excluding his immortality)
arrow Ray Connection - He is able to extend a portion of his energy from his body to bond itself from the object to him. This makes it like a mere extension of his body. This also means, whatever happens to the connected will hurt him too but on a minor scale.When dealing with living things, the living object could deny the connection. He is able to draw up many objects at once and move them to his will, usually rocks, sand, etc. Downside, the more he connects to and the further it goes, the more energy it takes from him. Another is that if anything pierces forcibly, the connection will break.
arrow Chain Connection - A sub-ability of the Rey Connection. After having connecting to another object, it acts as a base to extend the ray a bit further to connect to multiple objects to the last. He often makes tiny golems from pebbles to entertain himself. Downside, the connections cannot extend too far from the already connected object.
arrow Dissipate - A self skill. By breaking his body down into particles, he could disappear for a minute or two before reappearing. Down side, he loses his powers.
arrow Barrier - a thin layer of energy is always around his body (excluding when he loses his powers). He could extend and compact it with ease with no side affect. He can engulf anyone nearby if he wanted to. The bearer just keeps out odors, rain, and temperature if he wanted to.
Concept/History: Kiegan, God of Connection, was a friend of Athrun, God of Loneliness, and Kivu, Goddess of Unity. However, that all changed when something they did destroyed it all. Athrun was a God who fell in love with a mortal lioness. Kiegan was about the same age and loved his friends. Kiva was recently reincarnated after a long life as Kiegan grew attached to having her around. Kiegan and Kiva sympathized and considered helping him if he needed it. Athrun fell in love and she felt the same. That was when Kivua and Kiegan came up with an idea; collaberate their powers, physical connections and emotional connections, to tie the God's and Moral's hearts together. Somehow they managed to do so, but the effects were unknown of the two's powers together.
The day Athrun's mate and family were slaughtered before his very eyes, their connection broke, shattering him. As a God he could not die, however, he suffered such an emotional pain and he constantly saw those around him as if they were dying. Mkodi was furious of what happened. Athrun was frozen into his adolescent stage of life and then turned to Kiegan and Kiva. Immediately, Kiegan stepped forward and took all of the credit to save his friend because she was still young in her new life. His punishment, no longer allowed to "try touching other's hearts" with his powers, and hindered the natural growth of his powers making him work for mastery. Rumor has it that Kiva was also punished for not standing up for herself, but her punishment was unknown.
Kiegan now seeks to find his friend to apologize for what he done to him, and if possible make it up to him in any way he can.

Ezekiel, son of Ger and Trina. Named after his father’s best friend and ‘brother’, Ezeoha, he inherited a lot of Ger’s side of the family, more in fact of the royal line as his father once told him. His eyes had the royal family’s crimson red and his fur was of his father’s. His markings upon his shoulders must’ve deprived somewhere from his great-great-grandfather’s line. His mane was of his Great-Uncle, Malik. Ezekiel comes with many other names such as Zeki and Zex. However, he preferred only the females to have their choice, others must refer to him as Zeki, otherwise he’d…. well, ignore them.
At a young age, cubs’ minds are very impressionable, and his was no different. Ger had let him tag along during his usual runs to see everyone. Everyone as in the family and any friends he met along the way. During each stop, Ger would take the time to catch up on things that he missed and he would ‘play’ with the relative.
Ger had taught him how to be strong both mentally and physically. During the day, the two would wake before sunrise for a quick run to the water hole and back, and if the sun still has not risen, then they would pounce practice. Afterwards, they’d sleep until the buffalo would come stampeding’. Morals, strength, and the ability to defend him, discipline, just the fundamental “good qualities”, Ezekiel picked up a lot of things from his father, many things that would keep him alive and well founded in life.
Kinari, his uncle, would usually be the last on the list. From him, Zeki learned some things cub shouldn’t know for a long time, however, it is better done now than to explain it later when they are hormonal and well… Uncontrollable. Whenever Ger was doing something else, Kinari would teach the rules of nature such as how matings work, the difference of genders, how to be strong, and from time to time the rules of being a poly. Luckily, Ger doesn’t know. Trigger, another uncle, is always there with Kinari as he is Lord of the North House of a pride. Usually the two are close together so it just takes one trip. Trigger teaches him how to be strong in all aspects that his pride works under. Strength of the heart, mind, body, soul, friends, and family.
Trig, the oldest uncle, is always moving around. It was hard to find him, but he was always happy to see the large male. Ger had no issue with leaving him with Trig, in fact, at times he would insist. Trig was the wisest of the four brothers. They would walk along and talk about things like morals, how to be polite and well mannered to everyone, to be willing to protect those that one loves, and on spare times they would talk about philosophy and how things work and how things don’t. Zeki is always inspired by him to become the best and make his family proud of him.
Then there is Ezeoha. To put short, what doesn’t that guy teach him?
With all of those features rolled into one body, Zeki became a rather idea son for Ger. He knew how to take care of himself and how to do things some could not, at least not yet. Though he got the minimal understanding of the things that his uncles had taught him, he still understood them and uses them to their best... at least to their abilities. Ezekiel follows a code that Trig had spoke about, a knight’s code, Chivalry. Oddly… he sometimes takes it further than he should. He is usually happy regardless of the situation and sometimes psychotically polite. He has unerring compassion and an undying need to protect females if one seemed to be in trouble. Just don’t pin this guy against a girl in a fight because you’d know he’d lose. As a cub he is rather flirtatious at times and a bit of a charmer, but he just doesn’t quite know it. Unlike his Uncle Ez, he doesn’t quite grasp the concept of rejection quite yet so he is sort of immune to the affects of it. A bit philosophical at times but he tends to be goofy. Adventurous, a romantic, hunter, runner, and a bit of a dominant spirit, Zeki is a well-rounded guy.
However, there is a very brutal side to this one, derived from his experience with Kinari and Trigger. When he has a love(s) of his life harmed, even if she shows no affection back, he would blindly rampage after whomever harmed her with intent of murder. His blood has a faint mix of Firekin, one would believe that their genetic belligerence has became a part of him during times of grief.
But all in all, the day-to-day Zeki is very chivalrous and overly polite, but still hints of flirtation and charm when he smiles or does something rather…. “cute”.

Her one truth of the world was shattered. It was that day she became a death-seeker.
Azra believes in one truth that exists in the world, equivalent exchange. To gain, something of equal value must be lost. When she lost 10 lives, she hoped that something equivalent would come to her. But that did not happen in so she sought out a place to die peacefully and rejoin her loves.

The son born of the God of Loneliness and Azraceri. He and his brother Akiiki, both seers. He works to perfect his abilities. During his late nights, he often gets a dream of a sun beaming down on a moving object crossing a lush savannah. Dumu seeks to discover what it means, what was the object that moved? Every night since, Dumu gets dreams of strange images flashing before him. Often times he finds himself as an insomniac to avoid them, he has to find that moving object from his vision. Sometimes he could come off as a snot-nose jerk, but it is just his gruminess from lack of sleep. Often times he would have slight visions of the future when he is talking and ends up knowing things he asks for.

The once proud Alpha of a maned wolf pack located north of the Pride Lands. When Mizoga was born, Ashki expected the pup to be like him, big and strong, however the wolf was blind. When Usufii'moyo was born, he was given the mark of happiness. Ashki smothered the pup with love, more than he showed others, only other was his mate. When the pack ran Usu out, shortly after his mate fell ill and died...from a broken heart. Mizoga disappeared and without anyone left for him in the pack, he too leaves to get back the only shattered family he had. His main goal was finding Usufii.

Bio:
A wolf born into a spiritual pack and as the Alpha's offspring. He was gifted with a symbol of a long prospurious life. He was spoiled and pampered by everyone, even his father, Askikatazwa, who showed no affection but only to a selected few, loved him. The other pack members grew jealous, jealous to hate. Soon enough the entire pack ran the pup out of his home left uneducated of how to hunt and survive. He could only remember their screams, a cry, and a dark snicker.
Usu grew up with strange dreams which he thought nothing of, lived under a large Acacia tree, his den placed between to hills, and watched packs, herds, flocks, and families lived together. Usu didn't really live alone, he lived with the Acacia tree.
One day he ran into two maned wolves, Tajwar and Sesere. Usu was striken by love for Tajwar but ended up being rejected as she was pregnant with Sesere. Then two others, Zingatia and Saa'tayari. The two seemed nice seperately, but after Zing inpregnated Saa, he changed. After the pups were born, Zing took his son and ran away. Immediately, Usu came to Saa's side for comfort and soon enough loved. Not only then was Potebvu's and Kibu's god-father and uncle. Not long after, Tajwar confronted him wanting him to be her litter's god-father. Usu had to accpet, it was his nature.
Usu's dreams have grown more violant to the point of exhausting him. And the years of bottled up emotions, desires, thoughts and dreams were now manifesting itself into entirely new side to Usu. Something is happening and he doesn't know what. Has his bottled up self finally come out? Was it possible this other Usu is taking over? He only hopes nothing goes wrong since he forgets what happens afterwards.
The Bad Hunt
Usufii'moyo grew hungry, but still tired from the last hunt. His mind said no but the rest of him urged him on. He stalked a lone wild buffalo grazing in the clearing not too far away. Usu kept his body low, mimiking the lions he always watched. He was only a few feet from the buffalo. He took a step and then another, then his hind paw hit something. The noise startled the beast and gave away his presence. The beast charged at the wolf as he frantically fled. The wild animal bowled him over and over again. Usu was losing his strength the flee let alone stand up. Fortunately, the buffalo grew tired of the limp wolf and trotted away while he was unconscience.
Usu awoke to a darkened sky and a very painful, beaten body. He was able to muster enough energy to stand up and trot back to the tree, eft with scars and memories that he'll never forget.

Bio:
Kazi is usually very...quiet. He's constantly thinking about one thing or another, worrying about this or that even when there's nothing to worry about. In his family he was known to be the one who always thinks before he acts, though if the situation is extremely dire, he acts on impulse. He keeps his facial expressions under tight control, so one would have a very hard time telling whenever he's angry, sad, or even happy for that matter. He's a very hard worker, always determined to achieve his goal to the best of his ability. He's not very social though, but if you pal around with him enough he'll warm up a bit. He tends to shy away from larger crowds, claiming that it's much too loud, so he can be found almost anywhere that has a quiet atmosphere. He's not the type to stand down from a fight, unless it's absolutely necessary to do so. Kazi, at times, is quick to get angry when irked on a bad day, but for the most part he's a calm and collected.
Kazi's parents had died off a long time ago, when he was still quite a young cub. After a pack of rogue hyenas ambushed them, he lived a life of solitude meant for avenging his family's deaths. Kazi became a rogue, and, from the moment he stepped out of the Pride Lands up until he snapped the neck of the last hyena from that particular pack, dedicated his life to finding his family's killers. This type of life was relentless, and forced him at a young age to mature and learn to fend for himself. It was hard at first, but as the years passed he had grown used to it and was no longer affected by it. Kazi learned to hunt at an early age, though only hares and the sort were the only things he could afford to hunt. The restless night taught him to always be alert and ready to run if need be, and he learned to defend himself effectively as well. At about the time he neared the end of his adolescent age he found the pack of hyenas that was responsible for what happened many moons ago. Without warning, he charged at them, breaking into an all out battle with one lion against several of them. Kazi, who was fueled by his hunger for revenge, had won in the end, though he was bleeding badly from the fight. His memoirs of the battle were the scars on his eye and muzzle, though when he started off toward the Pride Lands, he had a sprained limb or two as well. He healed quickly from those, and within months, was back in the Pride Lands. By now, Kazi was a full grown lion, and in search of something to fulfill his life. Since his life's purpose of avenging his family has been completed, there was an emptiness that he felt he needed to fill. Now, he simply seeks to start a new life in his old home.

A cruel, powerful hyena. She has wandered all over Africa settling into any area she feels she wants to stay in. Whenever someone opposed her decision, their fates were in her paws then. After many moves and many red deeds, she found her way into the Pride Lands. As she lived for a week or two, welcomed yet still stared at, she met a male, a male she felt something for. However, he hated hyenas, he disliked them. He sent her to the graveyard where "all hyenas should live together." However, when he said that, he ran away from her. Did she do something? Was she something that hurt others more than physically?
Shira feels like the females of the sexes deserve to be the best. She has toned her body to become stronger than those of males. She was one that challenges others. Though she is stupid, she has her moments.

Sullen and unrefined, he takes a survival-of-the-fittest approach to life. He sees everything in terms of black or white, and rarely makes a wrong decision. His actions are dictated more by logic than by feeling. His character is a combination of movement and silence. A straightforward being, he worries little of future consequences before acting due to the belief that his way is the "right" way. Although his mind is like a machine, there is still a little goodwill as well as mercy left in him. He enjoys the feeling of empowerment, and has little regards for life.
History: Branded as a heretic and banished from his former pride, Adonai was once part of a group conspiracy against the king of the pride. However, just as plans were set into motion to perform a ku, a traitor amongst traitors arose and informed the king of their plot resulting in a brief skirmish between loyalists and idealists which in short, resulted in Adonai's banishment. Most of his associates had fallen in the midst of battle or were later executed by the hands of the king, personally. Very few had managed to escape the consequences of their own actions, however fortunatly for Adonai, being a close personal friend of the king, mercy was granted to him. The king announced his banishment from the pride and Adonai was exhiled into the wilderness, condemned to live a hard life alone. Reaping what he had sowed.
having wondered the wilderness for a good few years now, Adonai found himself within a personal paradise, an oasis almost. It was there he had met a lioness by the name of Tiah. As he was sleeping one night, under the full moon and starry night sky, the lioness ambushed him, attacking. Driven by hunger, she mistook him for prey. The two feircly fought, scratching and biting at one another. As the fight progressed, tension seemed to build as well as frustration between the two. What started out as a fight slowly began to blossom into something much more. As the morning sun rose, the two found themselves laying by eachothers side. With wounds licked and tensions gone, Adonai had found himself a mate. Or rather, a mate had found him. Tiah continued to follow him along his travels eventually growing on him. The two very close to eachother, they seemed almost inseperable

Ba’kru’s a jungle born and raised feline. Adopted into a family, he assumed the other members as his parents and siblings. He only has learned to hunt and live up in the trees only coming down to get his food, drink, or move to another tree. Some have seen him as a vandal as he defaces some trees with strange red powder found in some exotic nuts. He does not care what others say about him, he just finds pleasure in it and ensues it. Besides that, he’s a kind and sweet leopard to females and a jerk to males. That’s typical, right?
After losing most of his family already, most from falling from high up in the canopy or attacked by another predator, it was only he and his ill mother. She was already aging and she was weak and ill, however, he did all he could to help when he could. One day, while resting from a prior hunt, a young cheetah male zipped by under him able to grab his attention for a quick second. It zoomed by again when he called out. It stopped and they carried a somewhat conversation. The little male was of a family native to these parts of the jungle but lived out in the savanna when he was born. He spoke of how it was so opened and he was able to run about without hindrance. The animals, the food, the water, the trees, the way the little cub spoke about it, it just made him want to see it more himself. However, he was still bound to this place and he would gladly stay for his mother’s sake.
After his mother passed, the cub grew up; it was time for him to get going. He headed out upon the canopy to the jungle’s edge. There…. The expanse of the savanna lay before him as a lone leopard.
Ba’kru has an affinity for spots and females making cheetahs ideal. He has already had a fair share of rejections (to mention a few bad memories) of the leopardesses are the jungle. Rejection after rejection of his native members, and those of the same species no less, he had given up courting those and sought out those of the species that pushed him into the savanna. He wants to find a home first, a tree in the savanna where he can live up in and maybe construct a den underneath, near a waterhole. A place to call home with a female and a wide place for cubs, if no cubs, then at least more space for the two. He dreams of much but in short, it may be just a dream.

A jackel, once worshiped next to the God's of Egypt. He manipulated and double-crossed many to get what he needed and what had to be done. For this he was exiled and left to wander. He wanders about, manipulating and controlling, the only way he knows how to survive. He finds that the closer he is to Misinijiwa'ajali, the more he feels alive and well....in love.
Goma made friends with Jamaa and Topas, probably his ownly friends he made on his own that actually feel sympathy for the jackal. Topas helped him make a den and Jamaa has taught him a thing or two about the herbs around the Savannah and Forest that can be used for medicines. Though he is still learning he can tend some wounds to an extent.

An arrogant, absent-minded, easily annoyed, brawn over brains sort of guy. He is very rash where he goes head first into a situation where he has no idea what he is doing or what others around him are doing as well, there's the absent-minded part. He is almost always arrogant to those who he sees lower than him, anyone that is not of his own blood.
