Inari stretched his legs, they were longer now, more musculars. He had tried to tone his muscles and body as a whole to perfection, or as close as he could get to it. He flicked his tail and peered around with golden eyes. A new chapter was beginning for him, the chapter of his life as a cub and juvenile were over, he was nearly an adult now.
His white toes pushesd against the soil beneath his paws as he looked around. Perhaps today would be a good day tp try a hunt of larger prey, somehting bigger then fish, that'd be nice. But what else could he do? Hmmm...Mrost, yes, Inari needed to find Mrost again, show how he had imprved.
Perhaps then Mrost would have something for him to do...a mission even.
Then Inari would surely become a great warrior soon.
Inari began to pad around, head towards the borders of the Pridelands, perhaps he could do a bit more of training today, see how his balance improved, his strength, his speed. Perhaps something interesting would come across his way.

Kinari stalked the shadows of the Pride Lands, such an innocent place had so many dark corners and shadows to conceal the evil ones like him. His body was small but his body was wrapped in powerful, tight muscles from years of fighting, hunting, and just plain surviving. But no mistaking his height, his body was riddled with scars, each holding a memory and worn as a medal. His body may be small, but that is just so his strength was compressed and just waiting to be released entirely on a single individual, ready to kill. The adult's inky dark mane rolled down his head and shoulders, two long strands of bangs hung before him giving off teh scent of blood from the past hunts and kills. His mane was stained in the life-giving water and now became his affinity. His body moved slowly from shadow to shadow, his body low but still gave a strong warning message that sees him. He was Terror.
After meeting with Trig and the local named Wahabu, a seer, his mind has been.... clouded. The twisted place that his mind is was stuck on the idea that he was related to such a larger and much more powerful lion than himself. Power like that needed to be put down, he was a freak and that two-bit prophet was nothing but lies. Yet something still irked him, was related to that lion? He knew their mother's name, they shared the same mother..... no, that was coincidence, it was just another female with the same name, that was it. Yeah, logical explaination. Besides, how did he get dark fur and Trig get golden fur? Not to mention the size and the eye color. Surely they weren't related..... right? Kinari snarled and picked up the past.
"Where the hell are you, b*****d."
His voice was low but firm. Na-be must be sought out and killed, the commotion he had caused with that group back there would surely alert the pride too and then his mission would be blown. Regardless, he'd take the entire pride before he got his hands on Na-be's neck. A God wanting his own blood killed..... it was interesting, but it ensured a fight and blood. He could not pass the chance like that-no, he was eager to take it. Being used as a tool or not, he wanted to do this. The problem now was finding the damn lion....

Inari was still heading forward, but stopped and his eyes narrowed at a figure that seemed to slink through the lands. He hadn't seen them before, perhaps they were knew or even worse, perhaps they were an intruder. After everything that had happened in these lands, after everyone who had been lost to intruders, been lost because of the aftermath, Inari would not let this form get too far in before he found out there business.
So he began heading towards the figure, his eyes narrowed, his paws silent against the soil and stones beneath his larger paws. He flicked his tail as he drew closer, eyes not moving from the moving figure before him. Inari would have to cut him off, he didn't want to appear rude but, Inari wanted to protect those in the pride,
He was a hunter afterall, he would be a warrior, he would hunt intruders if he had too.
Heading acorss to get within the path of the figure, Inari puffed his chest slightly, to make himself look larger then he was. The blue feather that was behind his ear was pushed by teh air that batted at it with every stride he took.
Mrost's feather, yes, Mrost, he'd find him again. How nice would it be to tell Mrost that he fended off an intruder?
Maybe this would be alright afterall.
Inari stopped, he was right in the path of the other now. He stopped, refused to move, "Whats your business here?" he said firmly, this other Inari did not recognize.
Maybe their would be a reason for this type of intrusion, though Inari doubted it was a good reason.

Kinari felt another's presence from nearby, choosing to ignore it. No one mattered here, not that two-bit prophet, not that freak, nor this b*****d he was sent to hunt down. Who ever it was was gonna have to mess with a very strong disgruntled killer. His body still pressed on toward the boarder to start his search from scratch. There was no leads to this Na-be, nor if he was still alive but Mrost said he would be and War would not lie about that.... would he? Heh, he'll get a mindful later if these days spent in this displeasing lands was for naught. The presence of the other grew more and more as it felt like it was getting closer. Damn it, now it was just irritating to know that there was something in his way. He growled.
"Move it runt or I'll make you move. (Or not.)"
he threatened, looking at the body of what looked to be an adolescent male, strange markings but he was of the same height. Interesting... But what made the older male pick his head up was the color of the feather that stuck out behind his ear. Mrost..... was it his? Mrost had no feathers.... did he pluck the or lose them all in battle? Or was it that he had feathers but hid the away..... was he over analyzing this? It was just a feather, just an ordinary feather....
"I'm here to kill someone."
His voice was sarcastic but still it hinted of death and murder. His reply was so pain-stakingly blunt, but his tone was so sarcastic. He was being truthful but his voice made it sounds like a lie, a joke. It was up to this male to tell the difference.
Kinari kept on moving, not letting this one's actions hinder him in his mission.

Inari narrowed his eyes at this stranger. something wasn't right here. The look on the strang'ers face, how he walked, how his eyes looked dangerous. Inari surpressed a growl and the wish to lash out at this one, he seemed dangerous, and Inari did not want this stranger to get near his family, his freinds, or anyone for that matter.
"Make me move? You're the outsider here stranger, I won't move for you..." he said in a serious tone, flicking his tail, eyes set on this one. His pelt was darker, the black mane, seemed a bit tattered but still sleek, this stranger was older then Inari. But, they were at the same heaight, which was good.
Inari said nothing, almost gawked at this stranger. he was going to kill someone? Narrowed eyes set and stayed on him, Inari wouldn't let someone walk past him and kill someone, someone of HIS pride.
He watched as he walked past, tried to get away, but Inari closed the gap between them, stood in his way again. If he tried to move to the left or the right, Inari would do the same, cut him off. Just like the game he would play with his siblings, but this was no game, not to Inari.
"I won't let you in these lands any further if you wish to kill someone, leave now..." Inari said with a hint of a growl. He wasn't joking whether or not this stranger was. The feather was pushed again slightly by the breeze, Mrost's feather. Inari would not let someone get by him, no, then Mrost would perhaps look down upon him.

Kinar simply pressed on. He was not gonna let some weak male hinder him. His eyes glared at him as his paws took heavy steps one after the other. Move by move, step by step, he kept moving. This male seemed to have a death wish, standing in Kinari's way, Terror would strike his heart and that would be it, no more hinderances. A smirk. That sounds like an idea, and this commotion that he is causing will be ceased too. This was making things too easy.
"Stranger or not, I am a guest to these lands and guests are respected. Hasn't your mother ever taught you manners, runt?"
His voice still held that linger death-murder feel and yet still sarcastic. His body swayed slightly as he headed toward the shadows, having the darkness embrace him and allow him discreet travel. Under the shade of a small acacia grove, he moved alone in the darkness, his crimson blood-red eyes watching this male.
"Now, now, would someone with such boldness and bravery stand before a war veteran, warrior, and an envoy of a God?"
That last bit being an envoy was stretched from the truth but truth nevertheless and yet his sarcastic tone masked it. He was gonna play some games with this one, the thoughts of the events at Pride Rock was gone from his mind as it was set on a new target. His mission was to kill Na-be, the b*****d son of Mrost. Kinari was the mercenary free-lancer and his payment was Na-be's blood. That lion's fate was entirely up to Kinari now but to find him is another matter. This lion here seemed quite protective of the land not letting him get by like that. Perhaps a local? Yeah, that must be it. He must know where Na-be is.
A smirk and a grin.
"Hey, runt, do you know where I can find Na-be? If you tell me, I might not have to kill you."

Inari glared at Kinari, sighed and rolled his eyes as Kinari seemed to want to get away, though Inari was on his heels, Inari would follow after this stranger, made sure he would not do a thing. How weak wouold he seem as a warrior who let a potential threat get away? He huffed, followed this red eyed stranger, Inari would see to it that he would follow him, see what he was up to.
"Guest or not I do know who to watch and who to tell what is what. You're a stranger here, this is my home, I will not let you come into these lands and kill another," they had already had enough of that already. Inari wondered just who this stranger was, if he was the one that changed everything here.
A war veteran? Inari huffed and pushed it aside, "War veteran or not, a warrior or not. I will be a great warrior, and I can start by making you stay in your place. An envoy of a god you say? You seem like you are hte strongest thing on four legs, but the god I know, the god who'se feather adorns me is much stronger then you will ever be..."
Inari wondered what god this stranger knew.
Mrost would surely beat any god that spoke to this stranger.
"Na-be?" Inari watched him, smirked, "So you're after Na-be?" Inari would have to be wary, Inari was asked by Mrost to seek out Na-be, find his place of residents. If this stranger wanted somehting with Na-be, Inari would not show him the way. If Na-be had to be dealt with, Mrost had to know iof this stranger's presence.
"I am not a runt, and if I am, that makes you a runt too stranger," Inari gave him a look like 'I'd like to see you try' and stayed silent. What could this stranger say to him that would have him say where Na-be was?

Kinari's interest fell rapid when this one spoke, a clear sign was that one tip of his bang was in his maw, another would be that he turned away from the other one talking or the one he was paying attention too, lastly is that he would leave them and most likely not return for a very long time. So far, only his bang remained in his maw as his crimson eyes narrowed on this male. A resident, so he was a local and must have known something about this one. But what piqued his interest was that feather and how it belonged to a God. Kinari would only acknowledge only one god without having to confront him.....
"Mrost.... you do well to mind your place, young fighter, you have not obtained the title of a warrior let alone a great one. If I draw my conclusions right, you are one of those who War has spoke to and that feather, assuming it is his, means that he regards you rather closely. You must have done something for him to trust you, if that."
He scoffed a smirked by the idea that this one was another of Mrost's followsers. He didn't care if this male cared not for his titles or whatever, it was mostly to make him leave without little conflict. He did not need to cause a commotion that would alarm the pride. The pent of yearn for blood and the cries of terror was building. He needed to find Na'be.....
"What ties you to War, fighter? As for that runt comment, I am one but that only means that I am underestimated which leads my foes to a quick death. Never underestimate, don't test, be quick, be swift, and make kill your opponent, don't think. Tell me, what did you do to obtain one of War's.... items?"
Kinari's curiousity of how this male came close to War. He said that he did not give his trust so easily.....

Inari raised a brow at this stranger. He knew Mrost? Couldn't be, though, he knew his domain, his name. Perhaps there were stories of Mrost? Inari didn't doubt that possibility, though this stranger seemed to know him, which made him wonder if Mrost was close by, if this stranger was on a mission for Mrost.
A mission Inari would have liked perhaps...
Perhaps.
He flicked his tail, and huffed almost silently to himself, "I mind my place just fine, I know who I am, what I am, what I'll be..." he said seriously, in a tone that was not sarcasm, a joke, nothing of that sort, nothing at all.
"What ties me to him is none of your concern stranger, what I did to receive this," Inari said making a motion to the feather, "Is also none of your concern, I do not know who you are, I don't know if you speak the truth or not, thus, I will not trust you..."
That, and Inari wouldn't tell him how he got the feather either...or where Na-be was, unless Mrost himself told him to tell this stranger where he was.
Inari knew his place, and it was beside Mrost, not this stranger.

His eyes turned from him and looked out from the shadows of the acacia grove. He no longer wanted to look at this other male, his bang in his maw tasting of blood, his interest was slipping more and more. It would seem that this male knew to keep his secrets, that is good when being threatened for information. Very nice, useful skill too. He chuckled sheepishly.
"Trust, you are right to not trust me. Don't give your trust so easily or think you'd be trusted back. Something that is so hard to make, build, but so easily. At least you should know that much, right?"
Kinari smirked.
"However, I am not gonna let some Pride lander stop me from doing my mission. Either you tell me where Na-be is or you're gonna have to put up with me or tell War that you stopped me from doing his assignment. Now which of the three do you so which to do? The way I see it, you can do all of that, but the first one would be your best option."

Inari watched him, he didn't even know his name, which was alright, because this stranger didn't even know his own, which was good, quite good, Inari didn't need this one doing something stupid and going after anyone who he cared for just simply because he might know his name. "If you say its right to not trust you, then why should I give you information which you seek? You say War sent you on this assignment, but if he came to me, and requested I give you the exact location of Na-be, I would want to speak with him on the matter, rather then 'trust' you with information."
He didn't even know if he was still telling the truth, about this assignment, that it was one of Mrost's.
Inari would hope that if this ever did come up between him and Mrost again, that Mrost would be proud Inari did not just simply trust another with grave information, and that Inari had done the right thing. "Who are you to tell me what my best option is? Like I said, I don't trust you, or your judgement..." he flicked his tail in annoyance.
This wasn't getting anywhere.
Plus, Inari really didn't want to wander after this stranger all day and night.

Kinari shrugged.
"Trust me or not, I am gonna find him and he will die. If you don't believe what I say is true then go find War and talk to him yourself. I thought this method would just simply move this little assignment a little faster and just get me to him rather than wandering around aimlessly looking for him."
A smirk, turning his and smirking with crimson eyes. A dark sinister smirk and a blood-lust eyes.
"And you don't want someone like me wandering around such a peaceful place like this.... especially with your family, that weakened queen, and innocents living here. You could just save me and them the trouble and tell me where Na-be is and I will do my business and leave. I didn't even want to come here in the first place if it weren't for War's command. It's a simple task, tell me, I go kill him, and I leave. I won't come back, at least until War needs someone like me again."
Kinari rose to his feet and stalked boldly toward the other male. They may be the same height but that was little qualities they shared. Kinari was older, more time to learn and grow, possibly stronger and with his time with such a small form, he was agile and had a good handle on his bearings. He could take care of himself, has been for too long. His claws extended and retracted over and over, testing himself, holding himself from lunging at this other's throat. He was fighting strong urges, ones that has been plugged up inside of him since wanting to unleash it all on that Na-be. His patience and interest was leaving him and he was wanting to kill something, but this was War's follower which gave him slight immunity, that is if he doesn't push this one too far.
"So what do you say, follower of War?..... or would you rather give me your name?"

Inari was caught between morals, and what perhaps Mrost would like to have done. Though Inari still did not know if this stranger was telling the truth, the real truth, Inari did not want to upset Mrost, Inari wanted to be at Mrost's side, become a warrior or War, and make his family proud. And...to show someone, a certain someone, that he would become something great, then maybe she might look at him with different eyes.
That'd be nice...he'd have to go and look for her sometime soon to show how he had grown.
He flicked his tail, pawed at the soil, and watched with golden hues, what to do? All eyes were on him, his choice...let a rogue inside, kill a pride member? But...what would she think? Sarabi, the past queen, Inari went to her for help, he said he would be a great member of the pride, would she look down on him with anger and disgust if he let this stranger pass? Or would she understand his dilemma, understand that Na-be was actually an internal threat to the pride, with his crazed mind and antics.
How Na-be had a connection to war that could bring war to this pride.
Which could put everyone at risk.
But then again, Inari didn't want anyone to die, he wasn't at that stage of life where he completely understood death and why death was dealt onto others for strange reasons he did not understand. Inari wouldn't give this stranger his name though, no, and he wouldn't give the exact location of Na-be either.
He'd go against his conscious, this once, perhaps Mrost, perhaps everyone else would learn to understand his choice one day.
"My name you will not know, since I have not received yours, however, if you swear to me, swear on the name of war that you will not harm any other except Na-be...not me, anyone else, a cub, or my family...I will point you in the right direction...
do you agree?"

"Tcht..... You drive a deal with me? That is just calling for some good pain, however, I'll play along with this...."
Kinari smirked and released the bang from his maw, his interest was working up again. Now, swear to Mrost that he would not harm anyone but Na-be... that would be difficult if he can't kill to eat and live, but hey Inari would not know if he did kill someone, not like the idiot would follow him wherever he went and made sure that Na-be was the only one he killed. A loop-hole, if Kinari had agreed to his terms, he would leave him with the information and also he can't do jack squat to him because he can't possible follow him around the Pride Lands. This is a deal he could not pass up.
"Name's Terror, at least to you it will always be that. As for this deal of yours, fine, in War's name I won't harm any other of this pride other than that wretched Na-be. Tell me his location and I will be on my way, simply assassinate the guy and I will be off. I got other places to be now and just sitting here is killing time off of my other things. I gave my name and word, so what do you say, Pride Lander, tell me where Na-be is?"
What sort of great warrior was this? He wanted to defend his pride and family but yet he is fighting along the side of War? A false knight or is his morals something different. Heh, this was interesting.... what will War do if he saw that this male was more concerned about his family and pride than War himself? That would give him weakness in battle. If anyone figured out this male's weakness, it would be used against him. Oh well, that is War's problem.

Inari wasn't sure to believe this stranger, well, Terror or not, what else could he do really? More so, what couldn't he do? Decisions and choices, though if he went against his word now, it wouldn't be the best of ideas. Inari would just have to patrol this area, see where his family was, and make sure anyone who wandered this way might be somehow persuaded to turn cheek and go a different direction.
Yes, perhaps that was the best direction.
"That way..." he said pointing with white-toed paws, in the general direction of Na-be, "Go that way and look for the blue figure, if you don't see him, then just keep going until you find a rather large smooth stone thats on a rising of earth, from there, you should be able to find him if you don't spot him first..."
Inari wouldn't say which way Na-be's den was, he wasn't sure if anyone else occupied it along with Na-be at this time, he didn't want anyone to be in the way of this, 'Terror.'
"Just keep to your word...and I will stray others from that area..." least he could keep somewhat of a part in this after what had been said...what would be done. "If you see War again, tell him I'm looking for him, he'll know who I am, and oh, if you want one of these," Inari said pointing to his feather, "A necklace is around Na-be's neck, with a few of these upon it..."
With a flick of his tail Inari started heading in a paralell path from which Terror would tred on, to make sure no one would get to close, and to make sure Terror would stay away from his family.
After all of this...Inari wanted to seek Mrost out, rather badly.
Who knew, maybe he and Terror would work beside each other with Mrost one day.
