Usu's attention has been weakening as of late. There has something been going on with the maned wolves around here. Well, those that seemed to be attached, or connected would be a more appropriate word, to him. Dumu had been told of his abilities as a seer and he knew of his. Usu's powers were when he focused hard enough, he could locate another wolf. Sometimes if it was strong enough, he could keep it and do as his wish, but that makes him weaker. He also touched on a subject about "bottled secrets". Dumu's however, were still developing. Unlike Usu, he was the son of a diety, the ability was in his blood...and his brothers.
Dumu sat under a tree, just beside a water hole, his escape from his "teacher's" den. TO tell truth, the wolf barely done anything but watch him. He knew the location of every member of his mind. He just kept a close eye on the lion. When Aki had came to the family, their parents decided to seperate them into the care of two maned wolves, Usufii'moyo and Akamichi. Usu was to teach Dumu to learn his powers....and Aki was to learn to become nice again. Either way, Dumu missed his brother. He desperately wanted Usu's abilities to locate the sibling and seek him out. So far...his own abilities were giving him problems.
The night was still young, the stars out in the sky, sparking and shining. The water reflected the moon clearly and it reflected everything...even him. Staring down, Yadumugandama could his own reflection and that eye on his forhead. He had always wondered whati it was, Athrun had it on his headband and now he has it on his forehead. What was it? Another thing that confused him was why he had a partial mane while Umo, an adult, had a full-mane. Maybe it was because he was a god? He just hoped it was not genetic or something.
With a sigh, he splashed at the water, causing ripples to flow to the center and dissipate.

The area smelt of wild dog, but Ewansiha no longer minded so much. When he was younger and therefore smaller, the pale lion would have worried. Not so long ago however he'd realised he'd grown up at some point during his journey - the scarlet mane and the height were a dead giveaway. Ewan figured that now, he could afford to keep moving even though he could tell there were dogs about...not get cocky, just not hide away or find a way to by pass their lands like he'd done as a cub.
In fact, he felt confident enough to follow his nose and the lay of the land to the waterhold. Something he didn't recognise anymore was the signs of other lions. After being seperated from any kind of contact with any member of his kind for so long, it'd left him, that knowledge.
He headed towards the water, white fur blatent in the moonlight, completely unaware that Dumu was anything more than just another shadow.

The water glowed a wonderous blue color, reflecting his image back up at him. It seemed like it was looking face to face with his brother. But it wasn't. He wished it was however, he wished it was the body that he would lean against and listen to his brother's songs as he hummed along. Maybe he was just missing a something to lean against. But that would never happen, his brother and his family were the only ones he would dare touch. Curse him and his powers....it was a hindrance. Looking down at his paw again he remembered the troubled it had caused. The touch of Belial gave him the thoughts of some strange monster, blue and red....The touch of Zoo, a little female gave him visions of her death... THen there was Rage, the Goddess of Rage, she was the worst. The scar on his shoulder proved it. His touch was a dangerous tool of invasion, it was clear as day to him but unknown to everyone else. He could dive into their most secret memories, thoughts, and dreams...he could know their name before even be told of it. His powers plagued his sleep of hurtful nitemares and thoughts of those near him. He wished....there was someone who could help him, calm him, put his mind at ease.
THe involutions of his mind were like that of the jungle and its vines. Looking at the paw again he placed it back into the water. Looking into the water, Dumu's reflection shifted to a white blur and back to his form. Was that Aki? maybe it was Athrun! It was his eyes that played that trick. He let out a heavy breath and sighed. It was justa trick of the moonlight.

Tricks of the moonlight rarely cause ripples and small splashes, from walking until ankle deep in the cold water. His head dipped to drink, eyes closed, the rogue lap up his fill daintily but swiftly. The enjoyment was clear. His whole day had been spent covering ground and so far, this had been his only stop.
Ewan opened his eyes, taking all the reflections of red to come from his own mane, watching as he drank the shape of the tree on the ripples...the way the moonlight silvered the water....the glow.
It was only when he looked up, chin dripping, did he spot Dumu. He almost said 'Nogea?', but no. There was no black, there was white, no pink. And a third eye.

Dumu's paw just stopped it's circular motion. Something hit him again, now it was just a secondary reaction. This feeling, like a ping of pain but it caused no harm at all, was always a signal of his, now he calls SSVs (Split Second Vision). They were just quick thoughts, images, or words that just come to him that last as long as it came. A name, a place, a word, a thought, that was all they were, they were quite uncontrollable during his earlier months. This time he saw something white again, now he knew it wasn't a moonlight trick, this time it was an image of another. White, red, black, and then gone. It was gone as quickly as it came. Dumu looked down to his paw still in the water, ripples moving out in a cicular motion. ...Those never happen unless that one is here... Picking his head up he looked around him and directly across from the water hole just on the other side was another lion, white, red, and black.
The dark red male got to his feet and cleared his throat, lately, he had been quite uncomfortable around anyone and well....it just didn't work well with him. Was he becoming anti-social? At least his father had raised him up with manners.
"Hello? Could I ask for your name?" He called out, standing his ground. He was safe from that lion as long as he stood across from him. "Min's Yadumugandama....or Dumu to save you the hassle."
A conversation....maybe he wasn't so anti-social. Ever since that day with Ryu'Rage...since his scar, he couldn't bear to be near anyone frightened that the same result will happen again if he so much as got near them. He didn't know that a single thought could set of anyone like he did to Rage. His visions were not dangerous for anyone else but himself. He would be the one who knew their secrets, he knew their past, he knew their dreams, their privacy was opened to him and ....he could not bear to know them. They were not his to know and this power...it just forces them into his mind. The demi-god had to make sure that this male stays over there and away from him.
The male could not see it but, Dumu was shaking.

"Hello...Yadumugandama. Dumu" He paused, trying to check he had mimicked that correctly, thinking he may have drawn out the last a too long...or too short? Close enough however, Ewan thought. He smiled, adding his shorter name as an afterthought.
It had been months since he'd met anyone. Not talked, not seen, not smelled nor heard anything of lions. Even the pawprints he'd found proved to be his own - the day he realised he was going in circles, forcing him to admit he was lost. He must have been this strangers age when he last saw another of his kind. How did one act?
"My name is Ewansiha...or Ewan or Siha for short." He copied the introduction, roughly, Dumu had given. Ewan tried to recall earlier meetings. Head-bows seemed to formal. Rubbing cheeks was too personal. Maybe just the smile and the name would suffice.

"Ewan...it's a nice name you got there." he replied with a smile. He looked back at his paw and took it out of the water. He was drinking it, it just seemed impolite if his dirty little paw was in waters that another was taking in. Then his head hurt again.
Haven't seen lions in a while
"Ewan....when was the last time you saw a lion? What are you doing out here anyways? Are you a rogue?"
Dumu asked. His body could not help but shiver nerviously. He was just glad that the other male was on the other side of the water hole. His white fur reminded him of Aki...but he knew it wasn't him, but that fur....
"Forgive me for the questions, sir..."

"Oh, no need to call me sir. And yes, I suppose I am a rogue." When was...? How could Dumu know he hadn't seen any other lions in a while - was it written on him somehow - a lack of scent that wasn't his or something? Ewan frowned softly, puzzled.
By Athrun! Was his lonliness that obvious?
"I haven't see another lion since I was around your size, a bit smaller perhaps. I got seperated from my family and have wandered ever since." An honest answer, perhaps too honest but what did he have to hide? It was other people's secrets he always kept safe. He was always free with his own. Besides, Dumu looked like he could be another of Rahima's children...he wasn't, Ewan would know...but his looks helped Ewan relax a little.
"If I may...do you live here, Dumu? I hope I haven't caused offence, coming to drink here."

Dumu's eye twitched, however, Ewan could not possible see it from their distance apart...right? -since I was around your size- What was that suppose to mean? The dark red male had a thing about anyone implying or even murmuring the words along with him be short. Usually he'd just snap and throw a rather childish tantrum but here he was gonna let it pass.....for now. Yadumu got to his feet and moved around slowly, not just half-way to the other lion. He wanted to get a closer look at him. With a smile, he was surely not like Aki....but at least he was an adult and well....distinguished. Shaking his head.
"No, I don't live anywhere near here. I am under the care of a maned wolf right now doing some...." he cut off trying to think of something else. Does this male need to know about his abilities? He had been honest with him about the things he had said so far, so should he not deserve the same in return? "Ewan....do you have anything that you would want to hide from me?" he takes a step. "Secrets?" another. "Thoughts?" another. "Dreams?" another until he not further than a foot away from the other lion.
It was a routine he had always followed when it came to strangers, he would stay away a very good distance from. Then he would ask them if they had anything to hide before approaching. His abilities were triggered by touch so he would never stay too close unless he was welcomed.

The maned head turned to track the movements of the red lion. He'd become a looker when he reached adulthood, Dumu. But he did seem to be wound a little tight. Such odd questions. Had Ewan offended him somehow? He hoped not.
"I have nothing to hide. Though, no secrets of mine or those entrusted to me to keep can be taken if I so choose. It's the only thing I have from my father...he was a special sort of lion."
Ewan had never decided if it was true that his father had been a god. He hadn't got the sight. Maybe his mother had just been so lovestruck and dreamy that she had....been mistaken. But it was true about the secrets. Not even the hyena who'd almost torn off his forepaw had got anything out of him.
"Why do you ask, Dumu?"

"Ewan, if I were to touch you...your mind would be opened to me for a brief moment and I would....know things about you that you might not even know or want to know. I'd rather make a friend than an enemy."
He spoke softly, looking back up at the other male. It was strange seeing a male with a full mane. Athrun did not have one and he was a God, a rather and he had a such a body of an adult but his mane was not full grown....was he still young? No, he had been living for what seemed like forever. Maybe he was stuck like that by some sort of disease or something. Was it genetic? Did he have it? DId Aki have it? Dumu looked back at the other male's mane. He sort of wanted to have one too....but only time will tell if he'll grow one.
"If you allow me this, Ewan, I will tell you anything you want about me as an exchange of trust or sorts?"
The juvenile's body shivered again this time the male could see it now that the distance between them was closed now. He was closer to him and any action he did would be seen. This male seemed nice and sweet, honest too. Strange he had no mate or some other companion.

"Depending on what you see, you may not want me for a friend."
His relationship, by blood only since he'd never met and never had wanted to meet, with Nyekundu. The fact he had no father, just the idea of a god who romanced his mother. His bisexuality. His wishes to find someone - or rather someones. The pathetic fact he'd been /lost/ since early adolescence....all good reasons, in Ewans mind, to shun him.
He offered out a paw, the black pads spread and carefully velveted - claws kept in - despite being nervous.
"Here, Dumu. I'll ask nothing in return if you want to know me better in your own fashion." Ewan tried to look at that third eye of his, through what he presumed was the start of a mane. Demi-god? Seer? How old was he...he seemed older than he looked. Dumu was interesting to say the very least.

Dumu reached out and hesitated before touching his paw. Am I really going to do this...? He kicked himself forward and touched paws.
His mind whirled into the darkness again. Always happens during the first encounter of another's mind. The images of females stirred something in him. The images of males stirred the same feelings. An evil laughter by the symbol of three angled markings. And a feeling of loneliness and lost. Quickly he pulled his paw away from Ewan and placed it on his forhead.
"You....you're different than any other males I've met before. You are similar to my brother in some ways and yet so much different," he looked up to the male and gave the best smile he could. "If I am correct, you like both males and females and you've been alone for quite some time, am I correct?"
Dumu could feel his legs shake under him. The first ones were always the strongest as it always gave the most information about the other being. Before long he fell onto his belly, wincing a bit. He had grown used to it. Looking back up, it seemed it was his turn. Though Ewan had asked nothing in return, he deserved something nevertheless. His mother's teachings of equal exchange had grown into his own morals.
"Well, now I guess you could know some more about me. As you probably know by now, I am seer born and raised along side my brother. My abilities were inherited by my father, a God. The God of Loneliness," he chuckled and looked down at his paws, not entirely beliving what he was going to say. "I too prefer both genders."

Ewan wasn't sure what to say first. He could sense somehow that the area in his mind he kept walled off hadn't been breached. The rest though, that he didnt bother to keep guarded...well, it seemed Dumu knew his well enough now. Saved a lot of small talk.
"You're correct, son of Athrun. Oh...I prayed for him and I run into you...now that has to be fate." The white lion laid himself down too, babbling. He studied Dumu with wide blue eyes. Surprised. But happy to have met him, even if his mind felt a little weird after such an introduction.
"I've never met anyone like you. You look a little like my brother Nogea, but...no. You're you." Babble babble.

He chuckled.
"And you look like my brother Akiiki, but like me, you are not. You are Ewan, the nice, gentle male you are."
This was becoming quite the encounter. He who has prayed, calling for Athrun and in his stead was his first-born (of his recent litter) appeared before him. Maybe Dumu had some sort of gift. No, it was coincidental of course. Dumu smiled and remained on his belly. He was too tired to raise and frankly, he'd rather not return to Usufii. Not yet.
"It may be fate that brought us together. But I guess it is our decisions on what to do next." he looked up at him, his "mane" covering one side of his face and half his mark, the mark that he had inherited from his father. Maybe he could let that comment about his size slip and his staring at his mark. To be honest, he could not see himself angry with such a nice male. A gentleman.
