Swampieestar Chopi stretched as her nap came to an end. The cheetah shook out her slight mane. It was hot today and her golden fur was searing. She panted in the high sun and wondered why she spent he days in the sun. Chopi always thought that her pelt was much more glorious in the sun and she prided herself on it. The femme began slowly cleaning her paws after she hid under quite a large rock. She could have sworn that there was steam rising from her fur from under that rock. Chopi mewed lightly in bordeom and wondered if anyone else was there.

Usu has traveled around a bit from the ol' Acicia tree. Lately, alot his been on his mind. Mostly Tajwar and Sesere and possibly himself thrown in. Usu's been taking walks to keep it free and somehow it eventually comes back. Frustrated, the maned wolf laid himself down on a cool rock to rest in the shade, escaping the scorching heat of the African savannah.
"...This....stinks...."

Swampieestar Chopi mewed lightly in the heat. She cursed the sun for burning so bright and the gods for giving her such a brilliant coat. The cheetah still panted when she heard something over head. It was a new smell that she hadn't smelled before but it didn't seem threatening. It seemed hot like her.
"...This...stinks..."
Chopi raised herself slowly and slunk from underneath the rock to see a large wolf. She would have run if the sun wasn't beating down on her. "Who are you?"

The grey wolf flinched from the cheetah's sudden appearance.
"Woah!" he cried stumbling back. Looking over the rock,"who are you, may I ask?" sitting upright, paws on the rock. "On that note, name's Usu...Usufii'moyo."

Swampieestar Chopi starred up at the wolf. She wasn't up for this but she decided to be cordigial. "I'm Chopi'njiapanda...please call me Chopi." The striped end of her tail twitched as she spkoe. "Hello Usu...if I may call you that." She blinked in the hot sun. "I'm not in the mood for this." The cheetah lay back into the shade and continued panting.

Cocking a brow, "Why not? It's not that hot out here." he smiled. First time he actually seen a lone cheetah. "You're a cheetah, you should be able to get to the watering hole should be easy for you and cool faster too."
Poking his head over the rock. "So why are you alone anyways, Chopi?"

Swampieestar Chopi looked up at the intrusive wolf. "It's just too hot to do much of anything. The watering hole is too far for me to run without collapsing. Besides' it's much cooler in the shade." Her annoyance was lost in the sun. "I'm normally alone. I don't have anyone to be around." She yawned softly and licked her paws. "What are you doing out here?"

"Just....walking." he replied in a despressed, almost a whisper, tone. "To gather my thoughts." he then reliezed what he was saying. "I digress." he simply gave a feeble smile.
"Do you want someone to be with?"

Swampieestar Chopi smiled weakly as the shade began to cool her. "Well...walking is good." She placed her hhead slowly upon her paws. "That's quite a good way to gather your thoughts." She still wasn't up to this but now that she was talking it felt better. "I'm nott sure. i like being alone but having company is nice sometimes too."

Usufii smiled widely. "Well, I know a great place. It has lots of shade too." he was happy now. "It's not far from here either."
"It's a large Acicia tree. Long branches with many leaves to provide great shade. There are some big rocks around too. If ya want, I can take you there." he smiled.

Chopi stood slowly and turned to the wolf. "Shade huh. That's rare this time of year." She shook her golden coat and placed her paws on the rock. "I wouldn't mind knowing where it is if you'd take me. I would love some actual shade." Her tail swished in happiness. Actual shade was hard to find and wwith her coat she needed it.

Usu knew he would say yes, it was kind of unavoidable. "Alright then, try to keep up, 'kay?" Heck, he should be able to. Usu dug in his hind paws and pushed forward for a quick boost as he ran off.

"Well then lead the way." Chopi smiled when the wolf took off. She knew that she couldn't go far at a dead sprint so she trotted quickly behind him until that grew boring. Soon her muscles tensed as she ran hard behind him until she gained on the wolf. "So. Where is this place?"

THe grey wolf's tongue lolled out as he ran with the young cheetah. "Just over the hill, you can see the top there." he pointed towards a small glimmer of lush green leaves on the top of the hill. Even the shade of the tree came over the hill that overlooked it.
"You can get there faster!''

Chopi knew she couldn't keep the pace up for long but kept going as not to slow down the wolf. "Wow. Acutual green leaves...I haven't seen those in awhile. She easily passed the wolf and gunned until she reached the top of the hill. The view was beautiful and the shade was even better. Her tired body fell to it's haunches and starred out over the lush green.
"You were right. It's so nice here."
