Jamaa was slightly happier than usual today. He was glad his son was doing well with his hyena pack. Yuka has found herself a great mate. Though, Imal was sort of an issue when the wild dog wanted to take to Yuka's mate, Kiji.
Jamaa walked along the path to Pride Rock. He wanted to see if Ger was able to come out today and perhaps talk with him. If the copper brown dog was lucky he might run into his little ratel friend, Topas. Jamaa knew so many others, and most of them were just like family to him. It was just amazing how many he knew. A hyena, a ratel, a jackal, maned wolves, lions, and other wild dogs. Jamaa was just that way with others.
As the tall canine traversed the Pride Lands, a grin masked his face.

Chiboa paused and lifted his maw to the sky. The wind slipped through his fur and filled his senses, alerting the young rogue that he was not alone. The grey male shifted his weight from side to side and kneaded his claws vigerously into the earth.
With a new stranger, he considered, could be danger. Or a bounty readied for me steal, he thought as a grin swept over his maw, and his icy eyes landed on the wild dog in the distance.

Jamaa's paw stopped in mid-step and a frown overtook the grin. He had a visitor. The scent hit Jamaa like a ton of bricks, how could he not have noticed it sooner?
Jamaa's eyes opened up, his nose lifted into the air, sniffing. Who was it?
"Come on out, I know you're there." the scent was quite far actually, but he knew the scent's owner was nearby. "Come on out!" he called, hoping the presence could hear him. "I won't bite!" he added...
"...much."

"As do I", Chiboa said with a toothy grin as he stepped out of the savannah grasses.
"Won't bite, eh?", he said with a small chuckle. "I'm not scared of you, pup", Chiboa said, as he assertively lifted his chin and flicked his bushy tail. He shook slightly and sent a paw over his ear, scratching a nest of fleas before turning his gaze back on Jamaa.
"What's 'yer dubbing?"

"Dubbing?" he asked, "Name's Jamaa of the Mpinzani pack. And you?" this dog looked...different. His fur looked dirty and well...wasn't taken care of properly.
"So where are you from?" he asked, the dog may be an intresting meet.

Chiboa inspected his paws, then locked eyes with this 'Jamaa' as he spoke.
"Of the Mpinzani pack?", he repeated, tilting his head slightly. "Why? We are called 'wild' dogs, aren't we?", he said with a chuckle.
The rogue leaned back and licked his chops. "Nah, I'm from no where but the earth", he said with a small, sure nod.

"Yeah, my fmaily." Jamaa tilted his head. This dog was defiantly strange. He took his species name seriously. "We are wild dogs, but it doesn't mean we have to live too wild." he said, sort of confusing.
"Why not join a pack, ...er....what was your name?" he asked. Could not really conversed well with someone when the a person doesn't know the other's name, right?

"Name's Chiboa", he said, tilting his head closer and eyeing Jamaa with interest. He certianly had installed the right idea into this stranger's eyes.
"Yes, I suppose", Chiboa said, narrowing his eyes. He tossed his head slighly, with a weak grin across his maw. "But we were not born to boundaries. We were born to explore and live, and to be wild. Silly pack lines mean nothing to a rogue", he said sharply, sending a lick over a wounded paw.

He looked procuriosuly down at the other canine's paws. "What happened to your paw?" he asked. "There something wrong with it? May I take a look?" perhaps his methods could help this guy out.
"Well, what about a mate?" he asked, not looking up to the canine, but sort of just a thought....a very loud one.

"Some lioness attacked me", Chiboa growled. The paw throbbed, although he didn't want to give away the pain. He strained his face emotionless, so as not to. "Whatever", he shrugged, thrusting the flea-bitten paw over towards Jamaa.
"A mate?", he repeated, his ears twitching as a grin crept across his expression. "Yes", he said dryly, but a prickle of delight washed over his face. "Imal"

He looked down at the paw with observing eyes, "It looks fine, it won't be infected that is for sure." he said, "But perhaps you should take better care of your fur, Chiboa. These fleas can carry diseases."
His heart and body stopped....Imal? This was Imal's mate? "Imal...?" he asked.

Chiboa growled and pulled his paw back. "I'll do as I like with my own fur", he said coldly.
His ears perked in interest when Jamaa expressed recognition toward the name 'Imal'. "You ..", he paused, ".. know her?", he said, his body and expression steadying. He wasn't quite sure how to handle this. Any male who had been near Imal threatened him. She had left the side of another for him, and he would not allow the same to happen again.
"How do you know her?", he growled under his breath.

"Hold on there, Chib. I have my own mate, if that is what you are thinking." he said, trying to assure the other canine. "I would not dare betray our love." a word that he usually never used around Temari, but more around others when talking about the golden goddess of a wild dog.
"I met her a few days ago when I was speaking with my sisters mate." he paused, "The three of them seem to have something on one another." Jamaa looked over to the strangely colored animal, "Do you know anything about it?"

Chiboa listened intently, letting the fur on back lay flat.
"Fine then", he said, casting a weary look around. Love.. his lass. His gal. He could understand Jamaa's words, all too well.
"No", he said hesitantly, "I've never heard of this."

Jamaa nodded, "Temari is the only one for me. She's been with me for a long time, and through my toughest. I could not bring myself to betray her, no. I love her too much to hurt more than I have already...." the memory of that night he lost control still plagued his mind. The memory of not being able to save his daughter plagued his hurt. And Temari's love scarred his muzzle. He could not forget any of it.
"Well, that's too bad. I was hoping you'd know a thing or two." he sighed, "I guess I'll have to leave Kiji and Yuka to deal with Imal."
