The juvenile hyena made his way through the tunnel made by Topas and Goma, but mostly Topas. It was dark. It was creepy. It was not his favorite place in the world, but whenever he felt like going back, he forced himself to remember that it was safer this way, no matter how much he bumped into the walls.
Finally, after a long, dark walk, he found his way to the other end. The light nearly blinded the blue hyena as he poked his head out and saw that he was near Jamaa's den. Technically, it was also still his den... Yakuti shook the dirt from his blue pelt and padded over to it, poking his head inside. "Hello?" He called, "Anyone in here? Jamaa?" He called, cautiously stepping inside.

In the corner was a red ball of fur, small and dark. Ever other moment or so, it would shake and shiver violently. Oddly, it was the only thing that stood out here in the family den. The main portion of the den was still as large as ever, high ceiling, wide room, and still untouched since Kiangazi inhabited it when Jamaa took him home, adopted him. The owner's chamber was the same as well, the shallow in the ground was still there where he and Yakuti cleaned themself that night so long ago.
This was the family den, Jamaa's den, Yakuti's den.
Ryega shivered more and more with each passing second. Suddenly a voice called out, evidently, there was someone here. Him. The red pup raised his up, managing to make himself sit up, shaking a bit.
"H-hello? W-who's there, I am n-not afraid of you."
He replied, trying to sound as bold as he could through his shaky, whispering voice. Who was there?

Yakuti whipped around, perhaps it was Jamaa? No, it wasn't, but it sure was a wild dog. "Hey there!" He said plesantly, padding over to the young pup. "I'm Yakuti, do you know Jamaa? I'm looking for him..." He said, hoping against hope that this pup might be one of Jamaa's.
"You see, there was this HUGE missunderstanding and I really need to talk to him as soon as I can." He said with a nod, looking around the den. He really did hope that this pup belonged to Jamaa, but he didn't se how he could, neither Jamaa nor Temari was red...

Ryega shivered violent the closer the pup got to him. He disliked the idea of a stranger near him, he didn't know them, he can't see them, and how could he be able to defend himself? Where did the copper brown dog go? He was there when he was sleeping, but where was he now? How could the father leave his son alone, alone in a place he doesn't know and opened for all to enter? Was Jamaa the irresponsible?
"I-I...." he cut off, his voice still shaky and in a low whisper. "I-I am...f-father must've l-left." he spoke, shivering still.
Ryega yipped loudly and quickly curled up just like a hermit crab into it's shell. Curling up tight, his red furred body shivered.
"Father..."

Yakuti looked at the little pup, "Its okay, I'm not going to hurt you, is Jamaa your father?" He asked to clarify. Poor pup, he didn't seem to know that he wouldn't hurt him, and he didn't seem able to see either, as he kept on NOT looking at Yakuti, which he found very strange. Eithe that or he just didn't want to look at him.
Yakuti sat down, looking around at the walls and finding the one with all the pawprints on it, his was on there too, somewhere.

Ryega nodded softly, "Jamaa is..." he replied softly, pulling his head closer to the hyena a little. Alright, this was a chance he had, and he may get killed, hurt, or something else. Brilliant time to become strong.
Carefully, Ryega sniffed the ground, following the scent as it grew stronger and stronger until his nose bumped up against his chest. Carefully, he sat down, moving his nose around the hyena's body, moving upward to his head. Carefully around his neck and to his chin. The scent was like no other he had ever smelt. It reeked of death and blood, yet still lingered the earthy scent he knew as a wild dog's. It was faint but there.

Yakuti stood very still as the pup sniffed at him, it was now officially obvious that he couldn't see, but no matter, his senses would sharpen and he wouldn't need his sight in time. "Thats good, I'm sure Jamaa is a great father." He said from experience, "Now tell me little one, what is your name?" He asked, cocking his head at the pup as the sniffing stopped.
"I am Yakuti, I'm... Good friends with Jamaa." He said, not wanting to explain to the pup that he considered Jamaa his father.

Ryega sat down before him again, his head near his chest, "My name...?" he asked, was it safe to give it to him? Could he really take what he said as the truth? Did Yakuti know his father? Or was it a lie? What if this male was here to take him, or kill him? Until he was sure...." My name is Bahka'Ne." a name he just blurted out, not sure if it was even a real one.
"Yaku...how do you know my father? Y-you are friends?" he asked softly, wiggling his nose now and again. Yakuti was growing some, that was sure. His scent was that of a strong male, just like Demani, Tahu, and Jamaa. Judging by it, he is near his adolescent stage of life. So...he was sort of young but not old yet. Ryega smiled softly. Someday, he will be just like that.

"Nice to meet you Bahka'Ne," He said with a smile, "What does it mean?" He asked honestly, he did in fact beleive that was his name, but he had never heard one quite like it before. Though he had never seen a wild dog like him either.
"I know Jamaa because he used to take care of me." He said, "He helped me when I was hurt, he was always nice to me." He said with a smile, disregarding the time Jamaa had gone rather insane. It wasn't his fault really. "We are very good friends, but there are some who don't think we should be friends, and they tried to sepparate us, its very important for me to talk to him."

"Well, that was pretty amazing. Hey Ryega guess what? Topas had his...." Jamaa spoke, as he entered the den where he left his son for a bit to visit his old ratel friend, Topas, and his family with Jini'ka. His statement was cut short when his eyes fell to a blue canine. His heart ached in excitement.
"YAKUTI!" he shouted out as he rushed to his 'son's' side, hugging him from behind, "God, I missed you!" he murrsed, nuzzling into his white and blue fur. Ever since Goma and Topas lied to him, then Topas telling him of the lie, Jamaa wanted to see the hyena more and more. He just could not believe he was here at the moment he was gonna visit relatives! Wow, it was wonderful. Yaku had grown some, Jamaa was still taller, then again he was pretty tall for an average wild dog, but Yakuti was getting bigger and with some help, filling out.
His golden eyes fell down to the red furball under the two of them, "And I see you already met Ryega." Jamaa smirked, "He's my oldest son, my blood son." he said, nuzzling into the juvenile more. He saw no difference between blood or heart relatives, they all meant the same to him. He could not live without them. Yakuti, Kiji, Yuka, Temari, Demani, Tahu, Gizo, Kianjahe, Kiangazi, even Kizaki.
"Ryega, say hi to your step-brother."
Ryega looked up, lifting his nose up along his father's strong earthy scent. His brows furrowed.
"Thanks for leaving me, Dad. And I already said hi..." Ryega was a bit moody with Jamaa. There was a reason, but the two ignored the subject whenever it arosed. "Yakuti says you two know each other, but a father-son relationship? How many step-brothers do I have?"

"Jamaa!" Yakuti chimed, turning around quickly and looking at his father figure. He seemed smaller than he remembered, but he knew it was just because he had grown, "Its great to see you." He said, nuzzling him happily.
"Ryega?" He asked, quirking his head at them both, "This little guy? He claims that his name is Bahka'Ne, but it looks like thats not the case." He said, not angry, just a bit confused. His confusion only got stronger as the semi-happy pup seemed to go sour as his father entered.
"Jamaa, did Topas tell you what happened?" He asked, wanting to make sure he was told the whole truth, "Apparently he was threatened by Goma and that the little jackal was trying to sepparate us." He huffed, thinking of how great it would be to rip the evil annoyance to shreads.

Jamaa smiled and nuzzled him back. He was glad taht Wild Dogs were taller than Yakuti, he wouldn't know what to do if he was taller than him. The copper-brown dog licked his head softly, grooming him. How and again he got the wiff of female scents, he knew of Mafa, but who was this other? Heh, he given "The Talk" to Demani and Tahu, so why not him?
"Yaku, have you been seeing anyone?"
Jamaa smiled and petted his son's head, "Well, his name's Ryega, Bahka'Ne is a name he uses to tell others if he doesn't trust them. But I guess you can call him Ryega now." Jamaa murred, letting go of Yaku and laying beside the red pup. Now he has two sons with him. It was great.
"Well, I just spoke with him. Unfortunately, I know of it. Goma was planning something on you. Something I do not wish to say, and got Topas involved. However, I will take care of Goma, don't you worry." Jamaa said, knowing full well that Yaku was gonna do something with or without Jamaa's permission. He was a grown hyena, so he has no say in what he does.
"By the way, Topas had his pups. Three of them, two boys and a girl."
Ryega huffed and curled up against his father.
"Since when did you decide who can and cannot call my by my name, Dad?" he said, pestered by how his father always kept spoiling him and talking for him. Ryega was blind, not useless. He knew his father was big and strong, someday Ryega would be just like him but better, bigger and stronger. Just wait and see, even if he can't see, he will become better than his father and everyone else. He will be the best!

"Seeing anyone? Like how?" He asked, not knowing what he was talking about, "I see lots of hyenas, there's Mafa, Tibuka, Rasuli, Mabozi, Schatz, Fritt, there are lots of hyenas in the pack." he said, listing all the pack members he could remember.
"Planning something? What was it?" He asked, if something involved him, hi figured he had the right to know. "Knowing Goma its probably something nasty." He scowled.
"Yeah, Topas told me Jini was having pups, I'm happy for him." He said with a smile, honestly having no idea what was involved in the whole process. Yakuti glanced at Ryega, he didn't know why he seemed to not want his father around, but he found it rather disturbing. If he had known his parents he would probably want them around. At least thats what he thought...

"I mean, have you been seeing any females? Like liking their company or maybe getting a wierd feeling when you are around them?"
He asked, staring up at his son with golden eyes. Strange, this came more naturally to Demani and Tahu, then again, they were of age, Yakuti was almost there. Strange how this worked. Oh well, he was just happy that he was gonna be the one to tell him about his life and it's challenges and what nots. Yaku has grown, someday, Jamaa hoped to see him when was full-grown and have a family of his own. Then Jamaa can finally feel at ease if he ever forgot him. What would Yaku do if Jamaa ever came and his mate was there? That would jeopardize the juvenile's life, so Jamaa knew he had to decrease his visits to him. He ignored the blue canine's last question.
Ryega growled slightly and rested his head on his paws, his eyes shutting slightly over his glazed green eyes. He was gonna have to learn to stay awake....He yawned a little and flicked his tail.
They can talk, they don't need me.... he thought and he shift his head a bit and closed his eyes completely.

"Females? Yeah, that would be Mafa, Schatz, and Fritt." He said with a nod, "But no wierd feelings, nope." He said shaking his head, he had no idea where this was going, and he wasn't sure if he liked it, wierd feelings didn't sound too pleasant.
"Wait..." He said as something clicked, "You mean like, you and Temari?" He asked, making a strange face, "Like, how you two ended up with pups?" He asked, now slightly curious as to how the whole thing worked.
He noticed that Jamaa hadn't answered the other question, but he ignored that fact for now, he was far to interested in what they were talking about now...
