Jamaa looked down into Yakuti's and his den, looking at the spot where he and him slept together when he was injured. It felt strange that he was gone from the Pride Lands. It was for the best, Jamaa couldn't raise hyena to its natural potiental. Besides, now he got Temari and the pack to focus on....and Goma and Topas running around.
Jamaa sat inside the cool, damp den, staring at the wall he showed Yakuti many days ago. The hyena's footprint was still imprinted into the wall. THe copper brown dog placed his paw in the slightly bigger print.
"Yaku..." Jamaa sighed.

Ger continued to wander the Pride Lands. It's only been 2 days since he started this little detachment from Pride Rock. It was great, no one around to tell him to do, and he can finally explore that graveyard.
However, as of late, he got cold feet of setting foot there. Recently thoughts of doubt started to come to mind. What if the natives there don't like him or his species? What if he gets lost and don't find any way out of it? He needed to know more about it before attempting to explore it.
He continued to walk, thinking of what to do when his foot got caught in the ground. Looking down, Ger noticed that his foot was in a hole. He wiggled his paw and the hole got larger pulling him inside.
"Woah!"

Jamaa felt some dirt fall onto his head and looked up. A small golden furred paw was dangling from the hole that he created when he was younger. The Wild dog instinctively took a step back as the ground gave way sending the paw-owner down to him.
"Umph" it said.
Jamaa's golden eyes stared down at it. It was a lion cub. Judging by the coloring of it, must've been one from Pride Rock. It was still young, maybe too young to be wandering.
"Um...hey there." he said. "What brings you to Jamaa's den?"

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow..." he mumbled as the little lion cub picked himself up. He looked around the chamber he fell into and spotted the tall animal. His large copper brown body towered over him. His golden eyes, however, were filled with worry.
"I....I fell in from the grou--" he looked up at the hole in the ceiling. "...from up there." he returned his sights to the large canine. "Who are you? Do you live here? What's your name?"

"...." he cocked a brow. This little curious cub had just bombarded him with a series of questions. Should he answer them or not? There was no harm in it, this cub couldn't do anything to him....yet.
"My name's Jamaa. Me and another lives here...." his attitude suddenly dropped. Yaku....I hope you are alright.
His ears lowered a little. "I wish I could go see him...."

Ger cocked a brow, "Why not?" he asked. "If you wanted to see him why not go find him? Where is he?" again with the series of questions. Ger was really curious in his own childish way.
Maybe he has already met this other of Jamaa.

Jamaa sighed and returned his gaze onto the feline. "His name is Yakuti....he's a hyena, can't really miss him, he's blue." Jamaa smiled a little bit at the mention of his little friend. "He's in the graveyard, where all hyenas belong. I can't take care of him, I can't raise him to be a hyena, he has to learn how to be a hyena from another. I know this may sound stupid but I just wanna know how he is." Jamaa said with a meek smile.

The mention of the graveyard caught his intrest. He really wanted to explore it, but he needed to know more about it. Maybe this Jamaa knows about it.
"The graveyard? Yakuti?" Ger asked. "Do you know a lot about the graveyard? I was plannin' on going out there, but I wanted to know more about it before I go out there. Can you tell me something about it?"

Jamaa grinned a little. I know this is wrong, but I wanna know.
"Maybe we can strike a deal, Ger. How about I tell you everything I know about the Elephant Graveyard and you do me a favor while you are there?"
Knowing Ger's wanting knowledge of the place, he wouldn't deny his offer. "When you get there, keep an eye out for Yakuti, he's probably the only blue hyena around." his grin faded. "I just want to know if he's alright."

Ger's eyes lit up with glee. He was finally gonna know more about the Elephant Graveyard, he didn't really care about the other side of the deal.
"Really?! Al-right!" he cheered, bouncing around the big dirt den. "I'll be sure to keep an eye out for him and let him know. I promise!" he said with great euthusiaism.
"Tell me, tell me!"

Jamaa sighed. "This will take a while."
"The Elephant Graveyard is a vast area of bones and scum. Hyenas inhabit the area because of it's dark atmosphere, you must've seen it if you saw the place. There are some lions there too, however lions aren't welcomed there." Jamaa started.
Hours of questions and answers and explainations filled the den with it's echoing words. The sun has already setted.
"Ger, shouldn't you get home soon? You're still young and you shouldn't be out after dark, y'know. Do you want me to take you back?" Jamaa asked, staring out into the star lit night sky.

Ger took in all the information the creature had to say. It was intresting how the lions live apart from the hyenas and yet still together. Jamaa continued to give all the information for the little lion to memorize. As the two talked the sun fell and the moon rose.
Jamaa asked him if he needed an escort, that hurt him....
"Hey, I'm not that defenseless! One day I will be fluffy like Mufasa and the other lions of my Pride and then I can be strong. Just you wait, I can be strong. I'll get back to my pride myself!" a little stubborn, but he was still a cub, his personality not yet set.
The little golden cub ran from the den and headed north to where Pride Rock was. He'd be able to go to the graveyard tomorrow.
"Bye Jamaa!"

Jamaa watched as the little dot disappeared into the distance.
"That was quite strange....I was just told by a cub...." he mused to himself as he looked back into the sky. Maybe I should just go back to the pack lands. Dhati may need me. Jamaa rose to his feet and started back to the Mpinzani packlands. He paused to take a quick glance of the graveyard.
"Good night, Yakuti."
