[Please note that this is set after Nyek dies and Malika has left the oasis pride for some soul-searching and she is currenty slightly mentally unstable and might snap at him if she begins to freak.]
How long have I been running? How much time has passed? The pale lioness known as Malika'eusi asked herself mentally. It seemed like the world had frozen around her as she ran, it was as if time had stopped itself. Tangled thoughts swirled around in her mind as she tried to sort out her feelings some what.
Biting down on her bottom lip as she ran Malika knew she was upset, but that was an understatement. The young adult as furious, fuming and down right just torn up. Everything she had done she had in the best interest of others, in the best interest of the oasis pride but every thing had just came crashing down. It had all fallen apart.
That b*****d, that damn b*****d.... Malika thought viciously, how could she have trusted him, she hadn't loved him, yet had still given him everything in hopes that things would be different that she wouldn't be left alone, that she wouldn't have been abandoned. No, nothing was different.
Despite herself tears began to stream down her face, bitter tears. Closing her eyes she willed herself to go faster to get as far away from the oasis as possible. Her daughters slipped from her mind as she pushed forward. The farther away she was, the better.
Before she knew it she was nearing the south ends of the pridelands, she did not recognize it as such though and finally exhaustion caught up with her, causing her to collapse under a tree, barely shaded, the lower part of her body clearly visible to any that would be passing by.

The massive male, large by nature of the Firekin, moved about the dirt path, free from the river. God almight, free at last, free at last of trees of females. This entire trip had been a waste of time, almost made him wish he had not left that nice cove back on teh beach. Zuri, Dhamisa & Mali, and then there was Mwana....why where there so many females around? Was there some plague going around with the males that prevented them from coming to him? He growled to himself almost pleading with the gods to possibly present him with a male to talk to.
His body was straight, head low, tail low, heavy steps. It just seemed that what he had been eating was not enough for his body to fuel itself to move. It seemed like the rest he was getting was not good enough to supply energy to him. It was strange being alone again. It had been a while since he had been alone for so long, since Ani and he parted ways so many memories ago. Since then he had been with Ashki and the time after that was Trig. Now he was alone....was it that that had made him so strange? He just kept walking, thoughts of reasons running through his head over and over again.
"Zuri....Dhamisa...Mali....Mwana....Trig.....Ashki....Ani...." he mumbled to himself.

Even though she was a sleep her body was still on guard, wary that someone from the pride would come after her to force her return, although part of her wanted to go back the other part just needed to get as far away as possible. The voice of the other, although mumbled caused her ears to stick up trying to pinpoint the direction from which it was coming from. The moment the name Dhamisa landed upon her ears her violet eyes snapped open and she was on her paws instantly.
Nyek had talked about that female, or had atleast said her name and wanted nothing to do with anything or any reminder from the lands she had just escaped. The pale lioness with green marks under her eyes and upon her shoulder relaxed slightly when she saw that it was a male and not one that she recognized from the oasis, but she still didn't trust anyone she couldn't bare to let her guard down that much.
"Who's there?" The female called out after having backed up hiding her form slightly, it atleast hid the fact she was female a bit but not completely.

Trigger's body jolted up when someone's voice called out. His body immediately tensed up and let a growl roll inside of him. He was not very good with greeting and usually lashed out at being surprised. The male was proned to just lunging head first and take on whatever was there.
"Come out here, right now. Get out here and I may not have to rend you."
he snarled, his lips pulled back revealing the rows of sharp teeth. He crouched low and moved around slowly to what he thought was her flank. Mwana was waiting for him and he'd rather not have her waiting for him. She was probablty resting again, sleeping.

Malika'eusi's violet never left the form of the male that was once before her, however she did not make it look like she was following him with her eyes. Despite the fact her limbs were exhausted she was ready to attack if needed but then decided that it wasn't really worth it, the sooner this lion was gone the better. Eyes still following the massive male she took a step forward exposing her eyes, eye markings and otherwise white fur.
"So demanding aren't we, can't seem to wait for anything eh?" The female cooned out with a soft chuckle, perhaps this was just what the lioness need a bit of fun, even if it might be dangerous. His teeth didn't seem to faze her, nothing really did, perhaps it was because of some of the things she had seen in the past.
"You know it is rude to not answer a question when it's directed at you," A pause in her semi-soft almost taunting voice before she continued, shifting her body to follow the form that her eyes had been following. "Then again, I was rude myself, I should have just left you to your business, but then you had said a name that one could say, sparked my interest."
Another chuckle escaped her maw as she flicked her tail behind her. Is this what insanity is like? Taking risks you would otherwise ignore? Regardless Malika had already pressed him with questions and it was too late to back out now.

Trigger collected his body, bringing the growl to down a low growl, a warning growl. He did not take well to these popping up females. Sure he could tolerate it but it just got to bugging him now. He didn't care who it was now, he was just ready to jump anyone right now. He growled more and moved his body a little.
"Silence, I don't have to give reason for the things I do. I've about had it with these females as they are and one stalking me isn't gonna make it any better."
The Firekin scoffed and looked away from her. She looked....her fur was just like hers....
"Rude, you are the one who asked my name first. I know manners, hell, I lived with a male with nothing but. You ask a name before giving it. So, are you gonn oblige?" he called back. A name? What name did he call out that seemed to spark her interest? "And the name, which was it, I said many of them just moments ago. Zuri? Mwana? Ashki? ANi? Dhamisa?"

"So much like him......" Malika mumbled shuddering at the thought even though it wasn't extremely bad. "Stalking you? I can't imagine why anyone would want to stalk you." There was no sarcasm in her voice but from what she knew now she couldn't imagine why anyone would want to stalk him let alone really be around him, but then she wanted to see if there was something else to him.
A yawn escaped her maw, a semi response to his asking for her name. "I suppose that I could tell you, but then is there really a point to that, after all what are the odds that we will run into each other again after this meeting?" Silence fell after that as the pale lioness wondered of his reaction before telling him finally "If you must know, my name is Malika, short and simple. Happy now?" She sneered at him before letting it fall and sitting down slightly, resting upon her haunches, but still ready to strike at any moment. Malika had also decided that she would not give him her full name so that it would be harder to find her should he go searching for her.
A smirk crossed her maw as he asked her which name had caused her to call out to him. "The latter one." That was very specific of her, she did believe that he was smart enough to figure it out on his own. "I believe she was in the pride that I have been trying to escape the memory of, alas now I can't not if I think about her name and how she relates to that b*****d...." Another pause "I fear that that place is haunting me."

"Good, you wouldn't want to stalk me. You have better things to do than follow a Firekin around these stupid lands. I'm a vagrant and if you followed, you would be as lost as I am here."
He growled back. Trigger was a bit agitated but he had to remember to keep his temper under control. He was traveling with another and he had to assure her safety...even from himself. Strangely, he didn't seem so agitated around her, he had no real reason too other than her high-princess attitude. He glanced at the other female with a wary eye. Something about her just set him off, besides the fact that her pure white fur reminded him of her more.
"Not entirely. Moto'Vianzio, Trigger, is mine. Remember it," he looked away from her and to find that tree where he had left Mwana under. Maybe he shouldn't make that a habit now. Then again, the lioness got tired often and he was pushing her a bit harder than she is able to go. She has to learn, she is a rogue now, not a princess of that Mist-whatever pride. She chose this path herself for whatever reason and now she was gonna have to deal with a brute. He didn't care who knew his name, he was likely gonna welcome them into a nice claw-fill paw. He does not take lightly to anyone who wishes to piss him off...or is in a 'bad' mood.
"Dhamisa? I saw her not too long ago with a cub of hers. You best stay away from her, she has had enough of a hard time."
He spoke, looking back to her.
"Memories are hard to forget, I know all too well sometimes. I also hate my pride, I hate those who are a part of it and I hate the mention of them. As far as I know, if you hate a pride, just say it. You aren't part of it anymore, you are out here, you are a rogue now. You aren't part of any pride anymore."

Malika knew that it was in her best interest not to set off the other so she decided to choose her words a bit more carefully. "I'm already lost, I have no idea where I am, I just wanted to put a lot of distance between myself and that place...." A pause followed her words before adding in her regular soft tone of voice "That is all I care about now..."
A soft chuckle, but not a taunting one came from her as she replied "I will do my best to remember you're name, but it is not a set-in-stone promise, will that be a problem?" The white lioness asked him with curiousity in her tone of voice. Once more her tail flicked behind her the green stripes upon the tail nearly invisible as it flicked.
"Correct, however I do not plan on running into her at any given time, I'll do my best to avoid her, after all one can only imagine how she feels now that the lord is dead." A light almost sarcastic laugh if a laugh could be sarcastic. "Probably relieved.....how could I have been so stupid?" She mumbled the last part so that it was inaudiable.
Malika met the eyes of the other for the time that he looked toward her. "I fear that I am tied to the pride whether I like it or not...." Her voice trailed off before she spoke again "I do not hate the pride but mearly the male who started it and is now dead, it was not going anywhere to begin with anyway....I should have seen through it all...."
The pride would always be etched into her memory, always, everytime she heard a pride memebers name, everytime she looked at the triple V scar on her thigh, everytime she looked at her children....her children...

Trigger huffed, the growl still rolling inside. It was not gonna stop, esepcially for a stranger like this female. He didn't care who she was really, but she had some similar things to him but not ones he was particularly proud of. He ignored a few of her questions only answering ones he thought were better, he turned away from her gaze.
"The pride's blood runs through my veins, it's genes are in mine. It is who I am, I cannot escape my pride no matter where I go. I am bound to it until I am dead."
He replied. Not much for shining light onto a deep discussion like this one. He turned his pale green gaze back to the female's and narrowed them, the growl growing louder now.
"Do not speak ill of her, she is a mother and she tries to take care of her daughter. If anything she should be respected. Dhamisa is a good lioness and for all I know, she didn't deserved to be wronged."
he snapped. He got to his feet and scoffed.
"I've had enough of his conversation. I am leaving, go hunt or something, keep running, if I cared, I'd say find a better pride."
Trigger said nothing else, no gestures, and simply left, going back to Mwana.

Malika noticed that his agitation seemed to grow with everything he said and everything that she said, most things atleast. "I was not born into the pride so it's blood does not run through me, though it runs through the veins of my children......But because the blood runs in their veins does not make bound, it may affect their behavior but no one is truely bound to anything unless they choose to be." She probably wasn't making any sense to the larger lion but she gave it a shot none the less. "However if that is how you feel, there is nothing wrong with that. Atleast you have left the pride that you dislike and are moving on to better things..."
Clearing her throat she listened to his words about Dhamisa. "I did not mean her any harm, I just do not wish to run into her, it might bring back memories that she would otherwise care to avoid." Her voice was steady and calm, she was so different from before it was hard for her to believe but she pushed on. "I believe that she is a good lioness, I have no doubts about that," A pause before she continued "No one deserves to be wronged, yet we all are in some way."
Malika's violet eyes only watched him as he moved and turned away. "I bid you farewell, may you learn to control that temper that was rising." Despite her speaking she didn't really care if he heard her or not. "May you find a better pride like I hope to do...."
Then she turned to her left and walked slowly in that direction mainly seeking shade to rest under.
