Leg in the air, on his side, Ewan looked like any old cat cleaning his fur. But hey, one of the benefits of feline spines is that you can lick your own back feet, after all.
If there was one thing, besides their mother, Ewansiha shared with the other white son of Rahima it was that he liked to stay clean. Only she would note the likeness if she could see Ewan in his current attitude, recalling a cub in the Crater, cleaning his pink and white pelt, obsessed with cleanliness...
She however, wasn't there, despite her sons efforts to find her. Though these days said efforts were slowed by the distraction he'd found on the way. But what a nice distraction, his new friend Dumu was.

Got to get away...what was it that he told me again? Oh right... concentrate on a happy thought, drown his voice out....
The demi-god's eyes closed and wrinkled as he forced a thought, an image, an idea into his head. During his training the words of his mentor kept running through his head, he knew that a seer could not possible to that and it was himself. He was as if he was reading the other's thought every second of everyday. He could not stand it anymore. He had not slept in almost three days, again. His body was weakened from physical and seer training, he was pushed to the point of his physical limits.
Right now, he just had to get away from here. His parents would not know, they have never came to check up on him. Akiiki...he could not leave the Elephant Graveyard without being punished by his maned wolf mentor. How did this all happen? Nevertheless, he had to get away from this place he had to find a good place to make life better.
"Where are you..."

Ewan lazily finished his wash. He lazily stretched. He laaaazily got to his feet and decided that today he'd go see the younger male again. Tommorrow he'd search for his mother. Once again, he made his excuses to himself for his dalliance here.
It'd been months of searching, with no contact with other lions. He'd finially found a friend. He needed this restful stop. He'd say goodbye to Dumu today. As soon as he found him.
Now, where could he be...?

Dumu dashed across the land quickly, his paws clad in dirt and grass. His running skills were horrid, more like slamming his paws against the ground which made them ach even more. He ran and ran, he knew Ewan was somewere around here then it hit him. His center eye flickered in the sunlight making it seem as if it blinked.
The image of Ewan, the thought, the idea, that he used to drown out his mentor's voice became something more. It was a vision. A vision that his mentor tried to teach him but to no avail until now. A present time skill of locating. He just got a glimpse of the otehr lion and his surrounding but that was it. THe vision was as quick as a blink but gave so much information.
"Ewan!"
He called out as he came over the hill. Sure enough, down the hill side was that adult lion. He smiled and quickly ran to him, tripping over himself now and again. As the dark red juvenile got closer, his heavy breathing became apparent. Yadumu was too tired and his words were hoarse and fragmented.
"Ewan... I... found you."

The second he heard Dumu's voice, the soft, sunwarmed demeanor dropped away from Ewan. On reflex, he stopped ambling along and changed his stance - all four paws on the ground, steady. Last time someone had come running towards him, calling his name, they had had an angry crocodile snapping at their tail. Clearly not the case, but he did seem upset...
"Dumu...what's wrong?" He frowned, worried.

Dumu's shook from exhaustion and tiredness that three days could produce, soon enough he could even hallucinate...or would it just be more visions. His chest raised and fell with each heavy breath. The dark red lion moved up beside him and smiled a bit before easing himself down.
"I...I just ran away from my mentor. I can't stand it anymore, the things he does for me and with my powers, it is torture. I... I can't stay with him anymore. He pushes me too hard, his training is too intense for me, I am only a cub!"
He shouted. He wasn't a cub anymore. His mane was coming out now and he was getting bigger and slightly stronger. He knew Aki was stronger than him, always. He had pushed himself along with his training just to match his younger sibling. It was strange to be weaker than a younger sibling to him. At least be equal was what he wanted.
"Oh Ewan, I thought I...wouldn't find you again. I guess I lucked out with my seering."

"I'm glad you found me - I was coming to find you." Ewan was still frowning, studying the red one closely. He'd smile when Dumu seemed alright once more. Some proper rest was clearly needed...
A low growl started in his throat. Who pushed someone this young that hard? He looked worn out from his 'training'. Still, he needed to calm down. Now wasn't the time to get angry.
"Don't worry, you don't have to go back to your mentor. Do you have anywhere to go, now you've run? I'll help you." He forgot about his newly washed clean fur and reached out a paw to touch his muddy one. An offer of comfort and help.

Dumu looked up to him, taking his paw raising to his feet shakingly.
"I have nowhere else to go. My mother expected me to stay with my mentor to master this stupid skill of mine and she had not visited me since. I dunno what she has been doing or where she is. I got nowhere else to go and I am certainly not staying here anymore."
He sighed and leaned up against him, the images of that night before made him calm down even more at least he was held up by the other's body. At least his "Contact Visions" were still working fine. His "Dream Diving" has weaked as he had been sleeping alone, no one else around him to Dream Dive into. This one was just that he shared the dreams of another, his presence was hidden as he watched on, or the possbility to dreaming of a past dream or the past of that target. His "Quick Image" has not worked well either other than that night with Ewan. His quick visions were just quick snaps of the pfuture that just gave him small information like names, pretty useless otherwise.
"Ewan...why were you coming to find me?"

"I was coming to say goodbye, and to see if I could come visit you if I ever travelled near here again. I swore I'd find my family."
Nogea, his twin, his brother, the only sibling he'd ever known. Asherah, the dark cub he could never work out and had liked for that quality. Rahima...his mother. His mother. They'd meant the world to him once. How he'd gone so long without knowing they were alright, somewhere in this world was a mystery. They didn't need to live together anymore, but Ewan just had to know where they were and that they were doing okay.
Friendships are like families, only you find them, you're not born into them. His mother had always told him that. And now it seemed important not to leave Dumu behind, when he was clearly not alright and when he had nowhere to go.
"I left some of a kill behind, near where I slept last night. Could reclaim that if you're hungry, and get some rest...then you could come with me. If you'd like."

"R-really?"
He asked looking at the male more. He let a purr run through his body a bit as his eyes turned away. He chuckled. He never thought that anyone would ask him to come along for another but his family. Aki was in the graveyard with that b*****d mane wolf Aka. His parents were unknown to him now, but he was sure as long as Athrun was alive, his mother was safe. He turned back to the male and smiled.
"You can't tell with my red fur...but I'm blushing."
Dumu leaned against him more.
"Not hungry, but rest is good. I can rest along the way, I suppose. You got places to go, I guess I can come too."

"I wouldn't offer if I wasn't serious." Ewan shrugged. He just wanted to make sure his friend would be fine and dandy. Well, not dandy-dandy. Maybe it'd be fun to travel together for a while, anyway.
"Can go when you want. I'm in no rush. ...do you think your family will try to get you back here for more training?"

He smiled and eased himself down.
"I would know, after all, I am a seer. Don't feel that you need to father me, Ewan. I can take care of myself. I'm just gonna...rest a bit before we go."
He yawned a bit and rested his head down. His body seemed to cool down of all it's tension and aching as he rested there. It felt so calming and so...relaxing. Maybe he would rest a bit before going. Ewan was so nice to him. Kind, sweet, caring.... if only he knew how he felt about it.
"Thank you Ewan."

"Ok, we'll rest here then. And I don't mean to father you, Dumu. I'm sure you can take of yourself, I'm just..."
Ewan flopped down, letting his shaggy head rest on one foreleg. Father him? God no. Something about the idea of that was awful. He cared about the younger male but it certaintly wasn't as a father.
...perhaps he'd best not explore those feelings, he decided. He let his blue eyes close. Rest abit. No thinking.

Dumu chuckled and moved himself against the older lion. Age did not matter anymore, they were both lions, they were both males and that was that. What was age but an indication of life? With a yawn he leaned up against Ewan.
"You aren't fatherin' me, Ewan. You are just.... being caring. No need to finish that sentence, tell me later."
Dumu yawned again and nodded off. At least he had a nice pillow. Hopefully, the failings of him Dream Dive would let him sleep peacefully and his contact images won't wake him. But being near someone he had invaded so much already with only touching a few times, only new images would appear to him. He could finally rest easy.
