In the dark of night a bright figure could still be seen across the savannah. Saa cried loudly as she ran. She felt heavy and filled out a bit more because of her pregnancy. With Zingatia gone she realized that she would have to raise them herself anf the thought of that was maddening. That wasn't how a family was supposed to work. A painful feeling went through her heart as she remembered all the things that he had said. She had actually fallen for his words and let him have the chance of impregnating her and it was all because of the gods.
Why are they punishing me?
Her running carried her farther than she would have hoped and she stopped. Everything seemed different. It was much too dark to distinugish anything. Her mind was already too jumbled until she felt a familiar breeze. She knew in an instant what it was. The acacia tree. She revelled in that knowledge before running as fast as she could.
"Usufii..." She creid out hoping he would hear.

 The grey, god touched wolf laid sprawled under the Acacia's leaves. The moon was out and the beams peered through the tree's leaves casting rays down all around him. It was times like these that he loved where he was, though sometimes it feels like something was missing...
Usu sighed, paws reaching into the air as if trying to reach to the beams.
Suddenly his shoulder started to hurt.
"Thank you, -----. I've really enjoyed the company. I hope we meet again." a female's voice echoed inside his head accompanied by a blurred image.
Usu shook his head. What was that? his brows furrowed. Lately, since he met Saa, his shoulder started to hurt and then these wierd things keep happening. What were these?
Usu whined.

Saa was utterly distraut. Her lover had left her pregnant and she had no one to help her. The female haad to turn to the only real friend she had. Limbs ached from the intensity of her run but it wouldn't stop her. She needed to find Usufii or she wouldn't know what to do.
"Usufii!"
Her tone was urgent as the Acacia tree came into view and soon the dark wolf under it. Tears still streamed down her muzzle as she stopped before him. She didn't know how great she looked at the time but she needed help and her looks and full stomach weren't going to stop her.
"Usufii...I need your help. Please." Saa's voice was pleading and her yellow eyes were hopeful.

Usu's grey body jerked up when his name was called. His ears perked up and his eyes opened, scanning. In the distance was a moving figure coming in his direct, it's fur coloration was strange too.
The figure moved in closer, it was a female wild dog he knew well, Săa.
"Săa? What is wrong?" he asked urgently as he lơked down at her. Her belly was bulging and she was crying. Something must've happened to her. Who would do this to a pregnant female? Where was her mate?
"Săa, what's going on?"

Saa still cried as she as she buried her muzzle into his neck. She was so glad that she had found him. He was always so kind to her and she really needed his comfort this time. The female tried to calm herself down as she spoke.
"I'm pregnant..." That alone made her shiver and want to break down again but she had to continue even if it hurt.
"My mate left me alone...to care for them. I don't think I can do it and they're due so soon..." She took a sharp intake of beath to try and stop the tears that threatened to come again. It hurt so much to know that her pups wouldn't have the father that they deserved. She couldn't help it as her eyes filled with tears again. Usu was the only one who could help her now but she wasn't sure how he could.

Saa felt a bit dizzy from her crying. The pounding of her heart wouldn't calm down as he spoke. "They won't come that soon I do not think. I'm in no pain yet." Her tail swung slowly behind her from his kindness. Usu was helping her so much and they weren't even his pups. When he asked who their father was Saa recoiled. She didn't want to remember let alone tell others but with their birth it would most likely be obvious considering his markings. The distraut female cleared her throat and whispered a name.
"Zingatia..."

Zingatia? Zingy?
"Wait, you mean Zingy is the father? But he was nice when I met the guy." Usu said, pulling off slightly. "What brought him to do this to you, Saa?"
This was wierd, lately he has ran into more maned wolves than he could count. First there was Tajwar & Sesere, then there was Zingy, then there was Săa and finally Sikki.
"Come, let's get inside."

Saa shakily nodded. he was the first person to know about her silly endeavour. "Yes...he's the father of my pups." She blinked back tears again as she tried to think of why. "I don't know why. He seemed so kind and gentle when we mated and then..." She sniffed back another break down as she strained to go on. "...he said that he wanted nothing to do with me and ran off. I don't know what I did wrong."
At that point there was no holding back her tears as they streamed down her muzzle and dripped down her nose. Saa nodded and followed Usu to his den.

Safely inside, Usu sat himself down.
"Zingy did this to you? It's hard to believe that he would. He gave no reason?" The Zingy he met was that of what she described. He was kind and gentle. Maybe Usu should talk to him, straighten this all out. No one should be a single parent.
Suđdenly his shoulder shivered in pain.
"No! Get away from me!" a voice, gender was hard to determined but it was a voice. Was it pain? fear? anger?
"Gah!" he cried as he lost fơoting and fell to the ground.
"Damn...."

Saa slipped into his den and settled into the back of it. The female fell to her side as another soft sob left her.
"Yes. He did this to me. I don't know why he did but what happened happened and now I'm stuck with the consequences." She looked at her belly and saw how far she really was. It pained her to know that these would probably be her last moments of contentment before her pups were born.
Suddenly Usu fell. She stood as quickly as she could and nudged him with her muzzle.
"Usufii. Are you alright?!..."

His shoulder hurt again. What is with this? This things has caused nothing but trouble for me...
"Y-yeah, I'm alright..." he reassured, pushing himself up. "It's nothing really. I'm alright, really."
Chaning the subject. "Well, I can help you out then. I know you have to stay here with your pups, I can go get you things." Usu's tail twitched from the pain, he was trying hard to hide it. The pain he got from these strange events usually lasted a while, all he can do is mask it with a smile.

Saa raised her brow to him. "Are you sure you're alright Usufii?" A sft smile came to her maw as he stood. He was trying so hard to hide his pain from her but failing miserably. One thing that Saa knew was how to detect pain.
"You don't need to hide it from me Usu. Tell me what's wrong." She was worried about her firend and wanted to make sure he was alright.
"I have to go back to my den to have my pups. It was just so hard to fathom that I'd be alone until then that I had to find you." She sighed and nuzzled under his chin. "You've helped me so much. So let me help you with your pain."

The maned wolf hesitated.
"Well...recently my mark started to hurt and then there are these wierd pictures in my head and voices tơo. It's wierd. Lately it has become more frequent." he explained, ears swiveled.
"You can use my den, Săa. I don't mind it. Besides, it gives you shelter and a nice shade under the Acacia. The watering hole is nearby tơ. I can get the fơod tơo." In truth, Usu didn't want her to walk back to her own den when she was already in one. This one even had a handy male to help out tơo.

Saa listened to him speak and instanly knew what he was feeling. "You are god touched..." This was something that she had always tried to attain but she would never get to because of the life in her belly. She looked to him for a moment before smiling. "It is a very blessed gift. Use t weel my dear Usu."
Just a few moments later Saa felt movement in her stomach and chuckled. "I guess I have no choice but to stay here since my pups seem so eager." She knew that she wouldn't give birth to her pups now but soon. "Thank you so much Usu. You'd be more of a father than Zingatia ever would."
