"Kohji let go of me! I said let go! You're gonna mess up your fur if you keep this up!"
Ger whined as he felt the little cub cling to his back side, well rather his tail. It was only a few weeks since the cubs were born and apparently a few of them have developed rather....clingy personalities. Ger was always wandering off like usual, hunting, running and the like. However, since this purple one learned to walk, run, talk, and play, he hasn't been able to get far. Because he kept following him.
"Kohji, let go!"
He cried shaking his tail a bit to try to get the cub off of him, but he clung tight. Reluctantly, he caved into his playing and sat down on teh cub.
"How do you like that you little, brat." Kohji squirmed under his brother's weight. Pure muscle, plus age and height...he was pretty heavy. He pushed and pawed at his 'brother's' lower back, trying to get him off. Ger wasn't even sitting on him, ratherly lightly pressed on. Kohji made funny growling noises, he had not developed them yet.
"Brother, get off of me! You're messing up my fur!" "That didn't stop you from clinging on my tail.""But that is because you would clean me afterwards like always.""Good point. But still, do you think I like doing it?" "Yes."Ger simply smiled his sweet, charming smile and remained pressed on his little brother. It was fun to watch him play. To Ger this was playing, to Kohji it was plain bullying. "Mom, Ger is sitting on me!""No I'm not!"

"Boys, play nice," Aysha called from a couple of feet away. She was resting in the shade of a nearby tree since she heated up far too quickly in the sun with her half-black coat. Curled up, asleep, beside her were a few of her other offspring from this litter. Glancing down at them, she counted. There was Inoa... Kohaku... Hayate and--
She counted again.
Inoa, Kohaku, Hayate... no Athena.
Glancing around frantically, the lioness attempted to locate her last child. Yet she couldn't disrupt the sleeping cubs beside her, and so she was rather limited in how far she could twist and turn to look for her only daughter.
"Athena!" she called, though rather quiet. She couldn't have gone far, right? The little female was, indeed, not far from her mother. She wasn't that confident yet. She was confident enough, however, to attempt climbing the tree that her mother was resting under. While Aysha had dozed a little, Athena had taken the opportunity to crawl away from her mother and carefully, though quite clumsily, climb up the tree. Thankfully it was a rather skinny and short tree, otherwise she may have never made it up.
Now she was out on one of the skinny branches, attempting to keep her balance. The stupid branch! Why wouldn't it stop moving? Going out farther, it became increasingly difficult to stay steady.
Eventually she just lost her balance and slipped off the branch, though she managed to catch herself by her tiny claws. Mewing helplessly, she tried to pull herself back up. Yet before she could get back on the branch, the tiny thing snapped, sending her falling down towards the ground. Her mother, however, was right under the falling branch, and so she felt the wrath of both the falling branch and the falling cub.
Startled, Aysha whirled her head around, peering at a broken branch and a rather disoriented Athena. Worried like no other, she frantically pushed the branch off then began grooming her daughter.
"Athena! Don't do that again, you had me worried sick! You aren't hurt are you? Does anything hurt? Athena, say something," she said quickly, attempting to get something out of the cub. But there was only one thing she could hear coming from Athena:
Laughter.

Hayate peered at Ger and his purple pelted brother from a little distance away. The black cub was, small-ish compared to the rest of his siblings. Perhaps he had been born last. It made him apprehensive though, of whether he could play just as rough as the others, run just as fast as the others.
His wriggled as he sat, contemplating on what to do, he looked over at Aysha his mother and smiled, but he still wasn't playing necessarily, though he wanted to.
Padding over to where Ger and Kohji were, Ger sitting somewhat on Kohji. Hayate giggled and sat next to Ger, contemplating how he could get up on his back. Everything must look so different from up there!
He tried jumping and grabbing onto Ger's back, but he was still shorter, shorter then the others, and he couldn't get up far enough. "Eh! Eh!" he squeaked every time he jumped up, he tried to cling to Ger's back with his front paws and lost the grip, falling to the ground, a rather defeated look upon his maw.

Ger perked his ears when he heard Aysha cry out one of the cubs name and then came the laughter of the said cub. Athena, the only girl of the litter. At least she was independent enough to climb a small tree. Her father's species' genes, leopards were known for their abilities to climb and the great deal of balance they had. He thought for a moment, did these cubs inherit their father's leopard traits and their mother's lion strength? That would be interesting to see.
"Athena okay, Aysha?"
He asked cautiously. He worried about the cubs a lot, possibly just as much as the parents themselves. Call it fatherly instinct kicking in early, but it was weird. If he saw any of the cubs sad, upset, or alone, even dirty, he would come to them.
Ger's teal eyes followed one of the cubs leaving Aysha's side and padding over to him and Kohji. He sat down beside him for a moment before jumping up and down making strange, rather cute, noises as he jumped. The lion smiled softly getting off his struggling brother, picked up the dark coated cub, Hayate, and carefully placed him on his back. Nudging him more to make sure that he was secure on his back. It was sure wide enough, one benefit from his young endeavors. He was much stronger now, and that strength came with a decent bulked body, hopefully his father would not turn him away for something like that. He was often worried about his father's views on him, he tried his best to seem presentable around him.
His tail swished behind him as he looked back to Hayate and to Kohji. Smiling again he motioned to the purple cub to follow. He walked along slowly to let the youngest brother could enjoy the ride on big brother's back.
"Alright you two, time to go back to your mother."
----
Kohji nodded and followed along side of his 'big brother' as he and some of his sibling called him. Kohji, in fact, saw Ger as a real big brother, by blood and all. He was still young, he didn't know yet. He was happy being around Ger...besides the occasional free grooming. When they played, he'd get a groom to get fixed up. At least to Ger, the cub would never complain about his fur much knowing that the lion would clean him later.
Bounding up ahead, Kohji hopped against his mother, nuzzling into her before slipping onto his back and leaned against her. He smiled up to her with the same black eyes she had and gave a rather weak, inaudible purr. He was still developing.
"Hey, mom."

Relieved, though still somewhat confused, by the cub's laughter, Aysha let out a great sigh. At least no harm had fallen upon her daughter because of this. She didn't know what she would do if anything happened to any member of her family.
Nodding shakily, she glanced at Ger. "Yeah, she's just fine."
Athena, still giggling to herself, bounced off of her mother as if nothing had ever happened. "Did you see me mama?" she called excitedly, her ears perked and a great smile plastered across her maw. "I climbed a tree!" Sure, she had also fallen out of the tree, but hey, it was her first time climbing. She felt really good about herself for actually making it up with such a lack of experience.
Spotting her older 'brother', the only girl of the litter let out a slight mew and ran immediately towards him. "Did you see me? My gosh, that was so fun!!" she giggled, bouncing around him.
Still a bit shaken from her daughter's fall, the black and white lioness watched Athena carefully. Her cubs were still very young, and she wasn't about to let something happen to them. She wasn't going to lose another one of her offspring, not to anything or for anything in the world. Yet as Kohji, the Jack look-alike, came over to her and leaned against her, she forced herself to forget her worries for now. Nothing bad would happen. Her family was safe.
Purring, she nudged her son then gently licked the top of his head. "Hey, Kohji."

Hayate mewed as Ger picked him up but he smiled and purred as he was placed upon his big brothers back. He nudged back at Ger nudging him to make sure he was secure. Then he sat up straight, green eyes glimmering and gleaming because he was now happy. He was so high up form the ground everything looked so different!
He lay down on Ger's back, enjoying the ride, and he snuggled against his big brother and purred, to show how thankful he was to the older 'sibling.' Hayate knew that he could always count on Ger, always.
"Mommy look at me!" Hayate called as they got closer to where his mother and Kohji was. He was beaming with pride, his tail flicking back and forth. This was fun, and he smiled. Athena and Kohji were down on the ground but HE was with Ger. Yes, today perhaps he would be bigger then the rest.

Ger smiled.
"That is good to hear. Athena, you be careful when you climb trees, try not to go any of the higher branches."
He said as he himself laid down carefully beside Aysha and the five siblings. Looking down to the bundles of fur, he noticed that Inoa and Kohaku were alseep. Strange since Kohaku's personality was rather...fast. The lion was sort of glad that he was asleep. He was mindful of where the three waked ones were; Kohji beside his mother, Hayate upon his back, and Athena...prancing around him. He smiled on as the three went upon their businesses.
"Aysha, did you sleep well last night?"
He asked casually, attempting to start a small conversation before one of the cubs decided to take him off somewhere to play or something. His paws laid before him, one over the other, his head held high and his chest out a bit. Ger had changed a lot since the two met, it was many months ago. All he could now was smile and cherish the memories he had.
Kohji mewed from the lick his mother gave. It was so warm and nice, just like Ger's but Aysha's were much more special to him.
"Mornin' mum."
He mewed again, giving his strange, awkward purr. His dark eyes fell up to Hayate. He wanted to be up there too...not fair! Kohji rolled onto his feet and carefully climbed up onto Aysha's back, mindful of his claws of course.
"Well, I got mom!"
He cried, peering over the lioness' head. He wasn't that taller than Hayate was, Ger hadn't grown in height that much, as of now, Ger and Aysha were similar, give or take an inch or two.

Aysha smiled as Ger gave the youngest of the litter a ride on his back. She was grateful to have the young lion around. He was quite helpful with the cubs a lot of the time. And her children seemed to adore him, which was all the better. It gave her time to relax and just think to hereslf. Being a mother of five cubs was hard work.
As the golden lion came over, she adjusted herself so that she could look at him without being too uncomfortable. "I slept well enough, thank you Ger." Glancing down at the three cubs that were awake and moving around, she smiled again. "The cubs really seem to have a liking for you," she commented, her eyes shining as she watched her cubs. It was simply amazing, this feeling she got when she was around them... it was the most wonderful feeling a lioness could have.
Purring, the lioness flicked her ears playfully as Kohji climbed to the top of her head. She knew that he was trying to be like Hayate a little, and it amused her greatly.
"Just be careful, Kohji," she reminded him. Of course, it wasn't like he could have actually gotten hurt by falling off of her, but she still didn't want him to fall. Call it a mother's instinct.
Ignoring Kohji and Hayate's little 'war' of who could get higher than the other, Athena purred and pawed at Ger's great shoulders. "I want to learn to climb the biggest trees!" she exclaimed, spinning in a cirle then stopping with her chest lowered to the ground and her rump up in the air. "I'd be able to see everything!!"
Excited now by her new goal, she jumped over her mother and went over towards the tree she had previously climbed. Yet, as she reached the trunk of it, she remembered falling out of it. Sure, it had been fun with that adrenaline rush and everything, but at the same time it had been scary. She flicked her tail in uncertainty.
"Actually, I'm kinda tired," she mumbled, glancing over her shoulder then walking back to where her mother and Ger were resting with the rest of her siblings.
"Maybe I'll climb trees later."

Hayate watched as Kohji climbed onto Aysha and he huffed and stuck his tongue out at Kohji, "Ger is still taller!" he said rather happy with that. Ger wasn't full grown, but he wasn't too small either. Sitting on Ger's back Hayate felt like he was normal sized. He shuffled his way up the back of Ger's neck a bit so he could rest his head on the puff of chocolate mane that was beginning to show on his big brother.
His ears twitched as he watched his sister go over to a tree. What was her fascination with trees all about? Well, he did want to be bigger, meh, seemed he could never catch a break. But he was brave, least he thought he was. He'd get bigger and strong and maybe then he wouldn't be smallish.
"Mommy..." Hayate said softly, peering over Ger's head, " I see you mommy!," then he ducked his head behind Ger's again. Playing hide and seek sort of, Ger being the thing to hide behind.
Hayate loved his big brother so much.
"Ger, someday will you show me how to climb a tree?" he asked tilting his head trying to look at Ger's eyes, tail flicking behind him. Surely with Ger with him, he would be able to get up a tree, and Ger could help him down too.

"I am glad to hear that, Aysha. I guess with these five bundled around you and Dad would be a comforting feeling know that you are surrounded by those who love you."
He smiled, eying down at the two boys who were resting, Inoa and Haku. A rare sight Haku, actually asleep...that is until he awakens and then everyone would have their paws full. Inoa was a difficult one, Ger has not yet figured him out just yet. All in all, the five of them were so different and Ger loved them all, as siblings and even more as if they were his own. He was careful with them, protective at times, and was never able to resist walking from any of them when they cried or whined. It was a hard feeling to describe, it was as if he had to take care of the little ones. Wonder if it worked for any cub he came across?
"Kohji, be careful. Your mother's head is not a tree to climb all over. She needs it you know."
he joked as his attention turned to Athena. Ger turned his paw onto it's side and motioned it to the little cub to come to him. He enjoyed Athena's company most of all teh cubs, Kohji and Hayate in close second with the other two. Maybe it was because Athena was the only girl. Who would know.
"Thena, come here. Lets leave tree climbin' for some other time, alright?"
Ger's ears twitched as he felt the weight upon his back and neck move around. He did not mind it, it was actually amusing hearing the cubs play, especially when he was used as a "play-thing". He smiled,
"Sure, Hayate. If I can climb and if you don't mind my method of getting out of a tree, falling. Tell you the truth, I am a very bad tree climber."
It was true, the only time he has ever climbed a tree was when he was a cub chasing Kujack around. It was amusing really. He would shimmy up the trunk, hugging it and moving up it like a caterpillar. It was awkward, but it got him to his destination. Moving from branch to branch was the easiest part for him. However, when it came down to it, he could not get out of a tree very well. He always found the falling-out method the only one he could do. That is right, he falls out of trees.

Hayate giggled when Ger said his way of getting out of trees was falling. He clung to his big brother and still refused to let go, not yet at least. "Then...can you teach me something else sometime? I want to get big and strong like you Ger..." it was true, Ger was Hayate's role model, he wanted to be just as strong and just as big as Ger one day.
Green hues wandered over to where Kohji was perched on his mother's head still, it looked as if Kohji might fall off if he wasn't very careful. Would make Hayate laugh, but afterwards he would feel bad. Though Hayate still wanted to climb trees after seeing how his sister Athena wanted to so much.
Would be fun to climb trees together.

"Well, when you are a bit stronger, Hayate. I will teach you something or two. Besides, you getting as big and strong as me will never happen because I will always get bigger and stronger."
He chuckled, his tone playful. He knew that Hayate wanted to big and strong, every male wanted that at some point. To be big and strong to protect, to fight, or just to attract females. There was always a reason behind it. Ger's reason...there wasn't any, it was not intentional. It gave him some complications. He could no longer sit like he used to, his body was heavier when he was tired, and well...he just felt bigger. However, it let him take down larger game, and he could protect the family if need be.
"I am sure if you keep trying, Hayate, you will be what you want to be."
Kohji yawned softly and looked down at his mother's head. Big and fluffy. He turned his head to Athena and then to his brothers. He yawned again.
"Right, I'm tired too....I'm gonna take a nap now. Ger, clean my fur later alright?"
Kohji did not wait for his reply knowing that someone will groom him later, it always happened, otherwise he would be wailing about the den and family wanting someone to do it. The purple cub slide from his mother's shoulders and buried himself into where his sleeping brothers were. Curled up and slept. He was too tired.

Aysha, once her son had slid off of her and nestled by her side to rest, layed her head down upon the ground. Five cubs were exhausting, and she was beginning to feel tired, both mentally and physically. Sighing, she curled herself slightly so that she was protectively around her three sleeping cubs.
Athena glanced at Ger as he called to her, telling her to leave tree climbing for another time. She didn't have any argument with that! Smiling happily, she bounded past her mother and nearly ran head-first into Ger. Luckily, though, she caught herself and merely bumped into him.
"Do you think I'll be able to climb reallyreallyreally big trees one day, Ger?" she asked curiously, looking back over at the tree she had just 'climbed' not too long ago. She tilted her head.
Aysha purred. "Athena, why not wait until you are older? You'll be stronger then and climbing trees will be easy." In truth, the lioness was just worried for the safety of her one and only daughter. Athena seemed a bit adventurous, getting into anything and everything and wanting to explore every last bit of land. She only hoped that the cub wouldn't get hurt one day because of it.
Athena looked at her mom and nodded slightly. "Yes, mother," she said obediently. Though she was practically one of the boys and was such an adventurous cub, she had a softer, more obedient side. And it was her mother! Being the only female cub in her litter, she felt a certain connection with the black and white feline.
Rolling over onto her side, Athena then rested her head on Ger. "It's hot," she spoke randomly. What else was there to do?

Hayate wriggled his body and tried to adjust himself, sliding down so he could lay on Ger's back, he curled up somewhat into a ball shape. He wriggled his tail and smiled, "I bet I can get much bigger..." he closed his eyes. He hoped when he grew he wouldn't be small-ish compared to his siblings anymore, he wanted to be normal size!
He was glad that Ger said he could be what he wanted, and he would try. He would try to be the best son and brother ever. That would be his goal. Then everyone would be proud of him.
Hayate's breathing slowed down, as he started to take a cat nap on Ger back, he was comfortable, though he wasn't sure if Ger liked his place for a nap being upon the larger lion's back. Oh well, Ger was big enough to curl up on, and he was comfy.

Ger smiled back to Hayate, watching the little one take his place on his upper back, curled up and drifted on. Suppose that would mean that he could not move for some time. He was fine with that. Hayate seemed so small and set determined to prove something to everyone and himself. Ger smiled, he would help him along if he wanted.
The adolescent's head turned down to the leaning female. Athena was adorable some times unlike her other siblings, so obedient and smart too. She spoke randomly of it being hot out. Well, they were in a hot place, it was natural. Ger purred and nudged her a bit.
"Get some rest, Athena. When you wake up, the big white circle will be out and it will cool down a bit for you to play."
He spoke, nuzzling her a bit. Ger carefully rose up, mindful of Hayate, and moved himself around Athena, curling around her protectively. He may not be her father or mother, but he was gonna make sure that she was as safe as possible when he was around, he would do the same for any of the siblings, even with Aysha and Kujack. His attention then turned to the oldest of the seven present.
"Aysha, the cubs are quite the handful. You must be happy that they are safe with you and Dad."
