Morning came with the morning sun. Lately, Ger has been sleeping outside, away from Kujack and the pregnant lioness, Aysha. How a lioness got pregnant from a leopard was beyond him, he just accepted it. The lion cub yawned, stretched, and groomed. Morning routines didn't change much. Now what to do? His teal eyes danced along the ground. His dreams were the strangest as of late; most were with Kujack and Aysha, but the most memorable ones were of Ez and Trina, his old friends. He needed to stop thinking about them, he just...needed to escape it.
"Ez...Trina..." he mumbled, "Dad, Aysha..." he added. He loved them all, but could he decide? Ez and Trina were back at home, Kujack and Aysha were here with him. And when it came to times like these he would just go hunting. One, he would get his mind off of the four. Second, it would bring food for the three of them. Aysha was pregnant and she needs to eat.
The Pride Lander yawned again before heading off to find a giraffe or wildebeast to take down. He has down it before, this should be no different. Ger was growing more and more. Now he couldn't completely lace his paws together like Kujack does. He just hoped he didn't notice it.

*Jack was in a panic, Aysha was going to be having cubs and he just knew he was the father! Hell, he hoped so… he had grown to love the lioness and they time they spent together… so it was only right that he became a real man and took pride in something he did, right? Could Jack even be a father- He was so confused. His green eyes spun and darted from place to place as he padded back and forth, under a large tree.
He could feel every fiber in his body scream to him as he thought about fathering Aysha’s cubs. What would they even look like? Would she be happy about any of this? Did she love him? So many questions ran through his head as he panted softly, pawing back and forth like a mad man.
He had not forgotten about Ger, no- Ger would have to understand that he was going to have little bothers and sisters soon. Jack’s friendship with the young male was all he had right now… he needed to talk to Ger, that’s what he needed to do. With a soft sigh he slowly made his way to the young Pride lender.*

Ger stalked silent through the grass, eyeing a rather lonely wildebeast. This was good, no other ones to distract him. Ger's body was beginning to fill out from all his days of running and hunting. Soon he would have to hunt more when Aysha has her cubs. Though, with his recent insomniac nights, he has been getting tired more often than usual. His attention turned to the wildebeast, grazing not too far from him.
Step by step, inch by inch, he crept closer to it. There was nothing that could go wrong now, the prey beast was his. Quickly he launched from his hiding place and lunged at the creature's throat, claws gripping on and his maw on its neck. It would not be long until it died from the trauma and the blood loss. If not then Ger would have to resort to breaking it's neck which he did not wish to do.
Die already!

*As Jack moved along a sent of blood passed him and with a soft frown he stopped and looked around slowly. What was this…? Slowly he moved himself on, narrowing his eyes as he drew closer to what he had smelt. Ger was hunting… and there was blood all over. Jack, slightly disgusted looked away and sighed. He couldn’t stand seeing blood like this… and the look in the young lioness eyes made him cringe.
He let Ger finish what he was doing before moving a bit closer to him.*
“…What are you doing?”
*He asked blankly, a dumb question indeed.*

Ger let the beast fall to the ground and Ger rolled to the side, panting heavily with a smile on his face. He took down another wildabeast. Suddenly, a voice called out to him, his ears perked and his head turned. It was Kujack, what was he doing out here?
"Oh, Kujack, it's you." he started looking down at the dead wildebeast. "Just some hunting, we have to eat right? And Aysha can't hunt so I did." he finished, grooming his fur of the blood that got onto him. Hunting was dirty work, but someone would have to bring food home. And Ger was already hunting so might as well.
"What are you doing out here anyways, Dad? Shouldn't you be home with Aysha?"

“I came looking for you, kid.”
*Jack spoke out, though he still felt sick around so much blood he would suck it up, so that he could talk to Ger.*
“I needed someone to talk to. Aysha is going to have cubs!”
*He yelled, like Ger didn’t know.*
“I am just so worried… what will they look like, will I be a good father? Does she love me?”
*As he spoke his words ran one on top of another, so that Ger could hardly understand him.*
“I am just so lost right now; I came looking for my best bud.”
*Jack gave him a wind grin before placing a paw on top of his head. He messed up Ger’s tiny mane and laughed.*

Ger smirked and purred softly, sitting down, lacing his paw the best he could. Kujack had really changed since they first met at the watering hole. Kujack said it was because of him, but was it? He was only a cub then, but now he is growing up and he'll be just as tall, even taller than the leopard. Even know he was up to Kujack's chin.
"Of course she is, you mated her didn't you? Otherwise, she would not have gotten bigger around her mid-section." he chuckled. "If she didn't love you, Dad, then she would not have stayed with us, right?"
Ger smiled softly and looked up with teal eyes closed, "Well, you have been a good father to me, I am sure you will for your own cubs and I will be there to help the best I can."

*Jack was just tired, and very stressed… so he made little movements. With a deep sigh he slowly padded away from Ger and his dinner, so that he could think. He had gave Ger a nice lick on the forehead… someone he had never done out of affection before- this really was Jack changing. He sat himself down by a small stone and eyed the young lion. Even if Jack had not been Ger’s father by blood, he felt that the lion really was his son and he loved him just as much as he would love his soon to be cubs.*
“Everything is changing.”
*the male started, sighing deeply before resting his head upon his laced paws.*

Ger smiled and padded over to him, leaning against his side like he used to do when he was younger. Kujack was the only male he knew that care for him as such. Great-Uncle Mufasa did as well, but not like this. Kujack protected him and cared for him. Helping him out was the least he could do for the leopard. He just stared up at the sky again, watching as the clouds pass over them.
"Dad, things change, they always do. We just have to follow it."
Ger purred softly, resting his paws on his chest. It had been so long since the two spent some time like this. Ger could not do much for him but hunt for food and give advice now and again, he liked doing that, made him feel smart.
"I've changed."

“Maybe I don’t like change. Maybe I fear it.”
*Jack spoke truthfully. He didn’t know how to face the facts… he didn’t know how to deal with all of the emotions that he felt right now. Jack was very much the faddy cat… he didn’t know what to do. His green eyes softly narrowed as he looked away from Ger and sighed. What would he do? He had to be a good father to both his upcoming litter and the lion before him. Would things be the way they are… forever?*
“Ger, I need to relax… I just need to rest.”
*He started tiredly, looking away from the younger male. His ears pinned back as she rolled himself into a ball like shape. The spots upon his body moved back and forth as he held himself tightly within his resting place beside the lion. Jack needed this.*

Ger smiled and nodded. Change could be scarry sometimes, not knowing what will happen. How it would affect you. How will it affect everything you've grown to know and love and used to. Change is what makes everything continue on, change was unavoidable. Kujack will have to face it one time or another. Aysha was pregnant, her cubs were do soon, Kujack was gonna be a father and he was gonna have to get on with it. Those cubs will need their male role-model, those cubs will need their father. The leopard will have to overcome his fears if he expected to be a good father. Ger would just have to give him a push or helping paw.
Slowly, Ger laid beside Kujack, his head on his side, watching his Dad's spots move with each breath, shiver, and movement. Sort of hypnotizing. He carefully climbed onto his father and curled up just the same, his head near his.
"Change, this one is for the better. And I will be here to help you through it, okay?"

*Kujack really did respect Ger’s comforting words, he was very happy to have him around. Though Jack was completely out of it he felt sated beside his lion cub that he has grown to love. Jack wouldn’t tell Ger that though, not after all the hell Ger put him through. His lime green eyes softly opened and closed as he drifted in and out of focus, his thoughts blinding into dreams as he let himself rest.*
“Thanks… Ger.”
*He spoke faintly before yawning. He was so tired and he needed rest.*

Ger smiled and licked at the fur he was so used to fixing all the time. He was here to help his father, he was here to do what he could. Kujack took care of him, he knew some of the extent of Kujack's fathering abilities. Ger knows he can be a good father, the leopard needs to know it too. He was growing, he is reaching his adolescent stage, and soon Ger would eventually grow independent. But for now, he wanted to be here, with Kujack.
"Rest....Dad...."
he murmured, his teal eyes opening and closing. Carefully he nuzzled against the older feline and eventually fell alseep. As his body moved with his breaths along with Kujack's, his body, which was now becoming larger than his fathers, fell off onto the ground with a thud. Groggily, the lion got up climbed back ontop, curled up, and fell back to sleep.
Life was gonna be rocky for the two, but Ger knew he had a father to count on in times of need.
