The male yawned and rubbed his head against his forearms getting the wake from them. As of late he had been wandering about, oddly he has met so many other maned wolves since he met Tajwar and Sesere. Sikki, Saa, Kibu, Zing, Potevu, Beluwa, Siria, and just recently the pup named Legeti. For the first three years of his life he has not even seen one. Strange how they all suddenly come out after the first encounter.
Exiting the den, Usu started down the path from his den to the water hole for a quick drink and off on his walks. Where was Tajwar now? She was not beside him that morning...Ali'ka was off with that male, Yazid. Zaini was with her father, Sesere. There are teh two lost boys of theirs....and then there is Resee. Where was she? The last he saw her was when he ran into Ali'ka and Yazid. He made a note to seek her out after his drink.
Carefully lowering his body, Usu lapped at the water's surface sending ripples to the center of the water hole. He frequently visited this one, it was the one that was closest, and the one he had been to for all his life. It just felt natural as second nature to come here. Just was it was to take the same worn path he created years prior. Digress, now it was time to find his mate's daughter.

But...
They had been getting on her nerves. She didn't know why, though. They hadn't done anything wrong. Or at least she didn't think that they had... had they done anything wrong?
Shaking her head, she wandered closer and closer to where her mother was staying with her mate Usu. She was thinking, wondering, pondering, trying to figure out why on earth she was behaving so strangely and why she didn't like the company of others anymore. She seemed almost... bitter.
Sighing, she stopped for a moment and lifted her head, large ears swiveling forward. The wind shifted and the scent of Usu himself was brought to her. Strangely, though, she didn't seem at all excited or anything. She simply.. stood there. Blinking, she watched him walk. She felt almost like a stranger, watching him from afar like some quiet observer.
Settling down, she continued watching him, waiting for him to notice her. Or, if he didn't, she could always take another walk..

Usu's eyes watched the ground a bit, his ears up and his nose low. She had not been around lately, the ground does not carry her scent anymore. Why were they all seperated now? Zaini with her father somewhere, Ali was now with Zid, the boys were....somewhere, Tajwar was with him, and now Resee was wandering off. Was it because they've all hit adulthood? Usu made a promise to himself that he would bring them back together again, just for a moment would suffice. He just wanted to see Tajwar happy again...well, with her own family that is. It would be strange having them all together with him being the odd one out, but he wouldn't care.
His head picked up when the voice of another roamed his mind. It was about time that ability of his kicked in. He smiled and began walking up the path to the very female he was looking for. It had been sometime since he saw her. First when she was a cub, then again playing with her sister, then with Zli and Zid, and now. She has grown into a beautiful female.
"Hello, Resee. How are you faring?"
He asked, sitting down before her, wrapping his tail over his paws. All he could do was smile. He may not have had his own pups, but raising them and watching them grow was just as good as he has seen in two litters. The beginnings to the today results. All he could do was smile.

The female maned wolf looked off to the side, her eyes distant as she began thinking again. What she was thinking of, not even she really knew. Her thoughts were all jumbled and strangled together, making it hard to tell one apart from another. But she did catch the drift of them all, and they were telling her that she was not all okay. Something was wrong.
Flicking an ear, she looked back in the direction of the other. He was closer now, and was speaking out to her and asking her how she was. How should she answer that?
Staying silent for a moment, she merely watched him. He sat down, curled his tail around his paws. He was still smiling. "Fine," she murmured, looking straight ahead instead of over at him. It was obvious that she might not be all fine, that something could possibly have been bothering her. But she was female. Her ways were complicated and there was no way she was going to say outright that she was troubled.
Let him figure it out.
"Things alright with you and mom?" She figured they would be, but she was stuck for conversation. Something had to be said before the silence made it all awkward.

"Well, I guess we are fine. After all, we had just declared ourselves mates not too long ago. But we are doing well."
He said with a chuckle, rubbing the back of his head out of slight embarrassment. He wasn't used to calling Tajwar his mate just yet, he has always called her Taj or Tajwar, never mate. It was just something he would have to start using more often. He should talk with her again, mano y mano, it would be nice to talk to her again.
Usu's eyes looked up at her, her eyes were diverted and not really one him. It was either she had no manners or she was distracted. This was Tajwar's daughter, she had her manners, or he could assume, so she must've been distracted. He paused for a moment to see if anything would come to him, anything about her. His mind was clear, his body was still, his focus was percisely onto her. ...he was drawing a blank from her. Guess it was for the traditional way.
"Resee...is there something wrong?"
He asked, looking at her. She was a female after all, females don't usually just come out and talk about their emotions...rather no one really did. Perhaps Usu could get it out of her, but at the same time respecting her wishes.

Resee nodded, though she had really only been half-listening to what he had been saying, her thoughts were far too distracting. But he had said something about being fine and something else about mates. From what she had heard, though, she could get that they were doing alright on their own. Nothing too bad had happened, at least. Or so she figured.
"Good, that's good," she murmured quietly, acting as if she was paying attention to him and knew full well what they were talking about.
Yet she was pushed straight out of her thoughts and back into reality when he asked her if something was wrong. Her acting obviously wasn't convincing enough for him and he could tell that she was bothered. Damn.
"I said I'm fine," she snapped, perhaps with a little too much feeling. She was really bad at hiding her feelings. Sighing, she shook her head then rose to her paws and walked away a little. Stopping a few feet away from Usu, she lifted her head and looked up at the sky. It was all clear for the most part, and the sun beat down hard against her fur. But there were clouds in the distance. She wanted to find them.. they seemed far enough away.
"Fine," she repeated, mostly to herself.

Usu's eyes narrowed with concern when she got up after she snapped at him. Did he do something wrong? Was asking if she was alright wrong? She may not be his daughter, be she was still one of those he saw grow up. Besides, if he didn't do anything and let her go, what would Tajwar say? She would dislike him if he didn't do anything to help her daughter.
Usu got to his feet and moved to her, nuzzling to comfort her.
"Resee, if there is anything wrong, anything at all, just let me know. Remember, I can see things so lying won't do you much good."
He spoke, standing beside her. Usu followed her gaze from the sky to the clouds, was she heading there? It was rather far...why did she want to leave? Sure she could, she was an adult now, but why so far away? This might worry his female companion and it would worry him as well if something happened to Resee and he was not there to help her at all or do anything. His powers as a seer were still developing, but he a decent grip on it. He could locate her, that was simple task, he could see her past, present, and future but only if she was close by him.
He nuzzled her again.
"Resee, we worry about you."

Resee nearly flinched as the male came over and nuzzled her. Why she did that, she couldn't even begin to fathom. But for some reason she simply no longer liked being touched, no longer liked being comforted. It was probably due mostly to the fact that she was in total denial. How did she get like this? As a pup, she had been perfectly bubbly and happy, playing with her sister and having fun like any normal pup. But now.. what the hell happened to her?
"There's nothing wrong," she attempted to bluff, even though he had told her straight out that lying wouldn't work. "Or, well... I don't know.. what's wrong," she corrected herself, speaking more of the truth this time.
She looked at him for a moment, then looked quickly away. Her emotions were so conflicting. On one hand, there was something inside of her telling her that she should tell him that something was bothering her. But another side of her was being bitter and telling her that nothing was wrong and she had nothing to tell.
When he nuzzled her again, she jumped, though it was because she had been distracted with her thoughts again. Lowering her head, she sighed.
"There's no reason to worry. I'm fine." Another lie. Damn, why did she keep doing this?

Usu sighed and looked at where she was. There was obviously something wrong, Usu would just have to draw it out of her. He wouldn't like the idea, but he had to make sure that she was truely alright. If not, then he will do as much as he could to fix the problem...if there was one that he could fix.
"Resee....did you know there is only one sin in life? Every other is just variant of it. That sin, Resee, is theft. Stealing is the most unforgiveable sin there is. Stealing takes the right and everything from that being. Killing an innocent animal without good reason is stealing it's right to live, however we have good reason to. Lying steals the right to the truth. Do you understand, Resee?"
He asked, now looking to her, his eyes slightly lighter than it usually is. However, he had control this time and this time he was using it for another rather than himself like it had been for many times prior. Resee was one of the important ones of his life. Not only because she was Tajwar's flesh and blood, but because she was part of his family now, rather he was with her's.
"Resee...I want to help you, just tell me what is wrong."

Resee sat and merely listened to the other. She knew that he knew something was wrong with her, but she didn't want to admit it and she didn't want to talk about it. She felt it wouldn't do much good. Yet when he began lecturing her about sins and whatnot, she felt a slight sigh escape her lips. Maybe she should just tell him, that way he could leave her alone and just let her be.
She froze. That last thought made her realize the extent of her problem. She had never, ever before in her life wanted Usu to leave her alone. She had always enjoyed his company and loved him like a father. And now she was suddenly pushing him away?
"I understand," she murmured, though she wasn't quite paying attention to him anymore. She was still shocked that she had thought such a horrible thing.
Turning to look at him, she frowned and pressed her ears back against her skull. "Usu..." she began, wondering how to word it. "I've changed. I don't like... being with others anymore. Ali has.. that male, you have mom. I don't have anyone, and for some reason I like it that way. I want to just go off, be by myself. But.. that's not right, is it? It's bad, I shouldn't want to leave you and everyone. But I get irritated when I'm with others sometimes. I get mad and I just want to storm off..."

Usu looked down at his paws, that was quite the problem indeed. How would he go about on helping her with it? Could she find a significant other like Ali and he had, no she said that she liked being alone. Could she find a way to be with others and not become agitated? Was there a reason for her to be aggitated around others? Usu wished he had the ability to simply bring out his visions, but he did not. His powers were still developing as he was.
"The way I see it, you are a loner...someone who likes to be alone or unwelcomed somewhere. But you aren't here. You have a home to come to, with your sister or with your mother and I. Resee, if you truely want to be alone, then you could be, but I implore you to come by every so often so your mother and I know that you are safe. After all, I can't keep tabs on you all the time."
He chuckled as he spoke off the last sentence. It was true, he had others to keep his watch on, Tajwar (she made him worry often), Ali'ka and Yazid, Sesere and Zaini, and then there was that little lion cub a God asked to watch over. But he would make a great deal of effort to keep a watchful mind on Resee if she did choose to leave.
"Resee...I love you, I don't want to lose you. I am sure your mother feels the same....but if you must leave, please inform your mother. I think it would be best if she knew. However, I will do all I can to bribe you to stay here with us."

The female sighed. This didn't seem like a situation that she could solve any time soon. She knew what she wanted. She wanted to stay with her family and to be happy, but what she felt completely contradicted her wants. She felt good when she was alone.
Shaking her head, she looked at Usu. "But I don't feel like I have a home here anymore," she admitted sadly. "I feel... out of place." Particularly because her mother had a mate and it seemed that her sister did too, and who did she have? There wasn't anyone she could hang around with without feeling like she was barging in on anything or intruding. It was the reason why she had been taking such long walks. She was trying to get away from it all.
Then, when he went on to explain that he didn't want her to leave and that her mother probably didn't want her to either, she frowned. Now her decision was made even harder. She didn't want to leave either of them if it would make them sad. But how could she make them happy while also pleasing herself?
She sighed. "Usu.. I really don't know what to do."

"Resee, you have some choices. You can stay here with your mother and I or Ali and Yazid. You can find someone to spend time with, a nice friend would do wonders. Or....you can just be alone. THe choice is up to you, Resee. But always remember you have a family here, follow your heart."
He spoke, sitting down now. He didn't want to see Resee like this, it pained him to see her like this. He can't do anything for her, he may have known her since she was a pup and seen her grow, but he wasn't her father....where was Sesere? Where was Tajwar when their daughter needed them? Usu's ears fell back, he felt useless...
"Resee, please think about it. I love you, Ali loves you, your mother loves you, we don't want to see you hurt or alone. You deserve the best for yourself."
Usu felt as if he was pleading to her, in a way, he was. What he said was all true, he just wished a damned vision would come to him when he needed it most. If he had his vision he could determine what she would be doing in the future, with luck, and give her a straight answer. What was the point of being a seer if he could not help someone that he held close to him?
"Resee..."

The female listened closely to what Usu was saying. All that he said was true. She had a choice to make here. But she didn't want to have to choose. On one hand, she had a wonderful family where she was at the moment, others who cared about her and who would always love her. But on the other hand, she felt that there was something out there, something not here at home, that was waiting for her.
She sighed. Why did this have to be so difficult? Why couldn't there just be a straight, obvious answer to her problems?
Glancing up, Res looked into his eyes. She searched them, as if that would somehow help her to find the answer. And maybe it actually had worked, or maybe it hadn't, but she suddenly felt like she knew exactly what she wanted.
"Usu.." she began, wondering how to word her sudden discovery. "I want to have a puppy." There, she had said it. Now to wait for his reaction...

Usu flushed a bit. She wanted a what? A puppy? Did she say she wanted a puppy? But why was she staring at him when she said it? Did she....oh no. No! She cannot expect him to give her that. He had never...okay, that time did not technically count. But he'd never touch a female who he sees as a daughter and the daughter of his mate no less!
"A p-pup, Resee? You want to have a pup? Maybe one or two, there are chances that you could have more but a pup? Those would be a handful. The pain to carry them, the worry of their safety, the pain to bear them, and then the time to care for them all from one night of pleasure. Are you sure about that?"
Usu ducked his head to her, concerned about her choice. He had nothing against the decision, he would encourage her if it was truly what she wanted. She was gonna be the one to bear the cub after all.
"If you wanted a cub, there would have to be a male involved. Do you have any in mind that would do it for you and be with you? There is a lot to take into consideration, love."
He smiled to her, nuzzling her again.
"Well, know this, your mother, Ali, and I will be here to help you if you need our help and our thoughts."
