Jamaa laid sprawled under the shade of the hot savannah day. Lately, Temari has been on his mind. Oddly, they are mates so....why is it so powerful as when they first met?

"God....this sucks...." he mumbled as his eyes covered his eyes. The heat was overwhelming that the brown dog's sweat matted his fur. "mhhhhh..."

Padding silently across the plains, a tired figure seemed distraught. Miremba had a lot on her mind, and sadly had no idea just when she moved into the Pridelands. Tail drifting back and forth, she let her soft eyes just gaze ahead. Nothing would break her out of her thoughts just yet, though soon she would be forced to pay attention to the world around her.

Pausing to a stand still, her breathing soothed her ears as she took the steady pace. Something was still out there waiting, she just had yet to find it once more.

Being fed up with the sweltering heat and the shade growing warm. Jamaa slowly raised to his feet, fur matted in some places from sweat, headed down to the watering hole to wash up.

"Maybe Temari and I will have lots of pups and maybe we might get a son or maybe twins!" he said aloud, but to himself. He was estatic at the thought of it all. He was trying to get the thought of Temari herself out of his mind, but somehow she comes back and it made he shout out more. Maybe it's because she is his mate to be and just thinking iteself brings her up. Is this how love is suppose to be? he thought to himself as he continued along the path.

Making her way to a small watering hole, one that was hardly noticeable unless you landed in it, Miremba let her maw settle in the cool liquid. Her ears flattened lightly as she settled there, her form large and near the final peak of adulthood. It had been many months since she lost her family and her mate, but somehow it felt as if the wounds were healing over at last.

Pulling away, she paused before stepping into the water and mud to clean off her form. Ducking under, she pulled out and shook her form, making a wave of droplets that caught the warm light as she tried to cool off.

The sounds of splashing water echoed clearly in Jamaa's mind, the watering hole wasn't too far away. Jamaa walked slowly, these thoughts of a having his own pups was overwhelming joyous. Jamaa smiled as he walked down the dirt path.

Jamaa was approaching the watering whole, noticing a very brightly colored wild dog. Strange, after meeting Temari and Yakuti, wild dogs have been appearing more often.

"Hello there!" he called out, continuing to the watering hole and the stranger.

Her whole form stilling, Miremba caught the scent of another just before a voice echoed from behind her. Eyes widenening slowly, she moved to turn around and just blink at the darker wild dog who was infront of her.

"Oh..." She whispered softly, meek in her appearence, "...hello..." She was going to ask who he was, but decided instead to keep her maw shut and see what he needed.

Jamaa cocked a brow. This dog looked familiar, maybe he's seen her before wandering around the savannah during one of his protrols.

"Name's Jamaa. Who are you?" he asked and then smiled. "It's common courtsey to give one's name before asking for another, right?" he sat himself down by the water's edge taking a quick drink to replenish himself. "It's a hot day out again." he smiled innocently.

"Miremba..." She responded uneasily, reconization in her eyes as well. However, though he just had a sense of Dejavu, she remembered him clearly on accounts of only knowing a few wild dogs.

"Oh...yes..." She answered to both of his questions, a little lost at thought as she moved out of the waters slightly away from where he sat. Shaking her pelt a moment, she made sure nothing hit him before her ears flatened lightly.

"It is always hot." She murmered as she looked to the reflections of the waters.

Jamaa gave a hearty laugh.

"Of course it is, Miremba. It is the Pride Lands, it's awalys hot." he smiled. This one sort of reminded him of Temari, just a little. Their fur gave off a brilliant radiance and her eyes----NO, if Temari found out she'd kill him. Though Jamaa could not stop eyeing her wonderful colors.

"So....where are you from? The Pride Lands?" he asked. "Shouldn't you be with your pack?" he added, assuming she had one.

Feeling her form stiffen at his laughter, she glanced to him with wide eyes as he laughted at her. Telling herself to breath, she let out a soft chuckle herself, though it was shakey with her nerves. It was when he asked about her pack that she felt her throat tighten and her laughter die so suddenly.

"P-pack..." She whispered, before shaking her head. She had to be over it sooner or later, "...I had one...but it was attacked by Hyenas..." Suddenly her eyes widened, and she could breath again. That was the first time she told anyone of what happened, and suddenly a weight was lifted from her shoulders. What had happened?

Jamaa ears folded back at her reply. Maybe he pried too far into this one. Jamaa was raised by his father alone to carry on in his footsteps. He was to protrol all his life, mate, and carry on the lineage duty. He was taught to never show any emotions. To his father, emotions were a sign of weakness and he would not stand for it. However, Jamaa has long forgotten that rule and his emotions, as of late, have been everywhere.

"J...Jamaa is sorry. Jamaa should not have asked such a personal question to one such as yourself." he apologized. He dipped his head.

"Forgive me."

Turning back to look at him, she just shook her head and brushed off his apoligy.

"You couldn't have known." She murmered, before standing and prepairing to go. It had already been too long of a time spent with another, something she was not used to. If she staied much longer, she feared something might slip and emotions might force her back into the depression she worked so hard to pass.

"Well, Jamaa is in a pack not too far from here. Dhati leads it and there are lots of littluns around too. You're welcomed to come." Jamaa offered. If she was alone, maybe she was willing to join with him and his pack. Jamaa contemplated what her answer maybe. What if his offer opened old wounds? What if she says she would and Dhati refused?

"Well, it's an offer that is always available if you ever need it." Jamaa turned around and started the other direction. If she wanted to be with others then she could follow. If not then she could pretend he never asked.

She chose not to answer, but merely send him a fleeting smile as he walked away. Bowing her head in thanks, she turned to rush off. Though he spoke of a pack, she still remembered hers from the past, the one she wished to return to later on. Maybe one day both their packs could become allies, and she would see Jamaa once more. Until then, she would continue her search.
