What will I do now? Sukari thought to herself irritably as she picked her way through the lands. A look of dismay was spread across her face. Her mother was dead, and she hadn't delivered the final blow. The one who ruined her happiness, and her chances at a normal life...
Sukari ran from her mother oh so long ago. To escape her selfishness and abandonment. Sukari had lived alone ever since she was a cub. Alone, in the roguelands. To teach herself how to be; and Sukari wasn't a very good teacher. To deserve to exist, one needs strength. In Sukari's mind, anyone who didn't possess that, wasn't worth feeding.
She sat herself in the grass and moodily sighed. She had to ponder where to go now.

Trigger left Mwana's side for just a moment for a quick hunt to get food for himself and her. She has gone through quite enough as it was though it was more his fault for taking her away from from her sister. It was not in his nature to help others that he just happens to come across, but the way they treated her....even he could do better.
He stalked through the tall grass, his massive figure, natural in the Firekin lineage, stalking what seemed to be a small herd of antelope. His paws alternated slowly and carefully, his paws being placed down, picked up, placed down again as if testing the nose would startle the prey. His pale green eyes fell onto a strong male, maybe the leader. He had a tendency to aim for the strongest, a challenge, and then have the group fall without it's strongest. They had strength in numbers and possible the others, but he was sure he could do it with the surprise advantage.

A number of scents drifted across the lands. There was a herd of some prey animal upwind... And another scent. A male. All of the males Sukari had met in her life had been weak, or too stupid to be a threat. She scowled and rose, to see if she might be able to steal food from whatever big lug was trying to hunt. She rose and slunk to the crest of a hill, looking down on the herd and the hunter. She watched silently from the peak.

Trigger had left out of the tall grass, startling the herd. Everything was all in a panic, females this way, males that way, infants were lost in the chaos. Snarls and cries, kicks and scratches, blood and dirt. With a mighty roar, it seemed as if time had stopped.
The heard had fled away leaving nothing but prints and dust. When it all settled, there the male was, three injured prey on their side struggling to breath. Trigger panted and sat there, waiting for them to die before taking them back. He need not deliver the final blow to the three. At least this would fill Mwana and himself up. He brought her out here, it should be him to hunt for her from time to time.
Now it was time to wait.

Now was Sukari's chance... She loped easily down the bowl, not exactly putting on a face, but just holding back her moody default expression. As she got closer, she noticed a problem. This was no ordinary male. This male was huge.
Firekin, Sukari thought to herself angrily. She had heard of firekin, and had met a female, but never a male. They shared her temper, for the most part, except their's was a gift from birth, rather than hatred developed through childhood. Not only that, but they were strong, excessively so.
Sukari wouldn't just be able to barge in, even if the beast was stupid. Enraging it could cost a pretty penny, and a touch of well-being. Sukari approached to a respectful distance, showing she wasn't going to just take one, (even though she wanted to, and that was her purpose.)
"I'm Sukari," She told the male tersely, waiting to judge his temper.

Trigger showed no sign of achknowledgement of her. He just stayed where he was and watched the three. His nose flared to catch the scent, it was hard to tell through the strong smell of blood and urine. Strange....it was a female, or at least he thought so. Her voice was a clear sign though.
"Why are you here. If you came for food you missed the herd."
He spoke, staring down at one of the fallen prey's breath slowly start to fall to a halt and soon it was gone. With that, he turned his attention down to the next. His focus was on the food, not her.
"Name's Moto'Vianzio, Trigger if you want. Be wise and don't cross me. I've gone through quite enough as it has been through the last few days."
He said, watching the this one to die. Slowly, it would.

Sukari's typical scowl remained on her face, and she decided that submission was the only option, as much as she hated it. She could sense intelligence in his voice, and the combination of his strength and his intelligence made him something to be wary of, especially since she was a smaller creature.
To his question, she responded, "I don't know, why are you here? I'm truly here because I have nowhere else to go. No other purpose. Your hunting sparked my interest, and I decided to come check it out," Sukari said smoothly, passing off her statement with disinterest, despite the fact she was extremely interested in why he was here.

"Hunting for a female that I happened to pick up. Don't get any ideas either, I'm not interested in cubs so her purpose is not something like that."
He replied to her, thinking ahead that she might assume him as a kidnapper to rape her for some cubs or pleasure. He was not like that. Sure he could be a brute, strong, fast, smart (to an extent), and well...big. He was a Firekin, but he also carried Pride lander blood. Trig, the oldest half-brother and the only one he knew was Pride Lander and whatever else his father was. Actually, he was taller than Trigger himself. Maybe his father carried Firekin in him too, who knew.
When the last antelope had finally died of blood lose or shock, he got up again, brushed past the female and looked down at the last one. It seemed to stare back up at him, resenting him. It had reason too. He frowned, scowled and whacked it hard. Now all three were dead. The hunt was over now.
"It seems like no one has a place to go now a days," he said. Mwana was with her sisters under roguish living conditions. They kept saying they deserved better as if they were some high ranking members of some pride. If they were, why were they out here? Without their pride, their ranks mean nothing and yet they carry it still. Trigger would have to talk to Mwana about that later. "I'm just looking for a place to call home myself and I guess I am taking that female with me too."
He reached down and plucked the antelope onto his back, slowly moving to the next, propped that one up there too. Looking down to the last and final body, he looked back to the other female. "Crap, I am too weak to carry this one. Guess I'll leave it here...besides, I best be getting back before she wakes up. If our paths cross again, I hope we are on better living conditions." He turned away and started off back to teh tree he had left Mwana under.
In truth, he was able to carry up to give antelope, six if you count by mouth.

Sukari let a look of disbeleif replace her scowl. Of course he can carry that one too, Sukari thought. How couldn't he? She asked, amazed that he would think her that naive. It was like a slap to the face with a claw-filled paw. Oh well, she was the one with the prize.
She hovered over it for a while, saying nothing until the male was out of sight. As soon as he vanished, she ate ravenously, covering her face in it's blood. It was one of the best meals she had eaten in a while.
