Finally, free from the leaves, the vines, the weed, and all those folages that always got in his way. The marked leopard stepped out of the jungle for the first time in his life. He was no longer bound by anything to this place, nothing kept him theree anymore. He was finally free. With a wry smirk, the male turned out to the savanna. It was new sight, something he had never seen before. He had heard of it once from a strange lost little cheetah from months ago. He was told that it was wide and opened so that one could run as far as he wanted too without hindrance. With the way the cheetah sprinted out of to do, he was intrigued by the idea of the savanna. Now, now he was here. Digging in his paws, he lunged forward and bounded into the savanna.
It was almost a moment-no, a little less when the jungle cat had halted and fell back onto acacia. He was a jungle cat, made for climbing trees and falling down on his prey for an easy catch. He had not ran much at all in his life, rather he g or getting up a tree. He needed to learn how to run or at least build up his stanima. With a sigh, he rested his head back.
"Free....finally."
His light blue gaze raised up to the tree he was laying under watching the sun's rays fall through the leaves. It was a beautiful sight. Being him, beautiful things often get destroyed. With a smirk, he went to work.
Another momentpassed and he was walking from the tree, the limbs broken and the leaves missing in many places. Upon the bark was the scratches of his claws. Vandal some call him, but hey, he got enjoyment out of it. And... he was free to do as he wish now.

 Muichimotsu. Hold Nothing.
Even now, Freya could remember the words, but not whom had spoken them to her. She'd been so young when she'd severed all dependance on all things on her life and ran out into the free grasses that even now bore the title of 'home'. That was the only dependance in her life she had to anything, and even that was to no fault of her own.
But then again, it wasn't her fault as well that there was a bit of a flirting gene in her body either. So while she could say she had a dependance on men, she had no dependence to a man. Men had a way of wanting to settle, or wanting her to ruin her almost-perfect body with the idea of kids. Every time the thought even entered her mind, she felt like she gained 5 pounds which she had to run off.
Freya had never truly seen a 'jungle' before, to say the least, and the sight of so many trees in one place had drawn her curiosity from her wanderings to come and investigate, her golden nose sniffing at the flora that was sprinkled about, smiling a bit. They smelled nice in comparison to the 'death' of the savanna, she'd decided.
But, as with all things, Freya didn't linger, turning from the borders of the thing that had kept her curiosity for a time to go back into the death of the grasslands.
That's when she saw the male, his stark blue contrast sticking out against the dry grass's brown. Indeed, she'd never seen such a being in her life, so it left her to stare at him, almost as if her mind was confirming that she -was- seeing such a color.

The leopard looked from side to side, seeking out a good tree to make his temporary home in. He hunted in them, he slept in them, he ate in them, a tree is a basic base for any leopard. At least one that was jungle born and raised. He looked up ahead when he noticed something as he approached it. Something with spots? There were only two things that had spots taht he could remember correctly with the slight familiar frame as this one he saw. A leopard and a cheetah. Thinking about it, there was a fifty percent chance that it was a leopard like himself and a fifty percent chance that it was a cheetah, the awe speeding felines of the savanna. Hey! That's almost half! Taking a chance, he pressed forward.
"Hello there!"
He called out as he trotted up to the other feline. It was a cheetah! And a female at that. That was interesting, what was a female cheetah doing way out here? That was strange. Either way, it was interesting. He smiled and slowly sat down nearby, giving her space. It was a good idea to give some room for a stranger otherwise he'd be meeting the underside of a paw rather another face. And man, he could not tell you how many times that had happen. However, lesson learned.
"Name's Ba'kru, and what is yours, miss?"
His bright blue eyes could not help but look her over in a glance. Her fur was a dark brownish color but upon it were the golden hues like that of the sun and the savannah. And her eyes.... were even brighter.
"Wow..."

Had she not been staring right at Ba'kru as he spoke, her fur would've bristled in surprise from the sudden greeting that was called out to her. But she had been, so that didn't happen. Instead, she seemed to investigate the build of the other being, as if trying to assess what he was exactly.
'No spots, but no tail fluff either. His tail is closer to what mine is.. but he's got more muscle to his frame than our kind do... curious......' It never passed through her mind that there was another species out there of the feline-sort aside from her own and those of the lions. But she was so fully able to tell that he wasn't either of them. Well, unless he was a cheetah who didn't run the savanna as she did.
But if that had been the case, where were his spots?
She scuffled her paws about in the grass, drawing patterns with them as she quickly took measures to act shy, though internally she was more than smiling and wanting to return the greeting.
However, that would give him measure to stay all the ways away from her, so she'd have to use her mad-skeelz to draw him closer.
"Hi." she replied, her voise barely more than a whisper, and internally, she would've been surprised if he'd been able to hear it. So until she was sure he could hear her, she'd hold off on her name.

Suddenly, his ears and brow perked with a bit of a "eh?" sound as he tried to listen to her.... word? It was a word right or did she speak it so fast that it was inaudible? He got up and moved a bit closer. Did she say it fast as it was her nature that it became high? Or was it that it was low and quiet because she was....shy? he chuckled and looked at her with a smile.
"Hey, you alright there, pretty?"
He gave a sweet smile, something he did only to females mostly to charm. But here it was to draw this female from her shell. At least he thought it was. She seemed really shy, so he'd only want to show her that he meant no harm and that he was good. Well, as far as good could be called with a vandal such as he was. He dipped his head a bit to look up at her.
"Someone as beautiful as you shouldn't be shy. You should speak up for everyone to hear your sweet voice. I would like to hear it."
A charmer with the girls and a jerk to the guys, typical huh? The bright blue and the dark streaks that lined his body covered teh dark blue that made him stick out just about-no, stick out everywhere he went, he could not hide from anyone with such looks as his. But this female seemed like she could hide just about anywhere she wanted to. He chuckled and sat back up again. He had no idea he was being playd for, but frankly, he was more stuck on her looks than anything.

She casted a glance upward, though barely, to see if her ploy had worked, before looking back down to her shifting paw, using it to 'distract' herself from him until he chuckled, causing Freya to look up at him again. She hadn't lifted her head enough to be looking at him face-to-face, but it instead gave the 'looking through the eyelashes' effect to add to the shy-act. The cheetah smiled a bit at what he said, before looking back at her paws.
"Yeah.. but my name is Freya, not 'pretty'. " she corrected, as well as introduced herself, blushing a bit and looking from his smile. However, he seemed to have moved to look up at her, causing a sort of shocked look to form on her face, before blushing again at the compliment he gave her. Or, rather, the compliments she received.
Dear lord, her mother had taught her too well. If she ever saw her mother again, she'd tell her that.
"You're over exaggerating my appearence.. but thank you... "
She giggled a bit, before again looking back up at him as he resumed his normal posture.

He chuckled and smile at her, a soft purr to comfort her and draw her out more. She had the shy act down that was for sure. The shuffling paws, the eyelash-glance, and the quiet voice? It was all adorable! Shy girls were always cute in their own way. He had experienced one once, but that ended up bad because out of her shell.... she was a hell raiser. The memory made him shake his head for a moment and his attention returned to Freya as her name was. It seemed she thought the 'pretty' comment was his replacement for her name. But it wasn't.
He nosed her head to get her to look up at him. She was very shy it seemed. He reached up slightly and reached toward her shoulder, hesitated, and followed through placing his paw on her shoulder. He shook her slightly and smiled.
"Come on, Freya, someone as beautiful as you should not have to be shy for any reason. Being shy just says that you are not very confident in yourself or that you are afraid how others would see you as. Well, you know that I think you are beautiful so you should have to worry about me, right? Come on, give a smile."
He tried to urge her to act normally around him assuming that she was not normally shy like this. She was cute neverthelss. It was sort of amusing to be around her as was and it was interesting how this female seemed to be so quiet when clearly she was as beautiful as the savanna when he first gazed upon it. All he could do was let his words and paws comfort her.

"Eep!" she squeaked at the sudden contact, her head turning up to look at him with wide eyes, almost as if every nerve in her body had gone into shock at the unexpected contact. Whether it was an instinctive part of her ploy or otherwise, she was unsure, but she'd play it as such for now, and blushed, looking back down at her paws.
Dear lord.. how to respond to that? Freya questioned in her mind, her 'inner self' scrambling around for the right way to react to his words without totally giving herself away for the VERY good actress she was. Freya wasn't quite ready to drop the act at this point in time, so she'd continue to play along with his words.
"Really?" Her voice showed signs of disbelief, but she smiled a bit for him anyways, simply because he'd asked for it -and- called her beautiful in the same sentance, or at least within a breath of each other.
But then again, that was Freya. She would've smiled even without the shy-act at the compliments, so that was part of being an attractive female and KNOWING it peeking out.
"Besides... I just can't help but act the way I am. " she added in her own defense of the shy act, even though she was dying to resume having her normal voice at that very moment. However, Freya would let him have the satisfaction of drawing her out of the 'shell', as he was trying to do at that point in time.

He chuckled loudly this time and nuzzled her, licking her cheek as he pulled his muzzle away. He got to his feet and stretched out before sitting back down again. He smiled at her and nodded. That was the smile, the smile he wanted to see. It was cute, and sweet. He smiled as he gave her her reward for that smile. It seemed genuine and so the reward was just the same.
"Thank you, Freya. I like it when you smile. It makes you look.... cute. Freya, you look gorgeous, if I didn't want to be straight forward or a jerk, I'd say I'd liked to be with you. However, it'd be too early to say something like that. And the last time I said that I was rejected. Live and learn."
Ba'kru purred up at her as he laid down on his belly slowly, his tail curling around his side. His stripped fur rippled over the muscled on his body as he made himself comfortable. Feeling it strange to look up at her the way he was made his neck feel strange. So, he turned onto his back and laced his paws over his chest as he looked up at her.
"Maybe I can't change the way you act, but it would be nice to know that you are okay with me being around. I can't tell if you want me here or want me gone. So to be safe, I am gonn take the high road and assume you want me gone."
He gave a quick smile before getting up onto his feet. He started off back to the savanna. A step and then a pause for her to voice her opinion.

There was another squeak at the sign of affection she received, and another blush. She sure was blushing alot, it seemed. Again, the smile he gave received her own smile in return, this was less of the 'shy' smile, and more of the 'I'm wiiiinnniiiiing' sort of a smile.
Internally, she was laughing at how victorious she'd been with all the compliments she'd received from the male in this go-around of her just having to smile a bit, look up from her paws, and have him work to earn her attention.
Freya's expression went to a bit of shock when Ba'kru made his admission that he would've liked to be with her, sending that gut-feeling to her stomach. Guys and wanting to settle! YEESH. She wouldn't comment on that, though.
"I appreciate your honesty, but that sort of things truly doesn't interest me right now. " She admitted sheepishly, laying down in the grass to lean against his side a bit.
But it seemed as though he was up and going again, saying that she was sending quite a few mixed messages about his company and he was just going to play it safe. This caused the female to frown a bit. Go figure.
"Leaving? And here I was enjoying your company~" she complained, laying her head on her paws in an almost depressed sort of way, tail thumping against the ground.

His ear perked and a wry grin.
"Out of your shell are you? Well, I thought I would not be able to get you out of there."
Ba'kru looked back and headed back towards her. She was a beauty to behold, but to him, beautiful things get defaced one way or the other. However, he was fighting that habit. He did not want to deface her beauty. He did not want to violate it. He did not want to destroy it. This sort of beauty.... was meant to behold and cherish. He was a vandal, but he had a heart. The marked leopard purred and laid himself down carefully beside her and nuzzled her. As long as he could, he would cherish her beauty and her as long as she would allow. He nuzzled her once more and smiled.
"I'm not thinking about settling down or a family for that matter. I am still new to the savanna, I still need a home, a stable place where I could live. I can't just go around settling down just about anywhere. I was to find a place where I can settle down not just for me but for a possible family. That is.... if the female that happens to fall for me ever deems it necessary," he chuckled. "And here I am talking about such a private thing with a stranger I just met, and a female no less! I know settling down is the last thing on your agenda, and it is with me as well, but I just want to be with you not.... uh.... with you. You know?"
The point he was trying to get across that he wanted a place where he can settle down with his mate, a place where she would be happy and where he would too. A place where they could raise children if they ever had any, and if not then hell, more space for them. But what he wanted right now was to be with her, but not as mates but as close relationships could go without such comitments. Ba'kru purred quietly, listening for her reply.

Sure I am. She seemed to laugh a bit, which negated the entire shy act she'd been playing earlier. So now, it was up to him to decide if he thought she'd bee playing him, or if he was 'out of her shell' as he'd suggested. Freya wouldn't be the one to tell.
She purred a bit at the motion of affection, though she was sure most females would have lept to their paws and ran for their lives AWAY from him for being so open with such things (not that she hadn't once or twice in her life.. ).
Freya's expression's went through the following expressions; interest, confusion, and then understanding... then back to confusion for a moment. Somehow, what he'd just said had totally contradicted what it -seemed- like he'd said earlier, just based on context. How confusing.
"I guess if you like wandering through the hot sun and the grass all day the savanna is an 'OK' place to live. I wouldn't call it a stable home, however." Freya commented, partially from her own wisdom. She'd lived through too many wild-fires for her to think the savanna as a 'safe' home in any shape or form.
While internally she agreed the topic was a bit personal for her tastes, she wouldn't say anything to the extent of telling him this, even though he'd been the one to bring it up as it was.
"But I guess what you're asking is for me to let you tag-along with me, correct?"

Ba'kru chuckled.
"Then where do you think it would be a stable place to live? The savanna seems like a nice place to live. There are water holes here and acacias from all around to live in, at least for me anyways. Where could be better?"
The leopard chuckled and sighed. He had a strange feeling. From the extreme shy to the sudden openness? Even those he saw as shy and he tried to pry them from their shells would not be so openly with him so quickly. It felt like his heart hurt and then mend itself before getting hit again. Strange. He looked at her for a moment and gave a slight confused mew. Was she..... no, she could not have. She was beautiful and she could have anything she wanted if she wanted it.... maybe someone better, but then why did she stop him from leaving? She would act shy to get his attention would she? Nah... well, amybe? It was best not to press on it. He was content with how close he was able to get to her with. After all, it was not every day that a female lets a male like get close enough to her like he was now, t nuzzle her, to lick her, to purr for her. He'll wait for if she deemed it right to tell him before things got out of hand. ..... Right?
"I guess you could say that. I would like to come with you if you don't mind a slow leopard slowing you down from running like you cheetahs do. But I would not mind spending more time with you. You could show me around this place and who knows maybe find me a home away from home. What do you say?"

Oh, she could just FEEL the gears in his head turning in confusion of her sudden surgery-less lobotomy, at least in the ways of an attitude adjustment. She crossed her paws, looking at her golden toes with a great deal of interest as he seemed to sort what she'd said (or even what she hadn't said) in the most innocent of ways.
"There is no one place that is 'stable' to live in. You'll find a place, settle, then miss what you had. That's why I remain here on the savanna, though never in one place." she explained, grooming out some dirt from the white pads of her paws, to content herself that they were their beautiful white shade again, before rolling her paw back over to show onto the back of it.
Freya mulled over his suggestion that he would be 'slow' compared to her, and shrugged her shoulders lightly. "The only time I run is the only time in which you wouldn't want to keep up with me, and that's when I'm catching my dinner." she said, correction him of his presumption that speed was a necessary thing for her.
"If I ran all the time, I'd be out of energy when it came to things I have to do, see?" she explained, then rose to her feet, seeming to grimace at the grass that stuck itself to her belly, lifting a paw to brush it away. It wasn't that she was vain (though she was.. ), she just would've rather not had grass sticking to her belly.
"So I see no problem in taking you as my companion."

"Well, maybe a place that we could come together to sleep and leave in the morning to do as we wished. But I can see why one would wander about."
Ba'kru smiled at her and raised to his feet, shaking out his body sending bits of grass off his body and back onto the ground. That's better. He didn't mind the things that stuck to his fur. Being a jungle cat, he was used to having leaves stuck in his fur and the things that came with it. But he was started to get better at keeping himself clean. The leopard looked over at her and smirked.
"Thanks. Who knows, I might find a female to stay with. And who knows, it might get serious."
That last comment made him laugh out as he started off down the ways. His tail flicked and his head turned back.
"You coming, Freya? Or are you gonna take it nice and slow and flaunt off your beautiful body of yours?"
