Swampieestar
Tuzwa paced about on the edge of the Pridelands. She had never ventured farther than that though she knew her daughter was somewhere close. Tail twitching she took a slow tenative step from the graveyard. It seemed different as she walked. It had high grasses and whatnot. She kept light on her feet incase she needed to dash away from a disgruntled pride. She kept herself as low as possible as she comtinued. The purple lioness softly whispered to herself as a comfort. She hoped that she didn't anger anyone by entering but she needed to find her.

((Yeah. He would be 600k ^^))

Kiouji
(( LoL. Indeed we did. xd Oh, so Tuzwa was also 600k? ))

A light rustling of the grass behind him made the green-eyed lion turn his head to see who was responsible for the noise. Kazi scanned the terrain carefully and only barely managed to spot a slight hint of a purple pelt among the grass. It was, more than likely, the body of another lion or lioness from the pride, but he could've been wrong. He grunted lightly and sat up, his paw not yet taking his paw off of the tail of the brown lioness cub. "Who's there?" he asked in a low growl. His tail and ears twitched about, eager to see who was hiding in the grass.

Swampieestar
((Tuzwa was a gift ^^ but I think she would have been 600k))
Tuzwa stop in her tracks, still as a bored. Her breathing was hoarse and she knew that it wuld probably give her away. With her purple pelt she knew that she had probably been spotted already so she stepped forward. Stepping closer to the voice she raised herself and continued. When she finally saw what had said voice she crouched down again in his view as she whispered.

"Tuzwa...I'm just looking for my child. Please don't tell anyone..." She hoped that he wouldn't but she couldn't be quite sure yet.

Kiouji
(( I see. She's beautiful by the way. ^__^ ))

Kazi cocked a brow and nodded at her request of silence. He hadn't anyone to tell anyhow, so it wouldn't be hard to keep that sort of promise. "Child? I haven't seen any around here aside from these 2. He looked down at the 2 cubs and chuckled a bit to himself. "I don't quite know who they belong to. Are either of them yours?" he asked. He averted his gaze from Shiri and Jini and back to Tuzwa. "Oh, and I'm Kazi by the way." His ears twitched around still, and his tail swayed with the soft breeze that seemed to pick up a little while ago.

Swampieestar
((Thanks Kio ^^))

Tuzwa sighed when she looked at the two cubs. "Sadly no. I don't know how long it's been thoughI haven't seen any of my children for so long. Tears began to well in her eyes but she blinked them back. "It's nice to meet you Kazi." She loked again to the two cubs. "Would you like to talk somewhere else so we don't wake them." She slowly began to back up as if not wanting to give him a choice and make him come with her. Soon her purple tail fluff slipped back into the tall grasses.

Kiouji
(( No prob. ^__^ ))

Kazi looked down at the cubs and left them for the time being, hoping that they'd still be there when he returned. And yes, he still planned on coming back. He had yet to learn their names, and they were an interesting pair after all. He followed after Tuzwas slowly, his limp making it obvious that he still had yet to recover from his injuries. "Tuzwa..." he called once he lost sight of her. "Slow down a little bit..." His voice was a little hoarse and lacking in energy, and he slowed to a complete stop.

Swampieestar
Tuzwa continued through the grass. She didn't want anyone to find her that intended her harm. When she turned to speak she realized that Kazi was not there. Had he tricked her and gone to tell when her back was turned? Tuzwa stalked slowly until she found him once again. Noticing his limp right away she frowned. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were...hurt." She didn't like to see others in pain but it was as if she could do anything about his pain considering that he was a stranger to her.

"Were those your cubs Kazi?" Her voice was a bit louder but still scarce. "They're adorable." She smiled happily to him.

((Kick a** Blue XD))

Kiouji
The grown lion chuckled and shook his head at her comment on the cubs. He sighed and stood back up, walking past her and flicking his tail about behind him in a somewhat playful manner. The heat could've gone to his head...this was extremely out of character for him. Kazi limped forward, deciding that he ought to start some light conversation. His usual quiet nature was getting him nowhere. That was evident in his first encounter with someone from the pride lands. "Those weren't my cubs. I'm a rogue actually, but the pride lands are my former home. I was planning on returning, and, in fact, I was in search of the king or queen." He stopped walking to ease the throbbing in his leg. "May I ask...when did you lose your cubs?"

Swampieestar
Tuzwa smiled and slowly followed him. She began to relax around him. He's got a limp. It's not like he can chase me for very long. He logic was strange but probably truee. The lioness looked absent mindedly to him and saw how magnificent he was. It was frighteningly quite as they walked until he spoke. "Oh. Well it's nice that you found them." She flashed her teeth in a smile. "I have never been here before but I believe the King and Queen are somewhere around a big jutting rock. Well...it's not really a rock. It's more of a thin mountain." She chuckled lightly and stopped when he did. His question brought pain back to her heart. " My daughter has gone wandering and hasn't return home. My second daughter was..taken and I fear..." she stopped to collect herself, "...and I fear my son was taken aswell."

She tried to shake those ideas from her head by talking. "What happened to you to give you such a limp?"

Kiouji
Kazi glanced her way and took not of her uniquely colored pelt. It wasn't everyday that he encounters one with such a pelt. The young lion frowned a little when he noticed the pained look in her face, and his tail drops in response to it. "I'm sorry...I probably shouldn't have asked." He twitched his ears a little bit and thought back to the fight that earned him the limp. "I was attacked by a hungry hyena. I sent him running, but he gave me this limp in the process," he spat. It was quite obvious that he disliked the fact that he got such an injury from simply being careless. "Anyway, so you're not from around here?"

(( Bye Vash. =] ))

Swampieestar
Tuzwa composed herself and looked to him. "No. it's alright. The more people who know then that's more people to be on the look out for them." She would have smiled had she not been thinking sbout them. She listened to his story intently and cringed at the thought. "Oh my. I'm glad you came out of that fight." The lioness sighed when she thought about the graveyard. "Hyenas are always a problem where my cubs would have been." Not wanting to think about it she continued answering his questions. "I'm from nowhere around here. I come from far south. I just came up when I lost my mother and father." She finally weakly smiled. "So you were born here?"

Kiouji
Kazi tilted his head in curiousity and nodded at her question. "Born, not raised. I left when I was still a cub, no older than the brown one you saw back there," he responded. The look in his eyes reflected a solemn look when he thought back to the day of his family's death, and he shook his head to rid himself of the haunting images. "I'm sorry to hear about your parents," he said softly, thinking of his own mother and how a simple, strong snap of the neck ended her life. "Have you decided to stay here? Or will you be moving on to look for your cubs?"

(( I keep typing "subs" instead of "cubs"... xd ))

Swampieestar
((If they were subs then they wouldn't last long around me xd ))

Tuzwa looked around the grasses. This was probably a wonderful place to live and grow but she would probably never experience it. "Oh. Wow. I'm suprised that you've returned. Most males don't come back home after they've left." She thought about Duhushi and how he seemed to vanish without a trace. Even his scent was gone. Her mind finally travelled to her parents and how they died but she easily brushed those thoughts away. "It's alright. I barely remember them as it is. It's probably for the best anyway." Green eyes slowly followed the markings on his back as she continued.

"I'll continue looking for my cubs until I find them. No matter how long it takes."

Kiouji
Kazi frowned slightly, a bit saddened by her response, and nodded. "It's only natural that you search. They're your cubs after all." He lay down on the ground and let out a lazy yawn. His eyes were focused on hers, and a small smile graced his young face. "Markings that originated from my father's side of my family. It's the only thing I have to connect me to my family's history. My parents didn't speak much of their history." He sat up again and brought a paw to his face to scratch his nose. "So...you're from the south? Any particular pride?" he asked. His eyes connected with hers again and he smiled. "Mm.."

Swampieestar
Tuzwa looked to the ground as he spoke. His words rang in her mind before warming her heart. "They are mine. I'd do anything for them but I'm not sure that when I find then that they'll want to come back." She smiled and looked back to him. "I wouldn't mind. Just a glimpse wold be enough for me." It was after a few words into his voice that she realized her starring. "I'm sorry but those are beautigul markings. Atleast you've gotten something from your line of value." She had never really told others about her origin but decided to in this case. "I'm not sure. I believe so but we may have left when I was very small." In fact she didn't know. "Wasn't there a horrible plague here sometime ago?" She hated to be so blunt but he probably would know.

((This is an awesome rp whee ))

Kiouji
(( Hehe, yay. ^__^ I agree. x] ))

Kazi shrugged and lowered his head to the ground, observing an odd-colored grasshopper. "It wasn't in my time, but my father did speak of such a time. He said it killed off most of the lions around here, the prince included. Simba, I believe, was his name." The ash-colored lion yawned and rolled onto his back, taking a glimpse at the sky and smiling peacefully. He did this constantly when in the shelter of the night. "Heh...that one reminds me of my sister when she was still alive..." he muttered amusedly to himself.

Swampieestar
((I've never really rp'd Tuzwa in depth before ^^ *Goes to start logging it*))

Tuzwa followed his eyes but starred at the ground instead. "Simba...I remember my mother talking about a Simba." She tried to recall what she had said about him but to no avail. The purple lioness yawned aswell and laid beside him. "Your sister? Hmmm...I've never really found shapes in the stars. Then again I've been travelling for so long that I've just been using them for navigation." Her tail flicked lightly. "Wow...I'm really bad at this." She chuckled lightly as she desperately searched for something.

Kiouji
(( ^__^ I need to make that journal I thought about earlier. <<';;; xd ))

Kazi stifled a laugh and turned his head to look at her. "Yeah, Simba. That was all that my dad really mentioned about that time. He always said it was a 'dark' time for all of the prides. I wouldn't know." The lion simply shrugged it off and turned his attention back to the sky. "I've always taken time to take a look at the stars, and sometimes clouds too. They always remind me of my family." His eyes were wandering the limitless stars above him and he tail flicked about excitedly. "Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I manage to catch a falling one, and my mother once told me that if you see one of those, you can make a wish." His voice was full of childish excitement, and he quickly caught himself before he continued talking. "Anyway..." he cleared his throat, "It doesn't take talent to find them. It takes imagination." He turned his head to the lioness and smiled.

Swampieestar
((They're quite handy little things especially when you need to round stuff up for breeding XD))

Tuzwa sighed. She hadn't been alive during that time either but it seem as if it had been hard. "Dark huh? Mother always use to say glorious things about the Pridelands but I never came here until now. Sometimes I wonder if she was from here in her youth." Her eyes still lay on the sky as spoke. "The sky has always been beautiful to me but I've only looked at it during the sun and moon set. I've never looked to the stars so freely." She looked to him when he metion wishes. "I wuld need a lot more than one wish to get what I truely wanted in my life."" Never would she tell about the other reason. She looked up once again and finally saw something forming in the stars. "That sort of looks like Giraffe." She pointed with her paw to emphasize the outline. "See?"

Kiouji
(( I'll probably make it tonight or tomorrow afternoon. ^^'; And yeah, they do seem handy. x] ))

Kazi turned his eyes to where she was pointing and nodded with a smile. "Heh, yeah it does." Green eyes scanned the sky in search of his father's face, hoping that it'd be there that night. It had been at least 5 moons since he last saw a glimpse of anyone of his family, and he missed them terribly. "Oh," he said, his voice rather excited. "You see that one?" he asked, leaning his head so his face was right beside his. His paw was lifted and pointing at one portion of clumped stars. "If you look hard enough, you'll see my father's face among those stars." His voice was calm, and very...well, serene, and it sounded very reminiscent. His mind flooded again with memories of his younger years with his family. "He was as valiant as they came..." he went on.

Swampieestar
((Mine was so rushed that I keep having to go back and fix stuff XP))

Tuzwa was quite proud of herself for finding it. It was a start to what she hoped would be many nights of star gazing. Her eyes followed the different clusters until she found the one he was pointing. "That's your father?" Somehow she felt empowered to looked at the face of ones past. "He was very handsome then." She giggled. It was such an odd observation but true. "He seemed like he was a wonderful being to be around." Her mind flashed to the white lion that she remembered. "My father isn't in the stars. Mother told me. She said that he's always somewhere near me, walking and guiding me from harm."

Kiouji
(( I'm good! ^__^ You? ))

He laughed and nodded, thinking of the time his father had attempted to teach him how to hunt. "He was so much fun to be around," Kazi said quietly. "He's not in the stars? Meaning what? That he's still alive? Or..." Kazi left the statement open-ended so that she could finish the sentence for him if she wanted. His green eyes moved along the constellations again, this time in search of his mother, but to no avail. The frown on his face reflected his disappointment. "So, do you mind if I ask who your cubs' father is?" He approached the subject as carefully as he could, but some things were just hard to sugarcoat.

Swampieestar
Tuzwa laughed at his comment. "No. His spirit is still around not his earthly form." She probably should have clarified that but to her it was a given since she had watched him die. Her paws stretched as she stars seemed easier to spot. The bright ones were said to be the kings but surely none of them were hers to remember. "I'm sorry about your parents. I'm sure that they loved you and still do." A smile pulled at her maw. "The father of my cubs is..." She stopped herself from saying his name and hurting herself more. "...it really doesn't matter who the father is...He'll never love me anyway." She had always dreamed of finding someone to be with but she supposed that all dreams didn't come true.

Kiouji
Kazi smiled and nodded, turning his head when she hadn't finished her sentence concerning her cubs' father. "Uhh...sorry. I didn't mean to upset you..." he said, sounding rather solemn now. His tail swayed gently as he continued his stargazing, smiling as he spotted several peculiar looking formations among the stars. "So, how long will you be staying here?" He didn't want to sound pressing, but he was curious after all. His green eyes gazed back into the face of his new friend, a gentle smile adorning his features. He lifted a paw and scratched his nose again, though this time his paw brushed past his scars and he grimaced. "Mm..."

Swampieestar
Tuzwa looked to him in concern. "No. It's alrigh. I knew this before and it's just something that I have to deal with." Her purple tassle swished as she looked up to the sky. "I'm not sure how long I'll stay here. The graveyard is so dull while this place is somewhere I could gather my thoughts and maybe even be happy." Green eyes looked to him. She found it funny that they both had different colors of green for eyes. "I guess I could stay for awhile so I can decide to which way to go next unless the Queen and King don't want me here."

Kiouji
(( -dances about- xd ))

Kazi nodded and rolling back onto his stomach, sitting up and shaking his mane to rid himself of the things that got caught in his white mane. "I'm sure they won't mind. When I was a cub I remember Mufasa and Sarabi to be rather pleasant to be around, but it's best you ask them first." He crouched down beside her and tilted his head curiously in her direction, noting that her eyes were a different shade of green, bringing about yet another smile from the full grown male. "Well, my leg's feeling a little better," he said, thinking that he ought to brigten up the mood a bit. Just an odd feeling of his more than likely. "You should find a place to sleep for the night."

Swampieestar
((*Flails XD*))

Tuzwa nodded. "I should probably talk to them. I wouldn't be staying for long but I just don't want to be caught up in anything." She shook herself off and laid back down again. She seemed less tired than she had before and much more relaxed. "I'm glad to here that your leg is better." HTe loiness had felt bad for making him follow her. "Sleep? I can't really go back to where I started an in all actuallity, I'm not that tired." She chuckled.

Kiouji

(( Hi everyone! ^__^ ))

He laughed and nodded, rolling back onto his back and gazing up into the heavens yet again. "Alright then," was all he said before turning over again, this time gettin some dust into the air. A light chuckle escaped from him as he patted the dirt with his paw, just for fun. Kazi had gotten a bit bored of stargazing, and he felt like playing a game or something. "Yeah, it feels much better actually. Another day or so and it should be fine." The dust in the air made him sneeze, and after that he broke out into a bit of an outburst of laughter. "I feel like having a little bit of fun..." he said as he kept his eyes on a beetle on the ground.

Swampieestar

Tuzwa chuckled at him. "Well. I guess I'm staying here then." She looked to him and smiled. The dust rose around her ad she tried to hold back a sneeze. "That's great. It should clear up soon but you'll have those scars for some time but don't worry, they bring character." She poked his nose gently with her paw. She smirked and stood, her tail swaying behind her. "What are you thinking to do for fun Kazi?" Tuzwa's eyes glistened with happiness for the first time in awhile.

Kiouji

(( For a second I thought you called him Kiouji. xd Darned K names. rofl ))

Kazi chuckled and walked slowly after her, only limping slightly this time. Seemed the rest that he'd gotten from stargazing had done him a lot of good. "I don't actually know. I can't exactly run around because of this bad leg. Do you have any ideas?" He took a seat now and let his tail sway slowly behind him. Seemed the lion was a bit anxious for some playtime, but aggravated that an injury is keeping him from having any. He got an idea, and ducked low in the grass when she wasn't looking, and he crept carefully toward her right side, wondering if she saw him. His body was very close to the ground, and he waited for her to start looking for him.

(( Seems like the part where Simba tackles Zazu. rofl ))
PostPosted: Mon May 22, 2006 12:06 am

Swampieestar
(( I probably have at some point XD))

Tuzwa tried to walk slow enough so that she didn't feel bad. He seemed to be walking alright though. "I hope you aren't aggrivating it by walking it but I'm not sure what we couls do." She turned slowly and found that he was gone. her insticnts told her that he was somewhere but again she would be a victim. Not that she would care but she decided to play along with his game. "On no. Where ever could Kazi have gone?" She chuckled softly.

((Tuz is too sharp XD))

Kiouji
(( Indeed she is!! xd ))

Kazi smiled and dropped his head before training his eyes on her figure again. He crawled quietly toward her, making sure that he didn't run into any loose twigs or anything that would make a noise. He crept around her so that he was positioned behind where she was, his tail swishing behind him only slightly. He got a little closer, and when he was close enough, he pounced. "Boo!" he laughed as soon as he pounced.

Swampieestar
((This is really long...I love it whee ))

Tuzwa was actually startled when he pounced on her. She laughed loudly as she batted at him. It was the first time she had actually played or had fun with anyone since her cubhood. "Hey. I thought you were beside me. No fair." She couldn't stop laughing as her tail flicked in happiness. "Painful leg huh?" She chuckled and swatted playfully at him with her paw.

Kiouji
(( xd whee ^___^ ))

He laughed as well and dodged her paw as best he could, though she still made contact somewhat. "It does hurt...I just ignore it. It's no fun if I acted solely on my injury. A lion needs to have a little fun every now and then right?" He laughed again as he got off of her, his tail moving and brushing against her legs as he passed her, his limp still visible but much better than it had been originally. He turned back and smiled as he sat down a bit of a distance from where she was. "I was beside you...but I figure you'd expect that. So!! I moved a little." Kazi held an innocent look on his face as he approached her again, wondering all the while where he'd spend the night. He didn't get a chance to talk to either Mufasa or Sarabi, so he'd have to stay nearby the outskirts of the lands that night.

Swampieestar

((Do you want me to start moving this to the guild XD))

Tuzwa chuckled at his logic. "Atleast you've rested it while we were stargazing." She straightened her herself out and came to rest on her haunches. Her green eyes scanned him slowly as she stood. "I can see that Kazi. Fooling a lady like that..." Tuzwa smirked as he walked towards her. She was going to wait for his move before she tried anything of her own. She had no idea where she was going to sleep but she knew that it would be somewhere close.

Kiouji
(( That may be a good idea. xd ))

Kazi tilted his head and stopped when he was right in front of her. A charming smile was on his face and he tapped her nose with his paw. "Well, I was just thinking outside of the box," he laughed. He moved again, showing his restlessness, and stood beside her, nudging her forward using his muzzle. "C'mon, we both need to find a place to sleep, and the sooner the better. I'll help you find a place first, and then I'll find one of my own." He only assumed that she'd mind sharing a resting place with him.

Tuzwa craned her neck at his tap. "I guess you were Kazi." She laughed with him and yawned softly. The lioness chuckled as he nudged her. "I guess if you can't find anywhere nice enough then you can stay with me. I mean...just for tonight." He was quite a dear friend already and she didn't want to wonder about him all night. "It'll help me sleep better..." She tried to put the sweetest smile on her face without baring her razor sharp fangs.
PostPosted: Mon May 22, 2006 3:36 pm

Kazi gave a small smile and padded along toward the further edges of the pride lands beside her, his thoughts wandering here and there, but to nothing of much importance. "Hey, so uh..." He laughed nervously, making it obvious that he was out of ideas for light conversation. "Oh, do you have any brothers or sisters?" he asked after another moment of silence. He seemed a bit uncomfortable whenever it was quiet and she was around. "Just a little curious, that's all."

Tuzwa looked to him and smiled. "I'm sorry. That was a little rude of me." She closed her mouth and decided to stay silent until he spoke. "I was the only cub of my litter. I don't think my father was much of a charmer so i don't think I have any to worry about." Green eyes gazed happily ahead. "It's better that way. I don't think I could have survived my parents death if I had another mouth to feed." She weakly smiled and yawned. "I'm sorry if this brings back bad memories but...what happened to your family Kazi?" He had always said that they were gone but she didn't know when or even how.
PostPosted: Mon May 22, 2006 3:56 pm

(( -flails about- Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! blaugh XD ))

Kazi sighed deeply and lowered his head as he walked, wondering how he was to answer her question. It's not as though he'd forgotten what happened to them...it was just hard to tell the story. When he lifted his head again another sigh escaped his pursed lips, and he looked over to her with a saddened expression on his face. "Well..." he started.

"I was only a cub at the time. We were out on a walk while my father taught us how the circle of life worked, and he tried explaining the concepts to us. My mom was there helping him in his futile attempts." He let out a soft chuckle at the memory of his father's constant lulls and frustrated sighs. "And we went dangerously close to that graveyard place over there. We weren't attacked by the hyenas from that band that lives there, but a bunch of rogues managed to ambush us. I was busy off to the side chasing a grasshopper, and when I turned back they surrounded my family."

Another sigh. "My sister was the first to go, and the last I saw of her was when the hyena took a bite at her and carried her dead body off somewhere for lunch." His words were full of anger and hatred, but he forced himself to continue. "My mother was next...a hyena managed to snap her neck. She protected herself pretty well until that point. I didn't see my father die. He scolded at me and told me to run, so I did. I ran back into the pride lands."

By now Kazi had stopped walking, and he sat with his head lowered and his tail moving rather slowly behind him. "After that...well, I left to avenge their deaths. That's how I got these scars..." He pointed at the scars along his eye and across his muzzle before he started walking again. "And now I'm back home where I ought to be." He fell very silent after that, thinking back to when he was still a rogue and in search for his family's killers.

((HEYLO XD))

Tuzwa listened to his story in horror. It pained her to know that he had such a hurtfull past. As he finished she nudged against him, her head buried into his mane as tears streamed down her fur. "I'm so sorry." She tried to compose herself to speak. "My father was killed as well. He betrayed his pride in a coup too kill his father so they turned on him. It wasn't fair." Her voice tritled off as she nuzzled further into his mane. "No of this should have happened." Everything began coming back to her. Her parents, her lost love and her cubs as she cried.

(( I hadn't realized how long this RP actually was. xd I counted and, if I counted correctly, there's 36 posts from the thread right?? rofl ))

Kazi frowned and stopped walking, resting his head gently on hers and letting out a soft sigh. "I've done pretty okay though, so other than being alone I'm just glad I'm alive." He let out another sigh and used a paw to push her head back from his mane, and he nudged her nose with his. "No, it shouldn't have happened. But the best thing we can do for our parents now is survive. And so far, both of us have done that, don't you think?" His eyes were full of reassurance when they met with hers, and his lips curled into a faint smile. "I'm sure you'll be fine."

((Yep. That's like 3 pages right there XD We need to rp often. It's the first time that I've actually gotten somewhere ^^))

Tuzwa slowly wiped her tears away with a paw. She wasn't used to crying especially around others. "I'm sorry for crying. I just do this sometimes now." She smiled weakly and nudged her nose aganst his. "My father would never approve of my crying over him but it's hard sometimes to go on. Everything that I live for is beginning to crumble." She gazed into his eyes and smiled with him. "I hope I will be too...You have pretty eyes." She giggled softly.
