(( Wheeee.... xd ))

Kazi was smiling all the while as they walked, his tail wagging contentedly behind him. He nudged her gently and let out a small laugh. "I'll race you," the ash-pelted lion challenged as he ran ahead so he could get a head start. He turned back and stuck his tongue out at the lioness before re-focusing his attention on running. With one more sharp exhale he put a determined look on his face and made a break for Pride Rock, each stride bigger than the last, the image of Pride Rock getting larger and larger as he ran closer toward it.

Tuzwa stopped every once or twice to rethink her decision. He seemed so happy now. Would he always be like this if she stayed here? Her tail went high behind her as she ran after him. . A soft sigh left her maw as the sun became hotter on her back. Tuzwa knew she would never catch him but running was a loving change. When he turned to her her features brightened. "I'm coming...Kazi"

(( ^__^ ))

Kazi came to a stop at the foot of the large slab of stone. His eyes gazes at it with awe and a smile was on his lips as he made his way to the upper platform. The lion turned and caught sight of Tuzwa as she ran toward pride rock as well, and he smirked triumphantly before turning his attention to searching for either the king or queen. He squinted his eyes and peered around. "Sarabi?" he called as he stepped forward to an indistinct figure ahead of him.

A lioness all in cream, lay at the lip of Priderock. While her quick, piercing red eyes scanned the world below her paws with a quiet, motherly intelligence at odds with her frail body. All bones under sleek pelt, she seemed more ready to blow away on the wind then to swat mishevious grandchildren into line. Truly, she kept the swatting to a minimum, since they always left her tired, but she was finding more energy lately with the arrival of her grandchildren. They were the joy of her elder years, as was seeing the fine adults her second litter had grown into. As she squinted to see what an antelope was doing down at the waterhole, an unfamiliar voice called out her name. Her old heart picked up pace, seeming to race in her chest before she could supress it. What was with her these days? She seemed to be seeing the rogue brothers in every rock shadow. But they were long gone now... Lifting her noble head, she turned and slowly drew herself up onto her haunches. It was too much effort to rise fully, when the sun made her feel so languid on the warm rock, but she wasn't so far gone that she couldn't sit up. "Yes? Who's there?" She called out, her eyes searching for the source of the voice.

((If it's not alright for me to play just lemme know and I'll delete my posty, kay kay. biggrin ))
-Just within the shade of the den, the king lay napping, soaking in the coolness of the rocks and shade as his old muscles tried to recover from his trip. He'd been back a few days yes, but as of yet he'd spent much of that time being lazy and lounging near his love.
Stirring at the soft sound of voices Mufasa's eyelids lifted very slowly. When Sarabi had walked outside he didn't know, he must have been sleeping a little more heavily then he thought, and he lifted himself wearily, a gigantic yawn touching his maw.
Padding out into the sunlight he made his way over to the golden figure of his mate, brushing his cheek delicately along her shoulder in greeting, before he settled beside her. Silently he gave her a softly quizical look, wondering who it was that she'd be yelling back to.-

(( I'm an idiot. rofl ))

Kazi stepped out into view, his eyes falling on the 2 lions that lay before him. His footsteps were silent as he walked slowly toward them, the expression on his face portraying that of surprise and bewilderment. It seemed as if he was staring intently at them to be sure that they were real and not just an illusion. After another moment or so, he was about 3 feet away from them and he opened his mouth to speak....though nothing came out, so instead, he cleared his throat. Uhh..." he finally started. "May we have a word with you and Mufasa?"

Tuzwa was stunned at the sight of the king and queen. Her heart raced with an unsure feeling as she stepped ahead of Kazi. "It is an honor to meet you both." Her head lowered in a sort of bow before she spoke again. "I've been told of your wisdom since my own cubhood Sarabi." She smiled at the frail queen. Her tail went limp as she watched them both. Her proper attitude was always sprung when she spoke to someone she looked up to.

Bright red eyes studied the pair with open curiosity. One a dark gray male, one a white and purple female. More rogues, it seemed. She smiled gently at them, hoping to ease their nervousness. "Welcome, strangers." She said softly. It seems that for once she would have the solid prescence of her mate by her side, and it made her more happy than she had realized it would. She'd missed him more than she'd thought. "It seems you already know our names, might we ask for yours?" Her curled her tail around her paws, the beads of her necklace clicking softly.

-The softest rumblings of a purr touched his form, something that might not have been heard, but certainly wouldn't been felt by the palely beautiful beast at his side. It brought him both joy and pride as the gentle compliments filtered upon his mate, and also as she took charge. She'd always been so capable and strong.
Silent, since she had taken the initiative to greet the two he simply bowed his head in soft greeting, taking in the brillant hues that would more than likely soon enough be dotting the pleasant green of their kingdom.-

Kazi blinked several times, wondering what he could possibly say to the queen. Words seemed to fail him at the moment, so he bowed his head low as a sort of pardon for the time being, and he stayed that way for a while. A moment passed...and he stood tall once more, his white mane being blown gently into the wind. A feeling of confidence arose in him, as though his father had given him a nudge of encouragement, and he smiled at the two before him. "My name is Kazi. Perhaps...you remember a young cub from a tragedy many moons ago?" His ears were perked up and his tail swayed slightly, staying near the ground. The male smiled a small, somewhat timid smile as he awaited their reply.

Tuzwa smiled and bowed again. "I'm Tuzwa and this is, as he said, Kazi." She didn't quite know what to say after all of the stories and tales about them that had lulled her to sleep. Her head was buzzing with questions but she couldn't get them from her head. Words became jumbled until they seem to reform between her fangs.
"Would it be possible if we could...uh..." Her words once again caught in her throat and her sentence was cut.

Sarabi flicked her eyes to her mate with a knowing smile, chuckling softly. "Kazi and Tuzwa... why else do rogues like yourself come to the Pridelands? You two wish to join the pride you've heard so much about, am I correct?" Her tail flicked as she sat, the wooden beads in her necklack clicking softly. Her bright eyes were kind in her cream face, her look one of someone with a core of quiet strength and dignity despite the fragility of her body.

-His mind drifted to the past trying to pick out some tragedy of the past that this young one could belong to. The plague of course, was the first his mind went to.. but they'd all been through that.. lost through that, so it must have been something different.
Watching his grey pelt curiously he mulled through his memory of the past trying to pick out where he'd know the young man from.-

Kazi's eyes drifted from the queen and over to the king, and then back. He pondered the possibility of them remembering what he'd gone through and began to have his doubts. It was a long...long time ago, so it's more than likely that they would've forgotten. Aside from that, he had never formally told them that he would be leaving, he simply left. "This pride..." he began, then hesitated. "This pride was once my own..." he said quietly. "I simply wish to return..." He averted his eyes from the two lions before him and stared at the ground between his feet.
