Sneaking away from her family, the black cheetah wanted a way to stretch her legs without her father's watchful eye or Siltim's constant presence. Her dark eyes were alive with mischief at all the fun she could have on her own, this being one of the many times where she is alone without any supervision.
Her tail flicked experimentally as she lithely traveled away from her family's den near the Pridelands, she wanted some fun and adventure and so, this day seemed the perfect day for that kind of adventure. She couldn't help but smile at the anticipation.

Tree after tree after tree, none of these pathetic acacias were suitable homes for him. Balboas were scarce but they were suitable, however he wanted to find the one. A place to call home where he can easily relax and where the sun hardly touches down onto it through the leaves. A place where he could raise a family when he found the right female. A place.... to escape.
Ba'kru had escaped Freya's company for just a bit to sneak up upon a passing tree. Perhaps it was the one? It was an acacia so the chance was low. He climbed up quickly into the branches and moved around a bit. Twigs and leaves poking at him. Darn, no good, no good at all. With a sigh, he rested there for a moment and yawned. Now he was regretting leaving the jungle.... but he wanted to find a mate but he has already been denied too many times by those leopardesses. Cheetahs, they have spots. Long legs? More to show off, and those tear marks just makes him want to hug them and comfort them. They were better.

Unaware of the upcoming leopard, Alula couldn't help but giggle slightly as a small breeze ruffled her fur. It was such a pleasant feeling and it made her glad to have snuck away from her family. After some traveling and with a clear mind, a strange scent started to lingle towards the black cheetah. Curious as to who possessed this new scent, dark eyes flicked here and there completely oblivious to the fact that the scent could be coming from the the trees.
Where are you? She cooed silently in her mind. A step here and a step there without any luck of the source. It took her not to long to realize that the scent had gotten a bit stronger but seemed to be a bit higher then herself. Her dark gaze moved up until it hit some trees. Ah! The scent was coming from the trees! She couldn't help but give a lopsided smile her as her tail flicked. Being mindful that someone was around, she wanted to surprise this newcomer...perhaps she should try to climb a tree.

Ba’kru just lay up in the tree with an agitated expression, blankly staring out into the savanna. A new scent wafted up to his nose that just made it flare as it was inhaled. Female. Cheetah. hell, he was in an open area, there were always new scents. Hell, he could smell a bird, then again he was up in a tree. With a muffled growl, he stretched out a bit when a sharp twig pricked his skin making him yelp, falling out of the tree.
“BLOODY TREE!”
He cried out when he landed down upon the dirt laid ground. The leopard growled, shaking out his fur of twigs and leaves, flicking his tail irritably. His eyes gazed up into the tree and growled again. Not worth being a home… twigs are stupid.
It was then that his eyes fell upon the female cheetah that he had sensed earlier. …. No spots…. But what a wonderful color and design. He could feel himself fluster a bit. Best keep some control.

Realizing that she had lost her advantage, ears perked forward at the yell before a dark figure landed not to far from her. Alula took a few cautious steps towards him before tilting her head slightly in concern. That didn't look like it was supposed to happen. Though, she was curious nevertheless, this leopard had colors almost similar to hers! Her masked face looked at the leopard, "Are you alright?"

The male feline flicked some reluctant pieces of wood and leaves out of his fur, trying to not make too much eye contact with this female. Cheetahs.... they had those long legs and it made them look so... gaity and graceful. Weird. With a sigh he looked over at her from the corner of his eye.
"I'm alright. Cats always land on their feet, right?"
He chuckled sheepishly.
"So what brings you around here, miss...."
