"Score, another ditch."
Dumu smirked to himself as his mother took her eyes off him once again to help another animal with directions. If it were for idiots who got lost around here, he would have been bored all day wandering around with his mother. At least he got away...again.
Some mother...Dad does a better job at watching Al than she does me and he lets him walk while he flies.
He spoke, rolling his eyes. Now without his mother, he could wander a bit before she sough him out again. Hopefully, giving him enough time to meet someone new and interesting rather than some other idiot who is lost and needs directions.
Carefully, and happily, he walked along the dirt path to the the largest den of all of the Pride Lands, Pride Rock, where the king and queen where. But there have been wierd stories going around. Like the King has a new queen, the queen is pregnant once more, or that a dangerous God or two have been seen in these peaceful pride. Heh, what stupid rumors, at least make them the slightest believeable. A dangerous God? Here in the Pride Lands? The peaceful lands that he was born in. Good luck getting anyone to believe that speel. How do these animals come up with these things? Have they seen them? Have they spoken with them? Have they even hear them? Dumu for one believed no word. If there was in fact another God in these lands other than his father, he would have to see it with his own eyes. Doubted anyone knew what a God was.
"Rubbish, that is all it is."

Belial was jumping around the rocks surrounding the main den to keep himself occupied, having made a rather enjoyable game out of it in the last few moments. He'd judge the jump, hop up, hop along the top then bounce back down to the ground, it was a trivial actions but with the red prince, such strange actions made every bit of sense in the world inside his head.
Besides, he'd taken up most of his morning stalking and eventually killing a wounded bird he'd come across, and was trying to excercise off how full he felt. He hadn't seen his father or mother today and made a note to seek them out later, a rather futile thing to do for him considering he could hardly remember anything right.
Still, he was happy for a change, happy but always angry at something, a strange conflict of emotions but one he'd learned to deal with.
A glimpse of colour nearby caught his already sparse attention mid-air and he mis-judged a jump, landing rather heavily on the ground on his paws. He tried not to flinch at the pain that lanced though his paws at this, instead turning to face the apparent distraction, drawing himself up to his full not-so-impressive height.
"Show yourself!"

Dumu quirked a brow as he moved over to the rocks that surrounded the Pride Rock den. There was a small lion cub, a red one. He was jumping up and back down, up and back down, what was it doing? Curious, Dumu moved closer until it fell, probably missing the rock or something and landed. Then his name was called, so he came forth.
"Quite the spill you made just now. You alright there?"
The dark male asked, looking over to him. He kept his distance, he didn't want to be in reaching distance of the male. Would be a rather bad idea for one of his....abilities. It felt rude to dive into another's being, past, present, or future without their permission. So now, he made it a habit to stay a fair distance from other's, other than his family.
"So...do you live around here?"
He asked with a slight smirkish smile. Another thing, he was raised to be nice and polite to strangers, but he never took that to heart to his family, dunno why. His violet eyes looked around, there was no one else around, so....maybe he was a rogue like he? Heh, manners.
"Name's Yadumugandama, nice to meet you."
The demi-god spoke, bowing his head slowly.

Belial snorted dismissively at the comment of his fall, he knew the other cub was only showing friendly concern but the idea of anyone feeling sorry for his weaknessess made him angry. "Yes. Fall all the time. Care not, no one does." he was trying his best to make sense, though lining words up into working order took a lot of effort for him. Stepping a little closer, he eyed the other lion critically, a haughty smirk playing on his lips. For some reason, when he looked at Dumu, the whispers in his head got slightly louder, almost within hearing, though the words were still too fuzzy to pick out from the static.
He shook himself out of his little mental daydream with a nod and looked around him, as though seeing Pride Rock for the first time. "Yes. Prince. Pridelands are my home, lots of food, lots of lazy." he smirked "Only really heard stories about other places."
Manners were generally lost to Belial but he did know how to answer questions and did so without much hesitation. "I am Belial." then just out of curiositym stated "Where?" He wished to know from where this Yadumugandama came from.

As Belial got closer to him, the further he moved away, equal steps to the red cubs, a male. He may looked like he was being rude, but to him, he wasn't trying to be. His abilities were still underdeveloped and he only knew a few ways of his powers, hopefully there were no more. Dumu's ears dropped back as he continued to create the space, rather keep it, between the two of them.
"P-please, stay where you are, Belial, you shouldn't get too close to me..."
He spoke, finally feeling satisfied where he was from the other lion cub.
"Prince of the pride lands? So you are the next in line if something were to happen to the king? I thought there were others from there line, maybe I was wrong....Well, from what I know there is only the Elephant Graveyard....uh...'rumors' from other animals."
He said, emphasizing the word rumor. It was more of a touched vision.
"Well, I'm from here, I guess. Born and raised by my parents. And you?"
Dumu replied, smiling again. However, that changed when he looked down at his paws. Perhaps it was okay to ask, what harm could it do.
"Belial, I was wondering. Would you dislike the idea of another knowing about your past, or present, or future? Maybe even your thoughts or secrets?"

Belial frowned as the other lion moved further away the nearer he moved. However, he didn't push it, merely parked himself down exactly where he stood, curling his swishing tail around at his paws. He didn't ask why he wasn't to come nearer, simply decided to comply for now. He didn't smile until Dumu spoke of the pridelands succession, something that he knew deep down he'd never be a part of.
"No. One prince. Of many. Many lions are older. Many wiser." he smirked as though despite this, there was a secret joke behind it all. He doubted any of the lions who would rule the lands would carry within them the most proud blood of a god coupled with the most honourable pridelands royalty.
His blood was the only thing about himself he was proud of so he clung to it like a penniless aristocrat might.
"Elephant Graveyard?" he parroted, raising a brow. Just the name sounded interesting and he made mental note to visit it someday. "Places. Yes."
"Belial was born here and raised here. Home."
He didn't look too puzzled by Dumu's last question, in his head most things made an odd sort of sense. "Belial wouldn't care, there is little to see. No secrets, only noise. Lots of noise." He couldn't even remember when he first heard the voices and assumed they had always been there, feeding him lies about his worthlessness, of lions coming to harm his home and of the contagious anger he sometimes felt lurking the lands.

Dumu quirked a brow, many princes? Geez, how many were there? Did the King have many queens or just one? Well, made a mental note to figure that out some other time. Dumu laughed as he bowed down 'gracefully'.
"So I am in the presence of a Price of the Pride Lands. It is my honor, Prince Belial."
He laughed playfully. Slowly he closed the space between the two of them, now that he was allowed to get closer to this cub, at least doesn't have to feel so alienated, though that was self-done. The demi-god sat down a few feet from the other cub.
"So you were born and raised here too, just like me. My mum and dad with my brother too."
He smiled, telling his new stranger who his family was wouldn't be necessary, all he needed to know was he had one. The sun shined down on his forehead making his forehead marking flicker as if it were blinking. Curious about this cub he offered out his paw to him, paw facing up, a face of curiousity.
"Belial, would you mind if I learn...uh...a little more about you?"

Belial nodded "Yes, though Belial doesn't like it much, it's too too noisy, not nice. Too much happy." he frowned, eyeing Dumu. He was actually quite pleased to have someone to talk to, someone to pay him attention for a change and so could care less if the other lion learned more about him, he was unaware of the methods however.
"Learn what want. Belial have nothing to hide." He figured no one could hear the voices that roared and hissed, told him to do terrible things and mocked him constantly, he didn't think anyone else would ever be able to look in on his mind, shattered and fractured like glass, ruined beyond repair and destined only to get worse. He dreamt of a blue lion, one he'd never met, and his father, of things past and things that could but might never come.
He thought of blood always.

Dumu smiled and laid his paw onto the red cub's shoulder. Everything became silent, no noise, no wind brushes against the grass, the sounds of one breathing, the heartbeat in his chest, nothing. He closed his eyes and focused his mind, strangely nothing was coming to him. Whenever he touched another it would simply come to him the instant contact was established but...with Belial it was much different. He could not feel anything. His browing narrowed in confusion and concern, has he losing his powers?
"Belial, maybe you are hiding something from m-"
The dark red cub cut off when his head was hit with a tremendous pain. Touch and sudden pain? Those two causes never occured together. The pain would give him a quick glimpse of a vision, touching allows full uncontrolled access into the other's mind. Past, present, future, memories, and dreams.
God... Pathetic fool...
It's too too noisy.... Brother!
...a little higher...
Who are you?... Dad!
Quickly, the demi-god withdrew his paw, pulling it to his head, wincing. What was that? God...fool...noisy...brother...higher...dad? what did it all mean? Dumu's violet eyes glance through his paw at the red cub. He was twisted....very twisted and impossible to read. Who exactly was he? Suddenly his eyes grew wide when his head hurt again.
Eyes of emerald surrounded by white, a sneering grin. A flash of silver, bordered by blue, dark aura. The two mixing together into a single face. Darkness...
The rogue growled and fell backward, covering his head with his paws.
"Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!"

Belial froze as Dumu touched his shoulder, thanks to his own seer capibilities overcome with the feeling of another within his thoughts, seeing just for a second all that he had seen in one sudden flash. His breath caught in his throat at the sensation of such a sudden and agonising vision, the voices all but roared in his ears in defiance of the invader and he heard his dreams replayed in fast forward.
As Dumu pulled back it all slowed to a crawl, leaving the red lion struggling to think, to line up the pieces of his thoughts into a semblance of order. He hadn't known the other was going to look so deeply or he'd have warned him, warned him that he wasn't right, wasn't normal in the way he thought.
Scrambling to his paws, he ran over to Dumu, ears back, looking apologetic.
"Belial.." Yes, that was him, wasn't it? "Be..Belial is sorry." he looked at his paws and shivered "Sorry you had to see that."
He felt better, if only for a second, better that someone else had heard them, heard the constant raging noise of his mind, saw that blue lion who he'd never met, the hatred he felt so close by some nights when he tried to sleep.
But at the same time, he hadn't wanted to hurt Dumu or scare him. His brown eyes were wide as he looked at the grass, scared to look anywhere else.
"So much noise.."

Dumu withed in pain as the voices echoed in his head as those eyes...those dark eyes glared, peered into him, his very soul. He could feel himself shake, his eyes wide, his body violently moving on its own. Dumu was not in control. His mind remained in the terror filled state of those eyes...
"...Aah..."
He moaned, his paws on his head, claws tapping against his skull. He could feel something wet drip from his paw, his tail tucked between his legs. Was this...was this truely the darkness of teh Pride Lands? Who was this cub? Who was he? What was he? Belial the Prince of the Pride Lands...was connected to something dark and evil.
Through the lost darkness, a voice echoed through it and to him. "Belial is sorry." it said. Almost instantly everything vanished with one final scream.
His eyes finally worked again. Lush green grass swayed in the winder, brushing up against him. The deep blue sky above, cloudless and free from all obstructions. Dumu blinked and sat up, rubbing his head. What just happened. He turned to the red cub who was now looking down at the grass. Had he gone through the same? He felt something wet slide from his muzzle against, drool?
"Belial..."

Belial could only sit in silence as Dumu got his own thoughts back in order. He could not feel guilt for his own thoughts, having only the vaguest grasp of the concept in his head. He wanted to ask what the other lion with his eye that could all but see into the soul, had spied inside his mind but was afraid to in case his reply was simply "evil" Belial never wanted to end up like that darkness that lurked in the cracks of his mind, that malevolent hatred he could all but taste whenever he saw his father and that blue lion together. The blue in his dreams was the same blue of his brothers, was it his father's father? Someone else? Why did the colour blue make him worry so much? It could even have been to do with that blue lion he'd seen by the waterhole a few times.
The snarling voices ebbed to quiet conspirational whispers as Dumu finally spoke, making Belial relax enough to start breathing again. He'd been so afraid that he'd really messed with the other lion's head, ruining any chance he had to know him.
"I see things." he said simply. "Not all of those things are things I've ever saw. The white lion is dad the dark one..I don't know." he felt he owed at least that much of a discription.

Dumu smiled and placed his paw on his shoulder once more. At least nothing happened instantly.
"Belial, from what I can gather...you are just like I am. That means you would know someone who has wings, right?"
He asked, looking at him. He had to be. That would certain explain such violent thoughts of things he has never seen before. Perhaps that was why the touch wasn't as instant as those of the mortals he has seen before. Didn't he know he was a Seer just like he was? Didn't anyone tell him? He and his brother, Akiiki, were told that they were when they started having wierd dreams and thoughts. Belial didn't know?
Dumu looked down at his paw on Belial's shoulder and drew it back.
"Don't worry, the first time is the roughest. After that, it's just mild ones....I think."
He reassured, smiling the best he could through the pain that still lingered from his vision. But what concerned him was...what did Belial see?
