The golden lion had been up for a good long time now, running and running around. Hunting the biggest games he could manage by himself. Swimming in the coldest watering holes. All of these to keep him awake, he could not sleep, well not without hurting himself when he awoke. He could not sleep, memories always plagued him, ones he wished didn't. He needed help, but all those who have tried, gave him the same answer, one that he did not want to hear. Ger refused to believe that he could only have one of two, there was a way to have both, but he just needed to know what....

Slowly, the Pride Lander walked along a worn path, most likely used by the animals of the area to head to the Pride Lands, or another territory, or the watering hole. There were many lions he had met, ones he had never thought of. Firekin, Mistweaver, rogues, and others. All from being away from the Pride Lands, his home. Though he missed it much, but he must keep his 'Pride Lander's Promise' to Kujack, he wasn't about to break it either. But he often found himself wandering back to the lands without even noticing until he spotted that familiar rock structure that he saw as his home, where his friends were, where the last of his family had been. Where Jahazara was, he would never know now.

"Ez....Mom....Trina..."

He muttered, staring down at his paws as he walked. The three reasons why he could not sleep without regret when he woke up.

(( A'right, XD Ger seems very confused, XD Maybe Ash'll take his mind off things, XDDD *faceplant* Since Ash is so darn.. messed up. XD; ))

A rather large, bright white figure toddled along through the green, grassy plains of the Pridelands. Despite the voice in the back of his mind telling him to stay away, he, unfortunately, just kept coming back.

He'd been told when he was just a cub that prides contained vicious, evil lions. Canibals and destroyers they all were.. the last girl he'd met around these parts seemed subject to that statement, considering the way she'd chased him around.

Yet this wasn't enough to keep him away. Even this particular adult could admit that this, above all the others, was in fact the most pretty territory. It figures that the pretty places always attracted the mean beasts.

Amidst his daydreaming and thoughts, Ashado had lost all awareness, hardly noticing the juvenile meandering towards him as he continued to pace forwards. It was actually, and most likely, a good thing that he hadn't taken notice to the youngling, taken into consideration of how jumpy he always seemed to be.

With a rather loud, heavy sigh, Ash snapped back into reality, ears quirking forward as his pink colored eyes were attracted to the moving figure in the distance. With an exceptionally loud yelp/squeal/scream (rather unusual for a male..), Ash dashed towards the nearest, hoping to dash behind it before the juvenile saw.

"Spies.. all spies.. spies to find me.. and.. and eat me.." He spoke under his shaking breath while peeking out from behind the rock at the pridelander. He had to be. Who else would be stalking around in the middle of no where?

The golden male continues down the path, his eyes still on his paws. He was lost in though.

Ezeoha was there for me, my only male friend I had. Besides, I promised that one day, I would get him to open up to me. I have to keep that. Trina...I promised to protect her and be there if she needed me. I have to keep that too. But I promised Kujack that I would-

His thoughts were stopped when his step was deeper than the last, a sudden change. Looking down, his paw was in another's larger paw print. What? Bringing his nose down, he notice it still carried the scent of the lion who made it. Male, was made just a moment ago, fresh. He raised his head into the air, taking in a deep breath, trying to catch a strong wiff of any male scents around. Slowly he moved around, keeping his nose up in the air.

"(Alright....now where are you...)"

Ger whispered to himself, his teal eyes touching every moving object. Then he saw it, well...it did stick out. A white mass stuck out slightly behind a gray rock, sort of noticeable anywhere. Ger would assume that was the male.

"Alright, come on out."

A wave of relieve washed over the rogue as the juvenile seemed to have hardly noticed his presence. Unfortunately, that relief was exceptionally short-lived for this male.

Why was it that he managed to run into someone every time he wandered around thiese parts..? Was their army honstly /that/ large? The male let his imagination wander. Hundreds, thousands, maybe, of beasts that could swarm him.

"This must be one of their spies.." He continued to whisper, his voice steadily becoming more and more rattled. He'd be found.. and.. and.. and then..

He couldn't bear even the thought of it.

This stranger seemed to have picked up on his scent, and, unfortunately, seemed on the right track. His orders were given rather straight forward, telling Ash to leave the safety zone of the rock. Psh. Never.

"Why should I?" He called back, attempting to harden his voice to make him sound a bit more.. intimidating, although the thought that might have come across was merely him being a coward.

Ger gave a playfull smirk. What sort of lion was so cowardly to hide behind a rock? Honestly, under it sounded much better.

Slowly he climbed upon the rock, and laid on the top, looking down to him. A large white male lion. Strange, pure white? That was something he had yet to see, but here he was, white as white could ever be. But what was this lion doin' here?

"Well, if you're not gonna come out from behind it, I figured I come to you." he smiled, teal eyes shining in the African sun. Ger chuckled softly as he remembered how this lion responded, he was trying so hard to sound strong, but it was rather...weak? Yeah, that's that word. "So now, what are you doing way out here?"

As Ger watched on, he tried to link him to any Prides that he knew of. Pride lander? No, he has never seen him there before unless he joined after Ger wandered off. Mistweaver? Possibly. Firekin? No....he doesn't look or sound as dangerous as how Mufasa talked about. Maybe an Maziko? No...his fur is too white for that. So what was he?

"Are you a....rogue? Do you have a pride or a family?"

It took Ash an exceptionally long time to even register that Ger had climbed and laid on the rock, rather than having stayed on the ground. This brought him to the conclusion that the juvenile had left, giving a second wave of relief. However, just as short as the last was, the adult abrubtly squealed/gasped at the first sound of the younglings voice, followed by sighting him atop that darn rock he was hiding behind. Almost instantly he ducked, covering his head with his two front paws for protection. A sort of.. sheild, if you will.

Some hiding place. Silently he cursed the rock for this.

He attempted to recover from the sudden panick quickly, although this seemed hardly the case. Again, as he spoke, his voice seemed completely rattled.

"Nothing! Nothing, honest! I'm just.. just.. uhm.." He mumbled, his voice muffled, pondering the second question before replying. "I'll never tell! You can't make me, spy! Now.. now.. leave me alone before I.. uhm.. I.. uuuhh.. push.. you.. off that rock!" He yelped, taking a mild peak in an upwards direction, only checking to make sure that Ger was still on top of the rock to make his comment valid.

Ger watched the lion cower before him. This was rather....awkward. A grown lion who cowered before a juvenile, almost adolescent if not already, lion? Where was a photographic memory when you needed one? Ger reached back to his neck and scratched the erratiable fur that was the beginning of his mane. He was told to ignore it, but it just got irratating sometimes. This lion had a mane, perhaps he went through the same thing. Wait, would he end up like this if his mane grew out? Even know it was irratiting, if it grew more it was drive him crazy, insane! The Pride Lander shook his head of the thoughts and watched the lion.

"Spy? Pushing me off of here?"

Ger asked, questioning the threats and the...accusation. Carefully, silently, Ger climbed down and laid before him, watching him with deep teal eyes, ones he inherited from his father's side of the family since no one in the Pride Lands pride, who was born there, had the same color. Most of them were red or brown, inherited from the royal family. Slowly, he reached a paw out and placed it gently on his muzzle.

"I'm not a spy, I'm just a Pride Lander. We don't have spies...well, not that I know of anyways. And as for the rock, I'm not on it. Geez you are as jumpy as my Dad in a pit of cubs."

Ger smiles, chuckling a bit.

"Name's Ger, son of Jahazara and Argoko. From the Pride Lands, Pride Rock to be more specific."

This kid seemed innocent enough, but Ash would hardly let his guard down. Afterall, that was always what spies and beasts did. They wait until your off guard and then.. WHAM.

No. This wouldn't happen to him. He wouldn't let it.

The second Ger moved closer, the adult quickly jumped away, screambling to his feet and immediately leaping atop the rock where Ger had just been standing.

"Psh! I know you're game! Get me off my guard and then get your lands army to come and find me. Every territory has one, especially the pridelands," He added with a frown, scooting as far away as the juvenile as possible, however still keeping atop the boulder.

"Pridelander beast.." he added distastefully in reply to Ger's introduction to himself. Meanwhile he continued to scoot as far as possible, although only resulting in his falling off on the opposite side with another yelp.

Ger narrowed his eyes, what is with this male? Accusing the peaceful Pride Lands of having an army? Or was there one? He had been gone awefully a long time from his home....but he still has his promise to Kujack, his Pride Lander's Promise. However, he also made one to Ezeoha and Trina....he shook his head, pushing it aside, he didn't want them to bother him today. Though he knew it would come back later.

"I am not a spy, mister. Also, the Pride Lands does not have an army. Sure they may have many lions inhabiting it, but that is because this place is safe for everyone who lives here. Only eat what is needed and allow the Circle of Life continue, that is what these lands are based on. And I don't like the idea of you besmudging it with these crazed accusations."

Ger spoke, holding back a growl deep in his throat. His teal eyes kept on the male as he stood on the boulder he was on moments ago, slowly moving away from the juvenile.

"Hey, the edg---"

Ger cried out, reaching a paw out in a futile attempt to grab onto him as the white male fell over onto the other side. He quickly hopped onto the rock and looked down at him.

"Geez, are you alright?"

He asked, sort of ignoring or rather, oblivious to his last comment.

Ash could hardly find the time to say anything in response to Ger's comments, considering that he'd found gravity deciding to drag him downward off the opposing side of the rock. Even with Ger's frantic attempt to grab him, the adult had still managed to fall.

SEE? Violent creatures these were! Evil beasts trying to kill.. yes. Ash's mind was made up. And as Ger's figure became visible on top of the rock, the albino began to immediately scoot backward. "Go away!" He yelped, scrambling to all fours before shooting off at a sprint. He'd try to put as much distance as possible between himself and the pridelander beast. Yes. That way he'd be safe. Well. Safer, anyway, even if the kid had decided to try and follow.

Ger tilted his head. What was up with that one? The adolescent looked around and saw that no one else was around. Well...he did ask for him to go away so that would mean that he would not want him around. The lion hopped off the rock and turned from the direction of teh white.

"I guess there are some of us who are just plain crazy...."

Chuckling, he started off. Heading back home. Wonder what Kujack and the family are doing...
