The chocolate and honey colored cub yawned lazily as she rolled on the warm ground several times, for no apparent reason. She had sneaked off from her den as she usually did, and was on her way to the Pride Rock when she realized she didn't let her brother 'Kota about her absence. She always let him know she was going out--not because she wanted to be found but because she hated to worry him above anyone else... Trinacria did not even care about her mother that much.
She was debating whetever to turn back to tell him or just follow the path she deaignated for the day. She decided on the latter.. She was bored and she wanted to meet new lions or old friends.. Not that she had many.. She did not like friendships, they required so much effort and commitment. She was not ready yet... The young cub liked fooling around mroe than anything else and ejoying the moment like there would be no tomorrow, because for all she knew, there might be none.
She hummed slowly to herself as she walked towards the Pride Rock, she could now even see it.. Hopefully there would be someone else there to meet...

Today was Ger's day off. Since he began to venture on his own he has been to the Pride Land's edge, to the watering hole, and the Elephant Graveyard. Today he spoke with Mufasa himself, now he is just lounging around the great stone structure.
"Soooooooo bored." he moaned, laying on his back staring into the endless sky.
Why doesn't anyone else wake up when I am? I never have someone to play with....
Bored. Ger started to roll himself to try to amuse himself. Without paying attention, Ger rolled over the stairs and bumped all the way down and then landed with a thud.
"OW!" he shouted on impact. He rubbed his head. "Stupid stairs...."

Trina turned a half circle when she head a loud thud noise fron her right side. What was that?... She did not even have to venture all the way to the Pride Rock to meet someone new. Smiling, the brown cub walked to the source of the noise, hoping it is a playmate. By playmate, of course she was thinking of a male cub near her age.
"Hey! Are you alright?" she sang into the empty air near the stairs. "Do you need help?" she took a step closer and a small orange cub attracted her attention at the end of the stairs. She walked towards him to take a look if he was ok before she went on enjoying herself in his company.
"Gorgeous eyes?" she exclaimed as she quickly recognized the cub. What was he doing... falling from the stairs? Males were so predictable!

Ger looked up at the familiar female with large teal eyes, rubbing his head. "Hey Trina. I'm alright....stupid stairs can't even stay consistant.." he growled.
Trina was the only female Pride Lander cub that he knew. They usually played together, she was always acting strange around him. Rubbing against him, nuzzling him, bashing her eyes, and purring. She was strange when he was around....or is she just like that with all the other cubs?
"So what's up?" he smiled innocently. "I haven't seen you in a while."

Trina smiled as she sat down "First things first... Are you sure you are alright?" She leaned over to see Ger's head. "It is not hurting a lot?" She did not want to see a friend hurt. Even though Ger was a male and thus he could not be as clever as a female, he was still a friend... Actually her first real friend.. She did not count Ez since they were so similar to each other that it was not easy for them to co-exist together harmonically.
As she made sure there was no serious injury on the orange cub's head with a caring paw Trina smiled "I am alright... Playing around new places" She paused "I have even seen the Elephant Graveyard" she said proudly in a rather innocent tone. "I wish I could have gone there with you thought" she winked playfully.

Ger smiled up at his friend. "I've been there before. I met a hyena there too." he also met a monster too...but that's something Trina didn't need to know.
"Maybe we can go there sometime, y'know? Just the two of us." he smiled happily. Sometimes she reminded him of Ezeoha....wonder why? "Unless you don't want to of course, the place isn't all that great." Ger was more concerned about running into that monster, Tanaka, again. Sure he could take care of himself, but he wasn't sure if Trina would be okay with it.

Trina purred contently as she listened to Ger. It was impressive, impressive indeed. She had not expected him to have the heart to wonder all the way to the graveyard. Of course she did not tell him these... Flattering was his job, not hers.
"Did you go there all alone?" she asked out of curiosity rather than concern. He was old enough to take care of himself, probably...
She slowly got up and circled around Ger, smiling charmingly as if to make him dizzy with all that whirling motion. "Two of us? Alone? I never knew you as the romantic type Ger!" the brown lioness let out a sweet laughter "I would love to go somewhere alone with a charming lion as yourself" She nuzzled him slowly and affectionately. "Lead the way then..."

Ger smiled and nodded. "Alright, come on." he nuzzled her quickly, "I wouldn't want to go with any one else." he cub winked and started down Pride Rock's path.
As the two walked along the dirt path to the graveyard. "Yeah, I went there alone. Not as scary as I thought it would be actually. I found the forest north of here to be more intresting." he said, a hint of confidence in his tone. "The hyena I met there was a coward anyways, so there wasn't much fun to do. But I did meet this large animal. He was like a hyena but he wasn't one, his name was Jamaa." Ger smiled as the two continued. Every now and again he would glance over to Trina and quickly turned back when he suspected her of looking back. Puppy love....cub love?
"Have you been doing anything fun? Especially with Ezeoha around, something's bound to happen, right?"

If Trina was not a polite cub with manners, she could not help but roll eyes at Ger's comment... such predictable male behavior. They were quite easy to play with really... Just a few smiles and kind words and ta-da! You got his attention. However, being the way she was, she just smiled at him and nodded. There was something about Ger that made her actually enjoy spending time with him unlike those other males she hanged around just for the kicks of it. So she followed him.
"I have never been to the forest" she purred "... are there hyenas in the forest too? I don't like hyenas" she declared quite resolute. "I met one with my brother Kota too.. He was mean.." she walked closer to Ger "But then again I did not have someone as strong as you to protect me from that hyena" She looked at him through her long eyelashed and smiled sweetly. A name well earned... He really had gorgeous eyes...

Ger gulped as she looked up to him. Sure he can romantic, but under pressure, he can easily lose it. "Well, the forest doesn't have hyenas, no. But it's a great place. Think of the Pride Lands with trees everywhere and you can always see another one just a few inches away. Trees that reached all the way up to sky and almost no sunlight could come through." he tried to describe the best he can. "When it does it's like the sky on earth. It's amazing. And the lake....the lake looked like your eyes, beautiful." he said with a grin. "Large and so clear. It was amazing when the sun touched it."
He looked at her with his teal eyes and smiled. "Don't worry, I can handle anything." he puffed out his chest when his paw got caught by a rock and he fell over. "umph!"

"Are we talking about my eyes or the lake?" Trina giggled. She loved misinterpreting words on purpose. "Sounds like a great place the way you describe it Ger.. Why don't we go and see for ourselves?" She would love to see this magical place... was Ger exaggerating? If he wasn't... how come their mother has never took them there to show?
She suddenly realized Ger no longer walked with her. Curiously she turned her head and saw he was on the floor. The chocolate colored lioness sighed, there was not end to the ways of the males trying to prove themselves. Ger especially seemd clumsy, which she came to like over time. She could keep an eye out for him like she did with her brother Kota. However he did not have to know that. Him knowing she cared would make her as weak and vulnerable as she liked to make her male acquaintances.
Trina slowly walked over to him and carelly licked a paw which looked slightly injured "There... Any better?" she smiled, showing her charming small teeth.

"Lots." he replied. He raised to his feet and sort of groomed himself of the dirt in his fur. He wanted to be presentable at all times. Sometimes the first impression could be the last.
"Well, I can take you there some other day if you like. There's another pride there that I met. They are nice though." he said between licks. "You should really see the lake, it's great."
When he felt satisfied with his fur he got up. "Ready?" he asked ready to go to the graveyard. She was really charming, almost makes me think again about taking her to the graveyard. But he wouldn't want to disappoint her if he decided to go back to Pride Rock when she wanted to go there with him.

"Another Pride??" Trina was so often surprised but so rarely show it that this reaction of hers shocked the chocolate lioness too. She never thought there could be another pride than Pridelanders.. she have only seen lions from there and a hyena in her life, what would she know anyways... "I did not know there were other prides... How many are there?" she asked in a childish innocence, her red brown eyes full of confusion.
She nodded to Ger and got ready to follow him again "You are nothing like Ez" she said while they are on their way. She meant it as a compliement "You know how to treat a lady.. I like that" she smiled. Ger was gentler than Ez which made it harder for her to somehow be impartial to him as she usually was against other males.

The teal eyed male smiled over his shoulder as the two walked. "Yeah, Eze and I are different. Eze is more...assertive than I am, that is for sure." it was true, Eze knew what he wanted and always aimed for it with such tatics that Ger could not mimic nor dream of. "Then again I'm not Eze."
"Well, King Mufasa told me that there are alot of prides out there now. There is one called Firekin that live in the des-ert." he said with some difficulty. "Mistweavers that live in the nearby valley. And then there are the ones in the forest." he said. "I want to see them all some day. When I get older of course."
The graveyard wasn't far now, it was in sight now. "Hey look, the graveyard."

"I am glad you are not Ez" she smiled. It was not like she hated Ez, but they were too similar to like each too fondly. "...gorgeous eyes" she added. She wondered which side of his family he got his eyes from. She knew she got er eeys from her father's side because her mother had pink eyes and Trina's were a reddish tone of brown she quite liked actually.
"Oh yes.... You told me you met Mufasa..." Trina nodded "I bet you will have a fluffier mane when you grow up" she added flirtatiously. Firekin? The name sounded charming... Maybe there were a lot of play mates for her in those lands? She put in her mind to visit there when she grew up a little. "I bet my bother 'Kota would like to see them too" Males were always so full of wonderlust... but she doubted her brother would leave their mother for too long. He was a mama's boy.. very unlike her who did not have a very close relationship with her mother.
Trina unconsciously walked closer to Ger when she realized they were closer to the graveyard, her chocolate fur brushing his honey colored one. She was not the type to act brave when she felt scared, so being close to the male cub was onyl a normal reaction for her to display in such a situation "I am glad you are here Ger..." she said, looking at him through those eyeslashes again "What would I do if i encountered a hyena all alone?".
