The colliflower cub tested her balance along the high branches of the trees in the jungle. She was not far from her family, they were just a cry away if she needed them. All she had were her sister, her brother, and her mother. Her father, Limbuko, was off again. She wondered why he left...did he hate them? Her family? Did he hate her?

The thoughts distracted her while she walked. Her paw took a misstep and swayed to the side. The leoponess' eyes grew wide as she tried to balance herself the best she could. Her leg flailed in the air, her claws etching into the side of the branch, he tail flicking wildly. If she did not get her balance, she would fall and it was quite the ways down. Limbua took a deep breath and shot her wait into the side falling over and quickly jerked it back toward the branch, throwing her body back onto it.

Her eyes opened, beads of sweat hiding under her fur, her chest raising and falling.

Alright...no more thinking while balancing.

She thought as she laid there, collecting her breath. This was the only trait/skill she was better at than her siblings. Her sister was playful and fast, a good fisher too. Her brother was handsome, great with his paws in crafts. She herself was nothing like them, she looked like her father, but at first glance no one would pick that up. Balancing was all she was good at.

Limbua sighed and walked to the base of the branch, climbing down to the ground where it was safe. Well, safer than up in the trees. Perhaps it was about time to head back, nothing never happened out here.

Kimya, he'd called her, he said it was because she didn't speak a word since the day he'd rescued her from her captors. He was a kind lion, certainly not a species she'd expect any sympathy from, yet he'd taken her away from those vicious canines, given her a name when she couldn't recall her own, and though he seemed very broody in and of himself, he gave her comfort. When it was cold out he let her sleep curled between his paws. When she grew hungry or tired he'd provide food, or carry her, always in search of her mother. Their search brought them to the edge of the jungle. Zuko was currently sleeping off the last hunt while "Kimya" crept away from his sleeping form.

The colliflower female sat in the clearing a bit before heading back to her family. She didn't get many chances to wander from it, and when she did she was never too far from them. She sighed to herself and sat there where the single ray of sun actually penetrated the canopy above her. It was like a ray of hope that she could always see faith in and keep her going. This was her little spot even if it was wide open.

"Limbuko....father...."

She murmured to herself, it had been a while since he came and left. Why didn't he stay? Was it because he didn't like her or her siblings? Maybe he had some important business elsewhere. She awaited the day he would return it would be nice to see him again. He was what she classified all males as; big, strong, kind, caring, protective, not to mention undeniably handsome. She wondered what he meant when he spoke of her mother having cubs...how did she have cubs? She always thought it was some miracle that brought Ku, Nac, and herself to life. She made a note to ask her father during his next visit.

Limbua flopped onto her back and basked in the only light there was near home.
