The conversation he had the other day with Resee still lingered in his mind. It was a huge step for a female like her to be wanting something like that. However, he knew where she was coming from. The want to love, care, and cherish something it was only natural for anyone. He would talk to Tajwar about that matter, but what troubled him was what he promised to the young female. He could not go back on his word, the last time he had, everything went down hill and dragged him into a dark mood. Thank goodness Tajwar came to him when she did or else he wouldn't have lasted very long then. But what worried him was what Taj would reply to his questions, she already had a litter with Sesere a male she saw as a close friend to her and well, why have another for him? He wanted one, he could not deny it. It was part of his new self-rule that he would not lie or conceal anything, he knew the results of those actions if they were to happen. He'd would return and then...he will lose everything.
Usu paced outside of his den under the acacia, who has been quiet for a time now. The sun's breams penetrated its leaves and danced on the ground below. He was lost in thought of how he was going to ask her such questions. Mostly it would be on Resee's behalf, even if she didn't know it, but he needed help from someone who has actually gone through labor and raised cubs with a male. He had not experience, he only cared for them. What was he going to do? He could not help but pace faster and longer with every new question into his mind.
To calm himself, the male stopped and closed his eyes, trying his best to focus his abilities. Future...future...future... he chanted to himself trying to persuade his powers to aim to a vision of the future, maybe then he could figure out a straight answer. Would it be a vision of Resee? Would it be of his beloved female and himself? But when the ping came, no image came to his eyes. Nothing, just darkness. What was it? Suddenly he was hit by a sudden feeling he had not felt in such a long time....it was the same feeling he had when Tajwar gave him the news. That incredible pain that hurt him that made him deter from his two friends. Wait...was that why he left Tajwar and Sesere for Zing and Saa? Because of that feeling? No, impossible, he got over it...right?
The grey seer shook his head and sat down, rubbing it trying to make that pain go away, he never wanted to feel that again he had no reason to this time. Everything was gonna be fine, maybe it wasn't the future but the past. He was happy with Tajwar, he was happy that Ali found a mate, a bit iffy about yazid, and happy about the path Resee has taken. He had no use for this feeling but it still hurt him.
Wincing, he gripped the his tribal mark, praying it would just disappear and leave him alone.

“Usu? Is that you?”
*The dark eyes female asked as she padded out from behind her resting place. She had found shade within the company of a large rock and had been napping there all day. With a soft smile she gave him joyful glance and walked over to him. At first she couldn’t really see his distress… due to her being half awake still but as she moved herself closer to him… his condition became visible.*
“What’s wrong?”
*She asked in a soft tone; worried for her mate. He meant a lot to her… so seeing him this way made her very unhappy.*
“Did something happen? Please… talk to me?”
*Tajwar sat herself beside him and licked at his left ears softly, trying to settle him down. He seemed so… distant. With a soft frown she gazed at him and awaited his reply.*

Usu's perked when he heard her bell-chime voice echo to his ears. He picked his head up and tried his best to conceal the feelings and thoughts from her, for the meantime. However as she approach, already her usual barrage of caring questions came. All he could do was smile.
"I had a feeling you were going to say that. I remember when you first asked me to talk to you."
He smiled and nuzzled her back.
"Anyways, I digress. What is worrying me is Resee. I had a discussion with her the other day, she seemed distress and believed that if she had a pup of her own then she would snap out of it. I understand where she is coming from, love. I understand it all too well, but you are her mother I am not. What do you think one should do going about bearing, or preparing for cubs?"
He was gonna be a bit oblique about his own question. Perhaps his answers could be obtained through getting answers from Resee's situation. He'd come out and ask her later unless she catches on sooner.
"Resee is thinking of a mate, a male who doesn't have to stick around. But if the said male does stick around and wanted to raise cubs without wanting to force Resee into having them, what do you think Resee would do or say to said male?"
The male pause, looking her over before perking up a bit.
"Out of curiousity of course!"

“She wants pups?”
*Tajwar asked softly. Her baby wanted to be a mother! Oh, this hit Tajwar in the pit of her gut like a rocket spinning out of control. She couldn’t feel bad though, it was her choice, Tajwar could only stand beside her in what she wanted to do.*
“My dear girl… Awwww…”
*With a soft sigh Tajwar sat herself down and gazed up at the, as if looking for the answers to questions unknown.*
“It’s her life… if that is what she wants and if she loves this male then I am sure they could work something out; who is this male? Tell me Usu, who had taken my girls heart?”
*She was really just concerned about her pup! She didn’t even think to look past his words and see that Usu was also asking /her/ a question. Sometimes Tajwar was just very oblivious.*

Usu nodded and nuzzled against her.
"Yes, it is what she said she wanted. There were many things, but that is what she has chosen above the others."
He replied, lying beside her. Tajwar was very concerned of her daughter, and in a way, Usu was exactly the same.
"Taj...I cannot tell you who has stolen Resee's heart. I myself do not know who it is. All she said was that she wanted a pup, she said nothing much about the male that would help her along."
The male murred and leaned against her.
"We must do all we can to help Resee, her litter is much more important than our own. We have to take care of Resee first."

“I will have to find her and speak to her about this… I do miss my girls.”
*With a soft sigh the female nestled herself against Usu and sighed deeply.*
“It’s a shame… I feel as if I hardly know them at all.”
*Inside she did feel like a poor mother… not being around a lot when they were smaller; but Taj wanted to fix that; she wanted to be a good mother for her pups.*
“I will go look for her in a bit… but for right now, will you rest with me? My mind is clouded by many thoughts… I just need some company.*

The male nodded and nuzzled back against her, right now, all he could do is comfort her the best he could. Even without his abilities, he knew she was feeling horrible, but what caused it he did not know. Usu was determined to figure it out and help her the best she could.
"Right, come lets rest. We will go out and seek out the girls when we wake. I shall escort you to them."
He knew each of their locations, Ali's and Resee's. He had a vague idea of where Zaini was, she was with Sesere...but that was it. The two boys, he had never met them and in so had no idea where they were.
The seer turned to her and licked her softly,
"I love you, Tajwar..."
He was glad she was not turned to him. His face was beat red after saying "her litter is much more important than our own." He had no idea where the 'our own' came from. Somewhere in there, he hoped she did not pick up on it.

“Usu...”
Tajwar sighed with a soft smile, unable to think up the right things to say to such a statement. For so long she had been lost, trapped within sorrow and anger with herself, she felt like a failed mother, she felt like she had really messed up in motherhood... but here she was with another change, another shot at a family. Why didn’t she take it?
Why didn’t she tell Usu that she wanted to start a family with him? Was it because she feared it... feared messing up again? He was a seer, wouldn’t he know if she would make a good mother this time around... wouldn’t he be able to see it?
She wouldn’t ask him though; she couldn’t bring herself to put him in such a place. With a soft smile she nuzzled her chin along his back and gave him a soft lick before speaking.
“Usu, thank you for all that you have done for me. For treating my pups like your own. Thank you.”

"Taj.... love, I made a commitment when I agreed to be their God-father, you may have decided to put that aside, but I still wish to be there for them when I can and if I can. I am still learning to be a father since I've never had my own. I have been very content with watching other's pup grow up and.... well, I am glad I got to see your family grow up when I got the chance. I still remember when Ali was still young, she was beautiful and she still is. Zaini's still a handful from what I can see with these powers of mine, I remember clearly that she tried to eat a frog. Ses and I got into a fight over that one. Tajwar, I love you, I'd do anything for you and Ses and the family that you two created. You must've have had something for him to start one, whatever happened to it, where ever it went.... at least you got me here to help you out."
Wow, if that last part didn't sound too boasting.... oh nevermind. Usu smiled and murred softly, nuzzling her back. She must've understood by now how he felt for her. He loved her when they first met, she was the first to break his heart, she was the first one he has ever called a mate and he was happy. Maybe the struggles to his happiness was finally over, maybe this was his happiness, his good life, the one the shamans of his back had predicted, the one his marking dictated. The struggles..... maybe... just maybe, it was over.
"Come, lay down, please, rest a while and when we wake, we can do whatever you want. I just want you to rest up, dun want you tired when I decide to take you running in the morning."

Usu watched Taj slowly move over to him, resting carefully beside him. She wrapped her tail around her and gave him a quick glance before resting her head down. With a smile, he moved himself against her and did the same. The two slowly drift off to the world of dreams.
