(( ^^ ))

Kazi whipped his tail from side to side as he made his way to the eastern border of the Pridelands. It'd been a while since he'd been anywhere but nearby Pride Rock, and he thought it might be a bit more interesting to go and take a self-guided tour of the lands. He took in the scents and scenes of his surroundings, smiling and letting old memories rush back to him. Once he reached the border, he lay nearby a boulder for some shade. A long walk and growing thirst had made him a little tired. "Mmm..." he murmured to himself as he closed his eyes, letting a breeze of wind hit his face before he lowered his head to his paws.

Wherever this place was, Hasana didn't like it. It was hotter than the places she'd been so far, but ironicly had the least amount of shade. Perhaps she was being over dramatic?
Even so, she wasn't up to the task of dragging an entire zebra back to the place where she and her new 'traveling companion' (for lack of a better word choice--espesically considering she couldn't remember his name) had chosen to dwell until they decided to move on. So, she'd settled for ripping the entire back leg off.
Half way to said place, the zebra-coated lioness spotted another. "You're insane," she muffled around the detached limp in her mouth. "It's too hot out here."

The male lion's ears twitched at the sound of a female's voice not too far away. He lifted his head and stifled a yawn as he searched for the owner of the voice. Within moments he finally caught sight of a lioness with a leg of some animal in her mouth. He shook his head and shrugged. "That's why I'm in the shade. You can join me if you'd like. The heat isn't all that pleasant after all..." and with that, he lowered his head again, though he kept his eyes open to see if she'd take him up on his offer or not.

It wasn't often she did so, but Hasana thought it over. Briefly, mind you, and but a few seconds later she shrugged her shoulders and apparently came to a silent agreement. What's-his-face could wait a bit--or better yet get his own food if he was hungry enough.
Plopping down beside the stranger, she dropped the zebra leg and pushed it off to the side with her paw. "I'm Hasana," she introduced, squinting her eyes and glaring toward the sun.

"I'm Kazi," he replied. His voice was muffled because he had yet to lift it from his paws. He was really tired. "So Hasana, what brings you to the pride lands anyhow?" he asked, finally lifting his head so he could speak properly. He smiled softly as a breeze whipped past them, relieving their bodies of the heat for only a second. "Oh, and it's a pleasure to meet you," he added on, just to be polite.
